For the record, this Zara was closed for 6 months for remodels. It is practically a different store now and is more in line with the Zaras of now. I have started to actually try to put together outfits and good ole fast fashion Zara has helped me get into it while not absolutely breaking the bank. This is the first time I've come to this Zara since the remodel and the space feels so much more open now. Almost too open where it feels like you have to wander so far to find anything. It's significantly cleaner and organized than in the past. I got a few things and when I checked out, they have that new autocheckout system where you drop it all in a box and it somehow knows what you got. I'm not the biggest fan of that system, but it's better than waiting in a disastrous line. Shoutout ZARAMAN for having some cool clothes for me. This is probably the worst Zara I've ever been to. Any other Zara store never has insane lines to enter the store or the checkout. Plus other Zara's have a much nicer collection of merchandise for sale. Every time I come here, no matter if it's a weekday or the weekend, there's always a long line that makes you really not want to buy anything to stand in the long lines. The selection at this store is nowhere as nice as other Zara's. The fitting rooms are also always closed so you're even more reluctant to buy anything. The layout and TJ max vibe with clothes crammed into every corner (including the ground) and SMELL (like actual dirty fart) is atrocious. Lines are always long and understaffed. Everyone has completed their shopping and wanted to try on clothes and then couldn't try them on. Clothes were just being tossed to the side because we couldn't try them on. I emailed the company and they told me they could not wave the return fee although it was THEIR FAULT! Not happy about his at all. I know it's only 5 bucks but seriously?!? I've been a regular at this store since it opened and it's sad to see how I will never shop here again. We all know customer service went downhill after the pandemic, but instead of bouncing back like most places, it manages to get worst daily. This weekend was my 3rd attempt at returning something and due to the 30+ people waiting in line just to get inside on a 100 degree texas day, that was another hard pass for me. The first time I tried I managed to get inside without a line to get in, only to witness the longest line I have ever seen inside here, 50 people at least waiting to checkout or do a return. It makes NO sense how they do not have a separate returns line. As always there are workers hanging at the mens checkout being useless. When I asked if I could return something this catty girl said no very nonchalant and when I asked why not she was super sarcastic stating "sorry I can't my manager is like right there"... also this manager looked young as hell which I understand is common at retail stores but come on corporate, have the multiple back to back 1 star reviews not sent the slightest hint that maybe it's time to hire an actual grown up who knows how to manage a circus store with actual customer service? I'm no hiring manager (actually, I am) but just a suggestion! I think their interview process is the following: 1. Do you have RBF? 2. Are you an aspiring influencer with no real education? 3. Last Sunday, was the last day I will ever in life shop at Zara. You have Maria Rivera, general/commerical manager, who is very unprofessional. She speaks in Spanish to other employees and talks very poorly of you if you don't comprehend. The two cashiers, one with all black hair is racist and ghetto, along with the other one with blonde brown streaks. They both got super defensive and yelled at me for requesting for the manager. Then as I am checking out with rude Maria, she acts like she cant give me handshake when greeting her along with a contact number or email for her boss to let them know how degrading and unprofessional they are. She hands me a generic email. On top of the short fat male caucasian security rental cop guy rudely interrupts me to tell US to tell me to leave the premesis now without even asking whats going on and this is as Maria and I are checking out and Maria didnt say anything but "I see what hes doing and yes that is wrong" but ignores his behavior and says nothing to the security rental cop. Wow these lines! The store has only been open for an hour but because they have a total of three registers, the line has (not kidding) 30 customers and wraps around the store. And no social distancing, so please don't say "the line looks long because people are six feet apart". They would not let me use the restroom (they have two of them). I could see both restrooms. I guess they are for employees only, they never made it clear. I have this love/hate relationship with Zara. I have so many shoes and clothes from here but the customer service is not up to standard for a store of this type. I've found myself going to a department store or ordering off Zara's website just to avoid some of the service at this location. Occasionally you will find someone who is willing to assist and is kind but usually the staff can't be bothered. This isn't a norm for all Zara stores, just this location so don't let it deter you from shopping. I love a lot of the selection here and have had a lot of fun with the designs. read more

This store at the Domain in Austin has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I came in this weekend on August 27th around 11am to pick up some items. No greeting from any of the employees. Then at the counter, no hello, no did you find everything ok, the person barely made eye contact with me or any attempt to make my transaction seem pleasant. I then had to go back in the next day to return the items I purchased. I came back on August 28th around 5:50p. Once again, no pleasantries. It's seemed like I was doing them a burden.
