Tal and his supervisor visited our house on 2 separate occasions to give a quote on a large exterior remodel project to replace all our siding and rebuild a large deck. The whole process was very professional and thorough. We received a very detailed quote that was in the same ballpark as the company we eventually selected. Ultimately, we didn't go with them, because we wanted glass railings and the quote specified that we should provide this. It's intimidating to measure for something that could be upwards of $10k (in case we made mistakes!) and was a nebulous cost to us at the time (difficult to budget). read more

It's always tricky finding the right contractor but in this case Green Group made it easy. Once we contacted them for some roof work, Roy Mol, our dedicated project manager showed up the very next day to review what was needed and provided a quite immediately. Most other contractors we reached out to never actually got back to us which leads me to the second highlight about Green Group. The level of communication provided by Roy and Ailer was excellent. They were always in touch about the status of the project, on-site to inspect the work, and provided updates consistently with a level of white glove service you don't typically see. The crew was punctual, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. And our porch looks fantastic! 10/10 would recommend (and ask for Roy if you can) read more

Our project manager Kim was a pleasure to work with. She was onsite every single day, and her crew completed our bathroom remodel in 3.5 weeks. She left frequent calls and messages and kept me in the loop. The pricing was also straightforward and transparent. Her contractor, Alex, is very skilled and thorough. We are very happy with the final result. There was a last minute scramble a few times for materials when unexpected issues came up but it happens with most remodeling projects. If I could offer some feedback, it would be to add billing and invoicing capabilities, including the ability to pay with credit card. I did have a wire transfer that was eventually recovered but took 5 days until the owner said he received it. read more

We hired the Green Group to remodel our bathroom, we had a minor misunderstanding about the job scope in the beginning and the owner made things right, very happy. We were very impressed with their craftsmanship but even more impressed with their customer service skills. The project manager "Kim", job foreman "Javiar" and all the men on site were beyond pleasant to work with. The job was done on a timely basis and we even gave them additional work to do while they were here. They were in our house a lot when no one was here, so very trustworthy which is a big comfort when you have people you dont know that well coming and going in your home. I would recommend the Green Group to others who are considering home remodeling jobs. read more

In April I was looking to remodel my kitchen when I contacted Green Group Remolding, despite a six week delay from the Covid 19 virus Jacob and his crew was able to navigate the shutdown and complete the project by late June. Thanks to Jacob's attentive oversite he remained open to the twists and turns of an evolving project. I was hesitant at times but in just a few weeks the project came together. The crew was professional and kept to a schedule while having to work around a house with three adults, a dog and cat - well done. Needless to say I happy with the work done; it came out better than I expected and I would recommend Green Group and Jacob to work on your home remolding project. read more

We hired Green Group Remodeling to remodel our bathroom. It was a pretty extensive remodel that included moving plumbing around. Our project manager, Becky, was excellent to work with. We were overwhelmed with figuring out what we wanted, and she guided us through the process. The materials she helped us select turned out wonderfully. The bathroom looks excellent and we are extremely happy with it. The on-site crew was professional, got the work done promptly, and always cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. I felt that they respected our home, and the work is high quality. Becky kept an excellent line of communication open during the project. I always knew where the project stood. I look forward to the opportunity to work with Green Group Remodeling and Becky again when the time comes to remodel our kitchen. read more

Green Group Remodeling was an amazing beyond belief contracting company to work with for the remodel of a condo. The scope of our work ranged from demolition, upgrading plumbing & electrical lines, installation of new appliances, cabinets, flooring, bathroom fixtures, kitchen, baseboards, painting, and other personal touches. This team is incredibly visionary for how a space can look and is thorough in preparation for the project; before, during, and after to bring it to life. They helped with clean-up and restoration, as well as returning to help with any odds and ends that may have been overlooked in the beginning. Their pricing is competitive, but it's their delivery of quality service, dedication to the project timelines, talented employees, and personable touch made this a seemless experience. A very special shoutout to Tiko as our Project Manager, Alfredo as the foreman, and Jose. read more

I sent a message through Yelp that I was in need of tservices. They responded right away and came out that evening to estimate The quote he gave me was exorbitantly high and it did not include doing all the joob. We had an old and unpermitted in-law unit that the previous owners built badly and was gradually falling apart. We solicited 3 proposals, and even though Green Group's was not the cheapest, we chose them, because Jacob, the project manager gave us good and practical advice. We then went to expand and renovate the in-law unit, retrofit the garage with sheet rock, new lighting and storage, and build a new deck and railing outside. Throughout the process and through challenges with the permit process, including the need to install sprinklers and a water tank, Jacob and the rest of the team kept giving us good advice. They were responsive, quickly correcting any issues and professional, making sure we were happy with the result. We ended up having a beautiful unit, garage and deck within our budget and with minimum hassle. I highly recommend them! read more

Note: this review is for our experience with an estimate appointment and what followed. We did not go under contract and have not had any work done by this company. Our estimate appointment was an unexpected experience, given the exceptional reviews. I grew up around construction and home remodeling, and we have family in real estate - we knew what would be entailed in the job and entered the appointment with a clear understanding of an appropriate range of price. We were given an estimate on the spot, which was nowhere near the expected range. Further, the information needed to provide an accurate estimate was not gathered (he did not check to see if a wall was load-bearing, appropriate measurements were not taken, electrical panels were not checked, code requirements were incorrectly explained, etc). All trust was lost with the heavy sales pitch, and a sudden reduction in the estimate (by more than 6K) after our interest dampened. The project manager followed up by phone the next business day to say that it sounded like the price was the only thing keeping us from working with them, and "maybe I can lower the price again." I expressed thanks and said we would be working with someone else, but this was not respected. The rep sent a text message afterward apologizing. The owner of the company contacted me today to ask that I remove this review or change the rating. Out of respect for his request, this review has been significantly edited. He also offered to personally come to our house to give us a new estimate and manage the project himself. For this, I am adding an additional star. It's clear they do beautiful, quality work - it's unfortunate that we did not receive an experience that would have allowed us to join the many who have given 5-star ratings. read more

Needed a long overdue bathroom remodel. Researched a bunch of contractors, landed on the Green Group based on their great reviews. I wasn't disappointed. Right from the start, my project manager (Sheer Goshen) was a complete pro. She came up with a very competitive proposal, was a calm and steady presence, extremely flexible, made the process simple. She has both a design touch and a personal touch. Additionally, the designer (Maria) was great help in looking at materials, plus creating amazing 3D renderings. The final bathroom looked exactly like the renderings. Finally, the main sub and remodeler (Arturo Lares, owner of Bay Area Spartans Construction) is a fantastic craftsman. He's an expert at the complete mix (construction, electric, plumbing, tiling, paint); perfectionist, professional and fast. Can't recommend him and Green Group any higher. I'm embarrassed to show the before pics, but look how it turned out! ... ;) read more

We reached out to Green Group right around the Christmas holidays about a small bathroom remodel. They responded right away and were quick to set up an appointment to see the project and give a reasonable quote. Once we agreed on scope and price, they got right into the permit process with the city, which we suspected would be lengthy (8-10 weeks). The Project Manager Kim Golan kept on top of the city to keep the permit moving and visited the city in person to try to get faster response. We really appreciated that the PM was concerned for the schedule as they knew we had a hard stop for work in the household in May. Once the city awarded the permit, Green Group mobilized quickly and did a good job of protecting the interior of the house. The crew was efficient and worked fairly typical hours. The PM was very communicative and easy to work with. She helped with material selection and gave good advice. In hindsight, it would have been good to have someone more knowledgeable on plumbing check the parts we ordered before starting the job, as we were responsible for purchasing all finished materials including shower components and valves. We are not plumbers and ordered the wrong kind of valve, which wasn't discovered until installation time, when tilework was already completed. Ultimately we all came to an agreement, and we absolutely love our remodeled bathroom and new shower. Great craftsmanship and attention to detail (we had big tiles and sections of small mosaic tiles) for all components. The crew even fixed our bathroom vent to the roof, which was never connected before, so we appreciate they wanted to do things the right way. We can't wait for another chance to work with Green Group on our next remodel project! Great, professional experience overall. read more

When Ben Parnaus came, from the minute he entered the house, he was a bit rude. Maybe it was a lost in translation issue but he was very rude to my mom during the quoting session. We had requested he come to do a full interior paint on our home. He was a bit crass, short and asked if he needed to do the patches on the walls. He walked upstairs, looked into 2 bedrooms plus 1 kid bathroom (didn't even bother to look in the master bedroom or even the master bath or the other 2 bedrooms) and gave us a quote: $16,800 for a 2 story house for 2200 sq foot. Our house is constructed on a post-tension slab and we wanted to convert our half bath into a full bath without causing any issues. Given the complexity and this requires permits, we evaluated many proposals and finally choose the green group remodeling. They did a really good job in completing the project as per our needs. Permits which typically take weeks, the green group was able to get them in a few days. Maria was our project manager assigned to our project and she always kept us informed and always there to answer our questions. I called to get a quote/estimate for a bathroom remodel. The person who answered the phone asked me some questions about the project and I answered them. They told me the were not able to give me a itemized estimate for work (example, install tub $1200, install vanity $500) they said they would only provide one number for all work involved. Not very transparent at all. **Update, Daniel the owner called. explained the process they do and said he would talk to the person in the office, changing the review from a 3 star to a 5 star just because he called promptly and tried to fix things. He will give me a quote. Thanks Daniel! read more

As first time home buyers, we were interested in finding a remodeling company that was able to help us renovate our entirely original house with an emphasis on quality and customer service at a reasonable price. I had the pleasure of working with Sean at Green Group, who helped us: - Repaint the entire interior - Install 30+ ceiling lights - Redesign our closet interiors for better organization - Full gut and remodel of our kitchen (counter, cabinets, appliances) Green Group made a strong point in being responsive to my questions and requests, and catering to my high attention to detail - their customer service was excellent. If anything was installed or modified improperly, they were prompt in coming back to fix it without issue. While they may not be the fastest remodeling company out there, Green Group was proactive in coordinating with me to establish expectations so that I could plan accordingly. I would be happy to work with them again. read more

Our kitchen remodel experience with Jacob and the GreenGroup was excellent. We were renovating a 70s era kitchen, but not just modernizing the furnishings and appliances. We were also knocking out a pass through wall and moving the sink back to the building wall under a window where there used to be a wet bar. We were also opening up the kitchen entrance which involved knocking out a couple of small walls. A few observations about GreenGroup and Jacob's team in particular: Jacob has really good people working for him. The team was clearly a group of regulars who have done numerous jobs with him. A shout out to Axl and Andy in particular, although every member of the team was a pro. Jacob has a good eye for design and helped us visualize our project and make the right choices with regards to materials, layout etc. He's very enthusiastic about what he does and it shows in the quality of the work. They handled the inevitable surprises that come with a job of this size extremely well. Like finding vent pipes inside one of the walls we were moving, or that the ceiling and walls were far from level, and a number of other smaller items. Moving the vent pipes added a change order, but the added price was fair. Communications with Jacob and the team was excellent, mostly via WhatsApp or phone when needed. They were flexible when we wanted to add small jobs outside of the kitchen to take advantage of having a team there, (e.g. recessed lighting in our foyer, fixing a hanging closet door issue), not gouging us on price. Though they weren't the least expensive option, I'm glad we paid that premium - and it wasn't that large - to get a quality outcome and excellent responsiveness to any questions or concerns we had. In short, I whole-heartedly recommend GreenGroup, in fact we're considering them for an additional project read more

We are very happy with our new kitchen remodel! Green group removed one wall and pushed back another wall so that we could have a bigger kitchen that includes ample cabinets and an island. The quality of work was great, especially the tile work, dry wall and painting. They also raised the floor in our sunken living room which required them to raise the electric outlets too. We had a wood burning stove in the family room that was extremely heavy. They took it out and put it in the back of our truck so that we could take it to family in Nevada. They took out our carpet and put in new flooring all through the kitchen, living room, hallways and family room. All in all, very nice job. read more

We choose Green Group to do a complete remodel of our kitchen and to re-do two bathroom floors. We choose them over three other general contractors based on their reputation, cost and timeline of their bid and on our initial interactions with Jacob, who was our project manager. To reiterate what everyone probably already knows, any renovation of this scale is going to come with some difficulties and irritations. Word to the wise, always double check all dimensions and options on every plan.....no one will care about the details of your project like you will. That said, I honestly believe Jacob, and his foreman Raul did the best we could have possibly asked for. From start to finish, Raul ensured his crew kept our house as clean as possible and caused as minimal of disruption to our lives as possible. Really can't say enough good things about Raul's work ethic and attention to detail. A++. Jacob always supported Raul throughout the project, ensuring ample time to complete (and fix) all aspects of the job up to a standard we found acceptable. We had several small items that weren't right with the cabinets we selected, and Jacob continually facilitated getting things right. The overall cost did end up higher than first estimated, but Jacob did warn us in advance of the possibilities of certain things costing more, so that was appreciated. The schedule was very close to the initial estimate, no complaints there. Overall, very pleased with Green Group, Jacob, and Raul, and would definitely work with them again. read more

We remodeled our guest bath and large master shower with Green Group. Overall, I am quite happy with our outcome, though I believe it could have been a bit smoother. So, I struggle a bit between 4 and 5 stars. We'll call it 4.5. Jacob is eager to please, conscientious, responsive, and full of energy. It's clear he loves his work and he is good at it. After a false start with another Green Group foreman that honestly had me worried just a week and a half into the project, Jacob took over the job and began to organize it well. Anyone who thinks that even a small-medium sized remodeling job like ours can go off without a hitch is probably delusional, I know. Add complications of COVID and needing to be home throughout the entire process to some special considerations (always present) and it could have been a lot worse. I credit Jacob with managing our project and expectations very well. Jacob clearly takes pride in not only his work, but in overall customer satisfaction. He even pointed out some extra things for us that we added to the project in change orders which have heightened our satisfaction with this job. That said, Jacob appears stretched a bit too thin between projects. When he is available and engaged, all is well. When he is occupied with another project, things can slip a little. There was one minor glitch that caused our project to go off schedule and lose momentum about half way through. Without going into too much detail, this setback compounded an issue with another aspect of our project, causing our crew to become lax with their attention to neatness and keeping our home clean of construction dust while we were living with the construction. Jacob did his best to direct the crew to correct the original problem, but I discovered it was not done properly after they had moved on to another phase of work. After assessing that the original issue did, in fact, need to be readdressed, Jacob was cheerful and quick to see to it that the problem was fixed, often while managing remotely and responding to pictures I would send to him. By this point a couple of weeks of delays had started to pile on, though, and the spirits of the very friendly and great crew were noticeably dampened. Add to this some complicated tile work in the final phase that took longer than expected, required a couple of re-dos to get right, and generated an unexpected, but necessary, overage charge and an extra couple of weeks to the timeline, and frustration began to set in with us all. The crew started to get lax on sealing up the tile cutting areas and tile dust covered our entire (very open floor plan) home. Neatness and detail in painting also suffered and needed to be redone, causing more setbacks and delaying some flooring work we were having done in an adjacent room. Because we were now weeks delayed, Jacob was splitting time between multiple other projects. His assistant, Shon, did stop by occasionally, but didn't command the same presence at the site with the crew. I became a regular fixture on the text app Jacob set up for us. I leaned that pictures drew the fastest and most complete response from Jacob. When I brought my concerns to Jacob's attention (with pics and video) he responded quickly and reassured us that he would make it right. And he did, to an acceptable degree. He followed up tirelessly and made us feel like he was our advocate to everyone associated with the process. In the end, we are thrilled with the results. The work is beautiful and we are enjoying our home. Green Group has a solid representative of their company in Jacob and we would happily work with him again...maybe same time next year on something??? read more

I wish I could give Green Group, Tula/project manager, Kattia/designer and the onsite crews all 10 stars! My entry/kitchen/dining room repair and upgrade project was on the smaller side at 250 square feet; however, Tula and the team treated me as if this was a million-dollar project. During the whole process, from initial meeting for site walk and preparing an estimate to the day of final inspection and close out of fine tune details, Tula and the team took great care of my home and were very respectful towards me and of my time. Communication is key, never once did I feel as if I didn't know how progress was going or what the next steps would be, I received almost daily check ins or updates from Tula. Even when unforeseen circumstances happened, any necessary extra charges were fully explained to me and thought was clearly put into any suggestions/options regarding the additional costs as well as if it would or would not affect the timeline of my project. Add in the fact that my project was also an insurance claim and a challenging HOA, Tula was able to provide the needed separate estimate for repair of only the damaged areas covered by the insurance claim. Tula and the team also handled the City permitting process and scheduling of all inspections, much to my relief. My project went very smoothly, stayed within my budget and finished exactly on time with no delays. I highly recommend Green Group and Tula for any remodeling project you have. We just finished a house project consisting of an upstairs walkout balcony removal, new partial wall buildup w/ large window, 2 new replacement sets of patio doors in 2 downstairs areas and removal/new install of wood frames around all windows. Project Mgr. Tula, was awesome to work with! He was very responsive to my texts and clarified any questions I had regarding current and future projects. I can see how addicting home projects can be and Tula had a lot of patience as I asked about different project ideas that were jumping around in my head. For my home projects it was like a carousel of "to dos" that I would talk to Tula about. I am sure that I sounded like an airhead. :) I will take his advice and give it a day or two on what bothers me the most, now that the project is done (the "to-dos" kept changing), and go from there. Tula's team was great. They each had their own specialty and they worked so quickly and their was craftsmanship excellent! There was a good size team on site the first few days and that's why I think the job was done in abt 2 wks or less, whereas other quotes I had were close to 6 to 8 weeks! If you are thinking about a house project, at least get an estimate from Green Group Remodeling. If you are in Tula's area you will find that he is easy going, focused, patient and definitely gets the job done! I am glad I found this company. The whole project was pretty easy that it gives me confidence for additional home improvements! Again, at least get an estimate from them.
