I rarely write reviews but Ken at Interior Spaces deserves an outstanding one. I purchased a Calligaris table with a custom top and legs which was being shipped with white glove delivery to a home in the mountains in Utah. When it arrived the ceramic top was damaged so I was told to not accept it and Ken located another one with the right combination of top and legs. When that arrived, it also had been damaged in shipping and Ken said to reject it and he found another one- same problem. I guess the porcelain tops are very fragile and require more delicate handling. Ken never gave up in the quest to deliver the perfect table I had ordered and was communicative and proactive throughout the ongoing issues never complaining once. They just delivered the 4th table which arrived in perfect condition and I couldn't be happier. I've never had such a positive experience from what was ostensibly a terrible one. Calligaris had discontined the combination I originally ordered in the meantime, but Ken persisted in getting that original combination shipped from Italy. Ken, thanks for your persistence, patience and follow-through. I can not recommend you and your store more highly!! read more

My fiancé & I stumbled upon this store when we were browsing in the Willows. Little did we know we would happily be purchasing ALL of our new living room furniture that day! We were in the market for a sectional sofa & coffee table, but couldn't find anything that matched the color, fabric & configuration we really wanted... until we saw all of their options! We now have a COMFORTABLE custom red leather sectional with chaise & contrast stitching. It looks so high end (which it is). Ken, the owner is SO friendly & helpful. He suggested a coffee table that would fit our space & style nicely as well. We put the order in for both that day. Later on in the week we came back in to purchase a wall unit with shelving, cabinets & wine rack. (I was admiring it the last time we were in the store, but didn't pull the trigger.) We just had everything delivered yesterday & we are very satisfied. Everything is beautiful. Wonderful customer service as well! There were a few scratches on the base of the coffee table. Hmmm...I called a couple days ago inquiring on a couple items on their website. Gentleman that answered said he's helping out the owner and that he couldn't answer my questions to just come in. Today when I went in the same gentleman that answered the phone was still working and the owner was not there. He had to call the owner to come down to help me. After a short time, I could no longer wait around so I left my information and requested a call back. No call back.. They are having a grand opening right now. With balloons outside. I asked if they just opened but they just moved to a bigger location a few door down. I'm a little confused. Why would you have a grand opening with an employee that can't answer any questions?? I guess they don't need the business. It sure looks like other people have made purchases according to the Yelp reviews!! I did however find a couple cool items. Still pricey though. ***Follow up from my first review. Ken did call me back twice to let me know he was in the store and ready to answer questions. I do appreciate the courtesy phone calls. Unfortunately I didn't make it back to the store. I stand by my first review. If you're going to have someone cover your store they should be able to answer questions. I shouldn't have to come back. This was about a year before covid so no excuse. No communication for when couch was going to be shipped. Called multiple times and owner had no idea. Months pass by then suddenly movers are calling me at work saying they're trying to drop off the couch. When couch finally came the cushions were way to soft and thin to the point you felt the frame underneath making it super uncomfortable. Asked owner to fix this and it took another several months to replace, I'm ok with that, but he only replaced two of the cushions instead of all 5. Once again no communication about the other cushions. Got ghosted after several emails about replacing the other cushions so just learned to accept it. Don't waste your time here. When you're dropping a lot of money on furniture you expect a level of customer service that wasn't even close to being met. read more

Wow! I am so unbelievably thrilled with the new bar stools we just got from Interior Spaces Design in Concord. I came in there wanting one thing, but absolutely fell in love with these gorgeous industrial red and wood bar stools (a huge departure from the original boring stools I thought I wanted). Our new bar stools are sleek, stylish and give the whole house a much needed pop of color. The owner was so exceptionally helpful, thoughtful and patient. He was very generous and accommodating. Look, we all know you can "get that look for less" from countless online retailers, but why not support your local businesses - it's the right thing to do, and it's totally hipster. Speaking of which, Ken is one of the hippest furniture store owners around, and if you don't see anything in his shop that you like, he can order you practically any furniture item that you've seen online (or at other local furniture shops) for about the same price, if not better. His store is a fine addition to the Willows shopping center, and a perfect fit to go along with the upscale renovation that it's currently undergoing, too. Ken responds to emails fairly quickly, so that's probably your best way of reaching him, if you're trying to price match or looking for specific items. My wife and I have bought many different items, and have outfitted practically every room in our house with items we've bought from his store. I happened upon this store because I just bought a new house and needed a new dining set. I visited countess furniture stores and scoured online but I just didn't see anything I wanted. I took a look on yelp and searched for furniture stores in my city and found them there. They had good reviews and one reviewer said he could get me anything I thought I might like. I visited the store and Ken was friendly, attentive and helpful. There wasn't anything in the store that I liked so he let me flip through the catalogs he has and told me to pick out a few so he could get a sense of my style. Well I flipped and found one and fell in love. I hadn't seen anything like it in any other store or anywhere online. I ordered it and It arrived in a couple of weeks, I had it delivered and it is gorgeous. The glass top portion of the table had a small chip (I'm assuming from shipping) but I called Ken and he had a replacement sent. The service and selection are great. AND, he has book after book of options not on the floor. You will truly find what you are looking for (but be prepared to spend some time) Ken made it clear to me from the beginning that his goal was for me to be completely happy with my purchase... and he remained true to that throughout. Walking into this store was a very unpleasant experience. The furniture is chaotically jammed into a space to fill as much of it as possible, and it's hard to walk around. We were looking for a sofa and the items all appear to be low-cost, low quality construction. The one salesperson stared uncomfortably at us the whole time and wouldn't let us just browse the selection, he awkwardly yelled out some sales pitch at us from across the room about once every 1-2 min. We have a semi-destructive dog and a baby on the way, so we weren't looking to drop a ton of money on a new custom couch. The owner was very friendly and informative. Horrible business. Owner gave me a price quote for a set of chairs. Went back to purchase the next day, had to wait 20 mins past opening time because nobody was there. Once someone finally opened the store the owner changed the price quote on my husband. And on top of that he wanted to charge more than HIS OWN Craigslist listing. I had stumbled upon this store only to kill time waiting for another store next door to open. While browsing, I realized that this store was not filled with the cheap furniture that you find all around but these were really high quality furnishings. As I was leaving, I noticed a really cool looking thick solid wood coffee table. It was absolutely stunning - beautifully made and 2 inch thick SOLID. All of the natural wood textures were left in tact and not cut out. All the pretty grooves... I picked up one end of it and it was HEAVY. I asked about what type of wood (Acacia) where it was made (India) and the price (pricey, but that's because of the quality and workmanship). I took pictures of it and left. An hour later, came back again. I left. Came back two days later and really really admired it. I left. Came back five days later with my husband to show him the table. I just couldn't justify spending that much on a coffee table. I left. Came back the next day, they were closed and the store was empty but that was because they were moving into a larger location a few doors down. Waited a few more days and wanted to see it again, but they sold it. My heart dropped. Ken recognized me from coming in so many times before. Never did he pressure me or show impatience because I've been in there over and over again. We chatted about the table, and he gave me several options of tables just like it.... but I had to have that first one. So I asked him if he can order it. He required a down payment but I really didn't think I was going to buy it right then (I was only going in to admire it again). He must have felt sorry for me because he said that he is sending an order in and he would order it anyway so to include it on the next shipment. Otherwise it was going to be a longer wait. So I promised I would bring the money within the next few days and he trusted me. That table arrived faster than I thought. I went in, he opened the package right in front of me so I can inspect it. Beautifully perfect. I paid him in full and he helped to load this solid wood table into the back of my truck. Excellent service, and good old fashioned trust. Oh and the table? My pride and joy. Hi, my name is Fei Jiang. I really appreciate the help I received from Ken, Owner at Interior Spaces Design. He first helped me when my sister bought a house in Hillsboro this past April. The house has five bedrooms and two spacious living rooms. When she purchased the house, the real estate agent said she would need to pay an additional $200.000 for furniture. My sister and I decided we would buy furniture separately. Our friend, Khurel, introduced us o Ken. We were under a lot of pressure to furnish the house in preparation for a stay with us that our Chinese relatives had planned for already. I told Ken I needed to furnish five bedrooms within a week. Ken gave us a very thorough introduction to the lines of furniture he carried. He is a very honest and hard-working person. He gave great recommendations on configuration options and remained patient during our decision making process. Some nights he worked past midnight to help us. He is a super nice and super kind person. He sold us quality furniture for a competitive price. We found everything we needed for the five bedrooms and also bought two sofas for the two living rooms. Out of the items we bought, some of the noteworthy pieces included five mattresses, lounge chairs for the pool deck (a set of seven), a special dining table, and eight stools. The dining table was beautiful. The corners were metal and the top was layered solid wood. I have never seen any table sets quite as beautiful, and the entire set was only being sold for $3,000.00 The real estate agent was trying to sell the furniture for $200.000but with Ken, we bought everything for under $80.000 ,I bought my own house in Tiburon and closed the deal My 1st. I took my mom to Ken's place to help me make decisions on furnishing my house. She ended up finding a mattress that was the perfect stiffness for her liking. We also bought two sofas, two mattresses, a coffee table, and headboards. Everything is great quality and the prices are just right. This place is great and the person in charge was awesome. I was volunteered to host a New Years Eve party with 2 days notice and so I needed some bar stools fast. They were out of the ones that I selected, but the owner made a quick call to his delivery guy and supplier at 7pm and he was able to set things up for expedited arrival for the next day. He then worked extra early the following morning to ensure his supplier and delivery guy remained on track. By the afternoon, I had my stools and the party went off without a hitch.
