Outstanding. Manya is seriously the best wax therapist in the DFW area. I've seriously been to all of the highly rated ones in the Plano/Dallas/Richardson area over the last 15 years. I have had every part of by my annoyingly thick, dark, Portuguese-heritage, peri-menopause body hairs removed when my finances will allow and the world isn't a hot mess with a pandemic happening. For me, waxing isn't painless and you'll have a better experience of you know the truth and don't expect it to feel like butterfly kisses. Also, certain sensitive areas hurt a lot more that others (like with a Brazilian) as you might expect. But seriously, Manya's technique IS, I'm really serious, hands down, the least painful I've ever experienced. It's also the most thorough removal and she pays attention to details (even uses a tweezer when necessary) and seems to be a natural at shaping eyebrows. Also, I never have burns or or really bad ingrown hairs which is amaaazing. She is seriously talented at this. But I haven't even mentioned the best part - she's also an amazing human being with outstanding patience and listening skills. She is a true joy to be around and I always leave feeling like I have a better perspective on life and more positive feeling in general. She really does care about you as a person and your total well being. Oh! She also did a great job on my eyebrow tinting and I'm looking forward to trying Riki with her and a facial in the future! I never thought I could give somebody 5 stars for waxing, but Manya truly deserves it!! Here is my story. I used to go elsewhere for a good price, but every time I tried to make a reservation the employee who picked up the phone was rude and said they were always booked. I gave up and started to look elsewhere and found Manya. I found her on yelp and called to ask about the price and so on. She told me right away about the special going on and I decided to make an appointment because she was just so nice and friendly on the phone. Plus, the special also pulled me in. I get off work later than most people and she was willing to schedule me after her usual closing time. BIG PLUS. She will work with me and my schedule. I came on time and I met her. She was so kind, sweet, and welcoming with a big smile. It was really nice and relieving. She was friendly and very likable within just minutes of meeting her. She has a true authenticity about her that makes me feel like I trust her. She doesn't push on any other deals she has. She doesn't sale any products. It's just her and what I need that she can help with. I was lucky when I came because well she was starting her wine and chocolate no-flour cake the next day, but she gave me some anyway. It was delicious. She knows how to pick good wine and cake. Her waxing bed is incredibly comfortable. I actually want to buy one and put it where I work so I can take naps. Not only that her space is very clean and home-y feeling. Cleanliness matters to me A LOT. The other places I've been going to wasn't that clean. I've seen cockroaches and all, but Manya is clean. Best of all, her work is GREAT. Compared to anybody I've been to her technique and product does NOT hurt me or gets me red. It's interesting because I have sensitive skin and if somebody accidentally scratch me lightly I would be red for hours. Yet Manya's products and technique did not leave me red. Not only that she is detailed and does a great job. I don't understand how good she can get the job done. I've been to several others and it left me dissatisfied, but she makes me happy and I appreciate her. She takes her time at the same time she is efficient. She also chats with you, which takes the awkwardness go away. She has specials weekly so call and ask, or look at her facebook. She has a NO TIPPING policy. I absolutely love that. Other place used to charge me different prices each time I went even with a membership, but Manya doesn't do that. It's pretty much set and I don't have to worry about anything. Wow. Where do I begin? I've heard about Reiki in the past but didn't know much about it. When Manya suggested it I was interested. The first session was very energetic and effectual. I've dealt with mental health battles for as long as I can rememer. Manya could sense what I'm going through. She encouraged me to spend time in nature and soak in some vitamin D from the sun. I know there is no specific cure for my depression. Being in nature and spending time outdoors has been an antidote for this struggle. There is no cure all technique to eliminate what I am enduring. I know it will take constant work/ determination and that's for life. She helped me realize that I am worthy and must focus on loving myself. For the first time in my life I am doing that.
