    Our new Master Bathroom
    Erik H.

Derek did a phenomenal job and plan to hire him again for our new house Derek and his helper did an amazing job on our Bathroom Shower, Floor, and back splash. He was able to tile, basically, the entire room in 1 week while we were on vacation on the east coast so we got to come home to a brand new Master Bath that, as you can see from the pictures, looked amazing! Thanks Derek!

Derek has been, perhaps, the best contractor I've worked with as I've been remodeling my house. Compared to other tile installers that didn't answer the phone or said they would call me back and didn't, Derek was responsive and easy to communicate with. He was helpful in the planning process -- letting us know what kinds of materials to be thinking about and possible finishing elements we could use. The tile installation process was seamless. He showed up on time, communicated with us throughout the installation, and did top quality work. We're thrilled with our new fireplace -- it's the centerpiece of our main room and, without hyperbole, we think it looks stunning. Thank you Derek!

I recently had Derek Priest, owner of San Diego Tile, complete the tile work (floor, shower, and backsplash) on my master bath remodel and I couldn't be more pleased. Derek was quick to visit for the initial quote, his price was competitive, and he was always prompt while working on the project. Each day he always ensured the work area was clean and he completed the project within his targeted timeline. I would definitely recommend going with Derek Priest and San Diego Tile Installation for any tile project!!!

Derek did an incredible job with our backyard patio tile installation, as well as front stoop and side landings.

Starting with the initial consultation, they were helpful but not pushy and even started providing initial designs before we signed anything..They were even able to accommodate us, to complete half the project while we were out of town, so we didn't have to go without a kitchen for long! Most importantly, the kitchen came out even better than we expected and on budget! As long as you plan ahead with all your selections, this team will deliver!

Unfortunately, things began to fall apart shortly before finalizing my cabinet order. My final renderings were never properly completed. One entire room was missing from the plans, and major updates that were requested - including switching from frameless to framed cabinets (which affects cabinet sizing) - were never reflected in the drawings. It became very difficult to get in touch with anyone to finalize the order or receive updated plans. Eventually I went into the store in person, where Liad offered to "fix and finalize" everything on the spot. He manually drew out the new layout and entered the order on his phone, assuring us he was taking care of everything. However, no formal layout, purchase order, item list, cabinet sizes, or updated renderings were ever provided. I was told we could rely on the existing renderings and that getting formal updates from the designers would take too long. After paying, we heard nothing until my contractor informed me that cabinet boxes were being delivered. The delivery arrived without any paperwork, purchase order, or layout for my contractor and cabinet installer to reference. Once installation began, we discovered multiple issues: missing items, incorrect cabinet sizes, missing panels, and accessories that were the wrong size. Trying to resolve these problems was extremely frustrating. It was again difficult to reach Liad until we went back into the store. He repeatedly asked us to provide a list of what needed to be fixed, but that was difficult because we were never given a purchase order or layout showing what was actually ordered. What stood out most was the change in demeanor. Conversations that were initially helpful became defensive and dismissive. At one point he even questioned whether our installers "knew what they were doing," and suggested modifying cabinets to make incorrectly sized accessories fit instead of addressing the ordering mistakes. At this point I have had to purchase replacement panels, shelves, and accessories out of pocket from another cabinet store just to keep the project moving. Both my contractor and cabinet installer -- as well as staff at the other cabinet supplier -- were shocked by the experience and confirmed that this is not how a cabinet ordering process should work. My advice if you choose to work with this company is to triple-check everything and get all documentation in writing before paying. Make sure you receive final drawings, a purchase order, item numbers, and cabinet dimensions. It's unfortunate to have such a stressful experience during what should be an exciting part of a home remodel. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this business. There are many other cabinet suppliers that provide clearer communication and proper documentation.

The company under this new upper management only cares about collecting their payments, not about quality work and customer service. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE AND BE HAPPY WITH YOUR KITCHEN!!! I contracted with them to reface my kitchen, and I have the following issues: * The cabinets do not match the bases. They even agreed with me and asked me for a paint bid, but then decided that they do match. * The laminate on the bases is already delaminating and it hasn't been a year, in some cases hasn't even been a month * Poor quality parts were knowingly used for warranty work, which resulted in them telling me they would need to come back before they ever even finished. At this point, I think the poor quality workmanship and use of broken materials is intentional. Additionally, they make it very difficult to get work done in the afternoon, as they state they only work until noon. See attached: Statement of information that details the change in management that took place January 2025 Screen Shot from CSLB License Board detailing that their license (639021) is subject to cancellation if a new qualifying person is not replaced by 4/2/25. Screen shots of emails for them requesting a paint bid and then stating that everything matches. Text messages with the now CEO and CFO detailing that installers only work 5 am to noon. Picture of the mismatch from the cabinet to the base with THEIR sample that also shows that the laminate doesn't go all the way to the top of the base. Picture of delaminating base.

He kept telling us that he would give us a good price. He did the exact opposite. He jacked up the prices unbelievably and when we did need to return something, he made it impossible to return it saying that there was a 35% restocking fee and that we would need to pay for shipping to send it back. The item was a linear drain for the shower and he sold it to us for $1,000. I looked up the prices when we decided that it wouldn't work and most vendors sold the same linear drain for half the price. He never told us how difficult it is to work with glass tiles and how easily they shatter and crack. He never told us that we shouldn't use glass tiles in small spaces. We should have received a discount because we were working with a builder. We could have received a different discount because my husband is a veteran. We might have even been eligible for a discount because we are senior citizens. He kept telling us that time was of the essence because prices were going up every day. At least we didn't fall under that pressure to buy quickly. I live in a highrise of 385 units. Many of my friends and acquaintances were interested in hearing about our bathroom renovation. When we tell the stories about what we went through for the remodel they now know from whom they should not buy any supplies.
