I love me some TJ Maxx! Looking for cute home decor? They got it. Taking a trip and you need new luggage and an outfit? They got it! Are some of your kitchen utensils looking a lil too shabby but you don't want to spend a ton of money at BB&B? Check them out because they got it and at a great price! One of my fave things to shop for here is candles. They have all kinds made out of soy or wax with amazing scents. Some of these candles would go for 20 or 30 dollars at high end stores but I don't think I've ever paid more than $10. I get all my cute workout clothes from here too. I like to think of TJ as the Target of the discount retail stores. You can't really just go in and buy ONE thing. read more

Until about 10 years ago I had never even heard of TJ Maxx. Then my best friend made the introduction. Of course I was hooked! What's not to love? Cool clothes, shoes, and accessories for cheap. Yay! Nearly every time I've been I've found something that I couldn't live without. On those shopping excursions I learned some valuable shopping/fashion lessons including: always hit the clearance racks first and just because you're a big girl doesn't mean you have to look frumpy. My only wish is that they carried slim boys jeans but considering the concept, it is understandable why the wouldn't. So thank you DCM for the intro and the great lessons. I have always been a HUGE fan of TJ Maxx (and sister stores), but the experience I had at this location today was beyond deplorable! 1. (With Receipt) Returning Underwear and Bras - Purchased at another location and told that I could try them on at the store or at home with returns not being a problem; I opted to try on at home as I had been sweaty. Tried one bras on and did not like the fit and ended up not trying any underwear on. As such, went to return today and was LECTURED by the cashier that "you cannot return underwear and bras and that I need to understand that policies change every day". I explained that I was assured at the other location that returns were not an issue since I did not want to try them on at the store. She proceeded to question the fact that I, as she put it, "supposedly was allowed to try on underwear at he store". I said if it is an issue I will just go back to the store where I got them. She RELUCTANTLY proceeded to process the return but continued to very rudely comment regarding this. One Bras had 2 hairs (most likely a pet hair that got into my bag I brought them back in). She very disgustedly (and loudly) pointed out the 2 hairs and said "are these dog hairs or something"? 2. (with receipt) Returning Bathroom Mats and Shower Caddy - We moved to Texas at the end of April and in haste, I purchased these items thinking they were what I wanted. Now, mid-June, I am finally getting around to returning them. While I have the receipt, I fully expected that I would most likely just have to get store credit. Never an issue for me as I am a frequent shopper at TJ Maxx. The cashier however proceeded in a very rude manner stating that "you bought these in April.. it is now June". I stated I know and had no issue with store credit. With both of the items above, she repeatedly asked me to show her what was on what receipt. There were only 2 receipts, and they were CLEARLY marked ("lingerie" on the one; "Bath Shop" on the other). I do mean REPEATEDLY made me point out which receipt they were on. I have NEVER been treated this way before and I sure as heck will NEVER be treated this way again!! Shame on this cashier for her disgustingly rude behavior and shame on the store for allowing this. I am assuming this is allowed as it was apparent that the people she was checking out in front of me were getting a very similar treatment. Had I not already invested 20 minutes waiting in line I would have just grabbed my stuff and walked out. read more

Hm. I really wanted to like this store, but it's really underwhelming. Sometimes feels like TJ Minimum. Before I jump to the blah parts, I do have to say that the reason this place is getting three stars is MY experience with the employees. They are always super friendly to me, from the dressing room, to the jewelry stand, and to the check-out. Onto the review of the merchandise: blah, blah, blah. Nothing ever jumps out here to me. In their defense, this place is kinda small, but still always seems kind of empty, particularly the home and women's dresses. Not too thrilled with the shoes either, but I wear a 9.5, and nobody carries that strange size. First world problems, I suppose. :o/ Anyway, I am not telling you to skip this place, but I am warning you to not expect an awesome shopping experience. Two employees sick at the hospital with corona virus on 1/14/21 and the store is still open for business?????

Well, this is among the best of the TJ Maxx's I've been to. Pretty much what to expect, if you've been to one, but with better variety and below normal prices, in my opinion. I felt this place's prices were on par with Ross, while being better quality items. I was especially impressed with their prices/selection on kitchen wares, while disappointed by the pricing on shoes/purses, and the selection of shower curtains. First, I want to say how much I love the product selection at this tj's location. I'm rating them a 2 star because every single time I have been in here, which I usually come in weekly, I feel l they treat customers like criminals. Anytime I return something, I get treated like I'm committing fraud. Today the cashier called a manager up and I heard her say to her (as I'm 10 feet from her), we don't carry this here... ALL tags still on, how would you not carry that? The tjmaxx tag and everything, never even taken out of the bag I bought it in.... and this isn't the first time I've had a bad experience returning items unused, with tags still on... The previous time I was here, gal at fitting room opened my big purse to see if I had anything in there going into the fitting room as she was counting the items. Since when is it okay to look through people's belongings? The last few experiences at this location really make me never want to come back. So frustrating. These are simple fixes with better training. *id like to add that I was a store manager for several major retailers so I KNOW how to treat customers and I know this is just horrible store culture that could be fixed if upper management came in and held their people accountable. read more

There's a rude, uneducated woman working at the jewelry counter. She was helping another customer and when she finished with them I asked for her assistance with the watches in the display box. She told me, "I can only help one person at a time." Which confused me, because there was no one else at the counter but me, and I asked her for help after the two had left. Moving over to the watches, she took out the Tory Burch I wanted to look at. I asked her what was the mm of the face, and she told me that watches didn't have sizes. That was the second thing that shocked me: how can a woman working at the jewelry counter not know that watch faces have sizes? I didn't want the watch, so she put it away and helped the customer behind me. While I was leaving, I heard her make a rude remark about me to the other customer. What a silly woman. She must've been having a bad hair day! How can a woman working at a jewelry counter not know that watch faces have sizes? Educate yourself, please and thank you! read more

This store gets more disappointing each time I go in. The items on the sales floor, and I do mean floor, are still a great bargain but the emphasis seems to be placed on turn and burn rather than customer service. The merchandise is not displayed with any order or care and really is more on the floor than on the racks. When I went to the dressing room, the lady said that she had to touch each item that I took in. Why? You can't just count them. The check out area is more of a social station for the employees and not a check out station at all. When finally my turn, the girl was called away to do something else. Hey, I'm still here and that was the one checker that was working. The rest were having a little social time with long lines forming. I used to love this store. Maybe training or new management is in order. read more

I love love tj maxx! It's my one stop stop for everything! I love their prices! Bought a bunch of workout clothes and and two pairs of jeans for about $100 bucks! This store in particular has a good selection but they could have more which is why I didn't give it five stars. Their dress selections could be better in terms of options for smaller sizes so if you're shopping for a dress and you're a size 0,1,2 or even 3, you won't find much. read more

TJ Maxx has a section of normally pricey hard to find moisturizers that are much less than what you would pay normally. They also have a variety of hand milled soaps from France and England that make nice gifts. I only mention this since usually one thinks of clothes but check out the hair /moisturizing/bath soaps. There are some terrific buys. Also they have added an upscale clothing section a few years ago (I'm not sure if they are in all stores) but the one in Great Hills Trails has a designer clothing section.) I've also found Waterford glasses there! So you never know what you will find but don't rule it out when looking for presents and definitely for a variety of styles from sports to work to evening wear at great prices. It can get crowded but the lines usually move along since the check out is very organized. In some better department stores you have to look all over the place to check out. Not to put down Macy's but I had to buy all my women's clothing in the men's department since no one was at the women's are check out registers. So if in a rush and looking not to pay retail TJ Maxx is great. read more

Most people working at the store seem to care about social distancing and wearing a mouth covering covering face mask. However, Dorla Y., working as the cashier coordinator, only wore a face shield. That might protect her eyes but it does nothing to protect me from viruses in her breath. She also had a strange way of responding to me for walking up to a register with a light on because I had not been called yet. She had excuses for why the light was on but then never turned it off. Seemed to me she was supposed to be working that register and had to keep the light on but prefer not to take customers as she watched the other two cashiers work. I recommend management do a better job requiring compliance on wearing masks, cashier coordinators doing their job, and not blaming customers for a cashier stand with a light on that is supposedly not open???? I'm just a customer looking to shop and safely checkout. I would like to do that without unnecessary risk of contracting COVID-19. read more

For discount stores, TJ Maxx is probably my fave in town, although I live right next to a Marshall's, and that gives TJM a pretty good run for the money. But something about TJM keeps drawing me back -- yes, racks are packed pretty tightly. And okay, it's kinda messy right now with the holiday stuff everywhere. And, like other discount stores, it's totally hit or miss. But man, I loaded up an a beautiful table runner (though I did see it for $7 less at Ross, it's even cheaper counterpart, because the Ross version didn't have tassles) for our holiday party, a fun stocking, 4 Christmas gifts (family doesn't care how much you spend on things!), and almost a couple more sweaters for myself before I stopped myself... Ahh, TJ Maxx, so dangerous. read more

I hit the jackpot here over the tax free weekend. My favorite find was Shiseido products for half the price. Amazing.

This store makes me SERIOUSLY claustrophobic and makes me want to run out because of the sensory overload. Something about the fluorescent lights, billions of shoppers looking for a deal, and crazy splashes of color everywhere could do it. I once found the dress of my dreams here for 30 bucks, and since then come back every coupla weeks to see if I can ever find something so good again. I haven't even come close. Go to Ross instead, cheaper and calmer. read more

The prices inside this store are what you'd find inside a mall...etc store which is not 'new reselling items'. This might be a 'neat' store--but it's still arranged like a zoo about to explode. It took me forever to find what I wanted at a reasonably affordable price---supposedly their sticking point itself. While browsing, I noted that the store was selling damaged items full/almost full cost---instead of say, clearance. Not a cool business practice at all. Customers should know ahead of time if material is broken, and the item certainly should not be priced full-price at all. Fortunately, I don't have to shop here and will not be back. read more

I have been there 3 times so far. They have great selection of products, large inventory and excellent service. Today I purchased a few things from the store. When I paid for them, I didn't pay close attention to the price tag until I got the receipt when walking out. There was a wrong tag that had been attached to one of my items (size 3) so the total didn't add up correctly as I expected. So I went back to the aisle and got the same item but in size 5. The price tag showed the correct number as the one that I tried to put on in the fitting room. It didn't fit me well so I picked the size 3 instead, where I didn't know this one was attached with a wrong tag. I happened to ask the manager on duty Bonnie to make the price adjustment. She was very friendly and patient to help me resolve this issue. She opened up an empty register to avoid jam up other waiting customers. Then she refunded the amount that was wrongfully charged back to my card, wrote down the right price on a tag, attached it to my item, and re-entered the correct amount. After helping me, she thanked me to go to her for help and asked if I was satisfied with her service. If so, would I be willing to go online and do a survey to tell my experience today to the company. I told her I would absolutely Yelp for her excellent service too! :D read more

She was absolutely is a poor manager and definitely had the lack of customer service. I have been a customer for so long very long time at least 20 + years. read more

My most favorite dep. used to be jewelry, and that was because of the lady worked there, I believe her name is Carol or Caroline ??... The sweetest, most helpful, most patient employee of this store. I am a big fan of Home Goods, TJ Maxx, and Marshals. These retailers are all owned by Home Goods. I shop at these stores on a biweekly basis and none of these retailers offer a changing table. Really, get with the times and add a simple changing table in each of your retail stores. read more

Sunday I lost my spare set of keys. It had 2 car keys & one key fab. I still had keys to drive home as I brought the spare set by accident. When I went to putit away I noticed it was not in my purse. I tore apare my car & bedroom and they did not turn up. I decided to back track & call the 4 stores I went to on Sunday. The first place was TJ Maxx - they were having phone problems with a new line or system. I was on hold long periods & kept getting disconnected. After 10 minutes of this I decided to try the other 3 places. having no luck with the other 3 places I decided to try TJ Maxx again. Everbody was so very nice & apologetic. I dealt with 3 people who helped me get to someone who could check for me- had a couple more disconnect problems but I kept trying. Cora picked up & checked 2 places for me & I was so happy TJ Maxx had my keys!!. It would have been extremly expensive to replace the 2 keys & the fab. I rushed over to get them & again have to say the staff was very friendly & helpful! Thanks for hiring such great employees! read more
