So a few months ago we saw the sign for Five Below and were a bit baffled at what this place would actually be. Perhaps it would be an ice bar? Or maybe it was destined to be a winter clothing store? Turns out this is a $5 and under store! It's like the Americanized, $5 version of Daiso here. They have all sorts of knick knacks, snacks, kid's stuff, makeup, T-shirts, summer items (Flip flops, boogie boards, etc), various chargers, and the list goes on. Need a retro hotel keychain? Or some cute fuzzy stuffed animals? How about a USB car charger. Perhaps you just want an ironic T shirt and a sign that says "Nugs not Drugs." Done, and all for $5 or less!

Five below had hit the valley and I am beyond excited! It's similar to a dollar store but everything is 5 dollars or under. They have basic home goods and even an entire tshirt wall where every single shirt is 5 dollars. Located in the back south west corner by Michaels and World Market, Five below fills a vacancy that Tempe marketplace has had for a while. Lots of free parking nearby and a great place to go if your looking for some cheap phone chargers, toys and even home decor. Go check this place out for yourself to see why everyone raves about it. It's fun and you never know what treasure you will find. Also for grand opening weekend they are doing a giveaway for a 100 dollar gift card, 5 cent hot dogs and scratchers for the first 100.

    Cool stuff!

The new Phoenix location has excellent stock and organization with happy, motivated employees. I bought candy, decorative shelves, android and iphone accessories, stationary and a backback. If you've never been to a Five Below, you should go. Treat yourself to cool stuff at great prices.

Love this store, it has everything. Wish they had larger size for the "big kids". I can go in and come out with way more than expected.

We were asked if we had been to the warehouse before. Answering that we hadn't, it was explained that auction items are on the left, and items for sale are on the right. These are primarily items the university has replaced, or items students and staff have left behind. Rows of mismatched office desks to choose from. We settled on a smaller sized deck. It is older yet built to last. It is probably a good 20 years old, and possibly has another 20 years of life in it. The desk was only $10! For another $5, an all plastic chair with wheels was purchased to go with it. I was hoping to find a bookshelf as well. The bookshelves they had were either not in the style or condition I wanted. Along with office furniture, the ASU Surplus store side has computers, laptops, random office equipment and clothing. Surprisingly, they even had dozens of cleats that were new in the box. Unfortunately, they did not have cleats in the size/sport combinations that would work for any of my children. The auction side was a crazy mix of items. See photos. On the day of my visit, there was a mix of large machinery. Auctions are run through an online auction house. Checking out was easy. The guy who helped me was polite. He was very nice about assisting me in loading my purchase into my vehicle. Make sure to bring a credit or debit card. ASU Property Surplus does not accept cash. All sales are final. Items are as-is.

Prejudice doesn't concern itself with equity…read more In all honesty, this is a sad fact I've truly come to internalize in the 8 or so months I've spent in Arizona. The antics of the Dollar Tree staff, to me, are nothing new. The trick, as I've come to learn here in Arizona, is finding a location that is less racist than the others while preparing for the worst but hoping for the best. I came to this location a few months ago on a whim & quickly noticed that the atmosphere was different compared to the other Dollar Tree locations I had thus far visited in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Combine that with the fact that it is a dual-purpose location that shares space with Family Dollar, & I made the decision to become a repeat customer. Despite coming here on numerous occasions & not having any issues, the mood quickly soured on March 2, 2024. I decided to stop by around 4 p.m. to grab a drink en route to what would be my final destination of the evening and decided that this Dollar Tree would be the best option. A terrible miscalculation on my part. As has happened on quite a few complete separate visits to retail locations I've gone into while in Arizona, blatant racism & socioeconomic profiling dictated the proceedings. As I went to place my belongings down at the same place I've put them on no less than 7 or 8 separate visits, I was firmly rebuffed & told to place them directly in front of the cashier working in the front of the store. The sticking point for me wasn't the demand, which was directed towards me with their chest; it was the deviation from what I had up until that point came to accept as the norm for visiting this store. The manner in which the employee demanded that I put my stuff directly in front of them whilst I browsed the cheap wares was delivered in just such a way that it left no room for misinterpretation: "put your stuff here so you can't steal anything." Again, "prejudice doesn't concern itself with equity." At the end of the day, when all is said and done, you're always guilty, you're always a threat, & you're always looking to steal. More accurately, that's the lie they continue to tell themselves. If you're looking to visit this location during your MLB or NBA fan experience, I strongly suggest against it. Overall, this place is not the best place to go if you're of African descent. As you can see from my other reviews, I have not had the most pleasant experiences lately. However! At great personal risk to myself, I write these reviews based on my experiences so that others will benefit from the experiences that I have. I encourage others to SPEAK UP! Your voice can assist others in avoiding potentially detrimental situations, & as always, do your own research!

I purchased a Duracell rechargeable sync and charge cable fast charging which it was slow charging it didn't do its job. I think that Family Dollar needs to disclose that there are no returns on electric items or whatever items if they don't accept a return or exchange for something else. There's nothing on the back side of the receipt it's blank white. I will blast this I do have a Blog with over a million bloggers and I am going to blast this.

I ended up not purchasing anything and as walking out I heard cashier say she definitely stole something. I stopped went right back in, dumped purse out on counter and informed them a thief I will never be and how dare her to even say that. Picked my stuff up, walked out and swore I would never be back. After being in neighborhood a couple weeks, I kindof started seeing why they automatically assumed. Still very hesitant, I decided to go back because I love their coupons but to have no problems I only took my wallet in. Diffrent staff but was greeted as walking in, and absolutely no problems. After being in this neighborhood now almost a year I have gone back numerous times and the entire staff has been amazing. Sometimes I walk there in evening and bring big bag to carry everything in but walking in I show staff and explain what its for and never have had a problem again. Even though I completely understand now about the assumption, still doesn't make it right to accuse everyone of stealing. The ONLY complaint I have is isles are very small and at times messy making it hard to maneuver the cart.

If you haven't been here before, you could easily spend almost an entire day looking through all the hidden gems they have. Since I come here basically once every week, there are weeks where they aren't many new items I find, but then there are also weeks where I feel like I've hit the jackpot. I've gotten good quality protein bars for cheap, expensive greek yogurt for cheap, and amazing novelty things you'd only find at sprouts or Whole Foods (for half the price). Also, soda galore. Over the past year, they've had every soda you can think of for super cheap. This store is the only way I've been able to try certain energy drinks I've been eyeing in the regular stores. Every employee is friendly and they're always willing to help. Also super clean in there. All the products are nearly placed on shelves and it's always a treat to see. My only gripe is I wish they had self check-outs (or just more registers open at certain times) and more than just two locations. But otherwise, their prices are way better all around the board!

It's a veteran owned business, and if you are a veteran or first responder and come on a Thursday you'll get 10% off your bill. Seniors (65 & up) get a discount as well, and if you spend over $50 you can spin a wheel to get anywhere from $1-$25 off your next trip. This last time I got $1 off and a prize (a box of wacky Mac) but if you sign up for their email alerts you'll get a $5 coupon to use immediately. If they have steaks, get them immediately because they'll be gone in a heartbeat. They're usually frozen which is fine because I've found that they are more tender that way when you grill them. Don't forget to visit the bulk area in the back if you're stocking up! Overall this place is a hidden gem. The one on Southern is much larger than the one on Main St. but both have pretty much the same stuff. Happy hunting!

You will get all your Asian goodies and snacks here, hang out with a friend or by yourself! You can grab instant ramen and cook it in the store, while grabbing some iced tea/juice and hot foods like spam musubi, cheese balls, taiyaki, kimbap, etc. Their hot foods seem to be super popular though because the 2x I've visited, they didn't have many options to choose from and thought having fried chicken would be a great addition, but it looks like they do offer it but have missed it every time. What I find particularly great about this place is the fact that you can actually dress up your instant ramen. In their refrigerated section, you can grab green onion, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese and a boiled egg! You can also grab bonchon in this store so if you're looking for bonchon to pair with your KBBQ at home, this place offers it! This place also offers coffee but haven't ordered it yet! I'm excited to swing by again to try! Love stopping by here whenever I'm in town and highly recommend a visit to this place solely for the experience.
