Y Group were really great to work with on our complete bathroom remodel -- to the extent I'm about to ask them to quote for my kitchen! Aaron had thoughtful ideas about new layouts for our small bathroom, and kindly returned to work through a second concept. He had a great balance of listening to our needs, plus honestly telling us when in his professional experience something wouldn't work in our small room. Their price was right in line with other quotes and we chose Y Group based on Aaron's collaborative approach with us. Paola managed the project and was amazing to work with. She was also very collaborative in approach, and met us multiple times in different showrooms to look at options for tiles, cabinets etc. She had great design ideas while also hearing us on our tastes and preferences. Once the project started she regularly checked in on progress, and dealt with the minor issues that always come up with large projects professionally. We went with a custom vanity and linen closet design from Luis and Gervin, cabinet makers they work with regularly -- it looks and feels wonderful and really maximized the usable space vs. commercial options. Walter the foreman did great work throughout, especially with the large 24x48" tiles. These are hard to work with, and every joint is perfect. Our small bathroom needed a lot of thoughtful touches to really come together, and they nailed it -- the design has really transformed the space. I highly recommend Y Group Remodeling! read more

We didn't end up using their services. But their response time is impeccable. They came right on time and quote was also delivered very timely. If we had the budget we would have gone with them. Unfortunately their quote was higher than we can manage. read more

We love our new kitchen! From the very beginning, Aaron was great when he came by our house to create a bid. He was professional and had good suggestions. The price was reasonable and I was confident that Y Group were the right ones to remodel our kitchen. Working with Johana and Paola were lovely as they have a good eye and are always in communication with their crew. Everyone was very responsive any time we had questions or concerns on anything. They were patient with us and very knowledgeable. The guys - Walter, Bilal, and Ruben were great! They are a good team and worked very efficiently on our kitchen. Very kind, polite, and left the work areas clean each day. Y Group finished our project on time and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone! read more

After looking around for contractors to remodel our whole house, we decided to go with Y Group Remodeling. We got quite a few quotes from both local and out-of-town companies. Y Group is local to us, and while their quote wasn't the cheapest, it was very reasonable for the scope of the work. Overall, the project went really smoothly. Of course, with a full house remodel, there were some hurdles along the way, but what really stood out was how the crew and the foreman handled them, they always found a solution. The crew is incredibly fast, efficient, and honestly, just really trustworthy. Whenever a mistake or an unexpected issue popped up, they were completely transparent about it, walked us through the options, and asked how we wanted to proceed. They are incredibly knowledgeable and resourceful. I'd definitely recommend them to friends and family. read more

We recently completed a major home renovation with The Y Group--including our kitchen, downstairs flooring, lighting, bathroom, bar, and built-in bookshelf--and we cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, professional, and genuinely enjoyable. We moved into this home five years ago and always backed out of getting our kitchen done because we the thought of the time and utter inconvenience was daunting. Enter Y Group...From day one, the team showed up on time, every day, and worked diligently and neatly on every aspect of the job. They took pride in their workmanship and it showed--every detail was executed with care. We always felt comfortable having them in our home and never once worried that our house was in the wrong hands. One of the standout aspects of working with The Y Group was how collaborative they were. They asked for input where needed and really listened to ensure each decision made sense for us--both functionally and aesthetically. They guided us through the process without ever being pushy, helping us create spaces that fit our lifestyle beautifully. A huge added bonus was that they personally accompanied us to choose the major materials. They took a genuine interest in the quality and longevity of what we selected. Their expertise helped us feel confident in every choice. Once the project was complete, they asked us to use everything and look around to see if anything can be fixed. They came over for weeks upon time to continue getting fixes done in a timely and neat manner. What impressed us even more: they didn't begin construction until all materials had arrived. Because of that, the project moved incredibly efficiently once it started--and to our delight, they finished ahead of the promised timeline. In the world of renovations, that's almost unheard of. Aaron, Johana and Paola - as well as our foreman Alfredo. All of them are simply fabulous. We never met contractors so professional, friendly and on top of their work ethic. It was a pleasure and we are definitely in love with our new space. We are so grateful for their reliability, craftsmanship, professionalism, and partnership throughout this process. Our home looks stunning, functions perfectly for our family, and the entire journey was far less stressful than we could have imagined--thanks entirely to The Y Group. If you're considering a remodel, we wholeheartedly recommend them. They truly go above and beyond. read more

We hired YGroup for a major remodel and couldn't be happier with both the process and the final result. From start to finish, everything was well-organized, professional, and far less stressful than we expected. The designers, Paola and Johanna, were fantastic to work with. They truly listened to what we wanted, adjusted designs to match our vision, and made sure we were always on the right track aesthetically. Their attention to how everything flowed and complemented the rest of the home gave us a lot of confidence throughout the process. Our project included completely redoing our downstairs guest bathroom, a full demo and remodel of the kitchen, redoing the stairs, all new flooring and paint throughout the house, adding recessed lighting throughout, a complete redo of the wet bar, updating our old hutch into an elegant arch, adding two chandeliers, new baseboards, and a redesigned foyer with a checkerboard floor. It was a large scope of work, but YGroup handled it seamlessly. One thing we really appreciated was having a single group to communicate with. YGroup managed all of the logistics for us, including bringing in the engineer, handling inspections, and filing permit paperwork. Having them handle those details made the entire process feel manageable and much less stressful with our busy schedules. A special shoutout to the foreman leads, Javier and Abel, and their crew, for doing an excellent job managing the project on-site. Communication was consistent, and any concerns we had were addressed promptly. Despite the size of the project, everything was completed in about three months, just in time for us to host Christmas. We're extremely happy we chose YGroup and we highly recommend them! read more

We had a great experience working with Y Group Remodeling to renovate our bathroom. They were professional, communicative, and efficient throughout the entire process, starting with our initial meeting with Aaron, who took our list of requirements for the bathroom and quickly put together multiple options and quotes. One big perk for us that set Y Group apart from other contractors was the inclusion of designers who went with us to showrooms to select materials. Without Paola and Joana's design expertise it would have taken us 10x longer to select the exact tiles, flooring, etc., and I am convinced it would not have turned out as nicely! The Y Group team was always available via text to give input and recommendations around any design choices. Along the way we added features and had to pivot from our original plan, and the Y Group team was always quick to accommodate and also very clear in sending revised quotes so that we were immediately aware of updated costs and timeline. The workers who came to our house were the sweetest father-son team who worked quickly and efficiently and did a great job of involving us for real-time decisions and bringing us in to review progress. They were clean and always left the bathroom tidy at the end of the day. We had always heard that home renovations take longer and end up being more expensive than the original estimates, but in this case thanks to the team's clear communication, there were no hidden costs and they actually finished even a bit earlier than their initial estimate, which was an awesome surprise. We love our new bathroom and can't wait to work with Y Group Remodeling for all our future home renos. Thank you to Aaron, Paola, Johana, Alfredo, & Alfredo for everything! read more

We had Y Group Remodeling do a full remodel of our master bath, guest bath, and powder room, and we're absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out. The look we wanted was minimalist and timeless, and they nailed it--our master bath now feels like a spa with great tile and texture accents. From the start, communication was excellent. I first reached out through their website, and Aaron got back to me right away to set up an estimate. Johanna and Paola, their designers/project managers, were fantastic to work with. They really listened to our ideas, made smart suggestions, and even helped us deal with vendor issues (wrong tile, missing items, etc.) so we didn't have to stress. The crew, led by Walter and his brother, was just as great--professional, respectful of our home, and careful to minimize disruption. They protected floors and furniture, set up a portable toilet, and staggered the work so we always had a working bathroom available. We interviewed more than 10 contractors before choosing Y Group, and while they weren't the cheapest (and not the most expensive either), the value was 100% worth it. Having in-house designers guiding us the whole way made a huge difference. The final result exceeded what we imagined, and we'd absolutely recommend Y Group Remodeling to anyone looking for a quality remodel. read more

We worked with Y Group Remodeling for our full kitchen and bar remodeling. The whole process of remodeling was stress free and seamless. Both Johana and Aaron were very responsive. After the initial contracts were signed, Johana helped us with sourcing all the materials. I just had to provide some vision board for the kitchen and she managed to find a good amount of retailers we could choose from, They ranged from different price ranges, so we could go with the best retailer that suited our budget. Javier and team were very diligent and paid attention to details. Their work was flawless and all the countertop work done was top knotch. I have to mention Paola's design eye. She was so great to work with. I was not happy with the hood I ordered from Hoodsly, It looked plain and boring, but Paola suggest improvements to the look and it is currently the main focal point. Aaron and Johanna are consummate professionals who provide impeccable work with perfect communication throughout... We hired Y Group to save the day when another construction company turned-out to be below par for our standards. This was a highly customized job with a lot of moving parts and sub-contractors, including wallpaper installers and custom counter fabricators. All of that being said, Aaron and Johanna were as on top of the schedule, if not more so, than we were ourselves. Johanna made sure to point out any oversights, missing parts and inconsistencies throughout the process to avoid any delays. Additionally, anything we asked to be revisited, finished differently, or changed last minute, was dealt with promptly and with enthusiasm. I cannot rave enough about this team and their work, and I will be using them for many projects moving forward. I cannot speak more highly of Y Group Remodeling! Their team is FANTASTIC and truly made our visions come to life. Not only are they a pleasure to work with but they are fast! As we tell our friends and family about our experience, they are in awe. You don't often have great things to say about contractors but we do! Johana and Yarin were upfront about costs and explained all the details along the way. We didn't experience any crazy cost changes or significant delays. We even ended up adding additional rooms to be remodeled mid project due to their fantastic work and partnership. I truly felt lost in this whole process but they put me at ease and exceeded my expectations. Johana is an incredible guide and so helpful throughout the entire process when we were undecided or needed genuine feedback. We started with only remodeling the bathrooms and ended up with a remodeled kitchen and laundry room as well. If you are deciding between contractors, this is the one to choose. Where do I start? Our home was built in 1962. We bought it in 2000. The previous owners did a DIY job in the kitchen. The project was to install new flooring throughout the house and a brand new kitchen. We couldn't be happier with the results. We live in a 20 year old condo and decided to update our Master bath to match the newer builds in our area in Dublin. I researched many companies, but Y Group was the most communicative and responsive. I reached out for a consultation on Yelp and received a response within an hour and was able to set up an in person consultation within the next couple of days. Aaron and Joanna were both very responsive and helpful in the process. I informed them that I am very picky and every detail matters to me. They informed me they will put together a team for our job that is very detail oriented. And they succeeded. They created a group messaging between us and them, and told us they are available every step of the way. And they definitely were! I can only shop on the weekends as I travel a lot for work. They reassured me they will be available to me on the weekends. Husband and I bombarded them with pictures and questions. They advised us all the way through with guidance on materials, colors, vendors. We had a couple of change orders because we decided to add changing of doors, removing a medicine cabinet, and painting the bedroom. No problem. Aaron set up the change orders right away and set up painters to start as soon as our bathroom was complete. Everyone on their team or who worked on the project was professional, respected our home and space and was also communicative about their schedule and time. We absolutely LOVE our upgrade/remodel. I wanted our bathroom to have a timeless but modern look to replicate luxury resorts, and that was our end result. Absolutely beautiful. Every detail. Y Group remodeled our 70 square foot bathroom in our house in Oakland. We walked five contractors through the job. All five contractors proposed on the remodel. Aaron and Johanna were the best combination of knowledgeable, insightful people to talk to and pricing. We asked to talk to two people they'd done bathroom remodels for. Those two people both confirmed that Y Group delivered the project for the stated price in the stated amount time. So we hired them. They were an excellent team that brought a series of experienced, skilled suppliers and builders to the project. The main day to day people for us were Javi and Abel - both excellent people that we enjoyed working with as well. We were in almost daily contact with Johanna and Aaron via a Whats App group selecting products and materials. We had no architect or designer, we did all that ourselves with Johanna's advice - her advice was invaluable, the selection of products and materials is better for her. The work was done for the price quoted in the time stated. All three inspections with the City of Oakland were passed with no comments or delay. The photos show the bathroom before during and after. It was a full demolition with much of the plumbing and electrical being rerouted and relocated. We would not hesitate to use them again should the chance arise. read more

Aaron and Joanna were super easy to work with, beginning with the initial consultation. We have a 70-year-old house in San Leandro's Washington Manor area. We had done zero major remodeling on the inside of the house in the past 27 years, and we were looking to redo our kitchen. They listened to want we wanted - and didn't want - and didn't try to upsell us or promise something they couldn't deliver. Their bid was clear and concise and very reasonable and in line with the other bids we received. They walked me through the raw materials that we would need to purchase, and were incredibly helpful, patent, and responsive, as I sent them a barrage of texts (frequently on the weekends) with questions. "What about this tile?", "What about this color." "Which is better - this or that?" They estimated it would take 4 weeks to complete the job. Everyone I told that to, laughed at me and said no way. BUT - they did it, even with Thanksgiving thrown in there! The construction crews that came out did a great job. Headed by Ervin and Jesus respectively, they were meticulous, they kept the work area clean at the conclusion of each day, checked in with us with questions and/or issues. When we did have issues with the flooring not laying correctly in an area due to the underflooring, they worked with us to resolve it. They also were quick to come back and fix a couple minor things that had been overlooked. I would highly recommend them! read more

Hello,  I had an absolutely great experience with Y Remodel team for my recent remodel project in Danville.  The scope included kitchen, laundry and powder room remodel as well as floor tiles replacement throughout the public areas.  We found Y Remodel team through online and had a smooth experience from the time we contacted them. Both Aaron and Joanna are amazing to work with and have the appropriate skilled crew to tackle remodels. We are super happy to have done our remodel with them and will definitely be going only with them during any future remodels.  Here are some of the things we loved about our experience:  1. They are very friendly, helpful and professional at the same time.  2. They do project management and also interior designer type of support work during remodel. 3. Joanna goes above and beyond to help her clients select the best materials and designs based on their vision. She guides you to places you can go, is willing to come with you to stores too and is always there during your design and purchase decisions. I don't think we would have managed the design and purchase without her help. She is truly a gem!  4. The crew they work with are really good too. Trustworthy, professional and reliable.  5. The turnaround time for change order quotes and processing was smooth with Aaron.  6. When you work with Aaron and Joanna, you really feel like you're heard and not left alone. It's a great partnership to achieve the same goal. They don't have any hidden agenda.  7. The final touch ups and final detailing was really well done too. Joanna made sure it looked elegant!  8. For Y Remodel team, the happiness lies with when their clients are satisfied.  9. They travel to each project property almost daily while the work is going on to make sure it's going smooth.  10. They also help you understand any risks and issues they notice in general about the remodeled area.  11. Excellent communication skills. Always available for a phone call and very responsive on the messages as well. I never felt like I was left hanging.  In summary, we are super grateful for the Y Remodel team to make our dream come true! Joanna especially goes above and beyond and I truly couldn't have done the remodel without her expertise, guidance, knowledge and availability. We will definitely hire them again for any remodel on our house. read more

We were looking for a new contractor to finish a downstairs remodel after having to terminate our last contractor. Having had bad experiences with two different contractors for two different projects we needed to find one that would do quality work and not try to charge us outrageous amounts of money or to delay the project so they can get paid more. Luckily we were able to find Y Group Remodeling. They came and took a look at the work that was already done and were actually apprehensive about taking over a job done by another contractor, which is understandable. Luckily for us, after speaking with them they took the job. Johana is very hands-on when it comes to her crew and makes sure that things are done in a timely fashion. Her attention to detail is great as she will have her workers or subcontractors come back to fix things that does not go with the clients preferences. She would always let us know what was happening and what they would need. Her foreman, Abel was also great. He always kept us in the loop after the day and always told us what was going to be done the following day so we didn't have to guess and wonder what was going to happen. I've placed my trust in Johanna and Aaron's team to remodel my bathroom and to upgrade my fireplace niche and they did a fantastic job! Here are the reasons why you should hire them: 1. Communication: This is a very big consideration for me. I always treat the first meeting like an interview. Do they From the very beginning, I felt so comfortable with them for they listen, are engaged and very authentic. After meeting with them, I did not look any further. Surely, their excellent communication skills carried through the entire project. 2. Timeliness: They committed to finishing the project in three weeks and they delivered. Moreover, they also shared the dependencies of the project (project start date - when all the materials arrive and when the city inspector would schedule their visit)...so it was clear from the very beginning what to expect. 3. Budget: Again, from the very beginning, they assessed my requirements and came back to me with an itemized list of how much the project would cost. There were no surprises for me as we remained on budget. 4. Quality of Work: Superb! The team that worked on my remodel arrived on time everyday. They were precise and are so skilled in interpreting my vision. Additionally, Aaron and Danny came over several thru the duration of the project to check on quality and ensured that things are working well. 5. Differentiating Factor: What stood the most for me is their customer service. They went above and beyond and I recommend them to anyone who wants to have a seamless and high quality work for their projects. They went with me to select the items I needed to provide advice and suggestions. Finally, hiring them was the best decision I made. We had a great experience working with Aaron, Joanna, Jose and Juan at Y Group Remodeling. We had a kitchen remodel that had gone completely off the rails with another contractor. When we called Y Group Remodeling, we were part way through the project and had no kitchen and a bunch of cabinets piled up waiting to be installed. I got three bids for contractors to take over the project. Y Group's bid was fair and reasonably priced for the scope of work. I feel so blessed that we found them! Aaron was able to get the project back on track within a few days of signing the contract. He and Joanna were both good sounding boards for us to make final decisions, and they truly felt like our partners in the project. The work quality was excellent, and Jose, who was on site doing the work every day, was very committed to keeping us happy and informed as we worked. He did a good job checking in with us about the little things like where we wanted the shelves, or which dimmer switches we wanted, and how low to hang the chandelier. The whole team was responsive and easy to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for our next project! read more

Extremely unprofessional group, specifically Aaron. I have worked with several general contractors, but they are very unprofessional, don't do what they say/when they visit. Have several last minute changes and an unplanned schedule. It's not worth it even if they tell you they will give a better deal, because it's untrustworthy. read more

We are a very happy and satisfied customer with Y-Group. We were quite overwhelmed with all the issues going on when the project started, not just remodeling, Aaron and his team really worked hard to make it as hassle free as possible for us. They are responsive, supportive, the project timing is well managed. The team on site (Ervin and his crew) worked hard consistently, being sensitive to the environment, showed great workmanship and delivered high quality end results. Overall, this is my best remodeling experience so far! Please keep up the good work. read more

It's been 5 days since our kitchen remodel was completed. I can find absolutely nothing wrong! Y Group's estimate was reasonable. Johana and Aaron came out within the week to see what we had in mind. We had a potential problem with a load bearing wall, and they had a structural engineer at our home in a few days. They are sticklers for having all the supplies on hand so there is no delay in waiting for something to arrive. It works! There were no stops; there was at least one worker here M-F, and occasionally on a weekend day to finish the project not in in the 6 expected weeks but in less than 5. When there was something unexpected or a worker wasn't sure what I wanted, they made no assumptions and always asked. In fact, Johana or lead workers Abel and Javier offered suggestions and they were likely to be better than what I had in mind. Johana and Aaron stopped by often to check on the progress. Especially Johana went over everything with a fine-tooth comb and had anything not to her satisfaction corrected. Having been through various remodels with different contractors and work crews, I can say this is the most positive project with the most honest, helpful, congenial people we have worked with. Indeed, as my husband said, 'who ever thought we would be sad to have workers leave?" read more
