Thank you, thank you, thank you to Udi and his team for working with me and my budget to remodel our bathroom. My number one priority when looking for contractors was clear communication in all aspects of the project, and I'm very happy to report that Lion Group Construction did not disappoint. I came in with a vision and budget in mind, and Udi helped me figure out what was actually feasible, what would put me way over budget, and suggestions to work around the limitations of our space. When the team hit roadblocks during construction due to past owners' questionable DIY methods and the age of the home, they were quick to text/call and let me know what was up, how they planned to deal with it, and always waited for confirmation from me before proceeding with anything that would differ from the original plan we'd made. If I had questions or noticed small details that I wanted to change in the midst of the work, they responded quickly and kindly. I was never worried that I would be ghosted or ignored, or that the work would be delayed as the project went on, which I know is something that unfortunately happens to many homeowners!! I'm grateful to Lion Group Construction for alleviating much of the stress of a big reno (the decision fatigue was real) and transforming the bathroom from a dank and dim space into the calming, well-lit one of my dreams. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you! read more

Sending huge appreciation to Udi and his excellent team for construction we needed done on our house. We had a tight deadline to get our house on the market, Udi came right over and intuited exactly what we needed, walked us through how and when his team would get it done -- and there they were bright and early on the first day of work. Super nice guys! They got right to it and did an absolutely beautiful job on the house, they did it right on time and for exactly what they quoted. There were absolutely no surprises, they were absolutely responsive, and the quality is perfect. So happy we found Udi and Lion, can't recommend them enough. read more

Udi and his team did our full bathroom and bedroom renovation. They were absolutely wonderful to work with. Pricing was fair, communication was clear, and his team worked extremely hard and did excellent work. Our project was completed on time and we couldn't be happier with the results. Lion Group Construction helped us take down a joint wall between two rooms to give our daughter the bedroom of her dreams. They also laid down new flooring and painted the walls & ceiling. From start to finish this company was professional, helpful, considerate, and hard working. I will not hesitate to recommend their services and will be for sure using them in the future. read more

We needed a few projects done for our house (boarding up a wall, window replacement, patching wall cracks). Udi was swift and professional with coming out for an estimate, providing a fair price, and quick turn around time. His team did a great job. We were very happy with their work. Udi and his team did our full bathroom remodel in our Walnut Creek condo. We're so thankful we listened to the other outstanding reviews from Yelp and messaged his team. After interviewing SEVERAL contractors and "big box" companies for the job, we absolutely felt the most comfortable with Udi as he understood our vision without need to interrupt our life for multiple projects or go over our budget. Udi's team handled the country permits & inspections, demolition, tile work, electrical and full installation. We would have had no idea where to start without their feedback and assistance in this project. We also got prompt responses anytime we had questions, with fast and consistent communication from Udi & Marcial. Every step of the way we knew exactly what was going on. The end results truly speak for themselves, the work was done beautifully and is even better than we could have imagined. If you're looking for an honest, reliable and respectful team to handle your construction job I would HIGHLY reccomend Lion Construction Group. We're so happy we found them! read more

Lion Construction was a dream to work with for a couple of projects on our home including a raised hillside patio and the complete replacement of our gutters and downspouts. He walked me through the options, didn't try to upsell me and provided pictures of similar work he'd done to give me a sense of the completed look. Udi was communicative around schedule and costs as well. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out and we'll be working together again for our next project down the road. read more

5 stars across the board. Udi and his team are amazing. We did a project to reconstruct a corner of our house, replacing a slider and another window. The crew was amazing, finishing the job quickly and the work was absolutely perfect. So happy we found Udi, and we'll definitely be working with him and his team for future projects. Highly highly recommend. read more

Lion group was definitely on the more expensive side of the quotes I received, but in this case I got what I paid for. Udi himself was responsive and his team executed with solid craftsmanship and attention to detail. Will definitely keep them in mind for future work. read more

Really great experience with Udi and the Lion team. He showed up and provided an initial walk through and high level estimate. After finalizing scope he provided his quote and we began work shortly thereafter. Crew was on time, professional and respectful of my property. They were efficient and finished on time - and most importantly, the spouse was super happy with the work product! In summary, Udi and team showed up when they said they would, did the work they said they would for the price he quoted... no fuss, no drama. Honestly, I wish more contractors were like this. read more

Failed to turn off the water prior to cutting pipes during upstairs shower remodel. Flooded hardwood floors below and caused them to warp. Brought in hardwood refinishers who left visible drips of sealant in multiple areas and hadn't bothered to take care of the floor under the refrigerator. Moving the refrigerator revealed that cabinet installer had removed baseboards and hadn't put them back. Udi showed up precisely once a week solely to collect checks. Every bit of quality inspection was done only by us. All home cleanup had to be done by us. The amount of gaslighting we heard throughout the project is jaw dropping. We have no doubt that the other reviews here are fake. This is a third rate outfit at a premium price. read more

This post is long overdue. Udi and his crew did some work on my home a few years ago; minor renovation of a bathroom, new flooring/paint/lighting in a playroom and a window installation. Udi and Lion Group provided a fair quote and performed quality workmanship within the parameters set. A year or so later, I noticed a potential leak in my bathroom. Without hesitation, Udi responded and committed to checking out the issue the following day. Mind you, it had been over a year since he worked on my bathroom and still he acted quickly and professionally. Fortunately, the issue was minor and was one that preceded our home purchase. And although this was not his problem to fix, he quickly called a plumber to take care of it. I've worked with a few contractors over the years and Udi stands out as unique in his professionalism, responsiveness and genuine caring nature. If you have a job, big or small, I highly recommend you give Udi a call to bid on your job. He will not disappoint you. read more

Lion group was such a pleasure to work with. I interviewed 5 contractors and not only was Lion Group the most reasonable estimate, they also provided the most detailed estimate and bill of work. The work to be done was to remove a pocket door and wall, install new flooring, new baseboards, quarter round, and new appliances. Udi and his work crew (Pablo and Ceasar) were extremely respectful, courteous, and skilled. They did all of the work with attention to detail and quality. The communication was excellent and overall they were just awesome. I am super thankful I found them and could not be happier with the quality of my work. I highly recommend them. I will be using them in the future for sure! read more

Our designer recommended Udi to us as we researched general contractors, based on the quality of his finishes. As part of our process, I also called 2 references, who further recommended Udi and his team. The scope of our project was significant: - Executing a full earthquake retrofit of the ground level of our house, including re-bolting to the foundation and introducing sheer walls - Introducing a new floorpan, including a new bathroom with a shower - Demoing and refacing our existing fireplace with tile, and ensuring it was properly set up for the gas insert we purchased - Bringing our den into this century by removing the wood panelling and replacing it with drywall. This part of the project also involved removing the built-in grill and wet bar and seamlessly repairing our wood floors. - Addressing many, many smaller updates and needed maintenance At every step, we found Udi a great partner in the remodel of our home. He was always responsive, flexible and clearly cared very much about the quality of the work that he and his team completed. Furthermore, we felt that he was always fair and reasonable with us, both in terms of the initial estimate and additions to scope we made throughout the project. Udi often made recommendations he felt would drive better results. For example, we had believed we needed to remove our 2-story fireplace for earthquake safety; after checking again with our engineer, he confirmed Udi's suggestion that it was not necessary, saving us that cost. As another example, we had planned to build a small closet in our crawlspace. However, Udi recommended that we actually use another location, which allowed us to have a much larger, nicer closet than we had initially anticipated, adding huge storage to our house. Lastly, we were reassured that Udi knew and followed the State of California's rules set by the Contractors State License Board. read more

TL/DR: Our project took longer than expected because of COVID, but we got exactly what we wanted and it was a pleasure working with Udi. Our existing, pretty large garage had a one-car bay, a roughly finished in the 40s or 50s separate room, and a large attic storage area above both spaces. We wanted to reconfigure the garage so that we could have a guest house with a lofted play area while retaining the one-car parking bay and some storage. Udi was recommended by our architect as a contractor experienced with garage conversions. From the first consultation, it was clear that (unlike other contractors we met with) Udi was honest, straightforward, and would listen to what we wanted. We expected a 3 month project but had some issues with a pump installation (this was a vendor/city inspector issue, out of our and Udi's control) that put us behind schedule just as COVID was spreading in late March. Udi went to bat for us with the city to be sure that our doors and window could be installed to close our structure from the weather before the COVID shutdown went into effect. Once it was safe for work to proceed again, Udi had a lot of suggestions about ways to work around supply chain issues in the wake of the COVID epidemic. He was responsive through the ups and downs and we always felt like he was in our corner. The project is finished now and we absolutely love it. While we won't be hosting anyone soon we are enjoying the space and spending all our time in our new and improved backyard cottage! read more

It was a pleasure to work with Lion Group Construction on our garage remodel. We met with 6 contractors, and Lion Group was by far the most responsive and reasonable, and they were the only group to provide a comprehensive scope of work detailing the quote for the job. Udi and his team were extremely professional, talented, and respectful. The work quality and attention to detail were exceptional and they finished earlier than expected! Communication was top notch through it all We can't recommend Lion Group more highly! We're already looking forward to working with them again in the future! read more

I've done numerous hours on researching and interviewing many contractors because it was very important to me to find the "Right Contractor" since I was going to trust them with my house for some time. It was a MASSIVE WHOLE HOUSE Project involving installation of over 20+ recessed lightings, removal of popcorn ceiling, whole new painting and wood flooring for living room, family, room, kitchen remodel including cabinets, sink etc, installing new patio door and modifying/painting existing brick fireplace (CHECK OUT THE PICS). I'd give 5000000** STARS if I could!!! I'm so HAPPY and GRATEFUL to have Udi as my contractor for many reasons but there are 3 main reasons why I think he is THE BEST: (1) COMMUNICATION: communication is the very important key for everything and Udi was THE BEST PERSON when it comes to communication. I was able to get a quick response from Udi about anything (progress, colors, materials, designs etc) via text messages, phone call, photos with comments or even Videos!!! Since this was my first renovation, I had many questions about the project. When I asked for his expertise, Udi was there to give me professional advices and recommendations. To be honest, I felt bad for asking him 1000s questions but he always answered them quickly without any irritations :) For example, I was going to add chandelier on high vaulted ceiling but Udi recommended adding 6 recessed light (dimmable) instead--THE BEST IDEA EVER!!! (after my decision to hire him, of course :) (2) WORK ETHIC/PUNCTUALITY: Udi has been working with his team of employees for many years--very important factor for me since they're NOT just temporarily-hired workers for short-term (a big no-no for me). His team of experts (painters, cabinet fabricators, repair guys etc) all enjoyed working on this project and they had very good work ethics. All the guys always arrived on time to work and even worked late hours to finish up the project if needed. Even when I stopped by to check on things, they were more than happy to answer my questions and kept me updated on what's going on. (3) FLEXIBILITY: Before starting the house renovation, Udi gave me a very realistic scopes of project in order with price for each step (**HUGE PLUS since you PAY what you AGREE ON--NO HIDDEN FEE). Udi and his team executed each step superbly within reasonable time. Even when I added some additional projects (painting etc) last minute, he was very professional about it and was able to accommodate my requests flawlessly. We all know renovation can be very stressful. Before I met Udi, I heard so many horrible stories about contractors being shady and untrustworthy. Not only Udi was able to make my dream-home come true with his great workmanship, but he also gave me peace of mind throughout this rather stressful process with his professionalism and expertise. Knowing that I was in great hands made this experience very pleasant and the renovation result was astonishing! (check out the Before/After Photos!) Any contractor can fix the house the way you want but that does NOT guarantee the quality of work or more importantly, peace of mind. I sincerely appreciate Udi and his team for their great work and I would definitely recommend Udi for anyone! read more

Wow, simply fantastic! After a solar company did some major damage to my roof and the side of my house I needed someone to come in and help fix it. I had my roofer redo most of the roof, but that still left the side of the house where the solar company decided to drill so they could connect to my subpanel (the plans stated it was to connect outside). Needless to say, this wasn't a big job, but Udi was super responsive and sent some guys over within a few days. These guys were quick and did some top rated work! I'm looking to do some additional work on my house in the near future and these will be the first guys that I call! read more

I found Udi and his team on Yelp for a small job to move our washer/dryer to another part of the house and replace all of our interior doors. Moving the washer/dryer involved breaking into some pre-existing closets and rerouting all of the electrical, plumbing, and gas lines to another part of the house. The experience was seamless. Udi is a great communicator and always ensured his guys understood exactly what we were envisioning. His crew, Pablo and Caeser, were fantastic and a pleasure to have around even while my wife and I were working from home all day. They were clean, respectful and answered any questions we had. Even though this was a small job, I will 100% be calling Udi when it's time for our next big home renovation. read more

We hired Udi and his team at Lion Construction to renovate our garage a bit early this Summer. From the get go, Udi was incredibly responsive and when the time came to do an on-site review, he provided some really helpful suggestions that really made the space come alive and go from something good to truly great. Throughout the construction process, Udi's team was regularly on-time and highly communicative of what they were up to during the day and if I needed to be around to provide any feedback or comment on any of the smaller (but always critically important) details. When everything was wrapped up, I couldn't believe my eyes! Our once 1950s untouched carport-turned-garage turned about to be absolutely amazing and is actually a space I enjoy being in! Highly recommended! read more

Wow i just had contractor that came out to my house today to bid on my job. This guy was completely rude. I was planning to use them for my back yard project my budget was $80,000 in cash for them to put in a pavers and retaining wall and rebuild my deck. I guess since i don;t live in a high end neighborhood he didn;t want to take on the job. he told me that my project would be well over $120,000 for the small items i wanted to do. I got a few other bids and they are in lined with my price. I honestly think this company was being racism towards me as well he was making rude comments to me the entire time. Please be careful when having this company come out for a bid. make sure you live in a high rich neighborhood other wise Lion Group Construction will not want to work with you since my budget was so small. which was $80,000 i think that how that got the name Lion because the contractor is exremely mean mean like a LION!! read more

Lion Group did a great job on our home updates. We hired them to update our bathroom, floors and some other needs throughout the house. They were incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. They actually finished a bit ahead of the original timeline which we very much appreciated. Would definitely hire them again. read more

We had thought about our bathroom and kitchen remodel ever since we moved in. Last summer we finally decided it's time and started to look at options. We looked online, found a few construction companies and set up a couple meetings. We weren't really set on any of them but we were at point where we were willing to settle and just booked with someone to get it done. Luckily, in the process we saw our neighbor outside and got to talking about our project. She told us we have to talk to Udi, her friend and contractor. Udi was able to stop by a couple days later. He listened, looked at the space, gave us his thoughts and ideas and actually made us feel very comfortable, a feeling we didn't get from any of the other contractors we had met. He didn't push to sign a contract right away like all the others we met with, and his price was pretty competitive too. We knew it was a match, he sent us to a few of suppliers he works with to look at tile, vanities and material he suggested and we scheduled to meet a week later. We finalized the details and got to work 3 weeks after. Udi and his crew were able to finish both the bathroom and kitchen at the same time. He was very communicative with us throughout the whole process and was on site every day, always present to sit with us when needed and overall just made us feel like we're in good hands. The workers were great, knew their craft and were very clean and professional. They finished a beautiful kitchen and bathroom remodel in less then 5 weeks! We couldn't have been happier and we love our new kitchen. We're looking forward to working with Udi again next year on for our guest bathroom! read more

We worked with Udi and his team to remodel most of the interior of our newly bought home. In fact, if we had not come into contact with Udi, we may not have made the decision to buy a home that needed so much work. Throughout the process, Udi and his team had a positive approach and can-do attitude which made me feel comfortable working with them, asking questions, and making requests. Udi helped us come up with a viable plan within our budget, then opened up the kitchen floorplan, transformed a closet onto a bathroom with a steam shower, completely remodeled the primary bath, installed oak flooring, and (particularly impressive to me) matched an obscure colored ceiling stain so that we could retain our wood ceiling rather than painting it white when they rebuilt part of the kitchen ceiling. I would recommend Udi and team if you have a big project and a tight timeline.. they really make it happen. I appreciated the straightforward process and Udi's friendly and professional manner.
