Construction & More... A Remodel Nightmare Our kitchen and bathroom remodel with Construction & More (C&M) was an extremely frustrating experience. We chose C&M because their proposal fit our budget, they committed to a 1-2 month completion timeline in the contract, and their Google reviews gave us confidence in moving forward. Unfortunately, our experience was very different. The project began on April 28, 2026, with an expected completion by the end of June. Our kitchen and bathrooms were not completed until August 15. Here are some of the major issues we encountered: Incorrect permit C&M pulled a permit for what was described as a "like-for-like" remodel, even though the project involved moving closet walls, relocating plumbing fixtures, and adding a new electrical subpanel. We were subsequently required to address the permitting issue, resulting in approximately $1,200 in permit costs and several weeks of delay. Multiple failed plumbing inspections The bathroom plumbing failed two rough inspections due to the same issue: improper horizontal venting. By late July, we were extremely concerned about getting the plumbing corrected. We consulted three independent plumbers, and all three recommended removing the existing installation and starting over. When I raised these concerns with Joseph, the project manager, and explained that correcting the plumbing was estimated to cost approximately $10,000, his response was essentially that I should hire someone else if I didn't trust him. C&M ultimately brought in their plumbing company, which removed all of the existing plumbing and installed it again correctly. We finally passed the plumbing inspection on July 30. Kitchen did not match the agreed-upon design One of our specific design requirements was for the kitchen cabinets to extend to the ceiling. They did not. This was a major disappointment because it was clearly discussed as a "must-have" element of the design. Poor project management and communication The final month was particularly difficult. When we asked for realistic completion dates, Joseph frequently became defensive and frustrated, and we were repeatedly told that various items would be completed "by Friday." Those dates repeatedly came and went. The biggest issue was the lack of clear project management and accountability. We often felt that commitments were being made without a realistic understanding of what remained to be completed. My husband, who is very handy, ultimately spent approximately 10 days working at the house himself to help get it ready for our family members' July 30 move-in. He also needed to be on-site to monitor the work and make sure issues were addressed correctly. I want to be clear that I do not blame the individual crew members, who worked hard and were generally doing their best under difficult circumstances. My concerns are primarily with project management. In particular, I found Joseph to be disengaged and dismissive throughout much of the project. He was not present for any of the inspections and often relied on an assistant to photograph the progress rather than coming to the job site himself to assess the work. After months of delays, rework, failed inspections, and frustration, we finally passed our final inspection on August 26 and can put this experience behind us. To be fair, there were times when C&M worked hard to get the project completed, and we are ultimately pleased with the finished kitchen and bathrooms. However, the process was far more difficult and time-consuming than it should have been. This was our fourth major remodeling project, and by far our most difficult experience. I am sharing our experience because I believe prospective customers deserve to know what happened--not simply how the finished project looks, but what it took to get there. I contacted three companies on Yelp and eventually hired Construction & More to do a bathroom remodel and was very happy with this Oren and his crew. My remodel included a complete redo of a second bathroom, including changing shower/tub to walk in shower. Their price was competitive but keep in mind it is for labor and design, and you must buy everything else including paint and grout. So, you need to factor that into your budget, but that gives you flexibility - do you want a $2,000 Toto bidet or a basic toilet? Simple mirror or $1,700 Madeli LED mirror? But the design team helps you develop a complete shopping list so you can buy the right items for your budget. Don't discount the design work up, it is a huge benefit. When we redid our bathroom years ago, there were no 3D renderings to preview the design. But Construction & More has a design team that meets with you and helps you develop colors, styles, finishes, and eventually puts together a 3D rendering so you can see if you like your choices or not. Big help. Other companies charge you separate but Construction & More builds this cost into their estimate (kinda like salad coming with the dinner and not having to buy it ala carte). It's a huge help in making your decisions. But you also must factor this phase into your timeline because it can go slow or fast depending on your design choices and re-designs. It took us about 7-10 days to finalize the design and shopping list. Oren promised a 4-week completion and he stuck to his word. In fact, 90% of the construction work was done in 3 weeks. The glass takes a longer because the sub will only measure after tile is installed, and then it takes about 2 weeks to fabricate and install the glass. Other than that, some punch list items dragged on but that's to be expected. At least Oren was very receptive and willing to work with us on items we pointed out (rather than get defensive and refuse to fix stuff). We quoted about eight reputable contractors, and C&M's cost estimation is one the more competitive ones. 2) Great PM and communication: Our PM Tal is such a joyful, communicative, and accommodating professional. He made the whole process much easier. 3) Great foremen and workers: they showed up daily, worked hard, and generally kept the area as tidy as possible. We are glad we went with Construction & More for a full master bath remodel. They were very easy to work with, everything went as planned and we were very happy with the results. Joseph & Avi were our project managers. They set up a group chat with everyone to coordinate and they communicated very well. Inspections were scheduled very quickly and they forwarded us the results & paperwork as soon as they received it. Alex, the designer, was helpful in helping putting together our design and vendor recommendations. She quickly responded to feedback & updates to our design and she even worked through her vacation on our project. When one of the vendors got our order incorrectly, the Construction & More team worked with them to quickly rectify the issue. During construction, the foreman, Tony was very well organized and good to work with. His team was friendly, careful, and they kept the place as clean as they could. We hired Construction & More to renovate our kitchen and bathroom, flooring, and interior paint. Joseph and Avi were our project managers. This was a bigger than average job on an older home, some miscommunication, so there were definitely a handful of hiccups along the way, which led to the 2 month timeline being extended by 2 weeks. All of our friends and family were surprised it was still done so quickly. I appreciated Joseph and Avi being quick to respond to each hiccup and resolving things as soon as possible. They are very quick and reliable to reach through Whatsapp and phone. The workers were all amiable and got things done. They helped haul things away, they cleaned up after themselves, and they were open to my requests when I wanted details a certain way. That being said, if you want your renovation exactly -- you will have to carve out time to manage the construction in the day-to-day. After the construction, I wanted to give myself time to move back in and live in the home before posting a review. For the most part, the construction is good. There were a few things that we had to call the workers back to fix or patch, but Joseph and Avi were quick to respond and send someone. I found Construction & More through Yelp and I am sooo happy with the outcome of my renovation project. They responded quickly to my RFQ and provided a very reasonable estimate. Because of it, I ended up hiring Avi & Joseph from Construction & More to do a multi-part project for me (instead of just one small one): 1. Add a 450 sqft addition with a new kitchen (attached to the house) 2. Cancel the old kitchen and convert into a new bedroom with a full bath 3. ⁠Installed new flooring 4. Interior paint throughout entire house. I was totally clueless about what to do but Construction & More team were incredibly professional, taking me through the process from start to finish. This was truly a one-stop-shop experience since they had all the people power needed to complete this project. Their company is staffed with an in-house architect, engineer and Alex the designer so I didn't need to spend any time having to vet any of these services on my own. Avi and Joseph took care of all the plans , suggested layouts options and dealt all the beaurocratic stuff with the city including taking care of the permits and making sure everything was perfect for the inspector. There were minor hiccups however everything went smoothly. From start to finish, the entire process only took 5 months and there were no surprises. I was very nervous about this project but they really helped put me at ease and kept up the communication throughout the project. There were no hidden costs and the overall cost of the project was super reasonable given the excellent work they did! So happy I found Construction & More on yelp! My family and I were looking for a trusted company who could help us remodel our home as we had never remodeled our home prior to this. We extended our master bedroom by 300 sq.ft. and added a master bathroom and a walk in closet (yay!) prior to this we only had 1 shared bathroom in our home so this was soo nice to have. We also had carpet in our living room and bedrooms and we decided to replace the entire flooring in our home to give it that modern look we've been wanting. I love it! They were no property damage during the demolition process. The dust levels were kept to a minimum and maintained a well organized and clean environment during this process, which we really appreciated. We just finished a large extension project of our home with Construction & More. We had the good fortune to work with a very well co-ordinated and thoughtful team that was extremely responsive as well. Joseph and Avi keep us up-to-date on everything, explaining all the steps and answering any of our questions promptly. From the day we met with them to share our vision, to the design discussion with architect to getting permits to starting right after permits -- it was a smooth, friction-less process. The construction crew was also very professional and friendly and made every attempt to minimize disruption as we continued to live in the house while construction was ongoing. We had a master bedroom and bathroom and family room added and another bedroom extended, so this was definitely a very extensive work. What really impressed us on top of the agility was how accommodating the whole team was. From building a vert specific arch we wanted to installing hanging lights to special closet doors to the landing for our entrances, they helped with all of these. We were looking to remodel our bathrooms and ended up remodeling the whole house, which included bathrooms, flooring, kitchen and fireplace. We got in touch with Avi and Joseph through a friend and we re very happy with the final outcome of the project. We re glad we chose construction and more. Avi and Joseph are very professional and the communication is quite easy and they are very responsive. Their pricing was reasonable, upfront and no added costs, infact they did some additional work like assembly and installation of new cabinets we had purchased, without charging us. The way they split the payment schedule was very convenient. Whenever we had concerns they were addressed in a timely manner. We are very impressed with the construction crew. For instance, one of the guys, Eddy's tile installation was super impressive with minimal cuts and suggesting/choosing good design/layout. Victor, who is also a lead/manager also did a lot of work. He suggested installing wooden slats above the fireplace and to avoid tiles due to difference in thickness which was quite helpful. He was very friendly to work with. Marlon did a fabulous job with flooring. His attention to detail was great. Everybody in the construction team were very nice. One thing I want to call out is the construction crew's sincerity, they were there at the doorstep at 7.30-8am everyday. I really appreciate Avi and Joseph's sincerity, because they suggested to retain our existing solid wood cabinets in kitchen, they could have replaced the cabinets and charged us more but they dint. Also they suggested installing decorative panels behind the island which we dint even think about. Small touches like those, elevate the beauty of the home and shows their dedication to keep us happy. They were also very helpful in suggesting stores for purchasing materials for the remodel. Overall we are very happy with our whole home remodel project with construction and more, Avi and Joseph and their team did a fabulous job. We recently hired Construction & More for a complete bathroom remodel due to water damage in our original bathroom. Tal and his team were professional, easy to work with, and delivered amazing results. From the start, Tal worked with us to design our ideal bathroom. He was conscious of our budget and provided design services and consultations on anything from tile/grout to bathroom fixtures. After a comprehensive design, including renderings, we were impressed by the speed of delivery of the construction. Not only was Tal's team able to deliver a quality product, they were also responsive to feedback on our end. If we wanted something touched up or a little different, they were happy to oblige. We had the pleasure to work with Construction & More for adding ~225 SQ FT to our house in backyard, remodel 2 bedrooms, add walk-in closet, add a new bathroom and remodel existing master bathroom. We had the project designed with an independent architect and we found Construction & More. We met Avi for the quote and met Avi and Joseph for the complete scope of work at their office, we instantly decided to work with them mainly due to the confidence in their assurance of getting job done in 3-4 months and competitive price. Besides having some existing problems in old walls, as we had designed this with an independent architect, we had to make some changes during construction. Avi and Joseph were flexible to accommodated those changes with change orders. One of the best thing that impressed us was punctuality of the crew, crew was always at site by 8 am and leave depending on work completion for the day. Crew sometimes did come on Saturday / Sunday to get job done sooner and coverup any delays in inspection. All the foreman with whom we interacted were professional and completed job professionally. They do come back for the left over items which were identified after the main job was completed. We had been window shopping much before we started designing (to find matching material for the new extension with existing house material), so we went with our own vendors for fixtures but every vendor recommended by Construction & More speaks highly of them whether it be window, glass doors, tiles, baseboards, etc. Alex helped us in interior design of bathrooms, her designs were creative and her color combination recommendations really helped us find the right material from different economic vendors. The job was completed as committed within 3-4 months before rainy reason starts. Overall our project managers (Avi and Joseph), interior designer (Alex), foremans , photographers and back-office team were exceptional throughout the entire process. We highly recommend Construction and More for any renovation project. For any readers, in the construction work, one of the important lesson we have learned over a period of time (through various projects), always document all important details in the final plan / contract. This will help prevent any misunderstandings, assumptions or oversights during the construction process. If we were to do this project again, one thing we would do different is hire in-house Construction & More Architect! Even though Avi & Joseph has been flexible to accommodate changes, IMO having Architect from same contractor would make special inspection and any other changes much more smoother! read more

We wanted to remodel our home and make an addition to the house. We had interviewed quite a few contractors at the time and found Joesph and Avi at Construction & more. These guys are very responsive and detailed when giving you a quote and cover every details that gives you an idea of how much work is really involved. We started with our remodel project of the existing home that included updating bathrooms, flooring and paint for the entire house. And then landed up updating our kitchen. They helped us every step of the way! Through the entire process, Joesph and Avi have always been on top of the project(s), keeping us in the loop at all times. They are easy to reach out to if you have any questions or concerns and make it a point to get back to you quickly. They are open to feedback and go out of their way to make their customers happy.
