Five stars for Juan and his team. They repainted our kitchen cabinets, and overall, I'm happy with the final result. The job took a little longer than originally estimated, but that was mainly because Juan took the extra time to get a precise match on the paint color, which turned out great and was appreciated. Throughout the process, Juan was thorough, easy to communicate with, and handled any minor issues that came up along the way without hassle. Solid work, professional crew, and the cabinets look good. read more

San Diego Kitchen Refinishing painted my medium size kitchen cupboards. This was the worst experience I've ever had with a Tradesperson. A job that was supposed to take 10 days took a month. Every excuse in the book was used. Among other things, when they brought the cupboard doors back, they were not completely dry, so the black fuzz from the blankets they used to protect the doors stuck to the paint. They had to be taken back and repainted. This is from someone who is supposed to be a professional painter. read more

My cabinets under my sink had a lot of water damage. Juan and his associate were able to assess the damage, give me a price, set the appointment and then restore my cabinets. read more

My cabinets came out wonderful. The team was quick and efficient. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I was looking to have my kitchen cabinets refinished and repainted. Juan came out to provide an estimate and suggested that I really only needed the lower cabinets and drawers done and that he could paint match to the upper cabinets. He gave me a project timeline of two weeks and that is exactly what it took. They are probably not the least expensive company, but my cabinets match perfectly and look brand new. This company is clean, professional, and customer focused. I would highly recommend them. read more

Amazing job! We had a table that we loved and was looking to have it refinished instead of purchasing a new one. Juan brought our table back to life as if it was brand new again! He even stained our chairs to match the table and tightened the chairs. The whole set looks like a brand new set! His work is on par! You won't be disappointed! read more

This is a response to the owner's response about expired warranty. The paint started chipping and peeling within one year after he refinished the closets. When I contacted him, for a long time, he did not reply. Only after I indicated I would share the experience on Yelp, he replied but give me excuses (he is sick, his employee is sick, then his daughternis sick) to delay it further multiple times. Then he claimed it is caused by water drippimg without checking the problem first. I have another contractor to check, the other contractor said the surface was not prepared properly. At the end, he found it is just over a year (13-14 months) and declined to fix it. The problem happened within 1 year but report got delayed due to various communications delays. For quality problems like this, a decent business will fix it even if it is slightly over 1 year. Nobody refresh their closets just for 1 year. read more

Wanting to update solid oak natural finish kitchen cabinets, I interviewed three painting contractors who specialized in kitchens. I was impressed with Juan Tinoco. He was clearly knowledgeable and seemed to pride himself on doing excellent work. He was and he did. His crew were respectful of my home, were good about staying in touch about when they would be working and the job they did is beautiful. Juan even offered to repair the damaged finish on a walnut buffet piece at no cost to me. He just felt it would "look better". I loved that about his attention to detail. When I found that one of the hinges had been damaged after the job was done, he immediately came and had it repaired. I couldn't be happier and have already referred him to a friend and I'm sure more work will be coming. I am most pleased with my decision! read more

Juan did a beautiful job refinishing our antique oak dining room table. He was able to get a perfect color match on leaves that had been dissimilarly finished in the past. His price was very reasonable. When he delivered the table back to us, he even touched up some nicks in our chairs for free. read more

I really wanted it done before Christmas and had planned on doing it myself but really don't have the space and don't know what I'm doing. Juan Got right back to me with a quote and let me know that he would get it done in the timeframe I wanted. And then... He got it done within a week. I was so impressed. The table is gorgeous and It was obvious that he takes pride in his work and also loves quality furniture! read more

San Diego Kitchen Refinishing is an expert cabinet refinishing company. Juan Tinoco, Wood Finisher, is a genuinely skilled stain refinisher and very customer oriented. We needed a single cabinet for our kitchen to replace a trash compactor that we had removed and that had left a "hole" in our cabinetry. Juan did a superb job matching the cabinet style and stain to our existing cabinets. Our new cabinet looks just like it's always been there. Juan kept in touch and completed the job on time. He and his crew were quiet and respectful of our home during the installation process. His price was very reasonable and especially for the five-star quality we received. We highly recommend San Diego Kitchen Refinishing and Juan Tinoco for cabinetry work. Elayne & Mitch S. read more

Juan Tinoco was great to work with and did an excellent job on refinishing our kitchen cabinets, as well as completely rebuilding our lower cabinets. We had some serious water damage on the wood front of our refrigerator. I called three or four other refinishers and after I send them pictures of the damage they said they couldn't help. Juan came out, took the damaged panel back to his shop, and made up an exact match. When his employee, Gita, came to install the new panel I asked him if he could do anything with the various nicks and chips in our other cabinets. He quickly mixed up a matching stain and fixed them so that they look new. It is nice to watch a craftsman who knows what he is doing. read more

We had our wood kitchen cabinets, made in 1999, refinished by Samuel. Working with him and his crew was good experience. He was able to work with our budget and come up with a plan that was good for both of us. His crew began work when he promised, worked quickly and efficiently. The finished project was incredibly beautiful! It is hard to imagine these are our old cabinets!!! They look fresh and new. I recommend him most highly. read more
