I just don't know how to describe my review for this. We are located in the neighborhood behind the salon and it's convenient for us to get pedicures here. Nancy and the owner are very attentive to customers and are better than some of the last owner's management; however, the new management does not remember former customers and basically tells you what it is that they will be doing depending on how much you will pay them or tip them. I have been going to Skyline since 2019, and I'm extremely appalled at how they leave the salon to be closed by women that are illegals and don't know how to run a business. This place needs, yet again, new ownership and accountability because of it's location. They don't even have a streaming program on all of the TVs and the ambience is struggling at best. I'm not taking it personally, and I have good nails that are easy to pedicure. They have got to get this under control because the service is terrible overall. read more

The place was very beautiful upon visiting with a friend of mine and customer service was amazing. However I did not like the fact that although I wanted to try out a new set of gel-x nails the owner convinced me to not try that and try to fill them instead. Now unfortunately the filling is was not what I had expected in quality and after a week my nails chipped. Although I had asked for the price for the set at the beginning before they got started on my nails I still got charged a $5 fee for long nails which it was explained to me initially that since I did not cut my nails or reshape them I shouldn't be charged so that took me by shock. I feel like a VIP when I call for my appointment and walk in the door. EVERY technician is so friendly, polite and smiling. We have our regular technicians but if they are not available the other technicians also do a great job. I went in today to get Gel X and a pedicure for an upcoming wedding I'm in. I'm extremely disappointed in my experience. During my pedicure, the lady cut me on each foot while she was scrapping my feet. The polish on my toes is also so poorly done. For the gel x, I kept asking for a shorter length because they were too long and she was getting annoyed that I kept asking for them to be shorter and eventually just stopped asking/saying anything to me. Which is so frustrating because I'm the one paying for this and I'm the one that's going to have to wear them. I had to ask for her to refile my nails as there were sharp edges and a bunch of glue under the nail touching my skin when she came back over to take the UV light away (she had already moved onto a different customer during this time). The edges are very poorly done and I'm disappointed that I spent so much money coming here. I will never be returning to this place. I should have asked for someone to fix them or should have just told them to stop so I could leave to go somewhere else. I get my nails done on a regular basis and usually love skyline nails. I went here every 2-3 weeks for years until new ownership. There are two times I have presented the owner with a coupon that she has done everything in her power to not accept or try to not accept. Even today when checking in on yelp. I love the pedicures and massages given here. Their establishment is clean and accommodating with champagne or margaritas for you. The chairs are comfy, but this is the second time I have gone since it has been under new ownership where the service was sub par. First, she was adamant not to honor my check-in coupon from yelp for $5. Then, the nail tech kept going up onto the skin at the bed of my nail and now they are cut up and red. I asked during the entire time for him to be careful. I jerked my hand away and I finally just had him stop and said I was done, thanked him, and I will finish shaping my nails at home. I'm going to a conference this week, I wanted my hands to look lovely and pretty. Instead, it looks like I've been working with tools without gloves. The nail tech was sweet, but the owner rang me up and still had an extra $5 charge for my cuticles on there. While I was standing there with them noticeable much more irritated, red, & cut up compared to when I came in. She also did not want to apply the coupon. As much as I love Andy for pedicures, Heather, and some of the other nail techs and the massages. I don't know if I will be back. Needless to say, I'm not the happiest camper right now. My pedicure is beautiful and my next generation color is beautiful. The techs were sweet, maybe he just needs more experience in changing the drimmel heads and how to be more delicately detailed. Let me just say this: making mistakes is ok but to GASLIGHT your customer into believing the mistake made was a pre existing issue is nothing short of being a slimey salesman. From the second I sat down to get a gel pedicure, the man that was assisting me was acting as if he was racing against the clock. There were a total of 4-5 customers in there on a Wednesday afternoon- so there was no need to rush the way he did. Then, when taking off the gel already on my toes with the buffer machine that was on an entirely too high of a level, he managed to break one of my toe nails in HALF and then had the audacity to say "what happened?!" because he didn't think I way paying attention. Then proceeded to say "this is a tip, right?" when in fact, it was painfully obvious that I had no tips on my toenails and he did indeed just break my actual toenail. To top it off, when I reached for my foot to look at the damage he swatted my hand away and scolded me not to touch it so that he could GLUE my half broken nail back together. Trying to control my anger, I decided to just stay silent and not engage in any conversation he was trying to make for the rest of my experience there. After noticing I was pissed, I was then offered a glass of champagne "for the month of december" and a nail cuticle oil for free. I am still so angry and annoyed with the service here. I'm very picky about length and shape of my fingernails (I want them to look natural) and Emma listened to what I wanted and made them flawless. Amazing nail place! I saw that they had a $5 off first service here and I knew I had to take advantage of that as well as the amazing TX prices as compared to NYC. I got a regular pedicure and a dip manicure for the NYE holiday. The salon is super spacious, and they have an endless amount of nail colors, types, and selections. I forgot how much more popular artificial nails are down south. They had two nail technicians working on me at once so that I could be out on my way within the hour whcih I loved. Both my mani and pedi were perfect and just what I wanted, and they were super efficient and sweet throughout. With the $5 discount, I paid $57 total (without tip) for both services which is unheard of where I live now. I'm not in Dallas much anymore, but if I am I will definitely be coming in here! read more

The worst soak off I've ever gotten anywhere, the lady who helped me was very nice but definitely tried to rush my service (there were 2 other clients in the salon, not busy at all, 10/3/22 at around 5:25pm) The woman who serviced me cut my nails so short, she even cut my skin... the tip of my finger she cut with the clippers. She did apologize and offered a band aid... Still paid for the service in full. I've never had a soak off like this, it was file after file hardly any soaking in the solution and the nail tech also tried to rip off my acrylic nail that was lifting, and I expressed that it was painful the 3 times she attempted to rip off the nail. New ownership? I don't know. But I've come here for years. Not after today though. Increase on price for Nexgen. The nail technician that I trust is suddenly gone. And they are charging extra for ROUND nail shaping? Seriously? The person doing my basic color change was painfully slow. It took an hour and 45 min for basic nails. And they don't even look that great. So disappointed. And I hate shady practices like conveniently failing to disclose to your client there's an extra charge for filing your nails anything other than square. I won't be returning. read more

If I could give a 0 star I would. I experienced mediocre service on a couple of levels. 1. After giving one of the nail ladies multiple directions on the color I wanted, she still gave me the wrong color. I decided to let it go because it was exhausting me. 2. Towards the end of my N manicure, she lady cut me (like an open gash) and kept filing the area after I winced in pain. After she walked off, I noticed bleeding and how deep the gash was. It took her a long time to come see my gash. When she finally evaluated the gash, she said sorry but then continued to use her nail to pick in the gash. I had to yank my hand away from her to stop. She then took an oil with cucumbers in it (weird) and then just rubbed it on my hands. Cuts require cleaning and antiseptic before anything. We finally get another lady (Hannah) and she put nail glue on it ‍. At the end of this incident, they did not accommodate my manicure as the should and being a black woman with the fear of the them overreacting to simple confrontation, I decided to take all of their mints as payment. Now off to urgent care I go. Will be making a call to the health department on Monday, so the staff can brush up on their emergency care/cleanliness skills enjoy! I went to this place last week. The lady that did my finger nails was adding too many layers of the color I decided to wear, I knew something was wrong but it seemed like she was trying really hard to fix her mistake. I was so relax and at the end when I checked my nails, she started to talk to me, covering my nails and saying: "you're pretty, you're young". That was weird! When I left the place I saw my nails in the sun, so I went back and talked to the lady at the front desk (the owner, I guess) and she apologized, but when she called the lady that did my nails, she didn't apologize -I don't understand her language but I can tell she was saying I was exaggerating and doing offensive expressions towards me- The guy that fixed my nails was nice and the owner too. Went to get a pedicure, payed extra callous removal and the nail tech did an awful job. I told her before she was finished did you even apply the callous removal? Had to ask for more buffing, and still left as if she did nothing but paint my toes, which by the way are chipping off. It's been a very long time since my last pedicure. My experience today was wonderful. Let me lead off with cleanliness factor. The spa chair water basins are lined with what looks like a large shower cap to ensure only your tootsies are experiencing the space. Equipment was individually packaged, again only my toes used. Presuming these are shipped out for cleaning, sterilizing, repackaging. Four big screen televisions are on. Massage chair was glorious. My back is still pulsing from it. There are a multitude of pedi options. Citrus, floral, sea salt just to name a few. I went with the sea salt scrub. Did not regret anything. Kelly caught one toenail that was becoming ingrown. The decor is definitely Ritz spa style. Chandeliers, marble tile flooring, high ceilings. I will definitely be budgeting in future visits. read more
