This was a nice place to checkout. There was a wide selection of collectibles. The prices were reasonable. I did have to take a star off due to the service. It seems the assistant at the desk is prejudiced towards black people. She immediately got up and started to follow my spouse around the store. This generally happens when we visit places where they assume just because you're black you're going to steal something. It's the reason why we have returned. It's a pity they don't want our money. They should treat paying customers better. read more

It's the kind of shop where you come in for "just a look" and leave inspired (and probably with something you didn't know you needed). The workers prefer to sit around and gossip vs greeting and welcoming visitors. The tall young woman with the glasses followed me around the shop while I shopped vs asking me if I needed any help. It was super uncomfortable. As a person of color I'm used to that treatment from primarily white establishments. Won't be back. read more

Love this place and the approachable vibe. Some items are expensive and some are not which makes for a comfortable browsing environment. In contrast to Narrative in Oakland which is gorgeous but expensive... and sort of uncomfortable. At some point you stop checking price tags. Vinteige on the other hand has just enough funk to make it human, if that makes sense. People are nice, place is big and each time I've gone there's new items. I've bought something interesting every time- all one of a kind. Hope they do really well! read more

The staff was super kind and helpful. The inventory was vast and had a nice curation with a little bit of everything. Personally I know all of the smaller nic nacs and the smaller glass pieces. Good store! I'm not very familiar with the vintage home goods scene, but Vinteige has a good selection of uniquely catered wares and furniture. It is a good option for folks who would prefer to have home pieces that are high quality but also more unique and less common place. When I was there, they were also offering free beverages and playing tasteful music from a local DJ. The store was quite busy, but it was easy to navigate, and the workers were friendly. read more

It's a cute shop with different vendors selling their items, mainly vintage. A lot of the store reminded me of my grandma's house. I was one of 2 customers in the shop and the person working was helping the other customer, however they never acknowledged me or said hello. At a minimum - a "let me know if I can help you with anything" would have been appreciated. I took a few laps around the shop but didn't see anything that I couldn't live without. Weirdly, there was one vendor who had some cute things - they had tags on their items, but no pricing - only QR codes. Why not just put the prices on the tags - I don't need the hassle of pulling out a phone to scan a code to find out how much it costs. Definitely worth checking out, it's right across from Target, and has plenty of parking. read more

With marvelous new vintage shops opening up throughout the Bay Area, this one in Walnut Creek stands out with its lively selection of furniture and home decor that have all been rescued from the landfills and restored for a new generation. I've visited a few times since the store's opening in June of this year and will return to furnish my new home. I especially like how carefully the vendors curate their spaces--eclectic with items that meet a wide breadth of tastes. And if you catch some of the vendors tending to their items at the store, it is a pleasure to chat and learn from their knowledge about the world of vintage furnishings.
