I wanted a nail polish change and figured I'd try and go somewhere on my lunch break, and I drive by here all the time on my way to work. I was pleasantly surprised I could book an appointment online. I got a text before (and after) reminding me of the appointment (and thanking me for coming.) Upon walking in, I had high hopes because the inside is very nice and fancy. I got a regular polish color change (worth the $10!). I expected she'd take off my old color and put on my new one - but she also filed and buffed my nails. Everyone I interacted with was nice, the place was spotless, and yah she did a GREAT job. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this business. I was not satisfied with the service I received. I picked a color from their sample book, but even after trying three different powders, they were still unable to match the color I originally selected. Their explanation was that the samples are made on clear nails, not natural nails -- but the color on my nails turned out to be three shades lighter than the sample. Additionally, after just a week, one of my nails chipped. When I returned to have it fixed, I pointed out another nail that was about to fall off. Instead of properly fixing it, they simply applied glue underneath, and two days later, the nail came off completely. Also my nails are all about to fall off !! After about 10 days, my nails lost their shine, looked dull, and started to look broken. Overall, I was very disappointed with the quality and durability of their work. read more

Botched manicure and pricing way too high, comparatively. Walk-in manicure--tips and dip powder color. Selections, poor and limited. Was reminded a couple of years ago, I was forced to select 3 different powder colors (!) before manicurists (more than one) agreed my selection worked well. "Worked well?" Take colors off options circular that perform poorly!Perhaps this was part of prob with my experience last week in addition to inadequate manicurist's work. She was extremely slow, made 2-3 redo attempts on 2 nails, filing was uneven, and I've very small nail beds! I was shocked by cost before leaving, but didn't complain, and tipped substantially. Immediately after leaving, while driving, I started feeling my nails and noted smudges and rough sides on all 5 nails of left hand! There were "bumps" of excess powder and adhesive polish. Right hand had same issues, though not quite as noticeable. I returned immediately. Guy presiding at front desk immediately inquired, but disappointingly, questioned my opinion when I showed him my thumb insisting he feel the unevenness/bumpiness, and showed smudges elsewhere, which he paid no attention. Manicurist appeared immediately, was kind and concerned. Both offered to repair prob then. I did not have time. Told them I'd return the following day. I needed a complete re-do. Following day, I did not have the time--3 days later, I can say the color is fading and changing. Cheap dipping powders perhaps? How does one leave with smudges on a "dip" manicure?? Will never go back. I'm not a demanding person where manicures are concerned. But, this was my 3rd and final visit being displeased. Manicurist was kind, but from the "get-go" she seemed inexperienced. Repeated attempts on more than one nail was not confidence-inspiring. Convenient location has been the draw until now. Do not even bother making an appointment because they will always take walk-ins before people who have scheduled appointments. I see it every time I go and you could be waiting up to 45+ mins past your appointment time before they even get you into a chair. When you finally get a nail tech to work on your nails they are in such a hurry to get to the next client, they are not taking their time, sloppy, can hurt you with the Dremel when it gets too hot or hits your cuticle and the cuticle clippers, and after all that they even do a poor job on the paint/gel on your nails. Go anywhere else. I'm not someone who judge a place on a first or even second impression. I'll give it several tries because who knows? Maybe I just got unlucky with the first couple techs. But I've given this place more than its fair share of second chances and I can say without a doubt in my mind, you are not missing out on anything good here. read more

Dip manicure took over an hour and a half. I am bleeding on at least two fingers and my nails are lumpy after bringing it up twice. There is dip all around and under my nails. I paid to have a tip added which is $5 and I told Laura I wanted my nails medium length however she still charged me $5 additional for "extra long nail" . I had no idea how things worked but the front person and my nail technician was very nice and made my first experience an unforgettable one. I told her the previous place had cut me and she was ultra gentle with me and checked in the make sure the drill wasn't too hot or hurting me. I went in to get my nexgen removed and walked out with weak nails, cuts on my skin, and hands covered in glue! I used to be someone that went here often... you can forget that now. Unless you look like an uppity suburban mom you will not at all get treated like everyone else. My nail chipped after not even have them done for a WEEK. I went back because I knew the name of the nail color but not the specific #. NO ONE helped me find my perfect match as I sat there frustrated explaining I know the name. They insisted I pick something similar instead. (Makes no sense.. I literally came back to get my nails done here to have the same freaking color) Not only that but the nail tech didn't even shape my fixed nail.. this nail looks like a piece of crap now. I also had to ask her to remove the polish from my skin that she carelessly left. I should've just went somewhere else. You lost a customer for good. When we arrived, they had someone ready to help with the dip set but had my husband sit in a chair and then completely forgot about him afterwards. He asked twice if someone was going to help him and they said they were busy. Other customers came in and they started working on pedicures for them but kept ignoring my husband. He sat waiting for 45 mins with no acknowledging him. When we asked them what's happening they said they were busy and didn't have anyone available for him. I have been going to the same nail place in frisco for 2 years. But I heard from a friend that they had the mood changing nexgen here so i decided to try it tonight. I regret it very much. 4 different people worked on my nails. They didn't file down my old nexgen and just started soaking until I reminded them. They took absolutely forever to remove the old set. I felt rushed tho once they started the new one. She filed so much after the dip that I know they are going to chip at the tips because it's not really "sealed" like my other place does and the tips are rough and not pretty. plus it was a lot more expensive than what most places charge for dip. I had to clip and file them from coffin to almond shape this week. I got my nails done May18th. First off, great color selection for dip powder. Generally inviting and friendly atmosphere... I hate leaving a bad review. But I was cut on two of my fingers and skin broke on three others. Out of five fingers I bled from two. And noticeably, mind you. I've had issues in the past when other salons/techs have gotten my skin when getting the cuticles, maybe a little bit of a file burn. But they usually would've treated it with some sort of antiseptic. But nope. Not my tech today. Also had the audacity to complain about it taking too long to shape when I went and told her I want coffin. She convinced me to get narrow, I didn't like it and requested the coffin. This place deserves no stars! My mom gave me a gift certificate to redeem at this place. When I arrived, I asked the receptionist if I could redeem my gift certificate and SHOWED IT TO HER. She told me I could and paired me up with a technician. The service took forever. Another worker that was sweeping the floor near me made a comment (in another language) to my technician that the color I chose was ugly. Thanks. At the time of payment, I showed them my gift certificate and they began to search their records to match my gift certificate number with theirs. I contacted them for an appointment with her and they said she does not work there anymore but could set up an appointment with one of two techs who are equally as good. I agreed. Once I got there, both techs were not there/not available. They convinced me to let someone else do my nails. It is now a week and a half later and my nails are falling apart.
