I had just left another craft-type store nearby that almost had what I needed, and I spotted Hobby Lobby and thought, "Oh yeah... I forget this store exists every few years." I've only been here about three times in my life, and every visit feels like unlocking a secret retail side quest. The moment I walked in and saw nothing but aisle numbers, I knew I was no longer in control of my destiny. There is no such thing as a quick trip here. You don't shop here... you embark. To their credit, an employee pointed me straight to the labels (bless them). They were organized, affordable, and exactly what I needed. Craft supply pricing here honestly feels pretty great. BUT... while there is an overwhelming amount of cute décor, it's just not totally my vibe. It's the kind of cute that makes you excited for five minutes and then quietly wonder if it will survive longer than a seasonal storage bin. Meanwhile, I'm over here wanting items my imaginary future grandchildren will fight over like antique heirlooms. That's probably a me problem. Naturally, I still left with extra items because this store gently convinces you that you're one decorative sign away from becoming a person who owns multiple glue guns and hosts themed brunches. End result: Labels secured. Budget slightly confused. Craft ambitions unrealistically boosted. Great selection, helpful staff, solid prices... just not fully my aesthetic cup of tea. Stopped by this hobby lobby last week as it's near my doctor's office. I found it to be disorganized compared to the Chandler location. The checkout lines were waayyyyy long, with only 2 cashiers. I've visited this location a few times and I do not recommend it. This location's prices are always higher than any other location I've visited compared to Chandler, Gilbert, and Queen Creek. There is rarely ever any clearance here, and if there is any, the prices are high. On my last visit, there were boxes everywhere blocking shelves and aisles. I couldn't fully look or navigate the aisles since it was so cluttered due to them stocking. I drive an hour to this location just to be disappointed. I don't recommend this location. read more

I am in line right now. There are 2 cashiers and one employees swaying back and forth watching all the people in line wait. One of the cashiers asked him if they were getting another cashier and he said possibly at 4. There was a woman who was out front not in a blue vest but had a name tag and looked at the line and left. While having the cashiers hand key everything you need to do better. It's Saturday. Disappointed that Hobby Lobby decided to reduce the sale on fabrics from 40% to 30%. with Joann's closing and Walmart switching to pre-cuts only, Hobby Lobby is sometimes the only place to get fabric without driving long distances or shopping online. read more

This Hobby Lobby is great. Everything is always organized and well presented. I've never seen it cluttered not even the clearance section.

There are ALWAYS long lines with employees walking around not willing to come help unless called up which doesn't happen until you've been waiting for over 10 minutes. They need to man the registers and take care of their customers. In addition, they NEVER make eye contact with you on the floor much less ask you if you need assistance or even how your day is going. When you do need help and have to ask, every employee I have ever had to ask has seemed annoyed to have to stop the stocking they are doing to help. I love their products and it's the only reason I go in but, listening to gospel music overhead while being treated so terribly is very disheartening. Everything has to be hand keyed. I accidentally left my wallet in my car. So I figured I'd just use Apple Pay. I swear I saw someone in line ahead of me use it. But I was tersely told, "Oh, we don't take ApplePay!" So she set it aside , I went to the car, came back, and the person being helped had a 30+ item order that had to be all hand keyed. Yesterday a woman got in line. She wasn't wearing a mask and proceeded to sneeze into her hand. I told the cashiers so they could be prepared for another sneeze. Called corporate office and they sent me to the store manager at the store I was in. He told me that he can only be in one place at a time. I asked him if his employees were taught what to do in these situations. Hobby Lobby, you are solely to blame for allowing this person to shop in your store without a mask and clearly sick. The 50% off and 40% off tags and coupons make it feel like you're coming out like a bandit here. First time to this store. Have only been to one other Hobby Lobby and that was one in Grand Junction, Colorado. Love this store and will definitely come back again! Saw so many awesome things and got some really cool decorative ideas for home and just in general. This place is a crafty person's dream-come-true! The people here are very friendly and helpful and a very polite guy helped my dad and I find our way to the custom framing section, where we purchased a frame kit for a picture of mine that is a really odd size in measurement. But let me worn you my first trip I was their for two hours and could of spent more time as there was parts of the store I never got to. We don't frequent this Hobby Lobby often because there are others closer to us but we were in the neighborhood and needed a couple of things so we stopped in. It's a spacious store with a wide variety of items as one would expect. It's clean, well stocked, and well maintained. Other than at the front counters, we didn't encounter any employees throughout the store, which was okay because we didn't need any help on this particular visit. This was my first time in any hobby lobby and I am glad I checked it out because I really wasn't sure what to expect. The best way to describe the Hobby Lobby is that it is essentially like a fusion of a Michaels and marshals/TJ Max and a home goods store ... They have a lot of cool decor items as well as furniture and all sorts of stuff for people that are into arts & crafts. Overall, the location is very nice, the hours of operation are quite extensive, and the employees here were all very pleasant and helpful when it came to finding what we were looking for and they even helped us to repair a bag of stones that we wished to purchase, but the bag was broken - very nice gesture and attentiveness!! So I'm in hobby lobby with my wife and I decided to get a few things for my daughter. The sign says 50% off and it has the brand name of the little things I'm getting for my daughter's Christmas stocking. I take them up to the front and she says those are not on sale. I used to frequent Michael's stores for my crafty needs, but now I am hooked on Hobby Lobby. This particular location blew me away because it is big, well-lighted and clean. I have browsed this store for inspiration on a number of craft projects and always managed to walk away with a few real bargains. I've even bought items that have proven handy at work -- you have to get pretty creative sometimes to find the perfect vessel or tool suitable for molecular biology labwork! Two things to comment on that most people may not realize about Hobby Lobby. One is that if you sign up to their mailing list through their website, they will e-mail you 40% off coupons fairly regularly (applicable to only one item at the store... but that can really add up if you use it wisely). The second thing I want to mention is the framing department. I had recently discovered an old frame that was the right size for mounting a fantastic map I've always wanted to display. I noticed Hobby Lobby was having a special sale on matte artboard and decided this was my chance to finally do it right. So I brought in the map, the frame and worked with their employees to figure out the best strategy for framing. They had the work done quickly (2 days or so) and I only spent $45 for a beautifully custom-framed piece. The staff here was so friendly and helpful, that this has become my first choice for meeting any of my art and craft-related needs. read more

This must be the newest of the Hobby Lobby's in this area as I didn't even know it was here till a week or so ago. I had decided to venture out over to the Ray Rd/I-10 area to go the Michaels and Super Joanns there when I saw the sign for Hobby Lobby. All three near the same intersection? How convenient is that? I liked this store. It was spacious and well-lit, clean and well-stocked. The layout was the same as the others so it was easy to find the sections I wanted. I've been here twice now and hope to get back before I return to San Diego, where we sadly have no Hobby Lobby stores. read more

I have a confession to make. I have absolutely no sense of style and I'm a cheapskate. To say that my house is spartan is being generous. Trappist monks have more crap than I do. At first I was content with this lifestyle. Lately though, I want my house to feel like HOME rather than a carpeted cell. With the help of a stylish lady-friend I ventured into Hobby Lobby to find some cheap decor that would jazz my place up. It may have been the time of year but every darn thing in the store was half off. Thanks to the pricing I got some sweet art in custom frames, some weird crap to put on the walls, and some pseudo-intellectual knickknacks that I could place around the house. At half off the already reasonable prices my end total wasn't bad at all. While I prefer more eclectic items, Hobby Lobby was a nice stopgap for me on my quest for something approaching stylishness. read more

Giving five stars to review their awesome employees although a couple of their managers could use some help. I had a big return and Kevin helped me with it. I spend a TON of money here so I was so grateful that he didn't give me any trouble and was super nice about having to return some items without a receipt. But when the two managers on duty came over to approve it (I believe one was a manager since his tag said that but another was an assistant manager or something to that sort, her tag said something different) they were not as nice about it. Not only that, I proceed to tell them how awesome their employee was and they acted like they couldn't care less. They actually didn't say anything to me and acted like I was speaking a foreign language. It was weird. I'll continue to shop here in the future but the managers on duty could have seemed a little more enthusiastic when one of their employees was being complimented. Their management team attempts to resolve issues by approaching the customers saying " what's the problem " and saying " mkay " as if the customers don't deserve respect. My mind is blown that a Christian store hires people as MANAGERS who treat customers like absolute crap. Their customer service is despicable.
