Located in the Culdesac in Tempe, my daughters and I stumbled upon this gem when we were walking around there. As soon as I saw the sign out front that said, "Curated Japanese Housewares" I had to go in because I love Japan and all the cute accessories and culture. When we walked it, we were greeted right away and I thought oh no just take my money now. Lols Especially with my 6 and 8 year olds with me and when they saw the wall of adorable keychains. They have a lot of cute things from stationary, matcha bowls, pens/markers, stickers, bags, drinks, to sushi accessories. It felt like one of the cozy lil stores I visited when I went to Japan. It's a small store but full of quality products that it's impossible not to find at least one thing you like even if you don't buy it. Great place if you are looking for a special gift or you forgot to bring a souvenir back from Japan for someone. Lols We bought a couple keychains, a few stickers, and Japanese Posca markers. As far as price, it is not cheap like Daiso but not outrageous. Everything in there is imported from Japan or made by local artists so I feel the price is right. It's a unique store that is worth checking out if you are in the area :) They also have a website you can check out and order through too.

My bf brought me here for my birthday, and the people here were super friendly and nice! Haley showed us their pen selection and notebooks, and Mikey checked us out. He told us about some new stuff coming up and events they'll be apart of. I can't wait to come back.

This adorable shop is so much more than a stationary shop! We found all sorts of Japanese goodies, such as ceramics, matcha, utensils, and much more. In addition to our selections from the store, we also purchased tokens to leave on the wishing wall outside--such a cute idea! I found the prices to be fair for the area and the quality of the goods that you're purchasing. The clerks were also super friendly and made sure to tell us about their online store as well. We will definitely be back.

I found the cutest stationary store filled with trinkets and gifts imported from Japan. They also sell goods from some local artists. The store is super cozy and has a lot of unique items. I love pens and stationary, so it's nice to have a place where I can buy them in person. There is free parking as well! It's located in a cute neighborhood with the cutest vibes and there's a parking lot attached.

Really unique little store that has lots of unique treasures and so glad I stopped in today!…read more After yoga class downstairs, I popped in to see what this place was about, and wow, this is a treasure trove of items from all over the world. Sweet! Clay, the owner, was super nice and we chatted the entire time I was looking around the store. He told me that this store has been here for 25 years and that he goes around the world looking for items and buys them up and then has them shipped back to here. Great! The reason the store is called Yucatecan Imports is when he first opened the store, he originally was bringing back hammocks from Yucatan, nice little history there! Each item in the store is marked with price and also where it comes from, so super cool! This is about as fair trade as it can be. Clay has hand painted scrolls from Thailand, Buddha calendars from Nepal, bookmarks from Turkey, earrings from Peru and Mexico, and my favorite, he has a chirango from Ecuador (however, the chirango was made in Bolivia)! I wanted to stay in here all day and look at everything he has as it is super neat all the wares he carries. He doesn't operate an online business, so he's old school, and wants you to come into his store, great! I ended up buying a mini wooden carved elephant from Thailand, this is a gift for my mom as she loves elephants (and so do I) and will send it to her! I'll definitely be back here especially when I have to find unique gift items for friends and family! Great little shop hidden away, come check it out!
