I arrived to an unfriendly bunch who treated me like a nuisance rather than a customer. After I started unloading my wheels and tires a tech immediately came outside and barked at me to move closer to the building. I never asked for help. As I was backing up to the building the tech rolled their eyes and waved their hands faster as if I were moving too slow. Then they threw down my tailgate so hard and rubbed their lazy body up and down my paint rather than let me the customer hand them down the wheels. All 4 of my wheels were perfect when I dropped them off. All 4 are now gouged from an inexperienced tech. This was absolutely the shittiest experience possible. I feel violated big time. read more

We were driving to West Yellowstone early morning and ran over something on the interstate. We were able to limp into Bozeman on a flat tire and saw Tire Rama and pulled in. We were really upset because we had planned this trip for a year with our young grandson, and since the floods closed the north entrance we were staying by, we had a long drive that morning to get to West Yellowstone. We had only that day to tour the park. It was early and Lane didn't have his full staff in yet and had other appointments he had to take care of. Our tire was destroyed, so it was going to take some time to first get to it, then to put a couple new tires on, since another one was damaged as well. We were looking at 2-3 hours minimum. Our day was pretty much shot. We went across the street to a cafe to eat breakfast resigned to the fact we weren't going to be able to do everything we planned. Within 45 minutes, Lane called me and told me they were done and the car was ready to go! He got someone in there and they got it in so we could have our day. I can't thank Lane and his team enough. Heads up - tire change went from $84 in spring 2023 to $120 in fall 2023. Time to find somewhere new and a lot cheaper. And of course when Tirerama want to reply, they could have got off their rear ends and contacted me. Not difficult guys. The tires that they were changed were wrapped in their coverings and with just a tiny bit of effort they could have discovered that. Remember - a 30% increase in cost in 6 months. read more

I recently took my 2017 Outback to Tire-Rama on East Main Street in Bozeman for a seasonal tire change and the mechanic over-torqued all the lug nuts and one lug nut completely sheared off the hub bolt and they didn't tell me before I drove 75 mph down the interstate to Belgrade! I realized a lug nut was missing when I was unloading my tires at home and went to Gallatin Subaru in Bozeman to get it fixed. Subaru told me all 20 lug nuts were significantly over-torqued and ended up replacing 6 lug nuts and 6 hub bolts because they were cross threaded and damaged beyond use. I knew I couldn't trust Tire-Rama to fix the issue and I was glad I went to Subaru to inspect the vehicle for damage, fix the parts and properly torque all four wheels to the correct specifications. Lane Madan did refund me $70 for the replacement parts and Gallatin Subaru was really nice and didn't charge me for the labor. I'm still shocked how someone could mess up such a simple task and then not tell me there's an issue. I drive a lot of highway miles in Montana and Tire-Rama put my safety and other drivers' safety at risk by not telling me there was an issue before I got on the interstate.  My second issue I had with this Tire-Rama was the mechanic ripped my driver's seat. I never put anything in my back pockets, I'm not a large person and my vehicle's seats are in great condition; this is clearly the careless mechanic's fault. My final issue is they raised their prices for a seasonal tire change from $96 to $126 in 6 months, that's a 31% increase for a service that has no parts. Do not get an oil change here. They ended up overtightening my drain plug and severely cracked the oil pan. They also put the wrong oil filter on which caused my van to leak even more oil. They refused to take responsibility for the cracked oil pan which ended up costing me another $700+. I also got new tires from them as I thought my old ones were leaking and needed to be changed out. They completely failed to see that the leak was happening in the rims and sent us down the road with the same safety issue. Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle elsewhere. read more

Amazing service - friendly, courteous, and professional! I brought my car in due to a tire warning light. I explained that my front two tires needed to be changed, but I wasn't ready to pull the trigger. Instead, I was making sure that there weren't any nails embedded in my tires. Not only did they give my tires a thorough inspection, but they explained the possible reasons for the warning light without aggressively trying to hawk those two front tires. I came in to get a winter set of tires and wheels. The set that was recommended left a high speed rumble in my steering wheel. Wayne and his team were themselves unhappy with the result and so turned over every stone to find a solution. Three wheels and two different tires later, they solved the problem and charged me nothing more even though I know the tires and wheels they ended up using cost much more more than the original set I purchased. Awesome service. I had a check engine light on, and they didn't charge to diagnose or clear the light. Furthermore, they fixed what was wrong (a loose wire/hose to a fan sensor?), and fixed another problem I had (loose heat shield) and didn't charge me for anything. My car is in much better shape after two minor repairs, and I'm so thankful that I didn't have to pay for anything. Auto repairs always come at the worst possible time! I also went in for an oil leak, and they referred me out to a couple mechanics that they trust as I'm not familiar with mechanics in Bozeman. I'm not sure about those mechanics' reputations, but I'm still just very thankful for the work that Tire Rama did for me for no charge. They were friendly, got me in the next day, and called me within a half hour to tell me what was wrong with my car. Very pleased with my experience here. read more

After the Gallatin Mall Tire Rama made us wait one hour before informing us that they didn't have the right tires in stock, we tried the Livingston store. I showed up at the appointed time to get snow tires on only to find out that "oops, the tires didn't make it on the truck so we don't have them to install! Can you wait until the end of the week?" So I scheduled an appointment with the downtown Bozeman store, dropped if off an hour early, and came back three hours later, only to hear "oops! For some reason, we forgot to take the car in and put the tires on!" So now I'm waiting while they put the tires on...finally! I hope Tire Rama works to hire employees who can communicate with customers and not screw up! And when we buy tires for our truck next month, you can bet my $900 will not be going to a Tire Rama. read more

These 2 older over weight guys tried to full on take advantage of me... I'm assuming because I'm a young female they didn't believe I knew what was under my hood. It starts with the day I tried to get my tires rotated. I went in, told them I needed the tires rotated, and to switch my tie rods to the corrects sides (because of another mechanics mess up), and so I waited in the lobby. The mechanic came in from the garage whispered to the other older man behind the counter, and then told me they were "shot", and that they won't rotate my tires unless I buy 2 new ones, and pay to have them installed totaling $325. No thanks. I left, and had a family member double check it (who is also a certified mechanic), and said they're just fine and only need switched to the correct sides. read more

Wow. Talk about good service, integrity, honesty and friendly guys - this is the place. I had a bad experience with Big 0 in Bozeman so when I needed a tire fixed I took it to these guys as I heard that they had a reputation for honesty. Was I ever right to do so!! I have a 1991 Audi All Road and the little plastic caps on the wheels cost 90.00 to replace (although they are a 4 inch piece of plastic). Last year when Big 0 is Salt Lake broke one they said they were sorry but "oh well" the care is old and the plastic cap clips get brittle (which is true). When I got a set of tires from Tire-Rama and they knocked one off the guy apologized that they broke one when taking the wheel off and that they would be replacing it. I said, "do you know they cost almost 100.00 dollars?' he replied without hesitation, "yes, we know but that is our policy". I didn't even have to ask!! This kind of integrity is hard to find these days and especially in a tire shop. I will always go to these guys. I had great results from these guys the last two times I needed them. The first time was an emergency full set of five tire replacement after a blowout. The next was to replace a blown water pump. They were the ones I called when I needed to get the headlight switch replaced. Thinking I could do it myself I had already purchased the replacement switch from Ressler for $140....for ONE lever and a couple wires! But I digress. When I called Tire-Rama, they flat out REFUSED TO USE BRAND NEW FACTORY REPLACEMENT PARTS. Instead, they would make me buy aftermarket parts for probably the same price that would cost them a FRACTION of the cost. NO F-ING WAY! Sorry, you just lost a customer. read more
