Juan Huizar, owner of StoneMasters, and Isaac are truly masters of their craft. It's rare to find such dedicated craftspeople today, but they are the real deal with skills, knowledge, and experience. They restored my 30+ year old travertine floors, cracked kitchen granite, and limestone bath countertops that had white rings. The floors look new, and the granite was artistically repaired so that the repaired cracks looks like part of the natural granite. They take true pride in their work, were on time, and very pleasant. Highly recommended. If you think you might have to replace granite (mine was badly cracked around the sink), call them first. I'd had the crack filled before by a handyman, and it came apart, but they knew just what to do (go in under the granite and remove the rusted supports that expanded and cracked the granite). They polished and sealed all counters, floors, and bath vanities, and power washed exterior stone. They also gave me care instructions. Stone Masters polished travertine marble floors and did an amazing job!!! Our floors had been damaged by the previous owner attempting to finish them. They were dull and had large swirl marks that we couldn't get out. Juan and Isaac spent 2.5 days polishing and sealing, and we are extremely happy with the results. See pics. Isaac did most of the work and was very meticulous masking the walls and baseboards, putting down drop clothes where they carried things in, giving us access when needed and moving the equipment out of the way before he left each day. Juan shared different levels of polishing we could chose from and described how the floor would look. It came out just as he described (we decided on a mid-level polish). From the very start, we were treated very well by Juan from Stone Masters. The work is quality work. It was done well and on time. A few days after they finishey a lemon wedge was accidentally left overnight on the floor. It is our fault and it disturbed the finish but they're coming back for free to touch up that one area. I can't say enough about how happy and pleased we are with our floors now that they've been cleaned and refurbished. We have travertine throughout our home but we had added on a few new areas lately. Juan's team was able to stain a couple of pieces that blend the old and the new. The transition is now imperceptible, I would use them again in heartbeat. read more

I can not say enough good things about Stone Masters. We had a long neglected (but very loved) counter-top and floors, which we had not maintained over the years... primarily because we weren't sure how to do it, or/or who to call. I had spoken to a couple 'professionals' over the years but wasn't convinced that they really understood the best way to restore the travertine or labadorite countertops, which are notoriously brittle. We found Juan to be incredibly knowledgeable and professional in his assessment and suggestions to fill holes that had developed in the travertine, and to maintain, polish and seal our counter-tops. The quote was quite reasonable, regarding both cost and time, and Juan was able to work with me so that scheduling would be least disruptive to my family's summer rhythms. The team who did the work were also very courteous, professional, and friendly. They efficiently got the job done, all while working around our dogs and kids and general family chaos, always with a smile and a friendly word. The job was finished EXACTLY on the schedule that Juan had outlined... perhaps even half a day sooner.... and most importantly, both the floors and the countertops look better than the day they were installed. Seriously. I wish I had known about StoneMasters years ago, and am glad to have found them. I found this company through Yelp. I regretted that I decided to give them a try anyway after reading through all the one-star comments. It was such a waste of time back and forward texting. They were responsive at first but started fading out to no response. We, however, got to the point where we did schedule the service to be done. They texted the night (late) before to cancel the appointment and promised to call back the next day to reschedule the service. A week later not hearing from them, I texted and got no response. If they do not want the job, a simple NO would do instead of dragging and leading me on. Luckily, I found another company to do the job, and cost a fraction of their charge. read more

Call these guys FIRST and end your frustration. I had another company come out to repair a crack in my granite kitchen countertop due to rusting steel bar inside expanding. That other company filled the crack and a few weeks later, it came back as the rust continued. They didn't tell me the repair would be temporary! The crack got longer and bigger. If I STARTED with Stone Masters I would have saved myself a lot of $$ and headaches. Juan was able to remove the steel bar completely to stop the expanding and replace the stone with very minimal cosmetic inconsistencies. But for Juan I would have had to replace the entire countertop, which would not only be hugely expensive, but also not match the other countertops in my house. Juan was super knowledgeable, kind and generous. He explained what he proposed doing, why he proposed it, and what was happening with the stone. Juan was knowledgeable, attentive, easy to work with and was very customer service oriented. His work is top notch. My black granite island had some minor scatch damage, and I attempted to repair it myself. I was able to remove the scratches, but the area that I tried to hone resulted in the granite being dull and murky. It drove my wife and I crazy. I contacted Juan and asked him to provide a quote. Not only was his quote extremely reasonable, he offered to do the work right then and there. I gladly accepted, and he proceeded to hone, polish, and seal the island, giving me a tutorial on what materials to use and how to achieve perfect results as he went. The shine, color, and depth is now restored and looks even better than when it was first installed. We could not be more pleased with how it turned out. I wish that I had taken a photo of the before and after. A tenant really did some damage to our limestone floor. Originally I reached out to Juan for a quote to restore it before we moved in temporarily while we were doing a remodel on our primary residence. He did not have time to do it at that time, but I circled back with him before we moved out. Juan did not have time then either, but somehow he made some room in the schedule and go it done for us. This type of floor has to be kept up or the small pits and cracks get too large and you end up having to replace the entire floor. The technician was Carlos and he did an amazing job, they are both polite, courteous and they keep you apprised of the progress by text and phone calls.
