I am happy to offer my strongest endorsement for Jorge and Fabian from Refined Tile Solutions! They worked on installing a new tile floor on the first floor of our house, including living room, kitchen, and bathroom areas. I found them exceptionally professional, transparent in their process, absolutely clear and honest in setting prices and deliverables, accurate in their time estimates, punctual, precise, and clean. Every day after they were done working, they would clean the whole place to leave it in sparkling shape despite having to continue work on the next day. Jorge even helped us with negotiating the tile price. Overall, they did an amazing job! Working with them was the best decision. TL; DR: Jorge and Fabian are honest cheerful masters of their craft. I am confident you will have a very hard time finding better people for your tile project. read more

George did excellent tile work, installed tile for my shower/ bath and bathroom walls. Also fair price

WE RECEIVED NO COMPENSATION FOR THIS REVIEW - just want to get this key fact out of the way since this is a rather glowing review. From first meeting/estimate through to the completion of our beautiful kitchen floor, working with Jorge was smooth, easy, no stress, no surprises and, dare we say, fun. Jorge embodies all the attributes we value in a craftsman. More specifically, Jorge has: * Great talent (skillful in setting tile, laying out the design, and providing advice); * Experience with large format tiles (ours were 2 feet by 4 feet); * Deep knowledge (he knows his trade well); * Integrity (stayed true to his estimate and the description of his approach to the job); * Good Communications Skills (he kept us informed along the way and was direct in explaining the "what's whys and how's of our job ); * Empathy for the Homeowner (arrived on time, kept to the schedule he provided, and worked diligently to get the job done); * Respect for the Workplace (was especially careful to mask and protect our appliances/cabinets, worked very cleanly); * Collaborative (he is patient with questions/suggestions and included us in the process) Jorge's bid was on-par with and, in one case, slightly more than the other quotes we received but we strongly feel Jorge delivered ample value for his price. Truly a case of you get what you pay for and paying a small premium for Jorge's work is well worth it. The ultimate compliment we could give Jorge would be to hire him again, and that's exactly what we're going to do as we begin remodeling our primary bathroom. read more

We were beyond thrilled with Jorge's work and professionalism! He communicated throughout the whole project and kept us in the loop at all times. I have nothing but good things to say about Jorge and the work that he does. He was timely, professional, communicative, cost effective and most of all his work speaks for itself. We hired Jorge this year for a bathroom renovation and he went above and beyond. We decided to go with Spanish Tile and he gave us recommendations for a local shop that had exactly what we were looking for after Floor & Decor had few options. At every step of the way he worked with us to get all of the small details right, and he even gave us recommendations to make the project even better. I cannot recommend Jorge enough! read more

George was recommended by SD Tile in Encinitas. He came out promptly and gave us a written estimate and time guideline. His work was superb and we are so pleased with the job. We highly recommend him; you won't be disappointed! read more

After searching for 6 weeks for a reliable tile professional and experiencing several disappointments, Jorge came to save the day. We contacted Jorge and he responded immediately. He came to give us an estimate the very next day and discussed thoroughly the work to be done. Jorge is very reliable and responsive. Though the job was small, he did not hesitate to include us in his schedule. He did an excellent job of laying the travertine in our bathroom and gladly answered our many questions. We would love to work with Jorge again in the future and highly recommend him. He is very professional in every way. read more

Jorge did an amazing job replacing our flooring and installing ceramic tile in our kitchen. We were provided with a list of approved installers from our tile supplier and Jorge was the only one who got back to me right away and was able to fit me in quickly. He is knowledgeable, helpful, and had much patience in answering all of my questions. I would recommend Jorge and Refined Tile Solutions without hesitation. read more

George was one of three contractors referred to me by SD Marble & Tile. He is the only one who communicated immediately with me the same day. He did an outstanding job tiling my three bathrooms, and will be doing a shower make-over later this year. - Prioritizes customer service - Professional - Extremely reliable - Great work ethic - Knowledgeable with over 20 years experience Highly recommend!! read more

I have high praise for the work of Jorge and his team. He just finished two of our bathrooms. His work exceeded our expectations, he communicated constantly about the status of his work, showed up on time and did an excellent job cleaning up every day. He replaced our old cast iron tub with a new one, and made it look easy! His work ethic is great and he is always cheerful and friendly. His prices are reasonable and he will help you to save money wherever you can while still delivering a quality product. I first saw his work when my son's bathroom was leaking into his garage. He had just bought this house and the bathrooms looked new with nice looking tile. However one of them was leaking into the garage ceiling. Jorge came to take a look and found that whoever had redone the bathrooms had not installed any water proofing under the showers. Jorge was able to redo both bathrooms completely using the tried and true hot asphalt mop and all proper water proofing. It will never leak! He also changed the master shower from one person to two person and routed all the plumbing, valves, and fixtures. Beautiful job. Before you hire a contractor, talk to their clients, if you can, go see their finished work first hand. This will help you to avoid those who don't do it right. Questions? DM me. I'll tell you about our experience. And, its money well spent to get the right contractor. read more

Earlier this year, we hired Refined Tile Solutions to remodel one of our upstairs bathrooms. Jorge not only completed the job within the promised two week period, he (and his team) did the work with reliability and dependability. Every day, after they finished, they were meticulous in cleaning up after themselves. The quality and precision of his work is excellent! Given his honest and calm approach to any and all challenges that came up, Jorge was a pleasure to work with. In addition, Jorge has a very good creative side and provided us valuable design feedback along the way. He works in all types of stone and tile. We strongly recommend Jorge and his team (for projects like bathroom remodels) at Refined Tile Solutions. read more

We hired George to do our kitchen backsplash and some dry wall repair after our kitchen counter renovation. We were impressed with his professionalism the entire time. He always texted us to make sure we knew what time he would arrive and the progress. He had a painter who did the touch up work after he completed his portion. We would definitely use George again! read more

We had a small job for George to do, and he worked hard to fit us in. He did a wonderful job in two small bathrooms where we had had some flooding. One of the rooms involved fitting together tiles that did not match the original discontinued size, and he did a masterful job. It looks amazing. He works neatly and quietly and wears a face covering. I wish I had another job for him to do. read more

I imagine that we all have been through remodeling projects that we would like to forget. This one which we are still finishing, has been like that; firing 2 contractors and spending almost a year on it. We had been recommended to hire Jorge (George) and the last month has been the best experience! We had stone work for the new addition outside of the house to put on, tile for our fireplace and a new bathroom also needing tile work. As the other 5 star reviews state, everything is what we experienced in working with Jorge and his team. Each of the 3 tile projects had issues from the prior contractors but Jorge and his team took time to come up with solutions, especially with the shower. We had to redo some work and Jorge gave us the best price possible. We could write much much more but again the other reviews are well written. We would do anything to recommend Refined Tile Solutions, they saved our sanity, our home and made it very special. Once we add some finishing items, we'll upload better pictures. THANK YOU SO MUCH Jorge!! read more

We had a project to tile our whole house, both floors. We checked around and got a few referrals. We ended up going with Refined Tile Solutions. Best decision we ever made!! From the beginning, George was courteous and professional. Something that is lacking in today's work force. Once we decided on a schedule, he started on time and communicated every day to let us know what was going on. Communication is Important to us and George kept us informed. They finished the job on schedule and the results were fantastic. George and crew of Refined Tile Solutions are as good as they come!!! read more

Awesome job exceeded my expectations! Jorge did an awesome job with the bathroom improvement, his suggestions and guidance on selecting the materials was of added value and cost savings. Jorge is such an amazing contractor to work with! He is professional and tidy and extremely communicative throughout the entire project which I so appreciated. There were no surprises at the end and we always knew what to expect each day. We also appreciated the fact that he introduced each and every worker that walked in our door so that it never felt like there was a stranger in our home. On top of all of this, his work is phenomenal. read more

Oh my gosh! It was so nice to have a positive and rewarding remodel project done by Jorge (George). In the past 20 years we've had a number of remodel projects done, some were a nightmare, but this one went smoothly from beginning to the end. It was nice to find someone who follows through on his promises. He was professional, timely and kept us informed on every aspect of the remodel. All his employees did great work and cleaned up after themselves. We painted, replaced all the appliances in the kitchen, replaced all the flooring and never had an issue. The tile work was all done beautifully especially the backsplash in the kitchen and the tile flooring. We would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to friends and family read more

We had a complete bathroom remodel, and these guys provided GREAT service. They had a specialist to handle every aspect of our remodel. Ex: electrician, plumber, painter, etc. Each of which was courteous, professional, and friendly. They were very punctual in their work schedule, and flexible when we had a delayed delivery of our shower doors. They made sure to protect our residence, and we were extremely satisfied with the entire process, but more importantly... with our new bathroom. read more

Jorge did an awesome job for us! We did a complete house remodel, Kitchen/Bath/Flooring even including new plumbing/electrical/roof and doors. Not only is he incredibly professional, but he really cares about your project as much as you do. He helped come up with some great ideas and stayed on budget. He has a great team working for him and he is very detail oriented. Always on time, always willing to go the extra mile. I cannot say enough about how pleased we are. We are planning on an addition in the near future. And Jorge will definitely be the one we will be working with! read more

Jorge Jimenez recently completed several projects in our home and we are delighted with the quality of his work. He did a great job installing subway tile in a herringbone pattern for our backsplash. He also installed the shower and floor tile for our bathroom remodel and had good suggestions to improve the design. He was great about texting or calling to let us know his schedule. He kept the work area organized and cleaned up after he was done. We would highly recommend him! read more

Jorge and crew are absolute professionals. I originally hired Jorge for small tile work at my condo. When I moved to a new house, I hired him to do our kitchen backsplash of travertine and custom mural with accents. His work then and attention to detail was excellent. So when our largest job came to redo the master bathroom, we of course had Jorge and crew at the top of our list. His quote was competitive and we already knew his work ethic. He does was he says and listens very attentively to the needs we outlined, giving his expert advise when he saw the chance, but also making sure he was doing what we wanted and that we were happy, or better, that we would love the outcome. He demo'd our bathroom and proceeded to install our marble steam shower. He went above and beyond because he didn't just replace in kind, he sloped the ceiling to allow the water to run off. He installed the marble on the entire fascia of the shower which was much better than the prior look, and now makes the shower really stand out. He installed two soap niches. Hot moped the shower pan, nice sloping incline to the drain. Jorge is not only good, he takes great pride in his craft and it shows with the finished product. In the same job, he redid the floors in three other bathrooms and our laundry room with a nice wood looking porcelain that we picked. He did such a good job, the people we show it too cannot tell it is porcelain and the wood looks exactly like our hardwood floors in the other part of the house. He even took note to ensure that all the layout was north/south for consistency with the existing hardwood. Jorge and crew were prompt daily, worked hard, and left a clean space everyday they left. The job took about 3 weeks which was more than it should because we had issues getting some materials in time, but they worked around these issues. And, Jorge was very good at coordinating with the plumber and electrician to ensure their work efforts overlapped and the jobs were done in the right sequence. I highly recommend you consider Jorge and crew for your next job, you will not be disappointed. Pictures of my work done by Jorge for me are shown in his list of images. read more

Jorge and his crew are professional and courteous. He always, goes the extra mile. We have worked with Jorge for the last several years, the last project was a master bed and bath extension. He crushed it!!! He also has access to premiere tiles selections and craftsman that are skilled in all areas!!! I would not start a project with out consulting with Jorge. read more

I highly recommend Jorge Jimenez of Mar-Stone Elite to family and friends! I recently bought a new home which required a full remodel. I was extremely overwhelmed with deciding the different types of flooring, tiles, colors, and sizes. Jorge Jimenez of Mar-Stone Elite was the best choice to lead many of my home projects. He shared his portfolio of past jobs to help me decide on selecting the right design. In addition, he referred me to several tile stores and other trades for great pricing. He installed tile to the entire 1st floor of my home; to include, the formal sitting area, family room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, bathrooms, and kitchen backsplash. He is professional, has great communication, and always returns calls promptly. Bottom line...Jorge Jimenez delivers quality work at a great price! read more
