They had me at five words, "Bear Claw filled with Apples."!! And don't even get me started about their Breakfast Sandwiches. They are very generous with the Egg and Sausage and/or Bacon Counter staff is very knowledgeable about the food selections AND about all the "things to do" in Shafter. We enjoyed their cozy inside dining area, and we also took some of their tasty sandwiches across the street for some al fresco dining at Stringham Park. read more

Super friendly service and Staff. Everyone's always in a positive mood, which is great, especially when you don't wanna be up early in the morning. The donuts are always fresh and never overcooked. And they have lots of different donuts to choose from and sometimes it's seasonal they also offer delicious Sandwiches as well as iced coffee. Location is always clean and always freshly restocked. Solid lil mom and pop donut shop. We stopped by for breakfast on a road trip and the donuts were just the pick me up we needed. Good variety - all the way from plain old fashioned up to ornate with icing and fresh strawberries . Super reasonably priced, even the fancy ones (which are sooo cute - loved my unicorn!). The donuts were fluffy and maybe a lil on the sweet side but honestly who can be mad about an uber sweet donut? The people working were friendly and helpful. Covid protocols felt good. This place is Great! Had to pick up mail at PO across the street and wandered over to check it out.... Really great -if a little pricey- donuts and amazing selection. They're hiring a baker btw if u know someone. Had an apple fritter, wife had a lemon filled. We also got breakfast croissants which were really good and worth the small wait. The counter server was on her first day, having been there I was happy to help her figure out what was what amongst the large and varied selection. Came in to 4 customers ahead of us, when leaving there were about 10 in line. Will definitely return. read more

Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture. It was super cute in there. It's a small town to be expected. The service was great. The young lady behind the counter answered my questions and recommended this coconut bread which was amazing not super sweet super moist & not too thick or dense just perfect. Having had it's donuts from meetings, I stopped in to see the place for myself. It's awesome. People are there having breakfast and enjoying the spot when I arrive. Good sign. I see the options: cake and yeast donuts, empanadas, Mexican pastries, and even drinks with boba. Ah! Another good sign. I order a dozen assortment for $10.99, letting the staff pick, and go on my way. When I get back, I grab the cruller and it was delicious. Soft and tasty and reminding me how unique crullers are. Amazing doughnut shop in shafter, the owner is super nice and the staff as well. Their bobas are good and their doughnuts are ALWAYS fresh unlike the other shops i been to,they make them till they run out which they always do they are that good and the town knows it! Shafter Donuts is really yummy. What makes them so good is that unlike the air donuts that you may find in Bakersfield, the donuts are thick. Many of the donut fillings are excellent as well. My favs are filled with fruit flavors. They must do something special. Bring cash. No debit or credit cards accepted. read more
