This is my favorite local coffee shop! I always order an iced vanilla chai with almond milk and one less scoop of chai, it's amazing (I am very picky about my chais lol) !! I almost always order that with the cross ant or the smokin ham panini with avocado! Highly recommend and almost everyone is very nice and willing to change your order if you feel it isn't right. The inside is so spacious and they have plugs in most spots for charging which is nice for doing work if you want a change of scenery from home. Couldn't recommend this place enough!! read more

Oh wow!! I absolutely love love tin cup! Best coffee, and not just cool designs but earthy rich aroma coffee that every sip makes you feel like it's Christmas and by the fire. One of my favorite is the chicken pesto panini!! Oh and if you have a sweet tooth!!! Oh baby, their cinnamon rolls have the best homemade frosting and are a very generous size. No parking in the giant parking lot, but hardly anyone inside. Who are all the people parking here? Watched lots of people circle the parking lot and leave. That's all lost business. This was a big surprise in the middle of Central California. Shafter is a charming but small, older town. Fred Starrh, who is known locally as a successful farmer and whose family has been growing almonds for generations, decided to follow a passion that he has had for years. Gifted in music, Starrh decided to open The Ford Theater and Tin Cup Coffee. He bought and renovated a (formerly) Ford dealership creating a very modern, hip hang out with an art and music center for Shafter and its surrounding community which he loves so much. Who knew there is actually a super cute, super yummy coffee shop in Shafter now?! I'm so sad that I just now found it and we are leaving in a few days. We got americanos, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and biscuits and gravy and it was all delish! I was in pregnant girl heaven haha. The best coffee shop I've been to!! The girls that helped me were so friendly :) I'm not from this area, just stopped by for a business matter, so I was going to get coffee from Starbucks but decided to see if the town had any nice local coffee shops. Saw this place on the map and decided to check it out. My usual order at any shop is a white mocha, but today I got their toasted marshmallow white mocha with oat milk and whipped cream. It was so good, and so worth the price. A medium coffee where I'm from would've cost me about $7-8, here it was just above $5 (of course price just depends on where you are but it was still a nice perk). I went by later again and ordered their acai bowl, which was also really nice. The granola wasn't as crunchy as i like, but that's more just a personal preference. The only thing was i got coconut shreds on top when i asked for it without, but it's only a preference for me- if you place an order to go and absolutely don't want a certain topping make sure to just double check before leaving! I didn't mind it with it though, it was still good. Overall I think this is such an awesome shop (not to mention they have a really nice bathroom), and I SO wish they had it back in my town. read more

Love the decor from shiplap to corrugated metal, wood, and all of the farm equipment converted into tables and seating. If I was only going to build my own farmhouse pretty good ideas here. Smoothies + tea are finely priced, but seem like an afterthought to the coffee. FOOD: Their salads, sandwiches, sides, and pastries always taste freshly made, though the food itself (i.e. ingredients) can taste pre-made -- especially the veggies in their salads. Prices are reasonable for the quality. If you're in Shafter and not in the mood for tacos or burgers, Tin Cup makes a reliable lunch. OVERALL: Considering the diversity of restaurant and coffee bar options in Shafter (low), Tin Cup gets a relative 4/5.
