I realized the fantastic shoe sale Macy's was having & decided to pick up a couple pair of shoes, sandals & boots. The sale was 40-50% off & they were fully stocked but also capable of ordering online & shipping the item, FREE to you. Actually the sale was on EVERYTHING. My husband was waiting at the register of the shoe department and he was the only person waiting. The single sales clerk in a red shirt was speaking with another sales clerk to give him some directions of some sort and as soon as they were done the phone at the register rang and the sales clerk in the red shirt told my husband to wait a moment and he proceeded to assist the caller instead of placing that caller on hold and assisting my husband who was already waiting. Frustrated with this interaction I grabbed the shoe and went find another sales clerk. This was not the proper way to service a customer already patiently waiting when a phone call is answered by an employee. read more

Fine Jewelry Department: My son bought Ankh Necklaces for the women in the family & my chain broke when I was putting it on. I wasn't able to make an exchange online so in-store I went, which is located in the Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall. Dede, the Sales Associate with her spunky & speedy service was refreshing. She wasn't focused on getting a sale & happily shared her overall knowledge on jewelry while providing her straightforward opinions. Dede genuinely wants to see customer satisfaction. To that end, once Dede figured out the solution to not being able to exchange in-store nor online, I was appreciative & satisfied. Add the pleasant customer service to the constant sales Macy's seems to roll out weekly, my visit was a win-win. I did end up purchasing the exact same necklace I already have as a gift for my GodSister so we are now twining with the bling. Make sure to ask for Dede, you'll enjoy spending time & money with her. read more

This Macy's is a two story operation and is pretty well stocked with brand names. They even have a separate shoe area where a Finish Line is located. I found a shirt on sale here for $10. My only issue was all the registers in the immediate area were closed. I had to circle around a few times to find a register to pay at. read more

Macy's as a brand has significantly gone down over the years and unfortunately this location is no different. Macy's used to be a store where you could count on consistency and cleanliness. Nope - not the current case. Macy's used to be a store where you could find quality items. You can find some quality items, but they also carry a lot of junk. And sadly they've got it all crammed in to spaces that are too small for how much they are trying to peddle. Macy's used to be a store where you would be assured to have a service representative interested in helping you with what you are needing or wanting. Nope. You might get lucky and find someone who cares, but most likely you will have someone willing to ring up your purchase and that's it. read more

My search for the men's suit continued but like other Macy's locations, here also didn't have my size available. However, very helpful staff. He went above and beyond looking for all possibilities in any location of the valley for my size. Overall, it is luck if you get your size and choice of suits here. Really nice Macy's. The steps are kinda small getting to the door. There is 2 floors. I love online shopping! You can return items in store. Also you can pick up items as well and order them online. Pretty good cause you don't have to walk the whole store for something. Also there's a couple of parking spots for pick up orders only. Love that Macy's has great sales. Just found a jacket that's like $300 for $38.99! Also dress pants that are $170 are now $28.99! Great deals! Brooches are on sale too. Usually $27, now $11. read more

If I could give Macy's negative ten stars I would. I purchased a mirror to attach to my dresser which I intended to attach after renovations were completed. When they were completed 40 days after my mirror purchase I opened up the box that the mirror came in and discovered that it was the wrong color. So, I called Macy's customer service and told them I needed to return it. Their response? Sorry, but you can only return furniture within 30 days after delivery and we don't make exceptions. So, I'm out the $300 I spent on the mirror including the $75 I had to spend on shipping!! Nice customer service from the department store featured in Miracle on 34th Street. 11/23/19 "There's only one thing a man can do when he's suffering from a spiritual and existential funk...buy new suits." - Ron Burgundy Well, I'm not going through a spiritual, existential funk, but here is a fact of mine: I do *not* like shopping, and I will often go at great pains to avoid it. I'd sooner sit at my computer and purchase goods on Amazon. However, even I must admit that regardless the availability online, the purchase of a suit is better done in person. So, at 4 P.M. on a Saturday afternoon, we traveled to Scottsdale Fashion Square to complete this task. After parking at the Green Garage and using the interactive directory to locate Macy's, we arrived at the formalwear section, and I began trying on a bunch of suits. It was clear to me at this point that I'm out of practice. I had no idea what my size was, or what type of fit I should acquire. Thankfully, there was Zane. Zane was one of two fashion-forward gentlemen manning the corner of suits, slacks, shoes, and underwear. Despite the crowds of people inching forward to ask for assistance, Zane gave me his undivided attention and offered his insights about my suit size. We ultimately went with a 42R, slim-fit suit by Calvin Klein, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the results. With the suit and matching pants obtained, I now had to find an appropriate belt and shoes. Onto that corner. After contemplating a couple styles, Zane appeared again! After verifying my size, he ventured to the back and brought a couple boxes of shoes for me to try. One of the pairs was just right, so onto the pile it went. I easily found a matching belt as well. The ensemble was complete. Side note, but with the girlfriend as my trusty shopping assistant, she suggested (or rather, demanded) I buy a pair of pink dress socks with little bananas on them. Oh hell, they were on clearance too, so I got 'em. For what it's worth though, they do match my pink tie.... We went to the cash register to finalize the purchase, and behold -- there Zane was to ring up my items! Seriously, this guy was everywhere, doing everything and helping everyone. He was courteous, never appeared in haste, made friendly conversation, and did not leave anyone's side until they were fully accommodated. He wonderfully folded and bagged my apparel, and off to the food court we went (shopping depletes my soul). Why do I dislike shopping so much? Several reasons, but ultimately it comes down to the time it takes to find the right stuff. Today, however, was different. Zane trimmed through the guesswork and helped me finalize a purchase I was absolutely pleased with. Now I've got a blue suit to add to my black and gray collection. Thank you kindly, Zane, for your exceptional service. I can't speak for the other departments of this Macy's, but for menswear, I do recommend them highly. 'Til again! read more

Although I have been to this Macy's many times, I keep forgetting to check in or to review it. Now is my opportunity to remedy the situation. Compared to other department stores, Macy's stands out from its competitors by making sure that it displays its merchandise so that it looks inviting. This store manages to do that quite effectively. This may not be the largest Macy's in town but it does have enough space to allow it to stock a wide range of merchandise. If Macy's carries it, and you are looking for a particular designer or manufacturer you will probably find it here. The cosmetics area rivals Nordstrom as it is very spacious with lots of artists willing to give you a quick makeover. If you have spent too much time wandering through the store, you can stop at Starbucks for a refreshing beverage. It is situated by the men's shoe department. if you need some quiet time, the third floor, that houses housewares and children, is usually fairly empty and the clerks often outnumber the shoppers. You can peruse the fine china without fear of running into the proverbial bull. read more

Today, we went to Macy's to find my future Mother In Laws dress up on the 2nd floor. This associate named Avery, who was attending the dressing room, was rude & unprofessional. When I was assisting my future MIL he stopped me and said I need to stop bringing in dresses for her to try on..... this was my first time out on the floor, and I got two more dresses for her to try on after putting away the previous dresses we got. The way he said in front of everyone while people were waiting was uncalled for. There were multiple people that were there before us who did not get reprimanded, but ONLY me. He stood there like a bouncer at a nightclub & most of the time not doing anything and If he did check out the rooms he would go into the rooms that he could clearly see a purse was left inside and make the girls uncomfortable while waiting for him to get out! We went to Dillard's instead and found more dresses and options! read more

I went here a couple months ago with a burden of a return of kids' clothes and my cashier was so helpful! She painstakingly went through each purchase of the day I guessed I bought them and was able to get my return handled. I've been a few times since and the staff are all really nice. read more

This is for the furniture department ( mattresses). We came by to double check the kind of mattress we purchased at Superstition Mall location (awful experience). Michelle from Fashion Square Mall was extremely knowledgeable, stated the difference in firmness, number of springs and difference between all the different models. Every time I need to do a return or just go in to shop, I look for JENNIFER in Beauty and Makeup because she is just simply the BEST:):) Her energy and great attitude is always contagious and she greets you like an old friend. I feel this location is a little overpriced. I do understand that they do try to provide top quality items which is definitely something I appreciate. I do not want to walk into a Macy's location and feel like I am buying cheap items like I am at Walmart or something like that. But they could try their best to keep things at least a little bit affordable even if someone is willing to pay a little bit more than the typical department store they do have a really good selection of shoes and clothing. I like to come here and buy Polo underwear. It is definitely something that I always enjoy doing and I will continue to do so. I just wish the price point was a little bit more affordable read more

I was fortunate enough to be be assisted by Andy H, who was able to recommend a few high quality mattresses that completely fit our needs well within my price range. I used my Christmas bonus to buy my wife a ring at Macys. It was pretty and she loved it. However not soon after the purchase two of the small diamonds fell off. I went in to get it repaired and was told that I had to purchase the protection plan in order to get it fixed. I was also told that it would take up to 2 weeks as it had to be shipped to California. Well that was 6 weeks ago and I still dont have my ring back. Turns out they had to ship it to New York to get it fixed and it could take 'up to six weeks' to get it back. Well its past that time now and Im really unhappy. I feel like I got played. If I could do it over again, I would never have gone there in the first place. Its impossible to get anyone on the phone and I have no idea why anything should take more than 6 weeks to fix. The staff is nice but that doesnt make up for the joke thats been played on me. read more

NATASHA at customer returns I listened to how she treated 4 customers ahead of me and she is so incredibly unkind and short with people , why oh why are these people hired ?? Each customer I could tell didn't appreciate either how she was treating them , Natasha doesn't speak clear either , very hard to understand what she is saying but that's no reason to treat the customers how she was !!!! I am disappointed that it took two separate trips to Macy's to buy one bra ($71) because the employee forgot to remove the tag. After arriving home, I discovered this and the fact that there is no way to do it at home without damaging the merchandise. So had to take an hour to drive back, park, go into Macy's, wait in line and ask for the tag to be removed. I hate when my time is wasted and no one at the store even apologized or cared about this. The employee who removed the tag said, "This is not my job." Future bra purchases will be done from Amazon. read more

On 3/5 we went to Fashion Square store and ordered 2 chairs to be delivered on 3/21. The sales person said we were in luck because we got the last 2 chairs as they were being closed out. We paid for the chairs and left the store. 2 days before the chairs were to be delivered, I received an email which stated they had tried to contact me (which they had not) and that there was a problem with the order. I immediately called the sales person who confirmed that the chairs were no longer available. She had no answer for me. I contacted their department that handles furniture issues and explained what had occurred and they basically repeated the same story that I had received from sales person. I was promised a $100 certificate from Macy"s for my "inconvenience"--yet to receive. Be aware that if they say something is available for sale AND they sell it to you, you may be left with nothing. read more

We love to go to this Biltmore Arizona Location. Mary Jo, GM, has been around a long time and does a phenomenal job running a Macys Store. We had the pleasure of meeting her at the Paradise Valley location. many years ago. You can always tell when Mary Jo is running a location due to her perfection and attention to detail. We are loyal Macys shoppers for the past 41 years and we do almost all of our holiday shopping with the Macys brand. Their fine jewelry department is phenomenal. We had the great pleasure of meeting Christopher on our last visit and he is wonderful. He happens to be the manager of the fine jewelry department and he takes customer service to a whole new level. He should write the book on how to take care of a customer. He is kind, caring and very knowledgeable. Thanks to Christopher, we found some beautiful pieces for our holiday gifts! This is a huge Macy's! I'm talking 3 levels. This Macy's has a large selection of High End merchandise such as Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Coach (you get the idea). There is also a large section dedicated to workout clothing. In most stores you only see a small section but not here. The shoe area was not messy at all. Things were kept tidy. There is a MAC section if you are not wanting to visit the actual store at this mall. There is also a Benefit BrowBar which is new. I didn't see anyone working it so that was not making a good impression for potential customers. You can still find affordable items if needed. I know this is Scottsdale and it wants to meet the needs of the demographics but do not be afraid to shop here. read more

This Macy's store is such a disappointment in many ways. It is grossly understaffed, you can walk around any department and will have a hard time finding anyone to help. The departments are not neat, merchandise looks messy and the quality of their merchandise is so cheap looking. I went into the department on third floor looking for pillows and sheets and it was so sad to see how messy it was, and lack of any merchandising to make their goods look appealing. Again, no employee was to be found. I was in the field of fashion merchandising many years ago, and it is really hard for me to understand how a store such as Macy's can allow one of their stores, especially in such a wealthy area of Phoenix/Biltmore be in such a poor state. read more

Spend $25 got $5 back seems to be a good deal for me. I bought 2 bags for my mom and auntie and got a reward card. Use that card to purchase 2 shorts for myself, got some cashback again. I end up with $21 credit in my reward card. The guy who checked me out was nice, unlike his coworker/supervisor whoever she is. We were here about a week ago casually looking@furniture, we've been looking for about 6+months (casually) because we are looking for specific style/quality. We've got just about every furniture store around the valley. Furniture is upstairs... We went up & BOOM! Found a sectional that is perfect, so stoked. We're talked with sales rep. He is very good with spacial organization/visualization,I expressed what we have (odd room) &what we're trying to achieve. So we went home to confirm dimensions & what options would fit best, we called to make an appointment to deal with him only.... Unfortunately we could not meet the day planned, so we returned this weekend. 5 salespeople (not our guy) working, no acknowledgment that we're here, sitting in the couch we want to buy! After 5 minutes my wife walked over to a woman "do you work here?" We mentioned we wanted to see the sectional in the VR program they offer, she was not having it "oh that's really new & ....... well let me get my glasses to see if I can help you". We asked about a "defect"in the armrest (concave area with no padding or support) or concern is that we would place our elbow here while getting out of the couch & it would tear. She stated, yeah that's just how it is & it wouldn't be covered under warranty if it tore. WHAT!? I asked could you talk to someone & verify it's not just a one off or that they would stand behind the design? "Oh well nobody ever mentioned it or had a problem" WTH? There are multiple reviews taking about the problem. Service is poor & product knowledge is worse. read more

The store was pretty clean and somewhat orderly feeling and Martha in the mens department was soo nice and helpful! BUT the music was sooo LOUD!! It made shopping very stressful!
