Carlos Espinoza is a true find in the tiling world. He is talented, efficient and meticulous. He helped us make some crucial decisions regarding our design that were spot on. He showed up and showed up until the job was done and perfect. Quality and honest craftsmanship. We will be using him for the kitchen reno soon to come. read more

Pros Most of the new grout and caulk was completed Cons He said he'd do phase 1 one day and phase 2 (waterproofing) a few days later. He left in the middle of day one. Finished phase 1 the next day. Then when he said phase 2 was done, he missed a portion of the caulk and needed to come back a fourth day. Three of those days I changed my work schedule for his schedule. I had to finish the caulking job myself because he said his quote didn't include some basic areas of mold. Once I bought the clear caulk, I finished the job myself in about 30 minutes. Pretty basic for a professional but he didn't seem super interested in making sure I was satisfied. read more

Carlos completed several tile jobs for us including a kitchen backsplash, master shower, and master sink backsplash. He also repaired sections of floor tiles in the closet and around the kitchen cabinets. In the master shower, he installed large 24 X 48 wall tiles, a curb-less pebble shower floor, a floating bench and a shampoo niche. All of the projects look amazing. Happy customer. Carlos does really great work at fair prices. He takes pride in his work. He's meticulous, professional, and respectful. If you need tile work Carlos is your guy. read more

We had a kitchen tile that made noise when you stepped on a corner. We hired Carlos to come repair and he was able to remove the old grout, add fast drying epoxy adhesive, then re-grout which fixed the issue. We choose a grout to match the original color knowing it will eventually get dirty and match the old grout color . Carlos was communicative, punctual, and did a great job fixing the problem! read more

I contacted Carlos a little over a week ago due to some "tenting" in my downstairs flooring. I asked if he were able to repair it and he said yes. Based on his great reviews, professionalism, and friendly personality, I hired him as he was very responsive and came out right away. Despite a couple of bumps in the road (mostly outdated and unobtainable matching tile), Carlos more than met my expectations! I am loving the new design and custom tiling that he did to repair the buckled flooring and find a way to make non matching tile work. Job well done!!!! read more

I had tiles falling off the edge of the bathtub. He correctly identified that the cause was very shoddy choice of materials. He was prompt on the repair and worked through the problems he had on the day with his van being serviced. He's also a real nice guy and went the extra mile by regrouting around the bathtub. The work has survived the last month and I'm very pleased with both the quality and the price. read more

Carlos did one job well, but left some damage discovered later (two scratches on the acrylic tub surface). On the second job he totally missed the deadline. Like blew past it like it wasn't there. He took time off, arrived late and left early and refused help to even try meeting the deadline. For two days in a row at the beginning of the job he worked less than eight hours TOTAL for those two days. He washed a rubber duck down the drain and never had anyone come out to check that it washed down. He broke/mis-cut four accent tiles and blamed it on the tile(?). When he grouted the tiles he washed the texture off the walls causing the walls to need retexturing, further delaying the work. When he finished I told him that he would be paid after the drain was checked he lost any pretense of professionalism and started yelling inside the house about getting paid because the work was done in a very threatening manner. His e-mails and phone calls were all personal attacks and name calling. This after me giving him the work he asked me to give him. So disappointing. read more

We have had several jobs done by Carlos Outstanding work ,good communication keeps his appointment. If He's running late. He lets you know. We had some intricate tile work done around our front door and a special project regarding the ability to cut a pattern to fit where most people would not have been be able to do so! He has a very likable personality and is easy to work with ,don't miss the opportunity to do business with tiling San Diego. You won't regret it. Five star rating read more

Carlos did an amazing job. We have really crooked walls and Carlos told us he could make it look good. Knowing how squirly the walls were I tried to keep my OCD expectations tempered. I was blown away with how amazing it turned out!!!! All the grout lines were super even and straight even with an imperfect place to install. Definitely will hire him again when it's time for our bathrooms! read more

Great customer service and work! Very happy and satisfied with the tile work that Carlos did. Highly recommend him and his company.

I've been wanting to get my kitchen updated for years. Although I wasn't looking forward to the disruption (I have a very rambunctious poodle, ) Carlos helped make the process much more manageable. Not only is he a consummate professional, he is friendly, my dog loved him (which was a plus) and he worked at the speed of light! I couldn't believe how quickly my ugly yellow walls were transformed into the beautiful white/off white tile. I'm including pics of before the tile, but after countertop install. Then tile, but before cabinet painting, then cabinets done. We are still in the process of putting the floor and appliances in. I most certainly will have Carlos back for more projects. Emmett, my poodle, will love to have him back, as will I!! read more

I had an old cracked under mount sink that I wanted cut out and I had a kohler vessel sink I wanted to install on top of my sink. Several handymen and plumbers gave me bids, but it wasn't until Carlos came and looked at the situation that I knew I had found the right person for the job. His bid was fair and I could tell by the questions he asked that he had done this before. It was a perfect cut. Look at the pictures and you can see the old sink was tiled in meaning there was no way to remove it without cutting it and the tile out. I am so happy with the results. It is beautiful and so much more functional. Please see pictures read more

I don't write a lot of reviews on yelp as I am too busy, but I had to make sure I put the good word out there for Carlos and his crew from Tiling San Diego. They are true craftsman who treat their work as art and not just another home improvement project. These guys were friendly, did what they said they were going to do, cleaned up every day and took great care to deliver an AMAZING final product...in this case, my Master Shower. Carlos and Tiling San Diego will now be my "go-to" tiling guys for all my future work. Pricing was reasonable but more importantly, he didn't nickel and dime me or sneak in any hidden costs.
