Apparently that was code for 'treat them less than, roll your eyes, and don't care about it'. One technician filled a bowl half way with cold water and then walked away for a solid ten to fifteen minutes to finish another client. Not unheard of- but the cold tub is wild. When asked for help, management argued and was reluctant to fill the tub. When he came back there was a lack of communication, and he was impatient to be finished. There were other issues, this is just an example. Do not go here unless you feel the need to spend a large -seemingly required- amount for a subpar service. read more

Once I told the lady I wanted the cheapest pedicure her entire demeanor changed. I could tell that she was not trying as hard to give me a good pedicure anymore, and was barely trying. She took it off and said "the nail polish would've came off in the shower" overall I'm not super impressed with my experience here. Nail artists are sweet & friendly here. The only thing I do not like is the process of removing old nail designs. For my pedicure, they removed my gel with just the filer where I have small nail beds & the filer rubs against my skin. Most places I go to soak each nail with alcohol & they use a drill or filer. For manicures, they have you soak most of your hands in a bowl with alcohol & water. It's really bad for the skin as it's only the nail polish that needs to be addressed not the skin. I don't feel like they're up to date with the nails trends, so it'll probably be my last time I'll go if I have a specific nail design. read more

This is an amazing nail salon. I came here in a Friday afternoon around 3:30pm for a mani pedi. I got the dip nails and a deluxe pedi. What I loved is they were able to do both in an hour. They helped me match my dip fingernail color with my feet which I truly appreciated. What I liked is when I immediately came in I was greeted with a friendly cashier. She directed me to the dip nail color choices and helped me with my color selection. There wasn't a wait time but I know if it's the weekend it'll get busy since this is a popular place. My nail tech Alexis was incredibly nice and attentive not only that she was making me laugh. We had a great conversation about her and her daughter who lives in Washington. Save yourself a headache and choose anywhere else. Management has extremely poor judgment in refusing to honor a gift certificate purchased for its location that had no expiration date. First, it's just bad business. When a business refuses to honor a gift certificate, it tells the person who purchased the gift certificate, the recipient of the gift certificate and everybody they know that the business is untrustworthy and unreliable. Second, when this business did not honor a gift certificate that did not have an expiration date, it probably violated Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure (CARD) Act of 2009 which states that gift certificates cannot expire for at least five years from the date they were activated and must clearly state its explanation date. Obviously, neither I or the person who gifted me with this gift certificate will ever use or recommend this business again. They also will unquestionably incur a lot more expense than honoring the hundred dollar gift certificate when they have to defend the investigation on the complaint I file under the CARD Act. They've earned less than than one star review, but that's the lowest I can give them. Update: noticed that he totally ignores that federal law prohibits him from having the expiration date that he states is his policy. In other words, he's a bad businessman both because he violates the law and because he doesn't respect customers. I'm sharing his response with my federal complaint. read more

Visited yesterday and was not impressed. The place itself seemed unclean - the towels they were using were dirty and I questioned if the tools had been properly cleaned. The gentlemen man doing my pedicure cut me with clippers and tried to prevent he didn't and ignored it when I tried to speak about it. Also. The polish was very sloppy - polish all over my skin. Just so you know, I do a mani pedi as much for the experience as I do for the result. I scored both here and I am picky AF. I was in Plano because Frisco doesn't have a Whole Foods or a Trader Joe's, and randomly decided I needed a treat (ok, I do this every 2 wks regardless) and when I looked up "nail salons" on Yelp I was on my way to a different spot which may or may not exist, and then I saw Instyle. Based on the 3 stars overall it seems like they're trying to come back from the bad reviews for the prior owner so I gave them a chance. This place is super clean and they have like 3987589 NexGen color options, including glow in the dark. They were patient with me while I changed my mind many times. I chose the milk and honey hot stone massage jelly pedicure and before I knew it my feet were covered in red goo as I squished my feet around and changed my color choice AGAIN because the chick next to me was doing the yellow Khloe Kardashian nails I did last year for my Tokyo/Guam trip and I remembered how much I loved them (the pic doesn't do the neon justice). They used all new tools and did all the sanitary stuff required. They did an amazing job and when I decided to switch my rounded square to almond shape, they were totally consistent and perfect enough not to trigger my OCD. $88 before tip and I was out the door feeling relaxed and happy with nails that make me smile every time I look at them. read more

I have four stars for the service rendered however I had to take away a star because of being overwhelmed as soon as you walk in the door and till you get seated. Watch out for a huge menu being shoved in your face, be wary about them rushing you into making a decision on what type of service you should get when you specifically came in for something else and be aware that you'll have two people working on you which means the tip will have to be higher in the end. I've been to several salons within plano. Some have really gone downhill over the years, especially with COVID. A friend of mine told me about this salon and I've come here a few times now. The salon is so pretty, and the staff are all so nice. The nail techs are very talented, too. Nicky is my favorite so far. I will say the nail designs cost a bit more than I've paid in the past but my nails never crack, chip or break. They also have TONS of colors, I've never seen so many, honestly one of the reasons I keep coming back. You want something and it's pretty much guaranteed they have it. Def come try it out! Visiting Plano from Massachusetts. Needed a mani/pedi asap. Had a long grueling trip with packed flights and crying kids. Ppl just rude and inflight screens not working. I hate to admit they were my second choice. The first place i called wouldn't/couldn't take walk-ins. So i called Instyle. They were super accommodating and told us to come right in and they'd take us right away. Called an Uber and embarrassed it was right across the street. True to their word they had us pick a color and got us seated for our pedicures. Now while waiting we're were offered wine, water soda or juice. I picked white and My friend picked red. We felt Boston needs to step up their game because this experience was amazing. The decor, the hospitality was so nice. We weren't treated like just another client. The held true conversations with us. I know it's Texas but the prices were the same as Boston but a lot more included in that price. Just so relaxing. The massage, scrub and hot towel. Mmm. What a terrible experience we had. I made an appointment the night before for 1 pedicure and 2 manicures. We get there and no one realizes we are there. After few minutes finally we get to sit. The water that we were supposed to soak our nails was soooo hot that we could not stick our hands there. I absolutely LOVE this place. Hands down the best nail salon I have ever been to. Number one reason: honesty with time and amazing management. Vin is the owner and he does an outstanding job with hospitality and customer service. Majority of nail salons biggest complaint are time issues. They tell you it's a 5 minute wait yet you're still there 15-20 mins later. When you're finally seated, no one attends to you for another 10 mins. I have never had that issue here. Everyone is so polite, kind, listens to what you want, and there's consistency with all the nail technicians. I've never had a one-off person that stood out in a negative way. Jessica is my go-to gal. Clean, fast job, knows the trendy stuff, and listens well to your wants. If you're on a time crunch she can get you in and out and still do a dang good job!
