I've been to this world market dozens of times each year for years. I find the best gifts because there are so many one of a kind items from all over the world. Edible and collectibles. I have tried nearly every licorice they have ever brought in, same for their olives. Mmmmm!! This is a terrific place to find stocking stuffers too. I've been shopping at this World Market location for many years. This is their Tempe Marketplace location. i recently moved to the area and this is now my regular World Market that I shop at. World Market was once Cost Plus World Market until Bed Bath and Beyond sold them in 2021. In the earlier days, I shopped here for furniture and bottles of wine for my wine collection. Then I started buying their coffee products. I pick up a bag of coffee often, especially during the holiday season when they offer seasonal flavors. World Market sells many specialty and import products. You can find all sorts of stuff like home furniture, kitchen products, decor, rugs, and gifts. In the grocery section are international food products, coffee, beer, and wine. My favorite time to come here is during the holiday seasons when they stock the shelves with lots of fun Fall and Winter products. When it is not the holidays, the products that I buy most here are extra virgin olive oil, coffee, pasta, and any other snacks that I can't find in regular grocery stores. Even though World Market has changed a lot over the years, I've always enjoyed the International theme here mostly because of my time being overseas. The crazy cat lady strikes again!! I was sent on yet another mission to find more cat items, smh. The mission was completed in no time, as I spotted exactly what I needed right as I walked in. The selection is wonderful here, and so is the service. I didn't catch the lady's name who completed my transaction, but she was really nice. We had a few laughs as she rung me up. I love World Market and so if I ever run across one I've never been like today I make it a point to check it out. This location was pretty easy to get to, but man the traffic can get nuts because it is in the Tempe Marketplace . The store was great size and was very organized and clean. I found quite a few items I hadn't seen at the locations near my home so that was awesome. Service was ok. No other employees acknowledged us or asked if we may need help besides the greeting we got from the single cashier running the entire front. read more

I love coming to the store. There is so much to look at and every time that I'm here, it makes me want to redecorate my whole house. There is everything from artwork for your wall to furniture and rugs, dishes, clothing, and a great selection of gifts. There is a green velvet sectional for sale that I'm obsessed with. Our favorite part of the store is the food and wine section. There are different kinds of candy, cookies, sauces, pasta, you name it from other parts of the world. We always leave with a stash of cookies and candy and a jar of pasta sauce. The selection of foreign wine is so fun to look at because of all the beautiful bottles. Even when we don't buy something here, we have such a good time just browsing. It is hard to leave, though, without getting at least one thing. read more

The package contained a constellation of comfort treats! Karen really is the best in the Milky Way! When I opened the box, I found worldly delights from one of my favorite brands, Hawaiian Host, and Bavarian-style Spätzle from one of my favorite places on Earth. Jumpin Jupiter!! Some intergalactic Kit Kats may have also landed in the box, sans primordial goo. I definitely won't need an asteroid belt to hold up my jeans after eating these sweets! This care package also included some pampering in the way of a marvelous Meowza Gel eye mask (the cat's pawjamas!) and "Are you sheeting me" face masks. "Shazbot!" This is a great place for holiday gift shopping for the family. They always have some fun and unique finds, and the prices are usually pretty good. They even have some spiffy kitchen tables which aren't too badly priced. The only downside is that they are usually pretty busy which wouldn't be so bad except their aisles are narrow so it's sort of like playing bumper cars in there with the other shoppers. Just avoid going on the weekend though and it's not too bad. read more

This is still one of my favorite retail stores, the word emporium keeps coming to mind. Over the years it has become a bit more commercial and contrived but there is still something new around every corner. My favorite part is the international food section where it's easy to be inspired and also find some of those rare items you only see here. There is also a terrific wine area with wine casually displayed in boxes on the floor, nothing pretentious here and the bargain prices are nice. This review us about the Amazing service I received from Nalani, Nick, and Kevin. I purchased a papasan chair only to realize it was not going to fit in my tiny car. The 3 amigos tried every way possible to assist and make it work- all the while working in the dark outside while it was beginning to rain! Manager Nick offered several delivery options while still trying to help me shove a bowling ball through the eye of a needle. Eventually I was able to get the chair home thanks to the kindness of a good Samaritan. But even during this process, my new World Market family didn't leave. I may just be one of the biggest fans of Cost Plus that there ever was. My house is filled with their furniture, kitchen supplies, jewelry, and more. And every time I need a unique gift, this is where I come! Today I popped in to this store to put together a local wine basket for a silent auction and of course, they had ALL OF THE THINGS that I needed! In fact, the basket that I was using was pretty large and they even had a JUMBO basket bag that it fit inside!! I was so happy because that was one less errand that I had to do today. I filled the basket with 3 bottles of local wine, gorgeous wine glasses, an aerator, a preserver, wine pen, wine charms, cute napkins, nuts, and more. I hope that the charity makes some great money on it! Any little bit helps, right? The best part, they let me put the basket together right then and there and even helped me arrange it! Given the variety of chairs, the hammock and love seat placed by the door even before you enter the doors, this place seems to be saying, "Come on in. Stay awhile". And that's about what happens. This store has just about everything - furniture, wine, coffee, chocolate and other foods, window coverings, pots and pans etc. It's a little mecca of goodies right here in the desert. And the staff are very helpful and very personable. I had a few things in my hand and one of the guys gave me a basket and asked if he could help me choose between the two items I was pondering. They do a nice job setting up their home-décor items. Things are grouped together so it is easy to focus on one thing at a time. I always roam the whole store before I buy anything and the staff have always been helpful. If you haven't been here yet - try it, you'll like it. read more

I'm so glad there's a World Market in my life again because this place is awesome! They sell such a huge array of things, and though the prices might be more than ideal, check out the sale stuff because those prices are usually more right than wrong. Be sure to also stop by the liquor section if you like drinking because they have a fantastic collection of beer/wine/champagne from all over the world for a really reasonable price. They usually also have beers from around the world (which is a huge hit with my dad) for a really good price as well. They are seasonally-sold, so in the summer, you might find micro-brews, while in the fall/winter, you might find more holiday-esque beers with a pumpkin taste or hint of cinnamon. If you love stores like Anthropologie but want something a little more budget-friendly (and sells booze), this is your place. Go explore! It's SO worth it! Absolute trash customer service. Just tried to return a rug and get credit back on the DEBIT CARD that I purchased it on (had a small gift card of $30 that also was applied on the purchase). Tammy asked me to insert the gift card into the chip reader. Obviously I don't have the gift card and the majority of the purchase was charged to my debit card. When I informed her that I would like the credit on my debit card, she snarkily says "you should've told me that before i started" and proceeds to load ANOTHER GIFT CARD for credit on the return without answering any of my questions or even trying to put it on my debit card. I don't want another gift card. I don't want another rug. The terms of the return state I am able to get debit card credit. Overall, I was treated like crap. Avoid this location. read more

I couldn't believe I wasted 30 mins of my time arguing with this guy. I could care less about a few dollars but it's the principle. How do I love Cost Plus, let me count the ways! I never used to shop much at Cost Plus, just the occasional rando item. But a whole ago I saw an amazing kitchen table which had four seats bolted underneath the table on a swivel. This engineering masterpiece was made with quality wood and steel and was the perfect combo of industrial and warm. I was told you can go online and place a "watch" on an item to see when the price comes down. Sure enough, a month later it went on sale for $200 off. I was in! I purchased it online and got an email a few days later to come to the store to pick it up. It couldn't have been easier- I just pulled up in front of the store and the awesome employees loaded it up for me. I tried to tip them but even after three attempts they refused. Long story long, this place is awesome. Great deals on unique items. Sign up for their rewards program and you get some great coupons via email. read more

I have not been in a World Mart for several years. I visited this store and being during Christmas time it was very busy . I saw a customer who had a coupon for the free ornament and I asked her where she got it. After signing up for the Preferred Customer I went about my shopping. I got to the register and I couldn't access the coupon. I have a vision impairment and was very frustrated . I told the cashier (Ricardo) and his help made it possible to get the discounts through the app. I cant not say enough about how kind and patient Ricardo was to me. 3.5 stars for a 5-star (almost) worthy place. I have to take 1.5 stars off for location. Not that I blame them for jumping on the Retailopolis bandwagon. After all, after I'm done buying new tank tops at Old Navy, snatching make-it-yourself-floral fun from Michael's and convincing myself I can't live without this it's-too-random-to-be-true moose-head candelabra from Ross, I definitely have a hankering for wine. So, where to go... Oh yeah, World Market. While I'm there, let me pick up a selection of beers from around the world (I hear Holland has some good brew), browse the allegedly specialized food items and take a quick peak at their assortment of candles, smell-good bath things and kitchenware. But, let's face it, I go for the wine. World Market suggests they sell things from around the world. While this is probably true (to a point), I both love and hate their wine selection (and I just plain hate how everything else takes up space that could be used for more wine). I love how their wines are divided by country and that you can find a really great wine for under $15 here. (Like Sexto from Spain) I just wish they had more! Yes, more wine! I said it. I want walls and walls of wine! A wall for Italy, a wall for Spain, a wall for Napa (it might as well be its own wine country)... But, if my teeny tiny wish came true, they'd have to change their name from World Market to Wine Market (or Wine Heaven). Now, what would be so wrong with that? read more
