The day after Christmas is notoriously known for fantastic sales and discounts. When we lived in Bellevue, WA so close to the Canadian border, we also experienced Boxing Day. This bank or public holiday, December 26, is celebrated the day after Christmas. It originated in the United Kingdom and we learned about it when we lived in Bellevue, WA. Historically, it was a day when wealthy families gave boxes of gifts, or money to those in need. Churches also collected donations and distributed them to the poor. I first popped into Dillard's to see if they had wildly awesome items to purchase...on sale. Dillard's had a wide variety of items to select from at reasonable prices....clothing, shoes, purses, nightwear, holiday items, etc. I did not find anything that tickled my fancy, so I moved on to plan B...store #2. Went to 2 different Dillards today. They pretty much had the same things. But I think The Domain store was a bit nicer. Just wanted to see what they had. Looking to spruce up my wardrobe. I donated a lot this summer and I'm starting fresh again. I tried on a few outfits, but didn't really love anything. Cashmere sweaters were not very soft. I love this Dillard's! I always go here when I need to buy a dress d/t the staff at the women's dress department. I forgot her name, but she helped me find a wedding guest dress that I needed within 5 days. She was able to pick options and give me her honest opinion. This Dillard's is clean and organized! Compared to the Macy's in the Domain, this was a much more enjoyable shopping experience. Dillard's is more expensive but worth the cost. read more

My wife and I went to our local Dillard's at the Domain. She was on a search for some shoes for an upcoming trip with our daughter. She was helped at the Dillard's women's shoe department by a very knowledgeable, patient and personable sales associate named Ruchii. She was awesome from the beginning, asking questions about the particular type of footwear my wife was looking for. Once given this information she provided my wife with many viable brands that met her needs. Always accommodating but never pushy Ruchii was able to provide the service my wife wanted. She came away with a couple of great pairs for her trip. If you are looking for shoes give Dillard's a try they have an amazing selection and ask for Ruchii her knowledge of the inventory will help your trip to be a great experience. read more

No wonder this tired department store is going out of business. I ordered something on 2/3/25 for store pick up and it is now 3/6/25. I figured that maybe it would be available in a week or so tops. I called the store and the staff were a nightmare to deal with, stating that they could not refund anything until it arrived in store. The whole problem is that it was not arriving in the store. It's already been a month and they said there was tracking set up already so it was FedExs fault. When I asked to speak to the manager, this employee flat out refused. She kept repeating nothing could be done until the package arrived at the store. Super helpful. Well, I looked up the tracking, and it says that FedEx never even received the item. They simply created a shipping label the day I made the order and then nothing further ever happened. Thank goodness this was not something that I could not live without or that had any level of urgency, but what a pain in the neck to have to sort this all out. To top it off and the time I've been waiting for it. It's now a fraction of the price I bought it at. I finally was able to get through to their online center to cancel but what a hassle. I will not shop here again, even though the prices are sometimes better, it is simply not worth the pain of working with the unpleasant staff and inefficient processes . read more

Associates are hit or miss for being helpful, but I was pleasantly surprised at the women's clothing selection. I didn't find a dress, but I did find a few tops. I took my 7 year old daughter to buy a dress for a wedding. She was super excited. I reluctantly went to Dillard's as opposed to Nordstrom for the bigger kids selection but was aware from many experiences that the service is awful. I gathered about 8 dresses for my daughter to try on and no one even acknowledged us in a completely empty store. The worker was behind the register looking down. When I finally got her attention she said the dressing rooms are all the way over there. She did not take the dresses or even show us where the room was. We tried her dresses on. No one checked in or asked if we needed anything. We just got stared down by employees. I was going to buy her shoes and jewelry but I will gladly spend my money elsewhere. We bought an expensive necklace from Dillard's for Christmas. When we tried to take it back, we were told by the bored and uninterested employee that we had to have the receipt despite the fact that we had the credit card we used to purchase it. We didn't have the receipt, so we couldn't return it. This is outrageous. Target and Walmart always take returns if you have the credit card used for the purchase. I'll continue to shop with Target and Walmart. Dillard's won't get any more of my money. Ever. Do not buy jewelry from them. They're jerks! read more

Worst Customer service, I have ever experienced in my life in the Hand bag department. I've been here on numerous occasions to get a Louis Vuitton handbag, and every time the sales girls are beyond rude. I put one on my arm and looked in the mirror and the sales girl came over and took the bag away from me and locked it up so I left. Second time I went over same routine, took it away from me and locked it up. Third time everything was locked up. I didn't see what I wanted so I picked out a bag and I wanted it with seashells on it. It was very pretty with a credit card holder, and the sales girl followed me around took the bag away from me, put it at the counter, and I continue browsing And the sales girl said do you still want the bag? Oh yeah I do she had taken the bag, put it back on the shelf and locked it up and put the credit card holder that I picked out to go with it back on the shelf as well extremely rude I told her to never mind. I don't need it that bad and since she locked it up, I am not going to buy it and I did not buy it.(instead I went to the Burberry store in the domain, bought an adorable $900 fanny pack which I love and I'm wearing right now plus the customer service was amazing at Burberry.) On my latest visit to Dillards...A young Lady was there waiting for some help and the sales girl was behind me and asked me if I needed anything (if they don't make eye contact me I do not respond because I don't know who they're talking to) and the girl that had been waiting looked over my shoulder and looked at me and I stepped aside and the girl said "I'm waiting for a bag that's in the back being held for me". (she hadn't paid for it yet, but they took her bag in the back and held it for her) then she took her bag and stomped over to the shoe department to pay for the bag and her shoes (i could see why.) The two sales lady's that were there had a quick discussion between the two of them and they said "that's not fair", then they stomped over to the shoe section. I assume they didn't think it was fair that the girl had her very expensive handbag rung up at the shoe department. LOL the sales lady in the bag department wanted the credits for that. The service I received at this location was horrible I witnessed an altercation between 2 associates at the Clinique counter. Purchased a $500 Travelpro bag less than a month ago. Took it on one trip IN A CAR and up arrival realized the front zipper had come off of the track; no way to get it back on. As I walked to escalator an employee was standing there and I asked for said brand. He replied, "if we have them, they are in the shoe department." I expect that answer at other retailers. So after failing miserably to find clothes for my boys at another big department store which shall remain nameless (Macy's!) we came here a couple of days later. We needed dress clothes for my boys.. ages 4 and 9. Not the easiest of tasks. But low and behold... we hit the mother load here!! Everything from full on suits, to separates, to designer stuff!! And in all kinds of sizes, colors, and styles. I mean it... if you are looking for dress clothes for boys this is like finding the Lost Ark!! We actually even had an employee come all the way down from kids shoes, on her own, to ask if we needed help! Someone offering help? In a department store? Are we in an episode of the Twilight Zone?? We found a plethora of things we wanted... what a great selection! I wish we had started here first! Dillard's just never disappoints! I certainly will not bother going anywhere else anymore... this is where I will start from now on. read more

Terrible. 30 day return policy is ridiculous and most other stores give you 90 days up to a YEAR. Just a reminder of why I never shop there anymore - this was the nail in the coffin and I know I'm not the only customer they have lost over this. Honestly, I'm really put out. I've recently lost 50 lbs. feeling really good about myself. Pinning from ECG classes is coming up and I thought I'd get a new outfit to rock my pinning ceremony. I'm in my 50's so these are both huge occasions for me. I went up to the 3rd floor and the clerk approached me. I stated I was looking for business casual, maybe a pant suit or something. She took me to the plus size section which let's face it, if you know you know. Being formerly only plus size it's not the section with flair or style. Whatever, I tried to dust it off. Told her I'd look her up if I need anything. On my way to Ming Wang, such cute things. I was looking at some really great things. Here comes Debbie downer. " this is very expensive for you, try innovation (sounded like she said basement but I think she meant innovation) and also pointing back to the plus sized women clothing. Ok, so I'm fat and poor? Super. Bottom line I spent $175 and lost a very good feeling about myself and I didn't even try on the Ming Wang. She wasn't having it. $195 per piece. So I lost a good feeling and Dillard's lost a huge sale and probably lost a customer. read more

Dillard's has been one of my favorite department stores since I can remember. I've been ordering online a lot lately, but today I had to go in person to exchange a dress for my daughter. She is attending a daddy daughter dance with her father and was looking for a pair of shoes to go with her dress. My daughter has Autism and sensory processing disorder so it can make shopping a bit challenging because she can't tolerate certain straps or materials. Initially she wanted to try on a strappy kids shoe with a heel, but the straps really bothered her. The saleswoman, Patricia, so friendly, kind, and accommodating! She helped my daughter pick out several pairs of shoes and she really tried to find options that would not bother her sensory issues, but that would also match her dress. She helped her find the perfect pair of shoes, and as we were leaving my daughter asked if it was ok to hug her. Patricia smiled very big and said, "of course", and gave my daughter a huge hug. When we left my daughter told me, "I REALLY like her! Can we come back again please?". Needless to say we will DEFINITELY be back to shop for shoes for her in person. Shopping is not always an easy experience when you have a kiddo on the spectrum, but Patricia made my daughter feel so cared for and accepted, and that means the world to me. She felt very motivated to help me and showed me all the different options until I found my match. At checkout she made sure to send me away with plenty of samples to make my experience even better. I will be going back and making sure I ask for her once I'm done with these bottles! Hi been shopping at Dillards cents the late 80s. Absolutely love the place. Love the selection love the styles love the departments almost feels like you are walking into different stores. Sales associates are usually very helpful. Sometimes it can be challenging to find someone to ring you up but don't be stuck in a single department you can take your stuff with you to multiple departments. I went during Christmas and spent a butt load of money. I was given, some so called gift cards that you can't use online and you only had 30 days to use. When you buy a gift card they never expire or at least last a year. Wells Fargo was sued for the same practice, before I was spending $500 a week or fragrances and clothes but after this, never will I buy and I do have a channel where I talk about business being deceitful and it's sad. The sales people didn't tell me that they were going to expire so I'm sure many more people will get duped, sad because I never expected this from Dillard's not the practice that I ever saw in my eyes. read more

I confess. I love shoes and am a little bit of a shoe ho'. Several events are coming up and I will need something other than flip flops. A girl has to look properly dressed. Dillard's at the Domain has devoted almost one fourth of the first floor to women's shoes. My heart fluttered wildly when I saw the array of sexy heels, bejeweled sandals, pretty pumps and fun flip flops! It was a sea of shoes!! Sherie helped me select a cute pair of dressy sandals and I noticed she was wearing 4 1/2" heels. The girl was running back and forth to get boxes of shoes for several customers. I asked how she did it. That is when I learned the comfy shoe secret: "killer kushionz" by Foot Petals. Okay. I knew about them but had no idea they were really effective. Sherie was almost jogging in those heels. My girl also told me about the wonders of the Sanuk flip flops made out of yoga mat material. I was not convinced so I put a pair on and walked around the shoe department for about 20 minutes. They are a thicker material than a yoga mat and extremely comfortable. I have had them for about a week and they are the sweetest, comfiest little pair of flip flops I own. read more

The store wasn't busy at all, in fact, it was very slow with about 3 customers besides myself. I had chose about 3 different "Sperry" shoes to try on and was standing waiting for an employee to assist me. A Caucasian woman walked from the back past me and walked up to a couple of Caucasian women and helped them. So, I stood there while several other employees walked past me as well like I was a mannequin and assisted other Caucasian customers who had just walked into the area or had walked to another area of the dept. I finally took a seat and continued to wait, I sat there for about 10 minutes, more or less as I watched these employees, walk past m, even look me in the eye or just turned their heads and went about their business and not a one ask me if I needed help. I couldn't believe what I was witnessing so I decided to start recording. The video above don't show the entire time I was there but it clearly shows enough. I will NEVER shop this location again, if I ever shop Dillards again at all. Don't assume just because a customer is black you won't get a sale for your 10%, 20% commission. As a retail employee, It's rude to walk past ANY CUSTOMER black, yellow, red or white and not acknowledge them. ALWAYS be courteous and ask if they need help!! read more
