We love our sofa! My husband and I stopped in on a whim having had no luck finding something reasonably priced in the right size for our narrow room. We purchased a custom sectional that same day. The sofa came in 3 weeks exactly as he said and delivery was super fast. Helder is so knowledgeable, gives you an opinion you can trust, and made the shopping experience very easy. The price was better than anything we considered at Ashley or Living Spaces and came in a quarter of the time they quoted. I have already referred family to Helder and will continue to do so. read more

Earlier I stopped by this business to see what they had available. I told the guy there about our place and gave him an idea of what I was in search of. Not only did he listen well to my description of what I wanted, but he was very helpful, able to answer any of my questions and best of all, he was so honest. Honesty is big in my book. This place came highly recommended by a friend who is a local to Concord. I had been searching for months for a chaise sectional with a pull out mattress and couldn't find what I was looking for in the specific measurements I needed. The other issue I kept running into was timeline due to shipping delays. I visited the showroom twice and Hester made it happen for us. Not only did we get what we asked for, it came in less than 3 weeks. Because we live in San Jose, Hester worked with the factory in SJ to do direct delivery to save us $$. In addition, Hester gave is a discount due to some miscommunication about the side of the chaise. Hester offered to do a brand new sofa but we were able to make the side of the chaise work and absolutely love the sofa. You also can't beat a 5 year warranty. read more

Just got my new off- white chaise couch from Elder's company, Sofas 4 Less! I had looked for months at every furniture store imaginable. I couldn't find the right color or design without paying double for what I paid for this chaise couch. It is so well made to perfection.... I'm really fussy about furniture. My friend said she heard about this company and I went to see what was available. I didn't expect to find all the selections I could have made. I had been to Bassett, Pottery Barn, Ashley....you name it, I went there! Everything is made to specifications, so many designs, and fabrics to choose from. And, I got it so quickly. Elder, the owner was wonderful to deal with and just wanted me to be happy. He stands behind his craftsmanship and his word. He has a great delivery service he works with which I would rate 5 Star! Received the couch in exactly 3 weeks after ordering it. Much faster than most other furniture stores since they are custom made locally. We got to pick exact dimensions and all the details. No pushy salesperson, but we were given a lot of advice and help when asked. So far I'm loving my new couch. We ordered the medium firmness and as we were told, it's much firmer at first as compared to the floor models. But with two crazy kids jumping all day on it, I know it will hold up well and soften over time. I'll update on how it holds up, but I'm loving it so far. And the price was less than similar ones at other stores. read more

I looked at Yelp & Google reviews before I went shopping. I had a list of 6 or so stores to visit. I was so impressed with Sofas 4 Less that I bought there & didn't look elsewhere. The owner knows is biz. He explained what we should look for. After the sale was made & were were ready to leave...he wasn't done. He offered us another choice for our betterment. I feel it is well made. The sofa arrived today. The delivery crew was pleasant & fast. The only negative comment & it is petty: The delivery people TEXTED me to announce they were coming & I guess the money due. I don't text & both numbers they attempted to text were landlines. Why do people assume our numbers are cells? I would buy again. read more

Recently purchased a couch from Custom Sofa For Less, located by Lowe's. I have to say the sectional we ordered is wonderful! The price is comparable to any other place, maybe even a little less expensive and you can customize it! It's made here in the US and has a free 7 year warranty. I'm so happy with our purchase. Our Ashley's couch set was falling apart within 2 years! Also, the delivery service they use is exceptional. Polite, on time, wore masks, and made sure everything was set with the couch. Rave about Sofas 4 Less - FOUR years later!!! We were recommended this local, custom sofa shop from another social media site and now, we've now had this couch for four years - and it's held up incredibly well!!! Everything about their couches are custom- size, style, color, firmness. The cushions are still extremely firm, just washed the covers (so easy to do). We use this couch daily, as our only couch, with two boys and a dog!! Can't say enough great things! We picked out every aspect of this couch, for a great price and took about 4 weeks to make and deliver!! read more

I mean, I can see why this place is so highly rated. After trying out all the local big box stores and even looking all over online, we just couldn't find the right size sectional for our oddly long rectangular living room. We had originally purchased one from Living Spaces, but it fell apart (springs literally burst out underneath) after only a year. Learned our lesson buying sight unseen online. Went here on the recommendation of a local mom's group, and couldn't be happier with the experience and our new sectional. Not at all a glamorous experience, store is right near Lowe's in a very industrial area of Concord and it's basically a glorified warehouse with couches stacked all over.. but we had the store to ourselves, and the two employees helping us were knowledgeable and not pushy at all. My 2 year old was running rampant playing hide and seek in couch tunnels and they didn't seem to mind at all. The best part is not too many options - soft, medium or hard and basically whatever size you need. We chose a boring gray material (intentionally) that they swore is kid and wine friendly and it's held up great so far after a few months. Made in the USA locally right in Sacramento. Complete ahead of schedule. Delivery was (extra $) through a 3rd party that they arrange for you, or you can pick up at the store. read more

It was time for a new sofa ., went into sofas for less met Christine she was super helpful, I saw a sofas that I like but the problem was it was too short and not wide enough I'm 6'1" she said no problem we can custom make it for you ..whistles and bells went off in my head .. I came back the next and met Helder very friendly.. he sketched on paper what I wanted type of cushions , color, materials, firmness , width and length and height .. I received my sofas and it awesome!! I can lay down without hitting my head the end , it's wide and taller , my back feels better ..for a few extra $$ to have a custom made .. all made here in California with a great warranty .. I was so impressed with Elder's knowledge about the Crate&Barrel fabric swatch I brought in. Not only did he recognize the fabric right away, he had a huge selection of colors. Elder knew the fabric was what is called micro-fiber and told me the history of the fabric. Thank you Elder for your exceptional service! I love our sectional sofa. There were a few problems...Originally I gave a not great review, but Elder called me right away, came to my house, looked at the problem. The next day a gentlemen came to my house, turned the sofa on it's side, removed the underlining to see where the squeaking was coming from. Not a big deal to fix the problem. I was able to look at the construction and the wood used. I was impressed Now I'm looking for a chair to complement the sofa.. read more

We were in dire need of a new couch, our current couch has been broken for a while and is sooo uncomfortable. We've been searching for a while and went to multiple furniture stores looking for a couch but never been able to find a sectional that matches what we want. When we came here anything can be customized which is amazing. We walked around and tried multiple couches to see which one we liked the best and we saved the best for last. When we sat on the Sacramento couch and we all said "this is comfortable!" We knew our search was over! What an unbelievable experience we had at Sofas 4 Less. We walked in and we're greeted but not bombarded by sales people. We got to view all of the styles and materials and make our own decisions which I loved. The associates were incredibly helpful with talking about the warranty, expected wait time to have our furniture built and how to go about getting it delivered. We had a couch made for $899. A recliner was made in the same material for $799. The additional warranty (managed by a separate company) was $100 which we purchased since we have kids. The delivery fee was $80 and our items were delivered by Fernando who was over the top professional, timely, considerate and nice. We have a no shoe policy in our house and he insisted on removing his shoes while carrying in our heavy furniture in even though I said it was ok to leave them on. I would 100% recommend this business. They were so easy to work with and our furniture is beautiful. The photos do not do it any justice read more

We're in the process of getting a new couch and I wanted to direct a little attention toward Custom Sofas 4 Less because they seem to have a better model than most furniture stores. Ever been to Build-a-Bear? Well this place is pretty much the same model. The showroom has a lot of sofas and recliners, from which you choose the design, fabric, layout and other features. (Totally aside, did you know that recliners come with USB ports now? I must be getting old.) The pricing is pretty straight-forward and 3-5 weeks later you have a custom-built sofa or recliner delivered (via a third party). I met the owner, Helder, who was nice, helpful and seemed to know A LOT about home furnishings and interior design, and he seems to have built a business around producing a comfortable, durable, attractive finished product tailored to each client's sense of style. IMPORTANT: Don't let the storefront fool you. From the exterior, the store isn't much to look at--a largely brick building in an empty lot by Hwy 4--which Helder noted keeps costs, and therefore prices, down. I may update this review with more details once we have our sofa, but I can say with certainly that if you're looking for a reasonably affordable, super-comfortable couch or recliner, AND want a degree of choice over the design, Custom Sofas 4 Less is worth the drive. read more

We were needing to replace our very old couches and had searched at a bunch of different furniture stores in the area when we found this gem of a store! We even went to some other stores after finding Sofas 4 Less just to make sure there wasn't something better available and we ended up going back and ordering our couch and love seat because they were seriously the best price, quality, and design (our personal taste, obviously) that we could find! The customer service was great too! I loved how helpful, yet non-salesy/pushy they were there and the selection of fabric for the couches and pillows were so vast, it was great because we got exactly what we wanted! We got ours delivered, which I highly recommend, and the men who delivered it even helped us move out our old couch and love seat. Great custom sofa options! We needed a larger than love seat, but smaller than sofa sized couches and we were ready to purchase Pottery Barn Apartment sofas, but found Helder at Sofas for Less before we did that! So happy we did. We were able to fully customize from two identical sofas from length to fabric (tons of options for fabrics!), softness of cushions, color/style of feet, bullets/no bullets! Price was similar to Pottery Barn, but I got sofas that were perfect and I didn't settle, at all, as I would've had to do with PB. Oh...and, our sofa arrived in 2. 5 weeks...Not 8-10 weeks as with the bigger stores! Great customer service, great place. Highly recommend! read more

I needed a medium size sofa right away and this place made that happen for me. Purchased the floor model because it was the perfect size. It was delivered next day. The built quality is amazing compared to Chinese made furniture. The sofa is super sturdy for the price I paid for. No squeaky sound or unusual wood cracking noise. Very happy with the purchase. I can't say enough about these people!! I already posted about the couch I bought there and how much I love it. The quality is amazing and their customer service and pricing are unbeatable. Then, I managed to spill glue on my couch after having it about two years. I called them and they said to bring it in and they would replace it at a cost of about $125, which was a deal! This is the beauty of buying custom furniture! Anyway, they called me last week to say it was ready. I go in and the Elder showed me that they simply took off the side of the fabric where the glue was and replaced it. I was thrilled. Then I asked what I owed them and he said "Not a thing!" What?!?!?!?!?! I swear, these guys are the best!!!!!!!!! Not only do they have exemplary customer service but their selection is amazing!!! Do yourself a favor and go in to see them. The chair I decided to go with was on back order but I was in no rush since I had a few months before my baby was due so that was not a problem. Once I received the chair from the manufacturer, it had a squeaking noise. A sound enough to drive yourself your crazy when trying to rock your baby to sleep. Not a good combination. I decided to call the store and spoke with the owner. He was EXTREMELY nice and worked REALLY HARD to resolve the issue. It took a few weeks for the manufacture to get back to the store owner but what I appreciated was the consistent line of communication on his end. He called multiple times updating me with any information he had and let me know I am still a priority in resolving the issue. It was eventually resolved and I couldn't be happier. We love our recliner and I plan on having this chair for many years! This store has a wonderful selection with high quality items. I definitely recommend buying from Clayton Furniture. This was easily one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I've had with any business.I went in looking for a sturdy bed frame and made it VERY clear to Tony that I did not want something flimsy or cheap because I've had one break before. I specifically asked about the return policy twice and both times he confidently told me there was a 30 day return policy. Based on that, I trusted him and spent $400 on a king-size bed frame. Big mistake. I picked it up, it was built the SAME DAY, and the second I got onto the bed, it literally broke. Not after weeks or even days. Immediately. That is beyond unacceptable. A $400 bed frame should not collapse instantly. I could have bought something cheaper online that would've lasted longer than a few seconds. When I called the next day to figure out a solution, I was met with attitude right away. Instead of helping, the person on the phone acted like I was the problem. Then I'm suddenly told there is NO 30-day return policy?? I was told to come in and speak with the owner, so I did go in and Tony was there, and the moment I mentioned the bed breaking, his entire attitude changed. He became defensive, rude, and completely unprofessional. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to blame me and say I "built it wrong," which is ridiculous. I wasn't the one who built it, my father was and he even told me that the bed frame looks really flimsy and low quality. The frame was assembled correctly it's just extremely cheap and poorly made. What's even worse is that the "30-day return policy" he sold me on magically turned into a "30-day warranty for parts." That was NEVER explained upfront. That's misleading at best. His solution? For me to email them the broken part so they could replace it. Meaning I'm stuck fixing a brand new, already broken bed myself. Not only that but even if they do get me the same part I'm still going to have to buy better, sturdier, and stronger parts which is going to make the price for this horrible bed frame go up even more. I should not have to put more money into a bed frame I paid $400 for. I sent the email as requested, and it has now been 12 days with absolutely no follow-up, no resolution, nothing. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The products are cheaply made, the customer service is terrible, and the way they handle issues is unacceptable. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values honesty and quality.

When it arrived the ceramic top was damaged so I was told to not accept it and Ken located another one with the right combination of top and legs. When that arrived, it also had been damaged in shipping and Ken said to reject it and he found another one- same problem. I guess the porcelain tops are very fragile and require more delicate handling. Ken never gave up in the quest to deliver the perfect table I had ordered and was communicative and proactive throughout the ongoing issues never complaining once. They just delivered the 4th table which arrived in perfect condition and I couldn't be happier. I've never had such a positive experience from what was ostensibly a terrible one. Calligaris had discontined the combination I originally ordered in the meantime, but Ken persisted in getting that original combination shipped from Italy. Ken, thanks for your persistence, patience and follow-through. I can not recommend you and your store more highly!!

At first, we were excited because the couch we purchased is nice and comfortable. We spent around $2,000 on furniture and paid an additional $200 delivery fee. The sales associate clearly told us that delivery would include removal of our old couches. That did not happen... When the movers arrived on Thursday, they delivered the new couch but refused to take the old ones. We were left with FOUR couches crammed into our living room and hallways, making our apartment basically unusable. When we asked the movers, they said it wasn't on their order. To make the matters worse, we tipped the movers under the impression they would be handling everything as promised ... but they simply left. When the movers called their supervisor asking for approval to pick up the old furniture, their supervisor said "No. Just leave. I need you guys at the next location." We contacted the store immediately, and the associate said because she forgot to notate it on the invoice that the old furniture needs to be removed, she would find someone to pick them up later that night. No one came. The next day, Friday, we followed up again and were told someone would "for sure" come Monday, leaving us with a claustrophobic living room for an entire weekend. Monday came and we received a call saying there was nothing they could do. No pickup. No solution. We were then offered a $100 store credit because apparently that's all they could do after spending $2,000+ and dealing with a situation that made our home unlivable for days. This entire issue happened because the associate failed to note the furniture removal on the order. We ended up having to rent a U-Haul and haul the couches to the dump ourselves, paying additional costs out of pocket. This experience was extremely frustrating and inconvenient. The lack of accountability and follow through is unacceptable. We will not be returning. We initially thought we would be able to purchase all of our furniture here, as we're in the process of replacing everything. However, after this experience, we will not be coming back. Originally, we planned to get an entire new set of furniture that same day & I'm honestly so glad we didn't because I can't imagine having double of everything in this case.

My second visit I just had to have one, for under 2k, I was able to pick out the exact style, size, fabric and feel! I even got to pick custom pillows! Nina is amazing, and made it easy. I added a few pieces which drove the price up some more but was necessary. The coverage plan cost a lot, but seems worth it and if you don't use it, you get it back in store credit. The biggest problem I had was delivery. Unless the item is over 6k, it's 450.00 in delivery. Between the sectional, warranty, and tax I was over 6k and that didn't apply, which I was not happy with but had no other option. Time will tell the durability of the product, but it seems nice and we enjoy it for now.

Have purchased furniture from Bassett twice and both times the estimated delivey times were missed…read more With the latest order I was told furniture was completed but they wouldn't be able to ship for an additional 3 weeks, this on top of the 6 to 8 week estimate at purchase. Since they require a full non-refundable payment when orders are placed there really isn't a big incentive for them to meet delivery dates and little consequence if they miss. The other items we purchased are good quality but the next time we upgrade or supplement furniture we will look more closely at alternatives. We weren't even notified of the delay, only found out about it after placing a call. Hard not to feel as if you are important only up to the point of when the check is cashed.

When they finally arrived, I was greeted with a "Sorry." The flowers were beautiful and so was the amber tone mosaic vase. (I am still enjoying the vase now filled with some dried fall flowers.) But here is where things get a bit strange. When I was rinsing out the vase, I noticed two stickers on the bottom. One said Mervyn's $39.99 and the other said Goodwill $8.99. Mervyn's closed many years ago so today's retail value of the vase would be much more. Who knows how it ended up at Goodwill and then made its way to Jory's. I don't have an issue with recycling from thrift stores. I do it myself. What was very odd to me was Jory's did not take a minute or two to remove the stickers. Very tacky. This would have been a five-star review if the flowers had arrived on time and in a vase that did not show its thrift store origins.

I calmly ask to speak w the mgr. & I receive pushback. The lady who answers the phn doesn't want to track down the mgr.; I can just tell her about my issue. So I clearly explain what is wrong & (when asked what should be done) that I expect a partial refund or some form of compensation for my $140 dozen roses delivered a day early before Valentine's Day. Ppl make mistakes... but... The sole reason I'm even leaving this review is bc of the lackadaisical, almost resentful tone & attitude of the lady who fielded my call. She is the opposite of what a business owner or founder would want for customer service. If timing is important to you when you order flowers, you might want to avoid this business. That would merit a 3 star review. If customer service is important you, def. avoid this place. This is a 1 star review primarily for the tone-deaf reply I rec'd when I initially expressed my dismay: "well... you know, mistakes happen, & I mean, they were delivered."

This place rocks!! I can't get over how amazing the products and customer service are at this place. My fiance and I came in for a new sofa but didn't know what we wanted. Our salesman Diego was very helpful and patience, not pushy at all like other places. We pick out the style then the fabric and color and we were done. Within a few weeks our sofa arrived looking and feeling perfect, plus at a great price. And it was made in California!! Thanks again Diego!! read more

1/5 Stars - Avoid Ethan Allen at All Costs: $4000 for a Broken Dresser?…read more I'm writing this review as a warning to others: beware of Ethan Allen's poor quality products and appalling customer service. We spent $4000 on a bedroom set, only to receive a dresser that was severely damaged. The issues include: - Large gouges and scratches on the surface - A busted drawer that doesn't function properly - Peeling wood finish When we complained and sent the dresser back, we expected a hassle-free replacement or refund. Instead, they've repeatedly sent the same broken dresser, ignoring our concerns and gaslighting us into thinking there's nothing wrong with it. It's been incredibly frustrating to deal with this situation, especially given the high cost of the furniture. I'm still left without a complete bedroom set and feel ripped off. Unless you enjoy dealing with broken products and unhelpful customer service, I would strongly advise against shopping at Ethan Allen.

Marsha Lucas, their interior designer at the time, did all my living space, which I am really happy with. She really worked well with me accommodating my preferences. Their customer service is top-notch. One of my counter stools had a small tear in the leather when they delivered, and they promptly took care of it while being fully communicative along the process. The reason for only rating at a 3 however is because their furniture is not of the highest quality any longer. The quality was top-notch many years ago, and you could justify the very hefty price-tag. Not anymore. These days most of their furniture is made in China, and I see MDF used in good measure, instead of real wood (the quality is reminiscent of Pottery Barn furniture now). EA however chose to retain the very hefty price tags for such poor quality furniture. Good luck to them keeping up with competition, with their current business model. Luxury furniture brands have furniture that is far more reasonably priced (for the quality) than Ethan Allen. I won't be buying from Ethan Allen anymore.

He informed us of the different choices we had and shopping took me about 40 minutes from start to finish. My husband had a question, so I called and asked for Art and Peter answered my question for me. Easy people to work with. Disappointing experience…read more Not a good experience Purchased an expensive wool and viscose area rug that was recommended by one of their designers. They neglected to inform me the material the rug is made of cannot be professionally cleaned. If it is cleaned it will never look as good as it did when it was new, and the overall quality will deteriorate much faster compared to a wool or synthetic rug. Evidently the viscose shrinks and the rug can shrivel. I found this out today when I scheduled professional carpet cleaners to come out to clean it. They refused to clean the rug. I have pets and the designer knew this. If I had known this I would have NEVER purchased the rug. I have also experienced issues with communication. I'd been putting off these purchases for about two years, because the thought of figuring out West Elm, Crate and Barrel, vs. online-only retailers was so daunting, and I wasn't looking forward to spend money on stuff that could be a total dud. Pros: -- Saves a TON of time. I had already spent hours on websites with no idea what I really wanted. I took a few ideas from Instagram, pics of our actual spaces to Shannon, and in a few days, she narrowed it down to 2-3 amazing options that totally fit our requirements and budget. (She was VERY respectful about budget- she was frank about what spending less or more money would get us, and was honest about what budget was realistic or not, and for stuff that was over budget, provided great cheaper options) -- **If you can afford West Elm et al, you can afford Countrywood** and get even more bang for your buck in terms of quality. I'm sitting on COMFY GORGEOUS DOWN-FILLED COUCH CUSHIONS as I write this for the same price as a sofa with a thin piece of latex cushion from Article. -- Great, expert advice so you get colors, materials and construction that actually makes sense for your life, not just whatever is cool on Instagram Cons: This is actually more of an FYI. They work with a lot wholesale-only furniture brands that only sell through decorators/retail, and anything custom will take a few months(!!!) especially because of COVID. Shannon does know which options are easier/faster to get, but if you really fall in love with a certain piece, be prepared to wait. But honestly, I've read online reviews of people ordering West Elm for a chair, and it taking MONTHS with NO actual updates. In my case, I emailed Shannon, she calls the factory, and I got shipping updates by the next business day.

So, I've gotten 3 rooms furnished from this place. They have a great selection in store, and an…read moreeven greater variety of styles and finishes in the catalogs they have. They have financing options available, which I took full advantage of. I bought: a queen sleigh bed, a twin cherry wood bed, and a twin girl's bed with interchangeable headboard color; each bed with matching nightstands. The whole process was quite easy, and the people on the showroom floor are very friendly. Not pushy at all! Delivery was quick and easy...and FREE; had my items within about 5 days. Granted, I live exactly one street over, but still. And for all 3 rooms, they only charged me $15 to put it all together. I still tipped nicely, though :-) Quality of my furniture? The finishes are great. They durability so far seems good. Would I buy from them again? Absolutely! In need of a sofa now actually.
