He came highly recommended by my agent, who had recieved the recommendation from his tile guy. I also thought I did my due diligence by reviewing his Yelp feedback. Before the countertop work began, we needed a plumber and asked JP if he had someone. He sent his plumber. The plumber did not speak English, and while he was there we used Google Translate to bring the issues to his attention directly... but it did not work. Unfortunately, the work was unacceptable. The bathroom sink leaked immediately due to improper connections, the sink was installed crooked, the showerhead rod was damaged during installation, a screw was broken into the wall, the wrong type of sealant was used, and the handlebar popped out with minimal pressure (he used the wrong screws, only screwed in 1 instead of 3 and broke one screw in the tile wall) creating a serious safety concern. My agent and I called JP to address the situation. Before I was even able to explain the issues, he immediately stated the plumber was "not his guy," despite having sent him. The conversation quickly became unprofessional, with him yelling AT US and he ultimately hung up on us.... all his without us even stating what the issue was leading me to believe he already knew HIS GUY screwed up. I had to hire another plumber to correct the mistakes, which cost me twice as much, all after already paying JP for a shitty job. I would be very wary of working with someone who is willing to speak to a paying customer that way before even hearing their concerns. Based on this experience, I will not be moving forward with them for my countertop installation.

Late disclosure of major design/feasibility issues after finalization. 7. Refusal to perform integral components of the agreed design unless homeowner pays substantial additional sums ($15,000-$30,000). 8. They induced the agreement through false promises, including: Premium "custom kitchen" capabilities; Designer support "every step of the way"; 10-12 week timeline. We are coming up on 20+ weeks with the job currently on pause. 9. Secured agreement to a premium-priced custom kitchen, only to later unlawfully attempt to narrow the agreed scope by refusing to install high-end appliances. 10. Unjustified design charges for a layout that was negligently prepared and directly caused the purchase of a tub that could not fit, resulting in additional out-of-pocket losses. 11. They represented that a designer would assist "every step of the way." In reality, the designer was: Slow to act, at times unresponsive, and not meaningfully involved in decision-making. Was forced to repeatedly request and chase basic design support. 12. Promise of active, hands-on designer involvement was used to induce signing of the contract. They knew or should have known: The designer lacked availability and the level of service promised would not be provided. After contract execution, they minimized this by saying the designer was "busy" or "slow". 13. There is evidence of water intrusion from the ceiling causing potential property damage, which they failed to disclose and upon information and belief concealed despite having knowledge or reason to know of the condition. 14. Tackling through issues coming up, explaining situations on why more money is needed on a particular job , details plays a huge role for the two sides to understand why a particular solution is needed on a specific problem. There will be bumps along the way. Remcon and Simo were able to not only makes the bumps easier to cross, they educated our own knowledge about a house renovation, and led the charge in making us feel at peace along every step of the way. Once he started our job, we were his sole focus and he came every day with his team of guys he has known and worked with for many years. I had a major flood in my house from a pipe leak in the bathroom which required a total gutting and remodeling of my bathroom, new luxury plank flooring throughout the entire house, installation of 2 new French doors and then painting of the entire house. My bathroom is amazing - I turned a tub into a walk in shower and picked some challenging tiles to work with - 3 D for the shower and mosaic for the shower floor. The bathroom is gorgeous! Then it was on to removing the water damaged old wood flooring in the entire house and replacing it with LVP floors which looks fantastic. Other contractors told us we would have to move all our furniture and ourselves out for about a month at a significant cost to do this work but David said he would move our furniture from room allowing us to stay in our house. This was a lot of work for David and crew who carefully moved our furniture and "stuff" from room to room and putting everything back where it was originally. One of the most important things about David is his desire to please the customer. If you are not absolutely happy with something, he will work to make it perfect. His job satisfaction comes from the customer's happiness with the project. I cannot recommend David Gonzales enough and his professional and courteous crew.

Our house is a 1980's tract home we bought in 1993. For the 10 years prior to our remodel we hated our house. It was outdated and the flow didn't work. Our project completed in April 2019. I'm pretty sure every day since, one of us has said "I love our house." Our project included removing a wall to open our kitchen, replacing all of the indoor plumbing, replacing our windows, replacing all of our floors, gutting the kitchen, powder room, and master bathroom, redoing our bedroom closets, and interior paint. We lived through the remodel, which was an adventure, but JDR made it as tolerable as possible. We did not add any square footage, but everyone agrees our house feels bigger.
