High Street is adjacent to the Desert Ridge Marketplace. On Sunday mornings from 9am-1pm, part of High Street is closed off for the Farmers Market. I recognized a few of the vendors from my frequented Carefree Market. The market is a block of vendors selling soaps, produce, handmade items, dog treats and goodies and then some. High Street has mostly restaurants and a few storefronts. Many of the stores were not open on Sunday. These urban neighborhoods are becoming popular here in Arizona. They have everything you need in one area - upscale shopping, fine dining and entertainment. I like swinging by here when I am in North Phoenix and going for a bite or just a stroll. High Street is located right off the north 101 near Desert Ridge Mall. There are a couple of restaurants that I frequent here like Hulu's, Blue Martini and The Boozy (now closed). Torch is a good place to grab a cigar. High Street will occasionally host events. I have been here a couple of times for their cars shows. Classic cars line the streets for people to view and enjoy. They put up lights and a Christmas tree during the holidays which makes the area beautiful to see from the freeway. Apartments aren't cheap here. But you are paying for the amenities and for being close proximity to all of the options that High Street has to offer. read more

I have been enjoying visits to High Street over the years, especially with my father living nearby. I have visited restaurants and bars, joined in experiences like escape rooms, and roamed the area during festivals. High Street has the ability to be something different for everyone as it considers itself "North Phoenix's most eclectic outdoor entertainment district." They have restaurants like Hula's Modern Tiki, Humble Bistro, Mellow Mushroom, Ocean Prime, and Soda Jerk (milkshake bar) just to name a few. They also have barbershops, salons, real estate offices, stores, animal hospital, fitness and therapy centers, Sprouts Express, an escape room, cigar bar, and a dentist. In fact, if you visit Soda Jerk, there is a hidden escape room (Nemesis Club) right through their doors. In fact, if you book an escape room, you can order Soda Jerk and eat it in a special hidden room. While the restaurants have come and gone, there are always great options which you won't be disappointed. There's a bit of everything. One of the great events hosted at High Street on a regular basis is their farmer's market, which is every Sunday from 9 AM to 1 PM. They also host many events from House of Comedy special guests to car shows to food festivals. I've been to Dish It Out (benefiting the Boys & Girls Club) which was spread throughout High Street, and just yesterday, I visited the USA Today Wine & Food Experience which took place right next to High Street. Needless to say, High Street hosts some great events! High Street is located near the Loop 101 and SR 51 in North Phoenix, which is easy to access from Scottsdale, Downtown Phoenix, and the rest of the Greater Phoenix area. There are free parking structures for self-parking as well as paid valet parking options. It's conveniently right next to Desert Ridge Marketplace where you can drive between the two lots without getting on any other road. read more

I work in one of the buildings located on high street. From the day I stepped into high street there's nothing but falling in love. The whole street has lots of places to eat and each one is unique in its own ways. It's such a nice locality to live, so NY vibe. Restaurants and art galleries at the bottom and residency at the top. Desert ridge is walkable distance. Now, for the holidays it's so beautiful, with a huge Christmas tree, lightings and the whole street is beautiful. The value it adds to the Phoenix market is impressive, there's so much to do, live music, happy hour, farmers market, brunch spot, sprouts, sea food and sushi place, dessert, art gallery, dentist, orthodontist, pizza, wine, tikka shack and much more. We fully intended to have a nice dinner with friends here at Mellow Mushroom. But those plans were foiled. We parked on the top level of the parking garage. Low and behold, we hadn't been out of the car for more than 30 seconds before the security guard pulled up and told us "You aren't allowed to hang out up here." My girlfriend and I stood there in stunned silence. We didn't respond to his statement quick enough, so he immediately followed up with "That means you need to leave." We felt so spoken down to and insulted. What had we done wrong? As we sat in the car trying to figure out where else we could get dinner, he pulled up next to us not even five minutes later, telling us to leave again, this time getting out of his car and approaching us in our vehicle. When we said we were looking on our maps to go someplace else, we were told we "couldn't do that here" and "needed to look at our map someplace else." We left to have dinner elsewhere. Recently attended an event at High Street. Heard about it and really did not know what to expect. It is more than a shopping center. More of a community atmosphere. The buildings are two to three stories high with restaurants, salons, shops and bars on the ground floor. Office space and residences are located on the second and third floors. Really like the concept. Saw several of the establishments that. were participating in the event. Probably something for everyone in terms of food and entertainment including a comedy club, gym, a cigar bar, and a place to make small art pieces. read more

I just moved into some condos right next door to High Street. Coming from LA, I guess I was expecting something different on High Street. Its not nearly as roudy as it might seem. The restaurants and shops near by are super classy. Keeps the riff raff away a bit. As for the night life, there are some very talented local artists that show up to these venues to perform. If you like some Jason Mraz quality acoustic, you'll love hanging out here on a Saturday evening. Lots of great places for drinks. It's kind of out of the way from many other bars, so don't plan on hopping around a lot. You'll not be too happy when your Uber bill gets so expensive. All in all, this is a high quality area to hang out. read more

I love High street. A few city blocks with limited traffic to get your beauty on, shop in unique stores, eat, and drink. There is also a comedy club and cigar bar. I love to just walk up and down High Street and relax with the window shopping. This quaint street lined with white lights & easy access parking in front of venues make this area more accessible than most places & highly sought after anytime of day or night. Me and my 2 friends went to High Street this evening to have dinner and get a few drinks. I've previously spent a lot of time here and have always had a really great time. This evening was a different experience. We thought it would be fun to park at the very top of the parking garage because the sunset looked pretty and we wanted to grab a couple photos of it before dinner. We even parked next to the elevator as we planned on snapping a couple photos and then heading down. My two friends exited my car before I did...within 45 seconds of my two friends exiting my car, security drove up to them and stated "you can't hang out up here." My two friends didn't reply right away because they were confused why this was being said (we've parked in this garage several times before) after they didn't reply, the security man then told them "that means you need to leave." They both got back into the car and told me what happened. We were extremely disappointed and decided we would just go elsewhere for dinner and drinks. We then sat in my car for a couple minutes looking at maps and trying to decide where we now wanted to go for dinner. He then came back up to our car (we had only been there a couple minutes after he told us to leave) I opened my door and asked him "can I help you with something?" He was extremely combative and aggressive in his tone. He replied "you can. You can comply with my request to leave this parking garage." This entire experience was really catching me off guard as I've parked in this garage before without an issue. I explained to him we were looking at our maps trying to find where to go. He then told me "you need look at your maps somewhere else." His tone extremely aggressive. I replied "okay, you don't have to be a dick though." His reply to me was "YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A DICK." The conversation escalated with him becoming increasingly angry all while I was just trying to explain I needed to check my maps before leaving. The conversation ended with us just leaving, upset and confused. Will be hanging out elsewhere in the future as I feel very uncomfortable now even just parking in that area. High street is so close to desert ridge but such a different feel. The comedy house to the restaurants, Pinspiration and even condominiums.. it has such a cozy classy feeling to it! Everything is walking distance in this area and I love seeing people bar hoping on a Saturday night! If you are staying at the Marriott across the street this is the PERFECT place to head! read more
