Triangle Construction did an amazing job putting together my beautiful new dining room table. It was originally all wood, but I wanted a rustic French farmhouse style table. Painted a black base with a burgundy layer on the tabletop in stylized strokes. Sanded the edges a bit to give it a rustic vibe, and finished with a semi-gloss spray to seal. The attention to detail here really stood out to me. He tried a few different brush strokes to see which I preferred and noted that some stroke styles may stand out more than others after the finishing spray dries. He was great at listening to my opinions while also giving experienced advice. They did a wonderful job bringing my vision to life! This review is long overdue! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Triangle Construction. I am so grateful that we were put in touch with Daniel when we were having work bid for our new house. The renovation process for our particular situation was extremely tedious and required a lot of time sensitive paperwork and scheduling. Having worked with other contractors I knew that it was something that would be over and above the usual requirements of a contractor. Daniel was a godsend. From day one he was responsive to all correspondence and extremely patient with what our needs were leading up to the job. Once Triangle actually got in there is when they truly shined. The work was immaculate. My vision for our kitchen and wall removal came to life exactly as I envisioned it. The results far exceeded our expectations. In addition to the great work, Daniel and his crew are also some of the nicest people you will meet and they treat your home with the utmost respect. Well I guess my review will be one of the few one star reviews of Triangle Construction. I wish I was one of those providing the five stars but my experience with them was much different. This review is my experience trying to get an estimate from them to replace the windows in my house. In January of this year I requested a quote via Yelp to set up an appointment for an estimate to replace the windows in my house. The owner responded after a couple of days but meanwhile I had called the company directly. It was a couple of days before someone responded to my voicemail message. I spoke with Nicole who was very friendly. I explained I have a list of remodeling things to be done but that I was starting with the windows. She said they were booking out in April/May for large projects and weren't even setting up appointments for estimates until February. I said no problem that I wasn't in any rush. Nicole called me around the first of February just as she had said she would to set up the appointment - we set it up for Friday, February 9th. On Thursday, February 8th she called and explained a worker was out because their mother had died - the person who does the estimates was helping out and couldn't make it to my appointment. We rescheduled to Friday, February 23rd. About 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 22nd (the evening before the appointment) the guy who does the estimates called me and one of the first things he said was to ask if I was getting any other bids for this work. When I asked why he wanted to know this he said they don't work with people who get multiple bids. He explained that it's not worth their time because people who get multiple bids are looking for the lowest estimate and their company comes in around mid-range so they lose out. Also, potential clients take a long time to make a decision about who they hire because they wait on these additional bids. It's a waste of time for them to keep calling these potential clients back week after week just to be told no decision yet because their other bids aren't in. Apparently this is a recent decision from the owner. They want potential clients to ONLY rely on the 5 star yelp reviews for their company. It was a very surreal conversation. He was a little defensive and brisk. I got the impression that he decided before he called that he wasn't going to come out to give me an estimate. My impression is that they have so much work that their company is experiencing some major growing pains. Their customer service is suffering. The California Contractors State License Board website states for consumers to "shop around before hiring a contractor", and to "get at least three written bids on your project." read more

I had a sudden damage issue with my subflooring and I was very concerned about the potential cost and the extent of the problem. His team went under my house, discerned it was very minor even though it looked big, assured me not to do a claim on my home insurance as he could fix it for way less than my deductible, and he was right!! It's fixed, my wallet isn't hammered and I'm happy with the results! I needed three sets of closet doors put in and was not happy with some of the estimates and service levels I had already received. Then I remembered that Daniel and his team lead the building project at our local church! Because my project was relatively small in comparison to the construction project at the church, I initially reached out for a referral. When Daniel said he and his team could take care of it, I was thrilled! When it came down to the professionalism and quality of work, I was blown away. His team was always on time, communicative, and clean! Daniel even went above and beyond and let my little doggy out of his crate when the job was done since I was still at work. We recently had three home issues come up, and as relatively new homeowners of around 2 years, this was our first time needing to hire contractors. First, we had water damage to our laundry room wall via exterior leaks - the house had a retrofitted window and cracks in the outside were causing water (and subsequently, ants) to come into our house. Second, our upstairs master bathroom toilet was leaking and causing water damage to the living room ceiling below. And finally, a corner shelf had cracked off our shower wall. I got estimates from 3 local contractors. Mike from Triangle came out and did a great job listening to our issues and breaking down the estimated price of each job. The two other contractors were both more expensive (one quoted us 3x the price of Triangle!) and less flexible on dates. Triangle was the clear winner. I also spoke several times via email and phone with a woman from Triangle named Courtney, who was friendly, patient, and helpful in answering all my (admittedly novice) questions. Mike even met me at Home Depot to look at replacement windows and toilets. Daniel & Mike completed the projects in 3 days, and only slightly over budget due to unforeseen plumbing issues from a small puncture in one of our pipes hidden above the ceiling. My wife stays at home with our two kids and I worked from home during those three days, and Daniel & Mike were non-obtrusive, efficient, and very friendly with our whole family. And the work they did was stellar - everything looks as good (and better in the case of our exterior window trim) than it had before. We had such a positive experience that our neighbors are now looking into them for their own home issues, and we're hoping to use them again for several other lingering projects in the near future. This review is long overdue. I had a water leak that was causing the paint in my bathroom to separate from the drywall. As a result, I had to remodel the bathroom to find and fix the source of the leak. Making an appointment for an estimate was a breeze and Mike B. gave a detailed estimate for the work that needed to be done. I appreciate how thorough they are because even though we suspected that the leak was coming from outside, they still had a plumber come check the overhead pipes to make sure that was not the source of the leak. They came on time everyday, completed the work quickly and were great about remedying any concerns. I now love my new bathroom. We were very picky about how we wanted the transition to look and they did it perfectly! They also patched around the hole to get the wine fridge to fit. For this project I worked with Mike, Daniel, another Mike, and Frank. All of them are very friendly, professional, and easy to work with. Most importantly, they do what they promise, punctual and responsive. This seems to be a very simply requirement, yet I find it to be the most difficult part when dealing with contractors; if you have dealt with them a lot in the past, you know what I mean. The work they did was simply beautiful. They paid a lot of attention to details and made sure everything they put up is perfect. If you are finicky about your cabinets to be perfectly leveled to the nano-meter degree of accuracy, then these are your guys. For the high-end quality of work, the price they charged was very reasonable, but having said that, if you are working with a tighter budget (like myself), you could get cheaper deals somewhere else, and live with some imperfections that us mere mortals can't tell anyway. read more

We agreed on a start date a few weeks later. The team showed up on time (to the minute!). The different contractors worked well together and the communication was amazing. Next steps happened quickly and efficiently, over the following couple weeks: new electrical layout, modern lighting, switching the cooktop from electric to gas - including laying in a new gas line, replastering, and painting. We'd bought a new style of cabinets, Kraftmade's High Gloss, through Home Depot, and chose to have HD's partner put them in to keep things simple. That complicated scheduling for Triangle, but they met the challenge, and were soon back to tile the backsplashes, install the new sink and the appliances, and even contrive the wiring for a "pop up" electric receptacle on our new peninsula cabinets.
