I had a very unpleasant and painful experience here almost three months ago. I clearly told the nail tech not to cut too much, I tell every nail tech the same thing, because my cuticles are thin and I bleed easily. He ended up cutting too much, exactly the opposite of what I told him. He then claimed I had an ingrown toenail and cut my skin, causing it to bleed. What he didn't know was that I don't get ingrown nails because I had surgery on my big toes when I was a teenager for ingrown nails. What concerned me most was how the bleeding was handled - the methods used were unsanitary and unsafe. He used a liquid from a bottle and placed the tip of the bottle directly onto my open cut to stop the bleeding, three times. This is the same bottle he uses on every customer to stop the bleeding, placing the tip directly on my cut instead of allowing it to drip on the wound or pouring on a cotton pad. This experience left me uncomfortable and worried about infection. I will not be returning and would caution others to speak up or choose a different place. I spoke to a manager at the end of my appointment and it did not look like she cared. I got 20% off my pedicure and was told she would follow-up with me to ensure I was okay but I never heard from anyone. It took almost six weeks for my cut to fully heal and I am so traumatized, I still have not received another pedicure. I do not recommend Johnnie or this establishment. FYI - soooo many positive reviews on google because they have a sign at the register that says if you leave us a 5 star review you will receive 100 points (I think 200 points = $10 off service or something similar) read more

Made an appointment because I heard they get busy. Gives luxury and care when you walk in. Enjoyed the variety of music as well. The lady who did my pedicure was very nice and she did a great job. Since I had an appointment for both a fill and pedicure, I expected both to be done at the same time. This is how it's usually done and I saw them doing the same for others. Others walked in and were getting their nails done and I was just waiting - with an appointment. Now these people came in AFTER me. I did say something - politely - to inquire when someone was going to start on my nails. I had already been here for an hour. They were running behind, which I understood and I'm working o my patience. Erik started on my nails and he did a great job. He was great and made sure I was happy with everything from the shape to the color. read more

I used to go to Oscar for years and would generally get good service, but it started declining a few years ago or so and I stopped getting my nails done all together. I was sick of the disappointment after spending $80 plus on a pedicure and coming out with rough heels and patchy gel polish and spending $60 plus for dip and my nails coming out lumpy and wavy. Well today after not having my nails done at all, anywhere for a year or so, I decided to pop in and give them another try... mistake! The nail tech rushed like a mad woman, she started my service as she handed me the bucket of colors to look at, sliced up my fingers with not only the drill, but the file during the shaping, she kept twisting my thumbs backwards to file the nail and it was hurting (I have arthritis in my thumbs) and they don't bend that way!!! I'd asked for a manicure with my service and all she did was trim my cuticles... nothing else. Then the final result was wavy, uneven, lumpy, sloppy looking, patchy dip powder nails with sliced up fingers around my nail bed. I'm going to another salon tomorrow to see if they can smooth them out to make them look like a professional actually did them. Unfortunately, I do not recommend. I gave two stars because the front desk lady was nice, but I should be able to except nice and good service. read more

UNPROFESSIONAL. INCONSIDERATE. RACIAL SLURS SCREENSHOTS BELOW I have been going to Maria/Teresea for awhile. Talented nail tech but extremely unprofessional. Cancels the appointments when you are already at the shop , never is prepared even when you send the sets previously before and completely does not care about her clients time. Just some tips - Maybe your clients shouldn't follow your personal page if you plan to be so inconsistent. Please for the love of God refrain from the cursing and using racial slurs around people of actual African descent. It wasn't the hard r it was with an s MULTIPLE times. That's who you employ Oscar Nail. After dealing with her being a serial shop jumper and being home based. Meaning you can schedule an appointment while she's at home and within the same week have to reschedule with a shop which is super inconvenient but this was the last straw. I text Maria for an appointment she books it. I follow up with her to let her know hey I have other appointments if that won't work I can come at 3 or 4 pm. I actually care about TIME and giving whoever is servicing me enough of it ! She responds I booked it for 3. That means 3pm right since she quote responded to I can come at 3pm or 4pm. Just to wait the day before to tell me she meant as in booked the appointment for 3 hours not that she actually rebooked it. Miscommunication right ? Okay well can I just change it she tells me she doesn't have time "for all the mind changing". You are the one always running 30 mins to an HOUR behind... the audacity ! I am always on time and I always send her screenshots of the sets I would like DAYS if not WEEKS in advance. So she can look at them tell me if she has the supplies or can even execute them. Do you think that's ever done. How many times have I made an appt and when I get there she doesn't have the tips ? I get the same shape and tips every time. How many times do I get there when she has my Instagram phone number etc and she doesn't have the color and tools to even do it ? I've even gone so far as to send nail tutorials for one set. Do you think she bothered to have the supplies when I got there to do it ? No !! That was of course after rescheduling me after I got there because she didn't have the tips. The only tool she needed was a paper clip that I gave her and she lost. Couldn't manage it. But then express frustration about freestyling. I don't want to be here either. I've literally been sitting outside the shop 30 - 45 minutes before my appointment and get cancelled when she's had every opportunity to tell me all day she wasn't working. I've never left a bad review but today the attitude was disgusting and uncalled for. If she wasn't so nasty I wouldn't have left one because she seems to have an issue with staying in one place permanently per her previous salon(S) for attendance. Shocker right ? The reason for the scheduling issues. Which I would prefer you just be honest and say you have something to do then squandering clients time so I could book elsewhere or with someone that wants to work. We dont have to spend money with people who can't be professional and respect our time just as they request. Like I said screenshots below. No reason to lie. read more

The lady who did my pedicure did a great job but I probably wouldn't come back due to the fact that I felt that some of the staff came off rude. I would rather not get side eyed while I am getting my service done. Also it's just way too overpriced, I'm used to paying an extra $10-$15 for gel on my toes but $20 is reaching it. read more

Jen and Helen did an amazing job! This place is busy, I came at 10:45 on a Friday morning there wasn't a wait but they had most chairs filled. They know what they're doing, the hosts were friendly and although it's a little pricier than others I would say it's right in the middle. I got a full set with gel on my nails & toes it was $150. My nails are straight and look great. Helen took her time with my pedicure and my feet looks great! read more

I've been coming to Oscar's off and on for about a year and a half. I love that it gives a luxury vibe but please note that you will be paying luxury prices. They can literally do any design that you show them which is extremely impressive. I've had the best pedicures that I've ever had in life at Oscars, the leg/foot massages are top tier. I recommend making an appointment to ensure that you can get your nails done at the time/date that you want. read more

I had to give this place 3 solid tries before making a review and overall I'm very pleased ! It is a very spacious and clean and everyone I encountered has been very kind. Each nail style I have presented has been executed exactly how I wanted them! Kassi does an amazing job!!! I got a pedicure for the first time today and of all the places I have tried in the DFW area this has been by far my best experience. I would recommend this nail salon to anyone that asks. waited over an hour for eyebrows and still end up not getting them done when the lady told me it would be 5 minutes!!! The nice young girl in the front was kind enough after 30 minutes of waiting and realizing I was sitting there to ask if I needed any refreshments. I sat Over a hour with a sleeping baby in my hands and didn not get acknowledgment!
