We had an unused empty loft space that we thought would be nice to use as a baby nursery. We had mulled it over but were a bit nervous about the permit and inspection process. I had multiple and I mean multiple contractors try to talk me out of it and scare me into reasons why not to get a permit. Then I met Becky. She was incredible and really stood out compared to other contractors that came over with her energy and go-get-it mentality. I could tell she cares about her work product and leans into the customer experience side vs just getting a job done (which is shockingly rare I've noticed in the construction industry). Green Group Remodeling made the permit process (planning and multi step inspections) a breeze and stress free for me, which after some negative experiences with other contractors, was a surreal feeling. The project was completed in about a third of the time other contractors said it would take from a permit process perspective allowing my wife and I plenty of time to nest and set up our nursery before our baby arrives! Green Group remodeling sets a high bar in terms of quality of service, communication, efficiency of all their employees. My project was a kitchen remodel, elevating a sunken living room, new wall, taking out fireplace facing to close it off, smoothing a flat ceiling in living, dining and kitchen area, and new flooring. All I can summarize is WOW! Communications are timely, nearly instantaneous. Work was taking place everyday all day, 6 days/week and so progress was briskly occurring. Daniel Lusky was my project Manager and from the first initial consultation he stood out among the four companies I consulted with because he is very concise, efficient with his questions/observations, took measurements while we were talking, showed me samples/ideas from their Instagram. We worked with Green Group on an extensive structural + kitchen remodel + other odd jobs over the course of the year. Honestly I was so surprised and impressed by their speed and efficiency and professionalism. They were very responsive and made quick progress; we only really had to wait on other bottlenecks to our project like major delivery delays etc. Tula in particular was wonderful to work with. Not only from his easygoing demeanor, but he also made sure everything was done at quality and expectation. And when unexpected things came up, which they are bound to do, he was on top of it and helped us come to solutions we were happy with (we'd brainstorm what is worth doing versus not, and he was cost conscious which we appreciated). It always seemed that he had everyone's best interest in mind- rather than just trying to make a profit. Plus he was consistently transparent and great at communicating; we grew to really trust him. It's rare to hear that someone loved their contractor since I mostly hear horror stories about contractors to avoid. But we loved working with Green Group (Tula in particular!) and it actually makes us EXCITED to do another renovation project in the future. Also shoutout to Trino and Jesus who were often working at the jobsite and great as well; i think my toddler misses them! We wanted our inground fiberglass pool filled in with dirt and surrounding Trex deck removed. Also wanted the entire area graded, smooth, and ready for future astroturf. We worked with Green Group for a renovation that took about 2 years to plan and 4 months to execute. Tal Wasserstein was our project manager, and he was truly above and beyond. My friend also worked with Green Group for a remodel (his project manager has since left the company), and I can assure you that the project managers are not equal. Tal was incredibly patient and calm despite significant surprises which emerged during the course of the renovation (as I suspect is the case with any renovation). Every time he told us about an unexpected problem, he also offered multiple potential solutions, as well as his recommendation for what to do (with a clear rationale for why he recommended that course of action). For a first time home remodeler, this was critical and helped us avoid becoming overwhelmed when things behind our walls were not as expected (and if you've never done a remodel, let me tell you that this is often). He has tremendous expertise that spans paint, fixtures, structure, flooring, tiling, woodwork, and the permitting process in San Francisco. Tal was also noteworthy in how available he made himself throughout the project. We chatted him through WhatsApp multiple times a day at many different hours, and he always responded in a timely fashion (even if he was out of the country in a very different time zone). Green Group Remodeling completed an ADU conversion for us in 2023. While parts of the project went smoothly, we recently discovered a significant problem with the electrical work that raises serious concerns about quality control. This year, we discovered that the ADU sub‑panel had been wired with individual THHN conductors that were left exposed under the house instead of being run in a continuous conduit. This is not code‑compliant and created a safety hazard that required immediate correction. Consequently, we had to hire another electrician to replace the wiring with proper SER cable at significant cost to us. The situation was disappointing, especially given that this was permitted work that should have been done correctly the first time. We reached out to Green Group with photos, documentation, and a request for response. It has been more than a month and we have not received any follow‑up. The lack of accountability is extremely concerning. Based on our experience, we can no longer recommend Green Group Remodeling. read more

My husband and I needed to remodel our primary bathroom. We contacted the Green Group and Tiko V. came to give us an estimate. We hired Green Group and Tula (our project manager) for a large remodel project beginning in October of last year. Our scope included 2 full bathrooms, partial kitchen, deck expansion, structural work (we removed walls, added exterior window/door, moved an outdoor staircase, etc). We had our own architect, who we had known beforehand, that Tula partnered well with, and we also did use Green group's design services for the two bathrooms (the 3D renders were quite cool!!). Overall, we were happy with Green Group. For a project of our size, we were solving for some balance (as most would) of speed, quality, and cost. Green Group was somewhat on the more cost efficient side of the bids we received, and we knew from references that they can move fast (which was true). Tula was a great project manager and very responsive - we used WhatsApp and he seemed 'always on'. The people we interacted with working on the house were all very nice, diligent, left the place pretty clean. I also really appreciated Tula's suggestions on some of our design / layout choices (he was pretty proactive about things like "I think you'll want the shower valve here instead of here") and did really appreciate his partnership with our architect. We passed all the inspections smoothly. The one thing I would say is that I think as a function of having a big team and moving quickly, there was some room for improvement on attention to detail (at least from what was visible - painting, some of the carpentry / wood details, floor). Tula and his team did address them all after the project was done which is appreciated but something I would have hoped would have been more of a focus along the way. But main message with all of that is I would definitely recommend Green Group and would choose them again - and with Tula as our project manager!! read more

It's always tricky finding the right contractor but in this case Green Group made it easy. Once we contacted them for some roof work, Roy Mol, our dedicated project manager showed up the very next day to review what was needed and provided a quite immediately. Most other contractors we reached out to never actually got back to us which leads me to the second highlight about Green Group. The level of communication provided by Roy and Ailer was excellent. They were always in touch about the status of the project, on-site to inspect the work, and provided updates consistently with a level of white glove service you don't typically see. The crew was punctual, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. And our porch looks fantastic! 10/10 would recommend (and ask for Roy if you can) read more

Tal and his supervisor visited our house on 2 separate occasions to give a quote on a large exterior remodel project to replace all our siding and rebuild a large deck. The whole process was very professional and thorough. We received a very detailed quote that was in the same ballpark as the company we eventually selected. Ultimately, we didn't go with them, because we wanted glass railings and the quote specified that we should provide this. It's intimidating to measure for something that could be upwards of $10k (in case we made mistakes!) and was a nebulous cost to us at the time (difficult to budget). read more
