Floor and Decor came highly recommended to me by two of my coworkers. They told me they have a great selection without the specialty tile store prices. They even have obscure items like dark purple sparkly grout. I was blown away by how large their showroom is. They even have XL porcelain slabs. I used to say I hate tile because of the grout but they have beautiful selections. They even have a clearance section in the back left of the store. The first visit we didn't find the Schluter edge trims we needed. But they do have a much larger selection than your local hardware store. The second visit I was looking for Y shaped spacers for installing hexagon tiles. An employee asked if I needed help. He and another employee took maybe 10 minutes out of their way to help me look for the Y spacers. Super nice! Exceptional service! Their inventory online actually seems to be accurate because they asked if I had the SKU and it told them the same number available as what I saw online. I had called two other flooring stores nearby to see if they sell Y shaped spacers but they don't. Definite plus in how large their inventory and selection is. I will be going out of my way to cross the bridge to go to Floor and Decor for my next project needs. read more

First time customer at Floor and Decor. I was there to choose tile for our new shower. My contractor directed me here because of the good selection, ease and speed of acquiring tile here. The showroom is huge, bright and beautiful. I suddenly became overwhelmed with choices. I'm not intuitively creative when it comes to decorating, so I went to find help and ended up at Melissa's desk. I lucked out as she's one of the designers here. After asking me questions about what my needs and desired aesthetics were, she pointed me to some tile she thought would fit the bill. She probed for more details about the space and function, and made recommendations. I was so pleased with her suggestions that I went ahead and purchased the tile and accessories from her consult. After installation the contractor raved about the selection and I had to give credit to Melissa because without her help I would never have achieved the gorgeous shower we have today. The order process was seamless and fast. I ordered tile on a Friday and they were delivered on time Monday. The delivery team was fantastic as well. Great at communicating. We needed a little more tile midway in the project and called the store to see if they had it in stock. The guy I spoke with was very patient with me as I looked for the right sku and he was equally as helpful. I found the pricing to be reasonable, especially given the quick delivery of product. I highly recommend this location and won't hesitate to refer people to this store. Supplies can be loaded into your car at the front side of the store. They do it for you. Assistance by staff is spares at this location, but the variety of available options is extremely wide and everything is readily available because they have such a large warehouse. Everything from tile to bathrooms to wood flooring and modified wood flooring and accessories. He came, and there was very few carts for clients, because all of the customer cards were taken by returns, or small carts being held at the front counters by staff, which is disappointing. read more

UPDATE: Shortly after posting this review, I received a phone call from the "real" store manager James who was very apologetic about what happened. He processed a refund for the price adjustment and said he would provide additional training for his employees. I've changed my 1 star review to a 3 star based on his responsiveness. The store is very large and clean but even though there are employees aimlessly wandering around, no one offers to help. I made a purchase last month via their website and that went smoothly. Today while shopping I noticed tile that I purchased 4 weeks ago had a price reduction. I asked the cashier if I could get an adjustment on the price I paid. I was told that I had to bring back the tile and repurchase the items. The tiles are extremely heavy (48x24 porcelain tile) and there was no way I could do this. The manager April also said an adjustment could not be done as it was company policy. If this is how Floor & Decor treats its customers, especially senior citizens, over a $6.60 price adjustment, then I will no longer be shopping there and will encourage others to go elsewhere. read more

It took them over 35 minutes to get our in stock order pulled. This is a serious waste of time. With over 10 people walking around in the loading area aimlessly I'd of thought they could provide better customer service. read more

The flooring i bought was easy to install and easy to maintain. Sales person was friendly and helpful in making my decision.

We net with our designer, Michelle. She was very nice. She helped us look at a variety of materials for our project. Unfortunately, a lot of the items we chose were not available. Great service should be acknowledged. It isn't common to get excellent service at large stores like Floor and Decor. On multiple occasions, I have had the pleasure of being assisted by Micheal V. Wow. Michael is so personable and very well versed on flooring, tile and all their products. He is smart, courteousness and really cares about his customers. He truly goes out of his way, doesn't rush you and couldn't be a nicer guy! Five stars plus! Natalie who is one of the designers was very helpful and assisted me on the selection they had. I knew the color scheme I was going with so it was no problem selecting the tile, grout and contrasting tile for the niche. Natalie was over the top with her knowledge and very friendly. Nice product selection, which is a big plus. The guys at the pro counter are also very helpful. Great return policy for overages. Where F&D falls short is the general floor staff. No one asking "do you have any questions?" People at the cash registers obviously want to be somewhere else. You have to ask for help/information. Obviously under staffed, at least for knowledgeable, want-to-help people. I'd use them again, but I'll know what to expect in the future. read more

Great place. We ended up buying too much and since the unused tile was still in its package, we were able to return it without any problem. We are definitely coming back here for the bathroom remodel. My only gripe is that I paid for delivery and then found out it was going to take more than a week to get to me locally. Came to this location for some bathroom floor tiles after the San Leandro location told me there should be 240 boxes of the specific tile we wanted. After locating the tile ourselves we saw there there weren't any boxes behind the display. We asked a worker if she could help us see if the tile was in the back. She said she would help us look. She scanned the barcode and asked for someone in the warehouse to check for us. Meanwhile we waited, and waited and waited until my husband was like "it's been a while should we ask again" after not seeing her for about 20 minutes. We asked another worker if he knew where she was after we described what she was wearing. He informed us that she had gone home and didn't not pass anything off to him about us. So frustrating! The 2nd worker helped us and it ended up that the system wasn't updated so we drove all the way from Oakland for no reason. :( Suggestion: if you do need a specific tile and have the code number. It's best to have a worker visualize it instead of just looking in their system to make sure it's there before you make a whole trip out to try and get it. read more

The two vanities we purchased have terrible countertops. F&D refunded one if them after I reported to BBB and now the second one is showing problems. We now have to purchase replacement vanities, and pay to have these uninstalled and the new ones installed. Do not buy their vanities. read more

I really want to give them a better review! Their tile selection and prices are great. If you are a homeowner and need some tile this is the place to go. Several months ago we had significant problems with commerical purchases and delivery. Hope they have gotten this straightened out. The billing and delivery was not good. Kim at the Pleasant Hill store is a hero in my book! I got a call from my contractor on Sunday evening that I'd need tile and all materials for our shower and backsplash ready for Tuesday! They had to move up the project by a week so I wouldn't have the original tiles in time. I scrambled to find a replacement, Lowes and HomeDepot didn't have anything I liked. I was planning on driving out to my usual tile place in Berkeley but dreading the drive. I remembered floor and decor had tile so I popped in. I was frustrated but determined to find something. An awesome girl (think she had a green nose ring) helped me look for some tiles but there wasn't enough of what I wanted. I continued to look and asked Kim for help. Kim went above and beyond educating me on different pencil and trim styles, the stone in the backsplash I selected and how they need to be sealed, grout and tile options. She helped me to match my grout with my tile and accent tiles. She looked in the back for over 10 minutes to help find enough tile to fill my order. Kim even gave me her honest opinion about a design choice I was on the fence about. She probably saved me from a design that would look dated in a year (arches in a shower nook) so I went with a shelf instead. I left the store with everything I needed but was still short 3 boxes. Kim assured me she'd keep looking for the missing inventory but if she couldn't find them she said several other stores had them in stock and she'd help me order them. A few minutes after leaving the store Kim called to say she had found the missing boxes of tile I needed. I turned around and she was waiting near a register with a cart with my tiles. Fantastic customer service! Yes, I spent a tad over our budget but I fell in love with the stone backsplash idea and I over bought knowing we might have breakage. Jamie helped me pick the tile for my new shower. She was amazing. I told her what I was looking for & she pulled the perfect tile & the niche tile to match. I ended up with 3 extra unopened boxes when my bathroom was done. When I went to return them their computer system was down. The gentleman was so sweet. He accepted the boxes & emailed me the return receipt when the system came back up. Saved me a trip back. I had my BFF make an appt with Jamie when it came time to redo her bathroom. Unfortunately when we got there Jamie wasnt scheduled to work. They should have notified us that Jamie wasnt available & let us decide to reschedule or go ahead. Thats why I couldnt give 5 stars. Initially negative 5 stars for floor & decor as my tiles have been delayed 6 days . It has the incredible nightmare. Initially I ordered tiles on a Sunday and I was communicated that it would ready by 3 PM at another store. Sent my workers there and upon arrival it was not ready and it was relayed we would have to come back the next day. Lots of money wasted. Every day next, was another delay until 6 days later- friday. Thank you to Sam and James on Friday for hearing all of my feedback. Also thanks for ensuring I had a proper debriefing of the situation and ensure sure that I was taken care of as a client . 5 stars for Sam and James! Love this place. I was like a kid in a candy store. There were so many selections to choose from and it was so hard to choose. Thankfully I got to partner with Melissa who is an amazing design specialist. She was attentive, gave good recommendations, and listened to what I envisioned for the rooms we were renovating. Prices were very competitive and there are an abundant amount of choices for floors, tiles, and slabs. It can be overwhelming as it was for us. They do offer free design help that you can register on their website. If you don't want to pay a hefty shipping cost you can always go to the store to pick up your supplies and boxes of materials. The strong staff will help you load your car which was super helpful. So excited to install these pieces for our office study and bathroom. read more

Do not ever purchase Dura lux flooring from this store! There are so many reviews and unhappy people with this product! I wish I would have known before I purchased 1300 sq ft of Dura luxury premium vinyl flooring lifetime warranty!! They do not honor the warranty stating it's the installers fault and not their problem! It's been less than 2 years and my floor is falling apart and it's warped and it looks so bad!! Im so disappointed and reading the posts on the Facebook page no one has ever gotten their warranty honored it's always installation issues and not their problem!!! Do not ever buy this product if you want to be satisfied or happy. Customer service didn't help and they don't want to help you! They say get a third party flooring inspector out of pocket cost is over $1000 and pray they agree with you! This is a joke! I wish I would have done mine and not trusted the store to tell me what they recommend and trust the lifetime warranty!!! read more

Just had my first experience at this particular location. Starting with the good; it's a huge store compared the ones I've been to before. They have a large selection and the store is clean. Most of the workers are friendly and personable. And the bad; they have incorrect signage. A price was posted for an item and it was incorrect. I only found this out after having them cut my pieces, and waiting quite a long time for service the first time around. There were 2 of this particular item, a small one and a large one. I had the employee cut me pieces of the smaller, supposedly less expensive one. When I got to checkout they told me the price was more than twice as much as what the signage had said. The kicker is though, that the bigger, better one was less expensive than the little one. Still more than the price on the sign, though. So I of course had them recut me the pieces of the bigger better item...since it was cheaper. They really should have price matched the item for the shown price. It would have been a difference of about $30 total , but they most likely won't sell this item anyway since the bigger/better option is less expensive. The first employee I got to help me didn't know what the item was either. I had to explain to them what it was, what it was used for, and where it was located in the store. Service was pretty slow, as this entire process took about an hour. I will probably go to the San Leandro or Stockton one next time. read more

I generally love shopping at Floor and Decor because of their great selection of tiles and tiling accessories. The store is very clean and easy to navigate. However, the customer service is laughable. First, I received false information about the restock of a tile I needed urgently, causing a lot of unnecessary frustration. Additionally, checking out took 20 minutes for a simple transaction because the cashier answered the phone twice during the process. This was extremely unprofessional. Moreover, one employee was hitting on a woman while loading her car and then loudly bragged about it in the store in front of customers. The team that loaded our tile was also unprofessional. They were slow, used inappropriate language, and loaded the car poorly. My husband and I felt like we were in the Twilight Zone after what was supposed to be a quick online order pickup. This was my first time at the store. So many options to choose from. My initial interaction was with Rose who asked if she could help me find anything with a smile. While walking through the store, I was asked by various store representatives (including Dustin) if they could assist me. Once we were ready to make our purchase we realized we needed help placing the heavy boxes of tile on our cart. I found Dustin and asked if he was available to assist us. He had to lift and move many individual tile pieces sitting on top to get to the boxes of tile which were heavy. He did it with a smile! He also offered to help us pick out the best grout color to use. We had an amazing customer service experience with Dustin. Even our checkout was so quick and seamless. Never answer phones. There is staff walking around aimlessly everywhere. I have been waiting in line for over 15min. One cashier. About 10 employees have walked by, but again, no one is helping anyone. No one answers the phones! Ever. Three people that I passed by were complaining about the same thing. Cashier who finally helped me had ear phones in the entire time. Literally said she didn't know how to make changes. No one knows what anyone is supposed to do or how to do anything. Comes across as no one is trained. The women helping me was rude on top of that. It's disappointing with the store being large and new. Buyer's Remorse in 3D. Not only did I spend over an hour in this store selecting the perfect material for my bathroom remodel, I spent over $1,000k with the items I purchased. The in-store service is excellent. Carlos was knowledgeable and helpful. However, they were suppose to call me to schedule the delivery of my material this week. Not only have I not received a call from them, I have called them and nobody picked up the phone. I was almost going to drive the 10 miles from my house to the store when I thought let me select the cancel my order option. Wow!! They answered the phone. I told them I wanted to cancel the $250 delivery charge and I would pick up my order. I was then told that although my material was in stock that I paid for 5 days ago, they had not finished pulling it. I am going to drive to the store and get a complete refund. I explained to the individual that answered the phone how long I had been calling and she said the guys will turn their phones off. This is not acceptable. If you cannot transport your own material and it is in stock, I would look elsewhere. Granite expo has everything. read more

Horrible service. hard to find anyone to help you in the store. They use Installation Made Easy for homeowners installation. They sub contract with numerous subs-lower end contractors. Mine seemed to be more interested in quantity than quality. My experience was a nightmare. They sent a flooring company that did not finish the job and wanted to charge extra to come back and complete it although I had a contract with them for the entire job. Tried to resolve the situation with 1. The manager at Floor and Decor. 2. Installation Made Easy A) Customer service B) Resolution Dept. C) District Supervisor. Not one of them called me back. Not One! Good Luck if you decide to use them As a follow-up. Installation Made Easy via Floor and Decor used Kyle Tile to install my flooring. They never completed the job that I paid in full for. They never called me back to complete the work although I reached out to them several times. I had to hire another installer to finish the job. That cost me an additional $200 to complete.
