For the record, this Zara was closed for 6 months for remodels. It is practically a different store now and is more in line with the Zaras of now. I have started to actually try to put together outfits and good ole fast fashion Zara has helped me get into it while not absolutely breaking the bank. This is the first time I've come to this Zara since the remodel and the space feels so much more open now. Almost too open where it feels like you have to wander so far to find anything. It's significantly cleaner and organized than in the past. I got a few things and when I checked out, they have that new autocheckout system where you drop it all in a box and it somehow knows what you got. I'm not the biggest fan of that system, but it's better than waiting in a disastrous line. Shoutout ZARAMAN for having some cool clothes for me. The first time you step through the doors of 85°C Bakery Cafe, your senses are immediately greeted by an overwhelming wave of warmth, sweet yeast, and the rich, roasty aroma of fresh sea salt coffee. It is not simply a bakery; it is a culinary sanctuary, a bustling haven of carbohydrate-induced joy, and a place that has captured my heart completely. My love for 85°C Bakery is rooted not just in the exceptional quality of its baked goods, but in the entire sensory and cultural experience it provides. What sets 85°C apart from any standard pastry shop is its theatrical, high-energy environment. There is a distinct thrill in grabbing a metal tray and a pair of tongs, stepping into the queue like an artist preparing to paint a canvas. The atmosphere is punctuated by the rhythmic, enthusiastic shouts of "Fresh bread!" from the kitchen staff as they wheel out piping-hot racks of new creations. This constant rotation ensures that you are never just buying stale pastries off a shelf; you are participating in a living, breathing cycle of baking excellence. The anticipation of waiting for a fresh batch of your favorite bun adds a layer of interactive excitement to the simple act of buying food. The true magic, however, lies in the perfect marriage of Eastern and Western baking traditions. 85°C masters the art of texture and subtle sweetness, offering an alternative to the often heavy, overly sugary pastries found in traditional Western bakeries. The breads are impossibly soft, pillowy, and delicate. Whether it is the savory, comforting pull of the Calamari Ink Bun with its surprising garlic cheese filling, or the signature Brioche, which melts in your mouth like sweet clouds, every item feels meticulously crafted. The balance of flavors is a testament to their culinary philosophy--allowing the natural taste of taro, matcha, red bean, and cheese to shine without drowning them in sugar. Of course, no praise of 85°C is complete without mentioning its namesake commitment to beverages, particularly the legendary Sea Salt Coffee. The brilliance of topping a richly brewed iced Americano with a thick, velvety layer of salted cream is a revelation. The contrast of the bitter, robust coffee cutting through the savory, sweet cream creates a perfect harmony that complements any pastry on your tray. It is this attention to detail--the belief that coffee brewed at exactly 85 degrees Celsius yields the perfect flavor profile--that elevates the cafe from a casual stop to an obsession. Ultimately, my love for 85°C Bakery Cafe is about how it makes me feel. It is the joy of sharing a box of assorted pastries with friends, the comfort of a warm taro bun on a stressful afternoon, and the reliable bliss of that first sip of salted cream. 85°C has turned baking into an accessible art form, making every visit feel like a small, delicious celebration of life's simple pleasures. Has lots of value for the money. read more

Very unorganized customer service. Even with correct credit card. Will go elsewhere in the future.

I shop from Zara for a long time and I went to this store for the first time( was worried after seeing the reviews). It was well organized and sale people were quite friendly. Love Zara! read more

This is probably the worst Zara I've ever been to. Any other Zara store never has insane lines to enter the store or the checkout. Plus other Zara's have a much nicer collection of merchandise for sale. Every time I come here, no matter if it's a weekday or the weekend, there's always a long line that makes you really not want to buy anything to stand in the long lines. The selection at this store is nowhere as nice as other Zara's. The fitting rooms are also always closed so you're even more reluctant to buy anything. Too bad this is the only Zara in Austin. read more

Zara - Long line on a "good" Saturday afternoon - Women's Clothing Near Me - Austin, Texas

Here from California. Had to step out to use restroom. Asked them if they could hold an item for je. He said No firmly and no customer service. read more

H O R R I D The fact that this is even being called a Zara is embarrassing to the brand as a whole. The layout and TJ max vibe with clothes crammed into every corner (including the ground) and SMELL (like actual dirty fart) is atrocious. Lines are always long and understaffed. Those who do work here are a mix of survivors and those who can't be bothered. I truly love Zara but can only tolerate online over this domain location which is deeply unfortunate. For the prices - the expectation is at LEAST to be the Zara standard. This is a glorified outlet at full prices with the added bonus of smelling like doo doo when you leave. Just ICK. read more

Not the friendliness staff. Long, slow lines. Consistently low inventory in kids section. Love the clothes. Easy to return clothes when needed. read more

Zara is a great brand but this location is always filthy, clothes everywhere and today the fitting room was closed.... Everyone has completed their shopping and wanted to try on clothes and then couldn't try them on. Clothes were just being tossed to the side because we couldn't try them on. Who wants to shop if they can't try on clothing? If you shop from here, you may as well shop online. read more

This is probably one of the worst Zara stores I have been to. The store is usually not packed or crowded up on walking in and there is still a line in the hot sun. The are always out of inventory and the store is very disorganized. There is usually only one register open which makes customers very impatient. read more

Here's a clear example of what I mean in my first post:I went in to return an online purchase. I had 7 customers in front of me in the returns lines. .....It took more than 45min....to get to the counter. read more

This place has a great section for men, every time i go i always end up purchasing something. Items are expensive but if you can't afford them just stick to h&m it's across the street. The girl upfront was super sweet and friendly. read more

I've been a regular at this store since it opened and it's sad to see how I will never shop here again. We all know customer service went downhill after the pandemic, but instead of bouncing back like most places, it manages to get worst daily. This weekend was my 3rd attempt at returning something and due to the 30+ people waiting in line just to get inside on a 100 degree texas day, that was another hard pass for me. The first time I tried I managed to get inside without a line to get in, only to witness the longest line I have ever seen inside here, 50 people at least waiting to checkout or do a return. It makes NO sense how they do not have a separate returns line. As always there are workers hanging at the mens checkout being useless. When I asked if I could return something this catty girl said no very nonchalant and when I asked why not she was super sarcastic stating "sorry I can't my manager is like right there"... also this manager looked young as hell which I understand is common at retail stores but come on corporate, have the multiple back to back 1 star reviews not sent the slightest hint that maybe it's time to hire an actual grown up who knows how to manage a circus store with actual customer service? I'm no hiring manager (actually, I am) but just a suggestion! I think their interview process is the following: 1. Do you have RBF? 2. Are you an aspiring influencer with no real education? 3. Walk me through a scenario where a customer was mad and they left even more mad than when they got there? Just stay far away. read more

This place has the worst customer service . wait! They have none. Rude x1000 If you can't be nice why work in retail? Work as a trash picker instead. I will never spend another dime at any Zara stores thanks to this one. I have never seen rudest cashier in my life, oh yeah when I mentioned it to a manager his reaction made me realize he isn't really smart either. Entire Store smells like someone's dirty nasty feet . GROSS YUCK i want to vomit just thinking about my visit there yesterday . I say boycott that Zara for good . Imma out read more

Want to know what you're missing at the Austin Zara? NOTHING!!! BECAUSE THE BAD REVIEWS ARE TRUE***** ***Most unsympathetic managerial staff. Unhappy & unfriendly people.*** I went in on a Tuesday evening and because they were understaffed and had no one to run the dressing rooms I purchased several outfits to try on at home. The next day I came back and could not find my receipt. Distressed, I asked what other solutions there might be for either store credit or exchanging the items. The manager stood there with her arms across her chest, completely uncaring that this was distressing to me, and basically told me there was nothing she could do. Then she gives me the Zara customer service number to call. When I ask what store, she says Austin. As if I don't know the city I live in. OK, I say, what about a store ID? We're the only Zara in Texas, she informs me in a snarky tone. This manager simply could not be bothered to give good customer service. Zara, WTF? Can you just not be bothered to train your managers to have a little bit of people skills? I'll never go back to this location. And BTW, when I called and spoke to Zara customer service, they were so nice and so helpful. Why the discrepancy? read more

Online ordering from Zara is VERY FRUSTRATING!!!! I ordered a size 6 in jeans and they sent me a size 4! I emailed the company and they told me they could not wave the return fee although it was THEIR FAULT! Not happy about his at all. I know it's only 5 bucks but seriously?!? If you send me the wrong product I expect a replacement. Especially since Zara is such a big company I'm sure they can afford it. Don't have a Zara near me so looks like I'll be paying an extra $5 + fees for nothing... read more

I try to be patient with all customer service bc I truly value their work but this store ticked me off. Some Staff is rude, place always has a long line with plenty of on floor staff to help. Low inventory and not clean. I hope I don't have to go here again but if I do for some damn lame excuse to want to be treated like an idiot, I'm getting a picture of the rude ass cashier who doesn't know how to ring up people without giving off I'm privileged and I can't be bothered vibes. If you don't like working retail, switch careers hun it will make you more manageable! read more

YIKESSSSSSS. Littttterally worst shopping experience. Honestly could get a better experience at Walmart. Only ONE register open, a second one open in the men's department that people are randomly pulled to from the big line? So unorganized and not efficient at all....just creates one unnecessary ginormous line. Plus, the inventory is super sparse and honestly no where near worth those lines. Staff is extremely rude. I'm not kidding when I say ALL of them. Who is managing this place?! Awful. Super disappointing, especially when this is the only Zara in Austin. You're better off shopping online read more

I do not understand why the dressing rooms are not open-covid restrictions are over? Also, why are their not more registers opened...? There's two employees talking at the door and I'd say 20 people in line? I guess Zara doesn't want to stay in business. read more

Wow these lines! The store has only been open for an hour but because they have a total of three registers, the line has (not kidding) 30 customers and wraps around the store. And no social distancing, so please don't say "the line looks long because people are six feet apart". Staff is totally grouching and because the layout is so bad, they're spending most of their time walking between two cash wraps. read more

Really expensive and well known place but horrible service and area. Clothes everywhere and saw a beige jacket with a black stain like it was stepped on. I don't know if it's cause of Black Friday sales but it was absolute chaos. Workers are always rude, but its like that at every single Zara I've gone to. The clothing is way to expensive to be on the floor thrown around, changing rooms were disgusting too. read more

Last Sunday, was the last day I will ever in life shop at Zara. You have Maria Rivera, general/commerical manager, who is very unprofessional. She speaks in Spanish to other employees and talks very poorly of you if you don't comprehend. The two cashiers, one with all black hair is racist and ghetto, along with the other one with blonde brown streaks. They both got super defensive and yelled at me for requesting for the manager. Then as I am checking out with rude Maria, she acts like she cant give me handshake when greeting her along with a contact number or email for her boss to let them know how degrading and unprofessional they are. She hands me a generic email. On top of the short fat male caucasian security rental cop guy rudely interrupts me to tell US to tell me to leave the premesis now without even asking whats going on and this is as Maria and I are checking out and Maria didnt say anything but "I see what hes doing and yes that is wrong" but ignores his behavior and says nothing to the security rental cop. Thankfully I have this all on tiktok! Take a look: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTF5oM7oq/ This was all over me asking them to honor a price that showed on the item I wanted to purchase that had a clearance tag over the original price. Zara you need to fix this asap! read more

Almost always the dressing rooms are shut down. Randomly closed without an explanation. Closed another day because no AC. Today no WiFi therefore no returns. It's a joke. Employees managers all just don't care. It's horrible read more

Should get no stars. The line takes an hour and they closed the fitting room at 7pm when it closes at 8pm. Do not go here it's ridiculous

They would not let me use the restroom (they have two of them). I could see both restrooms. I guess they are for employees only, they never made it clear. The employee directed me to use the restroom at another store. Don't waste your time shopping at Zara, just shop at the other store, where they treat you with respect and let you use the restroom. read more

The selection is mediocre and the lines are just so long. Here's a tip if you want to return but lost the receipt because they are quite strict with their policy - call their customer service line and they will email you your receipt! Customer service line was stellar. read more

I have this love/hate relationship with Zara. I have so many shoes and clothes from here but the customer service is not up to standard for a store of this type. I've found myself going to a department store or ordering off Zara's website just to avoid some of the service at this location. Occasionally you will find someone who is willing to assist and is kind but usually the staff can't be bothered. This isn't a norm for all Zara stores, just this location so don't let it deter you from shopping. I love a lot of the selection here and have had a lot of fun with the designs. read more

If the hours online say they open at 10, then they need to either open at 10am or CHANGE THE HOURS ONLINE. Seriously. It's inconvenient read more

Only giving a 2 star because the clothes are great but it's ALWAYS long AF!!! Plus never enuf people at the register. Horrible

Looks like a hurricane ran though this location! Clothes all over the place and the floor. Waited 30 min to get into the fitting room and 40 min to checkout. Both cashiers were doing more talking to each other than working. Don't understand why the men's side registers closed when there are 22 people waiting to checkout. Where is the manager? read more

I love shopping at Zara but this store makes me never want to go again. If it was my first time at Zara I would certainly not go back. This store is always a mess, they don't have nice clothes. One of the worst customer service/ cashier ever. I've read all the bad reviews beforehand and I actually experienced it all in one visit. Worst was the cashier. Where do they pick up such $!&@. RIDICULOUS customer service ! The idiots today there left € signs on a cute shirt I got. The teller of course , scanned the $50 and I told her it was marked at 29. "The manager" told me " that is Euros!! With her stupid attitude usually received in this store . Then I asked her if they were talking Euros as currency ( knowing she was just going to throw shade ), and she said it was left from the shipment . So I told her ( again , just to experience the BS, ok then the short is not $50, is $30 as per the euro value , and boom, "the manager" exploded " do you want the shirt or not ? Just took one and of course she placed a hold of 7 days on my credit card already processed. The place is a joke ! This is the worst Zara I've ever been too. Came here yesterday for a return. The line was wrapped around the whole damn store. The cashier who helped me was soooo slow! Taking her sweet time with every client lol I was like you have to be doing this on purpose? And in between each item she would literally pause and chat with her co worker next to her while holding my item as if there wasn't 60 people in line waiting behind me.
