I was visiting the town and this time we went inside to eat. It was around noon and it was packed all the tables. But no line to order so we checked at the menu on the wall and choose what we want but at the time we reach the cashier and make our order she informed us that the wall menu it wasn't updated that they remove so many items from the menu and coincidentally was the item we want to ordered. So now they don't have anymore the vegetarian options bagel that it was really good. Also they remove a Monique coffee that I used to buy too. So we need to change our options. And the mango smoothie was a disappointment because it wasn't made with real fruit it was just a syrup with ice. Also when they serve our food they didn't let us know that the drink we have to pick it up they don't deliver to the table and also no napkins.

I work out in the gray area between Bakersfield and Shafter and there aren't many options for lunch. When Tin Cup Coffee opened on Lerdo Hwy. I thought it was a nice addition to the area considering there isn't much like it nearby. I started coming here years ago after they first opened and found they are so much more than just a coffee shop. They a good breakfast selection and their lunch options were a pleasant surprise. So years later I realized I have never given them a review. Today I called in an order and got the Santa Fe chicken salad which was delish! The only warning I have is that it comes with a spicy chipotle ranch which is definitely a spicy kick. I personally love it but those that are sensitive to spicy may want to change their dressing to one of their other options. Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful and the establishment is always super clean. And I always get an iced tea because it tastes fresh everytime! My personal favorite is the peach iced tea. If you like soup they have a daily schedule and some of their soups sell out quickly so put your order in early. I haven't had their soup for awhile but I know their loaded potato and chili always go quickly from past ordering. And can't forget about their coffee selections, hot or iced, always good.

Light relaxing music in the background. Very rustic/ industrial decor. You order at the counter and food is delivered table side. Very Friendly staff and my food came out quickly. I ordered the Cobb salad it was excellent! Freshly made ranch dressing. Generous portions of bacon lardons instead of small bacon bits. Delicious bleu cheese, lightly roasted chicken breast, boiled egg with crunchy fresh lettuce. I'll definitely be back.

Oh my gosh!!! This place is so cute!!! It's giving I'm in a country movie vibe!!! It was Thursday so they had the special tomato soup. The location itself is super cute but as the food it was okay. The matcha tasted a little off and the tomato soup was ehh, if that makes sense. The service was super fast because I was the only one in there.

Have not spent much time in Shafter, but work does take me there. I was happy to find this gem! This place is huge! It had lots of seating and is a great place to meet fiends for coffee, and breakfast or enjoy some great lunch! I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the people working were so nice! The girl who took my order suggest the turkey wrap and suggest adding chipotle aioli it was delicious! Will be back for more coffee and food!

I have been to Tin Cup before in the drive-thru, but this weekend I decided to come here for a sit down lunch and explore the menu a little more. Its a short, but pleasant, drive from Bakersfield and really easy to find! The restaurant was fairly large and very well maintained. They have a surprisingly extensive menu for being a "coffee" place! The staff were all absolute sweethearts and were very patient with us when we took a long time to place our order.. bless their hearts for *very patiently* waiting on my indecisive 13 year old and 3 year old to each finally decide what they wanted to eat lol My littlest kiddo was sad to learn that the mac and cheese was discontinued, but she was happy to try the strawberry cronut! (Again, we hadn't been here for food before, but I looked ahead at the menu and mentioned to her that they had mac n cheese lol... my mistake! Moral of this story -- don't mention the mac and cheese to your kids lol.) I have a nut allergy, but I really wanted to try the Berry Salad. The staff assured me that all menu items are made to order so it would be no problem for them to make my salad without nuts! I liked that they were so knowledgeable about the items on the menu and were able to help me ensure I didn't accidently ingest any nuts. The drinks that my kids got were delicious! Mine was not my favorite, but that was my own fault for ordering sugar free AND coconut milk. Don't let this deter you, because all of the other drinks were GLORIOUS lol

This is loaded biscuits and gravy with an extra helping of scrambled eggs. Not even close. Barely any gravy.

Very skimpy on portions. Loaded biscuits and gravy should be swimming with gravy. Loaded is supposed to have biscuit, hash brown, bacon bits and egg. I paid for an extra egg. Did not get the egg or the hash brown. I do not eat the biscuit so you can imagine how crappy breakfast was. Upside down macchiato extra hot. Barely 3/4 full. Was shocked at how light the cup was. Trying to support local business, but the quality has to be worth the extra money.

I ordered a keto breakfast bowl and a drink after seeing an ad for them on Facebook. The keto breakfast bowl comes with two types of protein, and I specifically requested bacon only because I didn't feel like having a second one. My order came out nothing like what's pictured. The eggs are burnt on the bottom and overcooked, the bacon is obviously bacon crumbles intended for a Cobb salad instead of actual bacon. And not only that, the bacon was piled on this thing about a half an inch deep. I like bacon when it's breakfast style, not thrown on top of eggs to hide the fact that they're burnt. Also, in less than a five minute drive back to my job site, my food is cold enough that I had to microwave it. And instead of being served in a bowl, like pictured, it's in a plastic to go container that doesn't keep any heat. This is awful and I paid for it. The quality of food here has been on the decline for quite some time, and I'm really sad to see that the Tin Cup that I knew and appreciated is no more.

Shafter is a small farming town. Although there are other places to get lunch but Tin Cup looked interesting. There were only a few choices on the menu but the soup and sandwich was pretty good. With lunch we can get a $1 coffee. What was interesting was the building. It had a corner band stage, meeting room in the back. Restroom was very nice. It really looked like originally build for some other purpose. read more

I drove to Shafter JUST to try this place out, it looks very neat and clean from outside. The first time I tried this tried their matcha which I was not much of a fan as it tasted like plain milk. The second time, I had a bagel with sprouts, avocado and crème cheese and it was pretty good, I would say I'd add bacon next time but it was very yummy. I also tried their chai tea and I fell in love with it. I have not gone back to Starbucks chai ever since, it honestly changed my life . The service was good as well :-) Overall very happy with outcome and breakfast experience!! The only sad part is that they do not open in sundays :/ read more

I wanted to love this place so bad. The drinks & food are REALLY good! And the space is nice and comfortable. What makes me hesitant to come here again is the staff and customer service. The first time a burrito was made wrong and no one offered to remake it. To find out it was because they ran out of ingredients but instead of asking if a substitution was fine, they made it just without that ingredient even though I had paid extra to even add that meat to the burrito in the first place. They didn't reimburse me even when I asked. I contacted them via their "contact us" on their website and I never got a response. The second time they had made my first drink and my food but I was waiting on a second drink. I ended up waiting over 10 minutes because the baristas prioritized another staff members order. There was no one else in the shop... I get it. It's fine. Today we pulled up to the drive through (that closed at 2pm), we got there at 1:20. There was an automated message telling us the place was closed. We parked & went inside. No one greeted us. We waited by the cash wrap for a few minutes. A barista was making a drink in front of us but didn't look up. Another barista was using the tablet and was right in front of us but never once said hi or that someone would be with us. Just ignored us. Finally another barista came up and said "hi, do we need an order taken?" Because she saw we weren't being helped. I understand when it's busy but the last 2 times it was dead. I would rather support local businesses but it sucks when they have bad customer service. read more

The food and drinks are really good, but the wait time in the drive thru takes forever. Even if it's just a drink. If there's more than 2 cars in the drive thru I just keep driving by. Shouldn't take over 5 minutes for a drink when I'm the only person in the drive thru. read more

If I could give this place a 20/10 I would, if I could give them a 50/10 I would. IF I COULD GIVE THEM THEM A 100000/10 I WOULD. This place is absolutely the best coffee shop I've ever been to. The service is outstanding, the staff is amazing, the coffee most importantly, is the best I've ever had. Although their hours are a bit confusing, this place is great. The food is good, the employees are friendly but the service time absolutely sucks. I placed a mobile order arrive a bit early so I understand I need to wait. Someone came to order in after me there was no one else in the dining area or ordering and somehow I received my order after those that had just ordered. This is not the only time I've had an issue with service time another instance I went through drive thru and waited a whole 30 min before my order was ready being the only car in drive thru.I avoid coming here before work for a cup of coffee even though it's my favorite because I will also be late as I can't come in earlier because their closed and I prefer to stop and get it somewhere else within 5 mins read more

What a surprising find! We had a quick stop to make in Shafter when we found this gem of a coffee shop. They have great sandwiches and amazing pastries. We didn't get a chance to try and of the hot drinks. Service was very friendly and the atmosphere is awesome. What a great place! We shared a panini and a pulled pork sandwich. Both were outstanding. This is the kind of place that could flourish in any community. read more

Clerk at Floyd's Shafter recommended Tin Cup for a nice meal. Ordered biscuits and gravy was told they were out. So lady behind the counter recommended the teriyaki bowl which is the special for Monday. Let me tell you there is nothing special about it. Rice is placed in bowl with a scoop very mushy. Very little chicken or vegetables for 10.95. I do not recommend these restaurant. read more

Can't come to Shafter without visiting Tin Cup. Always friendly service and great goodies to choose from to enjoy with their outstanding coffee. The lemon bar on this visit was almost as big as my cell phone, and quite yummy. See ya next trip, and keep the java flowing, Tin Cup! read more

Got an acai bowl and it was one of the best I've ever had! The bathrooms are super nice and clean. The entire place is HUGE. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking (can also fit big RVs). Would definitely recommend stopping here. read more

Drinks and food are AMAZING, but expensive. I've loved everything I've ever ordered from here. However, the service is SLOWWWWWW. I did an online order for the first time because of this and it was an extra 30 mins after the scheduled time. They did give me a free drink for the long wait, but if you don't have time to wait I wouldn't order food. The slow service is why I only come here every so often. read more

So I'll lay down the likely scenario for you.... You're in Shafter because you got a speeding ticket on the 5. It's a Friday, about 830 am, and you decided to see a judge at 1030 to get some leniency on your ticket. Yes, I'm slightly psychic. I suggest while you have some time to kill that you go here. Great coffee, great service, and awesome clean interior. Even the bathrooms are cool. You can get caught up on some much work or reading. read more

2nd time: Service continues to be awesome! Ordered the Pesto Change-O Caprese Panini Oh my... Yumm! Sourdough bread, mozzarella, pesto, tomato, spinach. Deliciously put together, bread perfectly toasted, mozzarella was melted to perfection. I know, I know, I'm using "perfect" too much. But it really is just absolutely delicious! I lightly sprinkled the Kettle chips with some Tapatío Chile sauce! Bomb.com Had the raspberry tea again with green tea base. Still great but this time they were the ones who filled it for me. First let me say that I really like this place and the family that own it. The menu is unique and the drinks are delicious BUT the desserts are yummy! The customer service is awesome. I have often sat inside on a friday and completed my work. Free WIFI. The inside has the cutest barn decor. I usually do drive thru and there is usually a 10 minute wait. The online ordering process is working but being updated to include drinks. I recommend the lemon bars which usually sell out. For breakfast I like the Rise and Dine for breakfast and the pesto caprese panini for lunch. Please remember they close early 5pm. read more

This place is a gem hiding in the ...I had the most delicious Caesar Salad I have ever had in my life here--fresh, good quality cheese, wonderful dressing...my mouth is watering now thinking about it. And I'm not even a "salad person". Likewise, the coffee was superb. If you go here, you will never go to Starbs again. I took off one star because the server was inattentive and got our order wrong. Also, the vibe doesn't exactly feel welcoming for ppl of color. read more

First impression was really good. Kind of a hipster vibe. Decor was really nice and varied seating options. Only gave four stars because I ordered a low carb option of one of their meals by not ordering bread, and most places will give you a little extra of the filler in the sandwich, but they did not. Not a huge offense, but it would be nice if they made it worth your while when you go that route. Food was tasty, hot and was brought out promptly. Coffee was good, medium roast and hot. I would recommend this place, especially since it is such a small town, having a nice option like this was cool. read more

Shafter is stepping it up. It is great to see local inspiring businesses being created ! Tin cup is a great place to escape life for a bit and enjoy a cup of coffee alone or with a friend or a loved one . Also great for a quick break away from the office . They even have a drive through!! read more
