Decided to stop by on a whim after some shopping and I am so glad I did. I think I found my go to donut shop. I got a ham, egg, cheese croissant with avocado and jalapeños and it was delicious. The woman who served us was also so sweet, I will definitely be coming back! read more

Who doesn't love a good Fosters Donuts? I know I do! Was traveling to Bakersfield for work and wanted to grab a quick breakfast bite for me and then my clients. Donuts are the universal cheap happy bite for most people so I spotted this location as I was on my route. Easy access: located on the corner of a shopping mall with clear signage it was easy to spot in time to turn in. Plenty of parking spaces and wasn't busy on a late Friday morning. I was impressed that even though it was already 10:30am they still had a pretty good selection of donuts available. There were tray upon trays of donuts and they had a couple of cooler fridges with easy access drinks. The service here was friendly and efficient. Also they had a good amount of boba and coffee drinks that you could order, so good to know this donut shop has a little more then most. I stuck to my trusty maple bar and it was tasty. Still fresh and light pillowy bites. Definitely a no frills donut shop but hits the spot when your craving one. read more

Love this place! It's run by a local family, and it's very close to where we live. Their donuts are very yummy, and we also love their blended coffees. Usually, the same young gal waits on us, and is always friendly. I walked in this morning at 10:00, assuming that there'd be a decent amount of donuts. There were maybe 9, scattered among a measley 4 styles, none of which were what I was looking for. I left empty handed and someting occured to me. I've been coming here since the 1980's but Foster's has long since become a shadow of what it once was. The cases used to be packed with all sorts of items. And I remember the generous way they were made. For instance, the chocolate and maple bars and rounds veritably strained under the weight of the icing. This made Foster's unique and gave them value. Now, they're just another mediocre shop among a plethora of other mediocre shops, but with few items to choose from. So there's no real draw to the place. It's rather sad. The staff is friendly, which is great. They just don't really have anything to offer me anymore. read more

Got end of the school year donuts to celebrate with my class and ordered a bacon, egg and cheese croissant sandwich for myself. I was told the sandwich would take 5 minutes. I had plenty of time, so I went ahead with it. My donut order was filled with a mixture of all their fresh, slightly crispy treats. Yum! I waited off to the side for my sandwich. One of the young ladies brought my sandwich to me. It was huge! I was starved and excited to dig in. The first bite of that sandwich was amazing! The egg yolk was just a touch runny and mingled so well with all the fattening goodness of the bacon, cheese and croissant. I scarfed the first half while driving to work. I have reviewed Foster's Donuts before. Things have changed at this location and not for the better. Looks like new employees are there. I inquired about Kim, the owner, and rude girl at counter just said "retired". Since Kim has "retired" this place has gone downhill with their products and customer service. During my single guy days, I was a regular at this Fosters Donut location. There used to be an arcade beside them which I frequented every week. Have never had a bad donut here no matter what time of the day. Although I hardly ever patronize the place anymore, I would not hesitate to stop by. We stopped in to try this Fosters Donuts location because the Fosters on White Lane carries my favorite donut - the desert flower - and this location is more convenient. We didn't end up buying one on this visit (the desert flower is more of a commitment than your average donut) but we did enjoy the donuts we purchased. The glazed donut was light and fluffy with a sweet glaze that held up pretty well without flaking all over us in the car. The chocolate frosted bar was also pretty tasty, with just enough frosting so that there was some for each and every bite.. This donut store isn't fancy, but the donuts they sell are pretty decent quality. I'd definitely stop in to satisfy my sweet tooth whenever I'm shopping down on Ming Ave. read more

This location should be ashamed to be associated with the name Fosters. The donuts tasted terrible, despite us arriving by 730 am. Low selection and the place looked closed from the inside. No lights were on inside or in the windows. The worker behind the counter did NOT wear gloves or a face mask. In this new Social distancing world you need to show people you're concerned with safety and sanitation. Even if you don't believe in wearing masks and gloves you need to show respect that you care about health and safety. There was no restriction to how many people could be inside the tiny shop at a time. Please re train all your employees with the updated preventative measures or you're going to lose a lot of business. Would give zero stars if possible. As I was turning to leave, in walked an obviously homeless young man, who asked the gal behind the counter (owner, I think?) for a glass of water. Just a simple glass of water.
