I went in for a simple color change, nails didn't even need to be cut or filed. Charged me $29 for it and they did a pretty poor job. There were bubbles, uneven paint; the woman kept having me remove my hands from the light after 30 seconds and then painted 1 finger and put it back in, etc. It was the oddest manicure, and she lost count of how many coats she put on each nail so it was very uneven and looked awful. Had to have it redone 5 days later. Place was also empty when I came in late on a Sat morning; they were all napping in the chairs. read more

I walked into this place after my normal nail girl was late without any notification (she's late on a usual basis and I'm over it!). Escape Nails got me in super quickly and Ethan gave me a new dip manicure! He was great. He moved quickly but not too quickly to where there were mistakes. I went in for a Gel Manicure and a pedicure. When my mother and I walked in it was UPSELL UPSELL UPSELL, even after saying NO! She talked me into getting her to "extend" my natural nails, however they got filled down past where my nail originally was. WHAT WAS THE POINT!?! In addition, in the middle of my mani/pedi Linda went over to welcome regular customers, that's fine; but she was with them talking and helping them for over 6minutes.. she was getting them water, helping them pick nail colors and styles.... while leaving me sitting... She went on to almost finish my nails, and when I asked about my gel color she said "no" that's not what I said, then she tried to explain and tell me I was wrong; I just said "just finish my nails" so I could go after the treatment I already experienced... her reply was "you are being mean" I'm sorry?!? All I said was just finish, like what?!? My nails and cuticles are THICK, FAKE looking, and the cuticles were not even touched; a WASTE of $45 like NEVER GOING BACK!!!! (I am writing this review because she called me mean, and rude) so I can share how terrible this place was! I go in there with my friend expecting to pay $35 for NexGen nails with tips and then they say it costs $5 for cuticle care and an extra $5 for nail tips and somehow the overall cost is $50 for everything which is NexGen nails with tips and cuticle care which is supposed to be included in the pricee already!!?!? I show my nail tech, Judy my reference photo as to which nail shape I want and she didn't really get it on point the first few times as I had to keep guiding her to the shape that I want. Not to mention my middle finger nail length is LONGER than my thumb and the shape still isn't what I wanted since I got tired of telling her how I wanted them since I didn't want to annoy her even more. Need I mention she seemed pretty careless with her work and it felt more like she wanted to get it over with. My friend however got the nail tech Michelle. Me and my friend really loved her personality as she seemed genuine and had a conversation with my friend. HOWEVER she did accidentally knick the skin around her thumb causing her to bleed which is a pretty big NO NO I will definitely not be coming back as they are REALLY overpriced for very badly done nails. I went to Escape Nails Spa on a friend's recommendation. My nail tech's name was Linda, and I purchased a NexGen manicure. First impressions: The salon is small, but the space is well utilized. No one waiting for a service had to stand, and there were lots of stations available. The salon was also clean and had comfortable seating (and when your nails are taking an hour plus, that's very important). I was given a wheel of color choices after letting the staff know I wanted NexGen, so I was able to pick my color as I waited. They had many options, from solids to ombres to glittery colors. Linda was very attentive to me throughout the service. My nails were damaged from my previous visit to a different salon, and I let her know this. She took care of my nails and told me exactly what she was doing throughout the process, checking in with me throughout to make sure I wasn't being hurt by any of the tools used and that I approved of any shaping she did. Before moving on to the next step, she asked me if everything looked good and let me take as much time as I needed checking everything (I'm picky!). She spent so much time on my nails making sure they looked perfect, and I could not be happier with the end results. I have attached two photos to this review showing the end result of my manicure. The pricing was very up front and I was not charged any surprise fees. There are service menus available and the staff was very good about explaining the differences between services to me. I think we've all been to nail salons where there was one good person and everyone else was, well, not so good. One thing that really made this salon a 5 star salon for me is that it seemed like everyone around me was having a similar experience. I've usually had amazing experiences with Escape Nails, but this time was completely different. Not only were my nails left with sticky residue all over my finger (I attached a picture AND I also washed my hands throughout the day and they were still there). Additionally, the person who did my nails gave me huge cuts on my cuticles that hurt every time I wash my hands or do anything that expose my cuticles. My manicurist was also visibly annoyed every time I pulled away (obviously in pain) and snatched my hand right back. She didn't try to be careful after I obviously took my hand away in pain and instead looked like she was hurrying through the manicure. I'm not sure what happened to my experience this time, but I just felt rushed and it obviously shows. My fingers still have the Nexgen residue and cuts all over my cuticles. read more

I've been to this nail salon twice now, and I had different results each time. I love the Escape pedicure they offer, and find that I would return for that. The first visit I came only for a pedi and it was so nice and relaxing. However, I went and got a gel mani/pedi the week of my wedding and was so disappointed with the execution of the services. The gel around my cuticles was super messy and started to almost crumble in only a couple of days. The tips of my nails almost seemed to not have any polish on them. I do not recommend this Spa, the Manager (a chinese middle age woman) is not nice and very rude, she yelled at my wife and the way she was doing the nails was very rough and I could see the pain in my wife's face, when I asked her to be nice she was not sorry for what she had done and tried to convince me not to say this in front of their customers. This caused infection to my wife's nails. I am definitely not going there any more and will not recommend this place to anybody...this place sucks. It was the first pedicure and advanced treatment I've had anywhere that didn't hurt or I didn't have cuts on my toes. My skin is sensitive and it felt amazing. I previously had left a 5 star review but after my recent experience I had to change it. Basically was told my card was declined for the service provided, yet my bank statement in my phone said otherwise. I even called my bank and they said yes the money had been taken out and approved and the owner proceeded to argue with me that the payment didn't go through. Had to call my bank and claim fraud on the initial charge and sure enough not even a day later, I was refunded because she charged my card MULTIPLE times when she argued it was declined. So if you go here I would take cash or be prepared for a hassle. So sad that this experience will cause me to never go back to this salon. read more

Disappointing isn't sufficient to describe my experience at Escape. After recently moving to the area, I was looking forward to my first pedicure since the start of the pandemic. I requested the Escape Pedicure, which was supposed to be the best service. The dated space and uncomfortable chair should have been a clear indicator of what to expect, but I was hopeful based on the history of positive reviews. The service was mediocre at best. The 'hot' towels and 'hot' stones for the 'massage' were lukewarm, and I seriously question the cleanliness of the salon because the towels were stained (hoping it was just nail polish and not blood) and had huge holes. Lastly, four days later several of my toes feel raw and like my toenails were ripped off and it's painful to walk because they were cut too short. I will be lucky if I don't get an ingrown toenail. Suffice it to say, I will be looking for a new salon for my next pedicure. read more

I had a gel manicure and regular pedicure (which I get about once every 5-6 weeks) and my friend had the regular pedicure and nexgen manicure with tips (she had not been to a nail salon in about 10 years) and they did a great job at adapting to each of our requests. My first experience here was so nice and calming. I was serviced by a very sweet lady named Judy. She did a great job. I tipped her and she provided me with her card. Today was one of the most embarrassing experiences I have had in a very long time. I called, made an appointment and showed up on time. After I was a little over halfway finished being serviced, Judy advises me that per Linda she has to leave my appointment and assist Linda with her appointment that came late. I said but I have an appointment with you. This was disregarded. I was the only brown person being serviced and I also was the only person who was asked to pause their appointment, change the person who was servicing them, and be told it was because I didn't have an appointment. I corrected Linda on this several times as she tried to make light of the embarrassment. Never Again! read more

I really wanted to like this place. Came here after positive reviews from a friend of a friend. The salon was busy, and my friend and I waited about 15 minutes in our chairs to start two sets of NexGen. I clarified when we started that I wanted my cuticles cleaned before applying the powder. I was not told this was extra, and probably would not have gone here if I had not known that the $45 NexGen service didn't come with a full manicure (cuticles, lotion, hot towels), as it should. I was charged an additional $5 for the cuticle clean at the end. A group of rowdy teenagers came in about 1/2 way through our service and proceeded to walk barefoot through the salon, cursing loudly and freely grabbing items from the mini fridge next to my chair. When we were finally ready to leave, my friend noticed that some of her nails had oxidized after drying, and were partially lighter than the other. The tech claimed it was a "marble" color, but that's not what it looked like on the nail. As we were checking out, an elderly woman that worked there shoved past me without so much as an "excuse me." It wasn't until we were clearly disgruntled as we left that the tech that did my friend's nails then offered to re-do her set. The final straw was the woman running the checkout trying to run my card, which doesn't have a chip, through the chip machine three times before she finally heard me say "it doesn't have a chip." Then it took two more times for her to get the transaction to go through. Needless to say, we won't be back. read more

They are wonderful and I always leave feeling pampered. Sometimes I feel chatty and sometimes I just want to relax. Linda's staff is friendly and inquisitive when I need it and quiet when I don't. At Christmas time I tried their mani-pedi combo which includes a neck and shoulder massage in addition to a fabulous leg and foot massage! Wow! That's my favorite service they have.
