For months I have been driving endlessly to find a eye brow lady to replace my Amy. Finally by a friends suggestion I drove here from Mckinney . The Verdict??? There is a GOD in HEAVEN! I am happily walking around with perfectly arched eyebrows, they were so good that my husband couldn't figure out what was "different" Go to Jenny she is the BOMB!!!! I wouldn't hesitate to give four stars to this salon if I hadn't been pressured throughout my services for all kinds of add-on services and then scolded at the time of payment for not bringing cash for a tip. Customers should be able to pay by any method without pressure to help you avoid paying taxes. Everyone knows why you want tips in cash and here's a hint to the owners: what you're doing is not legal. I will say that this place doesn't smell like a typical nail salon, which was nice on the nose during my visit. I got a good mani/pedi from friendly and efficient staff. Prices seemed fairly reasonable too, considering this place is a few steps above the typical strip mall nail salon. read more

I've been going here for twelve years...that should say something. I don't think they've raised their prices in that entire time, and for the most part I've always gotten excellent service. Sandy's been doing my nails for upwards of ten years, and she's the best. I adore her. She seems to do a better job remembering the details of my life than I do...always remembers where we went on vacation , and when my wedding anniversary is. :) Tiffany is a fantastic owner who is hands-on, and runs a great front-of-store. Occasionally her son will be working the front desk, and I've found the whole place operates a little less professionally when he's there. That's just an opinion from a long-time customer. Seriously though, I love this nail salon. They've done a great job of upgrading both the decor and the equipment over the years, and also expanded to the space next door when business picked up. On occasion I'll try someplace closer to home (moved to Allen from Plano 9 years ago), but ultimately I keep coming back to TTTN. There's something to be said for customer loyalty. read more

What happened to customer service?? This place had a policy to only speak English in front of English speaking clients and to not be on their phones-that is no longer the case! They now speak their language while working on you so they are not paying attention to your requests and they watch videos on their phones while trying to work on clients-THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND RUDE!!! The service is consistently going down hill here! I was a very loyal customer for many years and thought I would not have to look for a new salon for a while but due to the above experiences I will not be returning or referring my friends. I have also noticed over the past 6-9 months that the staff has decreased...easy to see why that could be! I would give this place zero stars if I could for there terrible service and rude front desk guy Michael. I called and specifically asked if they had student discounts and I was told over the phone 10% for students. I walk up to the counter WITH my student id to pay and he tried to charge me full price stating and I quote 'sorry you don't look like a student!' Good luck running a small nail salon with that kind of rude attitude and disrespect. Too many other nail salons around that are better than this place. Go elsewhere. read more

I had pretty much given up on french manicures in Plano TX, but gave it one final chance - and I am SO glad I did. My sister and I stopped by Tip To Toe Nail last night; she had Vivian and I got Tammi. We both could not be more pleasantly surprised and excited by the results. Both jobs (gel manicures) were beautifully done; I had french with soft jade green tips, and she had 'traditional' coral - both are exceptional; both are stellar. We discussed and have summed it up to a few things: 1. Excellent technique: beautiful shaping of the nail, great brush strokes -even and invisible ... 2. Quality polish in GREAT condition - not drying out (producing lumpiness). On that note, a great selection of color as well. 3. Superior technology - the drying machines were a step above those in other places I've tried in Plano. They also had a novel way of removing our prior gel polish which worked really well - silicon caplets of some sort. Where my french was concerned, Tammi painted the curve to perfection - one of the best I have ever had - and actually hers now ties with the very best I've had (which was done a few years ago by Lilly at Polish in Santa Monica - Polish no longer exists as Lilly sold that year). We are looking forward to getting pedicures this weekend as we found pictures of some very unusual and beautiful pedicures posted on their site. My sister stated she will no longer try to rush to get a manicure before flying here - and in fact will time it out and get it done with Vivian. I am relieved to have found an artist who can paint a beautiful curve - and overall even polish thickness from base to tip (not interrupted by the additional color french requires); I could not be happier - thank you so much Tammi - you're the best! read more

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Well I have been here 3 times and although they have a nice place their service for customers is awful . The first time I came I had an appt but still had to wait . The second time I asked the lady to trim my cuticles before going with my next gen nails and she told me that would be 5$ more . Funny in other places they do it as part of the service Third when one of my nails broke I came to fix it and the man said "sorry but most of my girls are on vacation I can't fix it right now " so I understood that and asked what time would be better ? And he said " come back at 4". So I did and I had to wait one hour until 5 pm waiting on someone to fix my one broken nail . I don't understand why he told me to come back at 4 when I had to wait . He could have just said come back at 7:30 and I would have but instead he made me wait one hour . Again it's the customer service that will keep me from coming to this place . You can get better service and another place . I don't recommend the service here read more

My mom and I went to get pedicures here, and I experienced probably the least amount of care I've ever gotten during a pedicure. The woman working on my nails rushed through the entire service, barely allowing me to soak my feet, massaging my feet and legs for maybe one minute, then painting one thin layer of polish on my nails. During the service, I tried to turn the massage chair to an enjoyable setting, and she kept turning the dial back and putting it on one that just rolled back and forth on one inch of my back. She continually tried to upsell me to get paraffin wax or extra services, but I politely declined. After hurrying through the process, she ran off to cater to what appeared to be a higher-paying customer getting the works. There were no heat lamps or anything to dry our nails, and we didn't even get those little foam toe separators when we left - they just used a piece of paper towel. The woman who worked on my mom's nails did a decent job. I sat there for a full 30 minutes doing nothing because my lady had already run away while this woman took her time giving my mom a good experience. It may just depend on who you get, but I definitely did not get my money's worth. read more

This was a 3-4 star review in the making but they blew it big time. I was excited when my mom decided to treat me to a mani pedi. Mani was pretty good - got a basic one and my nails look great. However, didn't appreciate the upsell. Pedi - woman was extremely rude the entire time, my water was cold, she was pushing my toes in directions toes don't go and was extremely standoffish. The pedi itself looks nice and that's where it would've ended but no it didn't. When putting on the flip flops, she smudged a nail of mine, looked at it, and disappeared without an explanation without saying anything - I'm sure hoping I wouldn't notice. We were able to get her back to fix it but she all but drew blood leaving a mark where she dug her nail into my toe while fixing it. The one star goes to my mom who was trying to do a nice thing - zero stars to this place. read more

First, I decided to give this shop a try for one thing and one thing only, they actually sterilize their equipment (tools that clean your nails) make it a point to advertise it on their website. This is the FIRST nail salon I have personally found that practices sterilization of equipment (come to find out, it should be practiced but 99% don't!). I had contacted nail fungus at another local nail salon in Frisco where I live and loved my manicurist, only when she wasn't able to do my nails one day another gal who said she did my mother in laws (who contacted fungus from her) did mine and I didn't want to be rude by not saying anything thinking maybe it was a fluke, BIG mistake, I ended up getting it and stopped going. Unless you practice what Tip To Toe nail does, most of those manicurists are so busy they aren't going to clean their tools the way you would want them. Most don't realize contacting fungus and even blood related diseases are so easy to catch from a nail salon. With that said, once in this established salon (they also have a loyal following for good reason) I went to see Sandy based on another yelp review. She's as sweet as pie, makes it a point to get to know you and your nail needs. If you're not happy she makes it a priority to make sure your satisfied which is rare, a lot are about getting you in and out; her massages are also very good if you're doing a pedicure, so relaxing you forget why you're there i.e. to get nails done. I believe her name is Michelle at the front desk, she rocks, she also makes it a point to make sure your happy, gives tips if your needing them and goes out of her way to provide A+ customer service, speaks English fluently if that is important to you (not to me necessarily but I know some of you post about that). In addition, Jenny does in fact have a gift for eyebrows; I had no idea mine could get as ARCHED as they do until she worked her magic. She has a gift and if you need your brows done, go see Jenny and it's worth it to wait if she's unavailable or busy, trust me on this! Edit to include, when they bring out the tools to work on your nails they're in a sealed plastic bag they have to open just as if it's brand new, that I like! I went here for eyebrow waxing. While the lady did do a good job waxing and cleaning up my brows, it wasn't until it was too late when I realized she did my eyebrows crooked! I fell in love with Tip to Toe Nails the first time I walked through the doors, which was, gosh, 3 years ago now! Michael cheerfully greets you as you walk in and is ready to please. Every single nail tech in there does a fantastic job. I always have Vivian do my solar nails and she is awesome! Tammy is also great. But again, if they are unavailable, I am always pleased with the work that anyone else does. Tip to Toe Nails has a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. The prices are competitive. I pay $30 for a solar nail fill at Tip to Toe, and at Glamour Nails in Richardson (near my home) they charge $35 and don't do nearly as good of a job! Vivian is also talented at eyebrow and lip-waxing! I just love her! read more

This is the most expensive nail salon I've ever been to, and I can't say the finished product is any better than any of the cheaper places I've been. It took a lot longer, too. The staff is nice, but the lady I had drilled down my nails so much that my fingertips were sore for the next day and a half. I saw three beetles inside, but I hear that is pretty standard for any business in Texas, so I can't complain. It's a nice place overall. read more

This place is nice inside. It has kids chairs which I thought was super cute. It looked clean and newly decorated. The service was so-so. I was a little upset that the lady told me my nails were too long and chopped them off when I asked her to just trim them and file. Then I was criticized for wanting them rounded instead of the easy square. I was then asked for a brow wax and when I just had one done last week and only came in for a Manicure. I felt very blah after leaving when this was supposed to be my pampering for the week. I wouldn't return here, the service was mediocre and I don't like to be pushed or made to feel bad when paying for a service. read more

I have gone to many nail salons. Tip to Toe is by far the best. I have been going here for 2 years now. Jenny (who is WONDERFUL) has been doing my nails for the whole 2 years and never have I had a problem. She has become a friend to me and I always look forward to going and seeing her. The one and only time she was running behind when I had a scheduled appt, she gave me the greatest massage ever! Whether it's acyrilics, mani, pedi, shellac, it always lasts, and if something happens they will fix it right away. I have a tendency of biting my nails, i bit my nails off 5 days after i got them done, and Jenny fixed them for me no problem! Also, Jenny is the best waxer ever. I HATE being tweezed, when she waxes my eyebrows she gets ALL the hair without having to tweeze me once! Love love love tip to toe! I will never go back to any other nail salon! read more

I just spent $65 on the worst massage I have ever received. Seriously, the girl that worked on me had obviously never given a massage in her life. She uselessly *PINCHED* my back and upper arms for an entire hour and called it quits. She couldn't even figure out how to turn on the stereo or dim the lights. I shudder to think what these people might do with a nail file. If you are looking for a spa treatment, go somewhere else. ANYWHERE ELSE!!! I think, due to location, this is my new nail place. Close to work and quite affordable. You can get a manicure in your lunch hour and they are cognizant of a time crunch. Very happy with the job they did on my shellac manicure, I went back for a shellac manicure, pedicure and brow waxing. I got all three for about 75. I think it's affordable. Happy with all services. I had no wait when I went on a Thursday at lunch but there was a wait on a Monday after work so it's probably best to just make an appointment. They were extremely apologetic about the wait and everyone is very friendly. I even met another patron that had been going to them for 16 years! read more

Nail tech did a good job on pedicure. However, after I had been there for several minutes I had major itching on my ankle. I told the tech and she immediately put alcohol on my ankle. After I got home I realized I had 12 close together bug bites (fleas or bed bugs) that were in the salon. Went here for the first time today and the service was terrible. They kept trying to up sale me on my pedicure and the rushed through it. They did the same pedi on my friend with me and did stuff to her that they didn't do me. This was the worst nail salon i have ever been to they lied about the type of gel nails they do, i specifically asked them if the make of gels they use are called Bio sculpture gels and they said YES so they did this so called bio gel on me and my sister which we then saw were not the make bio sculpture gels but another make which have ruined our nails completely the gel nails started to chip and come off within 24 hours, so I would strongly say DO NOT GO THERE, i don't know how they are still in business they are con artist who say what you want to hear but can't deliver the service, and all of this cost $50 a complete rip off when we went back they refunded both of us a full refund as they knew how bad it was and the fact they lied. Got my nails done here for my senior Prom and cousin's wedding and have gone in a handful of times for a basic mani/pedi, and I walk out feeling and looking great each time! They do a wonderful job with my nails and I never have to wait long to be served. They do talk to each other in another language and of course I always wonder if it's about me, but they are very friendly and it's a minor aspect of the overall experience.
