And the store is a smorgasbord of new and vintage toys and local art. While there was a ton to look at, they do a great job spacing it out so you can see everything - and manage to make it look organized, something I imagine is no small feat with that kind of inventory. We picked up a few blind boxes and prints, and I also bought a larger vinyl toy for myself. Those unfamiliar with the world of vinyl toys may raise an eyebrow at the tags on some of the rare or unique items (like the original art pieces) but believe me, they're more than reasonable!! Can't wait to go again!!

I was trying to sell some old toys, and he was extremely rude and kept interrupting me instead of letting me finish my sentences. He said that they weren't vintage, which made no sense considering some of these toys are 30 years old. Regardless of whether he was interested in buying them or not, he could have communicated that respectfully. Instead, he was dismissive, interrupted me repeatedly, and did not conduct business in a professional manner. Very disappointing experience.

I came in one time seeking the Absolute Batman Annual weeks after it was already sold only to find out there was one issue left that they were selling for a higher price point. I believe the owner was the one who offered it to me as soon as I vocalized how badly I wanted it and he kindly gave me a discount! When I was an avid collector, I used to come weekly here because they have some of the best selection of comics in the Valley. And they're pretty personable too. We're talking mugwort and soy milk, prosciutto and truffle, and lemon Pretz, as well as five red multi-grain Pocky (red bean, dates, goji berry, longan, red rice) that makes double matcha sound basic. Other standout products include tons of Korean skincare and Biore UV (the actual Japanese formula!). Highly recommend taking a walk around when you're in the mood to try something new, then stopping at one of the millions of dessert shops in the plaza for a sweet treat.

I personally just enjoy walking up and down the aisles and checking out all the cool stuff. I discovered a lot of products that I never knew existed. TESO Life was founded in 2017 and describes itself as a Japanese "fashion casual life product department store". More locations are planned for Arizona including one at Mesa Riverview.
