I absolutely love it here. Came for a few stocking staffers & left with way more. Now my daughter has more gifts to rip open on Christmas day. Also found some stuff for the new puppy holiday stocking!!

I'll come another day. I did come here in a mission though, and that was for a new luggage bag. I didn't want hard case, and I didn't want expandable. I just recently flown to California and to Maine, and on both trips, I saw people having to rearrange their bags to zip up the expandable part of their luggage, and that the hard cases don't fit in their luggage sizing at the gate. So I want something thin that has some wiggle room to flatten out. I saw only 2 that I liked and fit the sizing I liked, but they were still $80. I think I'll keep looking. I still have time before my next vacation. Since I was there I wanted to walk around and look at their holiday decor. They do have some cute things for wall, and for Halloween. But for me. I'm done decorating for the seasons and holidays. But still like to look at them.

So before wasting my time, I asked an associate if I could return a carry on suitcase that had not worked (defective rollers) on the one trip this month it had been used on. She said yes. I waited in line 25 min only to have an unfriendly manager tell me I couldn't return it or even exchange it because it had been used and was scuffed from its one airline trip. I travel once a month. My last carry-on with roller lasted 13 years! No scuffs, btw. This one was junk, even if a Samsonite. This experience is exactly why I shop Amazon. Easy return system. I'll never shop at a TJ Maxx again. Certainly not the one in Great Hills! Terrible service. The manager wasn't even polite, just rude about it. Didn't even have a minute to talk about it in a civil manner.

As someone who goes thrifting every weekend, Next-to-New is one of my regular stops. It's a…read moreconsignment shop rather than a traditional thrift store, so the initial prices are set by the consignors, not the shop. What keeps me coming back, though, is the pricing system. Every tag shows when the item will be marked down next, so if something is a little too expensive for my bargain-hunting budget today, I can either look for older tags that have already been discounted or make a note to come back after the next markdown. It's such a smart system, and it makes shopping here a lot more fun. I also love that the store is staffed by volunteers and that the proceeds benefit local charities. It's nice knowing that my purchases are helping support good causes. For me, though, the biggest draw is the selection. They consistently have a great assortment of vintage glassware, including Early American Prescut (EAPC) and other beautiful older pieces. Since my goal when thrifting is to find things I couldn't otherwise afford, Next-to-New gives me a real chance to do exactly that. Their clothing section is another reason I keep coming back. They always seem to have quality pieces at fair prices, often from really good brands. I especially appreciate that everything is organized by size instead of just by type of clothing, so I'm only looking through items that might actually fit instead of wasting time digging through everything. If you enjoy the hunt and don't mind waiting for markdowns, this is one of the best places in Austin to shop for secondhand treasures.

I'm always on the hunt for commercial friendly clothing to add to my acting wardrobe closet without spending a ton of $$$ and I always have great luck here. The main section of the store, everything is $3!!!! Yes, you read that correctly: $3. Clothes, shoes, accessories/jewelry. $3. Everything is very organized & there are dressing rooms with amazing lighting. The workers are super friendly! They also have a big premium section with things ranging $15+, but items that are worth it! I found so many amazing unique pieces, including very flattering extra long vintage 90s jeans on the baggier side (I'm a tall girl) for $15 - I was SHOOK. I went there again yesterday and found amazing pieces! There is also a free section outside in the back (for those in need). Thank you for making a difference!!! This is what thrifting is about and way too many thrift stores in Austin have completely lost the plot. 1000/10, recommend Heartening!

The Premium Section: Located in the former warehouse, you can snag brand-name pieces for a tiny fraction of retail. They have an amazing selection of clothes, bathing suits, pajamas, shoes, accessories, and bags. They even have a free section outside for extra finds and fitting rooms on-site so you can make sure everything fits perfectly before you buy. Here are a few outfits I've found here: Customer service is great as well. A total win for the community!

Instead of yielding to customers or waiting for space to clear, employees were plowing straight through crowded aisles, repeatedly bumping into shoppers and then apologizing after the fact. The employees pushing the carts spoke Spanish but no English and appeared unable to clearly communicate with customers, which only made the situation more chaotic and unsafe. The aisles were extremely cluttered with merchandise and carts, to the point where there was barely room for customers to walk, let alone safely maneuver large carts. Stocking was happening aggressively during peak store hours, not before opening or after closing, and it made the store feel dangerous rather than just busy. I felt rushed, unsafe, and completely disregarded as a customer. After being hit twice and seeing no effort to improve the situation, I finally gave up and left without purchasing what I came for. Ross is supposed to be a place to browse and find deals--not a place where customers risk getting hurt due to poor staffing practices and lack of aisle management. This store seriously needs better training, safer stocking procedures, and basic awareness of customer safety.

This is what this place has always been about... not buy junk at retail, then have to put in extra labor and money to install/renew the item. as i was walking around i could literally hear other people gawking and talking about how bad the prices are. one couple played a guessing game with each other and were also astonished when they would reveal the price. this is how bad it has gotten. i will maybe give this place one more chance in a month but honestly, id suggest everybody try elsewhere if youre looking for someplace affordable. im so incredibly dissapointed as i used to really vouch for and love this place.
