So it seems like there are mixed reviews for this place based off what I see. The owner "Steve" is very good to clients if he assumes they are about to spend a lot of money. Anyone who he assumes is not spending a lot of money, he treats with a very smart, snarky attitude like he's better than everyone. Came in here just to browse and ask questions because I am about to remodel and I want to redo 3 bathrooms and the kitchen. He must have Thought I am broke or don't have money to spend because he never gave me the time of day. While I was walking around and trying to ask questions he was on his cell phone texting away not paying attention. Must have been having a bad day. Based on the snarky replies I see him making to people here on yelp it definitely makes sense. Little did he know I was ready to spend a lot of money and I am gladly shopping elsewhere. This place is a good find! I was driving around looking for a place I went to years ago and stumbled on Tiles Warehouse. Jason was working there and showed me their soapstone, which I love! I saw a sink in their showroom that day and, after researching sinks, I came back and bought it! It is a beautiful kitchen sink, very good quality, and the price was very reasonable. This time I noticed a nice selection of tile that looks like hardwood. The prices looked very reasonable - now I just need a place to install it! My husband and I had been shopping for weeks and weeks searching for a countertop for our kitchen remodel. We had collected numerous bids, had looked at dozens of samples of quartz (the material we thought we wanted for our countertop) and still were no closer to a final decision. That was until we drove by Tile Warehouse and saw a big sale sign and decided to see what this company had to offer. We are so glad we did!! We met Steven and he graciously and patiently educated us about quartz vs granite countertops and what is the best material for kitchens. After our tutorial we toured the slab yard that had some very beautiful slabs of granite and other natural stone. There were so many different slabs of all colors and patterns to choose from and at excellent prices my husband and I could not decide. So Steven kindly retrieved a cabinet door of similar color and style that we have in our new kitchen and held it to the various slabs that we liked and that has made all the difference. We were able to choose a beautiful granite slab that complimented our new kitchen cabinets!! Besides Steven's excellent customer service and going out of his way to make sure that we are satisfied customers he made sure that we had a product that was not only a beautiful quality product but also a product that fit into our budget. Since we were so satisfied with our granite countertop top we have returned to Tile Warehouse for glass subway tile for our backslash which is once again absolutely top quality and budget friendly. During our kitchen remodel I was agonizing over countertops. I was leaning toward quartz but I could just not get past the uniformity of the patterns. I wanted something that was stunning. I am extremely picky and had spent many hours looking at quartz and granite and was not happy with anything I had seen at the local granite stores. My wife had been by Tiles Warehouse and liked what she saw so I decided to go check it out. The first slab I saw I knew was the one. It was amazing. Steve at Tiles Warehouse was highly recommended to us by a close friend who had worked with him on several home projects and remodels. The recommendation served us VERY well in our own home remodel project. We had already purchased from a different vendor beautiful granite slabs for our new kitchen and we needed assistance in some complicated fabrication work. (We were not acquainted with Tiles Warehouse when we made our purchase; otherwise, we would have considered buying from them.) Steve was extremely responsive to our needs and equally creative in his recommendations for fabrication. We had a matching pair of granite slabs plus an additional one, but we truly wanted one of the two matched slabs as our central island. Steve was able to use the two "mismatched" slabs to fabricate the countertops around the perimeter of our large kitchen. The seams are basically invisible. I don't know how he was able to make the pattern appear as if it were in a single slab when there were two seamed together but that is precisely the result he achieved. I recommend Tiles Warehouse highly for remodel or new construction work. Very skilled and very responsive. Rates are competitive. read more

Wish I could give zero stars. So much went wrong, from incorrectly measuring the granite area from the plans and coming back with a 50% increase in fabrication costs (8 sq. ft. was missed); which we were able to negotiate down, to the slabs being delivered with the wrong edge treatment and having to send them back twice to get corrected to an acceptable level, even with the wrong edge. Was told that the Owner had his own crews for fabricating, but the job was farmed out to another shop, with little or no follow up from Steven H. He was willing to refund the extra cost for the edge that they didn't provide, but was not at all willing to reduce the price further for screwing the whole job up, delays, additional work required by my contractor to correct their mistakes. Look, I'm an Architect, every Architect friend I know and every Contractor, and Client that I work with are going to know to stay away from here. Worst experience ever! read more

We have purchased tile from Steven at Tiles Warehouse on two occasions ~ once for a master bathroom remodel in our Lafayette home and a second time for a new home we are building in British Columbia, Canada. Both purchases were marbles and Italian porcelain tiles. Steven has an impressive selection of both. Please do not use this place for any services. Unless you spend over $15,000 you are not a priority. The owner doubled the price on my job and when I asked why, he would not even itemize and explain. He just said "its a lot of work and its not worth my time to itemize it". My job was still almost $2000 but I guess that was not enough, so I said NO THANKS! When my contractor made an error in calculations for the tile order, Steven the owner personally called me to tell me about the error and was happy to call my contractor. He explained the situation and everything worked out perfectly even though they would have sold more tile and made more money if they just went along with what I originally ordered. Tiles Warehouse is fantastic. Steven has a wonderful selection and the prices are reasonable. We looked around at many different slab yards across the Bay Area, but no one else had the variety and flexibility of Tiles Warehouse. We redid 4 bathrooms and a wetbar. We wanted each to have a unique and distinct look. If we were to have went with any other slab supplier we would not have been able to do that. Tiles Warehouse allows you to buy 1/2 and 1/4 slabs. Most other suppliers require you to buy an entire slab. Additionally, since they do the fabrication in house, you are not having to pay for a slab pick up fee. I purchased a few items for my condo, including floor and wall tiles that my contractor did and a wonderful custom granite slab for the kitchen that Stephen custom cut and installed along with the backsplash (around 2 plugs & switches.) Stephen even allowed me to block out the areas I liked on the slab for individual installation. The prices were reasonable and the quality of work was excellent. We had such a great experience with the granite counter top that we bought the tile back splash there and had them install it. All of the prices were more than fair compared to other suppliers with lesser quality materials. We also bought our kitchen sink there and they gave us a lower price than the lowest online price. It is the nicest sink I found and no one else in the area had it. Now we are having them install the hardwood floor that we bought from them. I recently used this company for a slab of Quartzite for a Kitchen island, we searched all over the bay area looking for what we wanted, most places all had the same styles but this place had very high end and unique slabs. The owner is there all the time to discuss options and very helpful, they install was incredible, they took their time and made perfect cuts for the rangetop install, could not be happier. After one of the larger outfits couldn't meet my schedule, not to mention their void in customer service, I looked elsewhere. We recently completed a remodel on our home and after receiving over 10 quotes to install our Caesarstone kitchen countertop, we hired Steven and his company, Tiles Warehouse. We could not be happier! In order to install Caesarstone, the installer has to have completed training with the company and be certified to install their product. Steven is not only certified, but is tremendously knowledgeable about the various countertop surfaces, both quartz and granite, and was a true pleasure to work with. Steven kept in continuous contact with us about the status of our job and even texted us photos of our slabs once they arrived at his warehouse. On the day of the install he was at our home overseeing the installation and ensuring that the job was done meticulously. Once completed, Steven reached out to us to make sure that we were satisfied.
