Every step of the way with our new kitchen, from the consultation to the planning and design to the execution, was handled professionally and thoroughly. We received daily updates from Project Manager Tiko, so we knew what the crew would be working on and when we might need to be away from the house to give them space. Foreman Alfredo and the crew were friendly and skillful completing the work and they always made sure to clean up each day, never leaving a mess or tools in our living spaces. Most importantly, we had a tight deadline with twins graduating high school and a party to host and they completed the job weeks before the deadline. Start to finish in less than 6 weeks - Amazing! Thank you so much for my beautiful kitchen! read more

I was delighted with the bathroom remodel recently done by Green Group. Roy was great to work with. He always promptly answered my numerous texts and we worked together to figure out better solutions to original plans, which included adding a shower. It was a very good experience and I was delighted by the finished work. read more

We worked with our project manager, Adam, to help create our dream kitchen! We wanted an open concept, but never thought it would be possible since we had a load bearing wall. When Adam met with us he gave us a few options as far as layout and let us know the open concept with an island was definitely possible. Work started pretty much immediately and we saw progress everyday. The crew was very friendly, respectful and efficient. We were so happy with the work that we decided to also remodel our master bathroom and guest bath before the kitchen was completed. Definitely recommend working with Adam and GreenGroup! read more

After 40+ years of a metal strap rubbing against our hot water line, a pin hole leak occurred that was not noticeable until we started seeing mold forming behind our hot water heater. We contacted a company to inspect and determine the damage. Anyone you see in the first couple of pictures with a blue masking tape had to be removed. Green Group became an important part of the menagerie of contractors I needed to get the leak fixed and the resulting mess cleaned up. Jacob came out to my house on a Sunday to review the work that needed to be done and provide a quote. This was amazing considering it saved me from needing to stay home from work during the week. Jacob knew that we wanted to get back into our house as soon as possible with the Holidays fast approaching. Given the damage and it being a relative unknown when the mold and water damaged area would be cleaned up and dry, Jacob worked with his team to be flexible to our needs. We had the mold, damaged drywall, flooring, and other wood removed on a Thursday and drying finally finished on Tuesday. Jacob and Ismail came by the house the following morning and got started. It took two days when the original estimate suggested it may take three. This ensured I could get the Water Heater back in before the weekend and move my family back into the house. Jacob and Ismail were amazing and super helpful throughout the process. A few things I would highlight especially: - Upon arriving to start the job, I decided to ask about having a door created to the crawl space underneath the A/C Furnace and Hot Water Heater. They were able to accommodate w/o any additional cost. - They understood that because this is a garage I was not looking to go "crazy" with the finish. Still, their work looks clean, professional, and included small touches that make it look like it could be in any part of the house. They did a nice job picking material for the stairs and trimming each step in particular. - They offered to come back once the A/C Furnace and Hot Water Heater were installed to touch up any paint or anything else that may have been "dinged" while being those units were reinstalled. Overall, great experience with Green Group. I will definitely keep them in mind if I need more work in the future and would recommend them to anyone with a home remodeling project. read more

Green Group Remodeling, led by project manager Adam, exceeded my expectations with their impeccable work. Adam's excellent communication ensured we were always informed about the progress of the renovation. The attention to detail displayed in every aspect of the project, from the custom cabinets to the glass shower and recessed lighting, truly set them apart. The result is a kitchen and primary bathroom that are not only functional but also stunningly designed. They were timely and accurate with their estimates of time and cost. Kitchen remodel, primary bathroom remodel, painting the entire house interior and adding recessed lighting to two rooms took about 6 weeks which is what we were initially told. We are incredibly satisfied with their work and would gladly recommend them to anyone seeking top-notch remodeling services. read more

We chose Green Group Remodeling to help rebuild our fence and retaining wall here at our house in Mill Valley at the end of February. (2020) At first, it seemed like the project was starting off well. The contact person, Jacob Bachar, was pleasant enough and overly friendly. He described to us what the plans were for the wall, what our options were for building materials and design. My wife, my elderly parents (who we are taking care of here), and myself agreed upon the final design only after a few weeks. Because of the permits needed for the retaining wall, we decided to start the fence first. Things looked like they were going well. Then, COVID-19 happened and everything came to a screeching halt. The old wooden wall had been taken down, leaving the dirt hill exposed and ready to fall into our patio area (the house is built on a hill). Bricks were left stacked in piles, occupying all our usable patio space until just before July 4, and trash and other tools had been left scattered here until that time as well. It stayed like this until late September, when they were finally able to get the bricks and concrete into place. So, for about 6-7 months, we had to hope that there wasn't going to be a rainfall and have the entire hill fall into our patio while we waited for them to finish. Understandably, COVID-19 was an impediment in getting the job done in a timely manner, largely due also to the (presumably) slow building inspectors from the Marin County offices. But compounded with that were numerous occasions of us needing to call Jacob to have his crew come and clean up messes they left behind (leftover food, trash, and tools strewn about). The fence at one point, had a gap that was left open in it to allow a construction vehicle to come down the hill and work on the retaining wall, and we struggled getting them to come repair some of the boards that fell off. For months, we had neighbors looking into our yard! We needed to nag Jacob a couple times to come and shore that up. This was a repeat pattern of work that was sloppy and left half finished. Add to that him telling us about the "new jobs" they had recently taken and how he was trying to schedule time for us to get our walk finished just added insult to injury. The final straw was when we gave him our final check for the remainder of the work completed. I asked them directly to not cash the check until a certain date, where upon they cashed it that same day, causing an over draft fee with our account. They did offer to reimburse us that fee amount, but we were honestly sick of dealing with them at this point. Considering how much money we spent on the entire project (roughly 58K), and how much we had to pester them to get the job done or to clean up after themselves, I would not recommend this company for the work you need. I will say that the finished wall and fence are nicely done, but the work ethic that we experienced with them was sub-par. read more

We had two bathrooms remodeling projects with Tiko and Kim from Green Group Remodeling. They did an excellent job! Initially we only planned for one bathroom but ended up two bedrooms with reasonable price and flexible plans. We needed at least one bathroom on Friday nights for guests so couldn't do construction at the same time but they provided a flexible plan so it worked out well. They estimated 4-6weeks of time for one bathroom but they completed two projects in 4weeks (except shower door) with great outcomes. There was an issue with the shower door that we ordered at the last minute. But they figured out the solution so completed by following week. Tiko kept us in the loop with messages and calls. Kim was on site every single day to follow up with workers and suggested materials and products that saved my life. After we completed with final payment, we found minor issues next day. Tiko sent a worker right away and fixed them at the same day. We still have many projects for our home in a near future. We will definitely go with Green Group Remodeling. read more

I just completed a kitchen and bath remodel with Green Group and couldn't be happier. My project manager was Jacob Bachar and he did an incredible job organizing the process and communicating with me throughout each stage. He documented each part of the remodel and sent me updates (and photos) through What's App. He was quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had and I appreciated feeling like a priority although my mostly cosmetic project was probably smaller in scale than his other projects. I had an exceptional crew dedicated to my project lead by my foreman Saul, who deserves praise for overseeing every detail and being communicative and patient through my endless questions. This crew clearly took pride in their work from start to finish. We kept to my very tight timeline despite the fact that I added a great deal more to the initial project and changed my mind on the paint colors and wall tile I selected for the bathroom. Jacob set the tone for my remodel with his clear communication, energy, dedication and humor. It's clear that his crew loves working with him and it shows in the work. I love the final result and would work with Jacob, Saul and their crew again in a heartbeat. read more

Over the summer we were looking to remodel a bathroom in the basement in-law unit of our home. This project was not large in scale, but complicated given a tight space and the age of our home (100+ years old). Also, bringing the bathroom up to current building code required a significant amount of work, especially with the plumbing and electrical wiring. We sought several bids during our process, and upon meeting Jacob we knew that Green Group would be right contractor for us! Jacob was honest from the get-go about the potential challenges of this project and told us up front what would be required in terms of the complexity of the work, cost, and timing. We appreciated his honesty, fairness, and willingness to be flexible should issues arise and changes need to be made to the project scope. The Green Group crew could not have been more hard-working, honest, and nice to deal with. They are just good people, and moreover excellent at their craft. The crew worked to a fast timeline and performed well in every facet. One could not ask for a more professional group, and people who are just hard-working, patient, and pleasant to be around! We had multiple changes to this project, and a very difficult process to obtain City approval of the work. Through it all, Jacob and crew handled themselves professionally, patiently, and with the utmost integrity. Communication was excellent, as Jacob reached out to us daily with updates and to answer our questions (we had many through this process!!!). Perhaps the ultimate endorsement is that we gave Green Group more work upon seeing the excellent results in our bathroom! They ended up renovating the adjacent office space and storage area of our home, and we are equally pleased with their quality work. We cannot recommend Green Group more highly. They are honest, fair, and nice people to work with. Moreover, they get their work done professionally, on a timely basis and with high quality. What more can you ask from a contractor? read more

We hired the green group to remodel two bathrooms. They were not the lowest bidder but we went with them based on the reviews here. It took 6 months (agreement was 2-3 months), and the process was very frustrating. Started with their designer who was repeatedly late to meetings and slow to respond, made many design/measurement errors, recommended products that don't exist, and not helping us find good alternatives. When the work finally started it was painstakingly slow with only one worker at a time and usually showing up only on some of the days and most days just for a few hours. Numerous mistakes were made with lack of attention to detail, poor workmanship, and many devotions from the agreed upon design. Throughout the process there was lack of proper supervision by the project manager. Worst of all was the repeated "gaslighting" by the project manager when we complained about various problems - telling us we imagined the problems or that they weren't fixable when they clearly were. Overall a disappointing experience working with the green group read more

Green Group Remodeling did a superb job on our recent master bathroom remodeling project. Tula was our project manager he was amazing!! from the first step to the finish line. It was not a simple project by any means. There were significant plumbing & electrical changes, including creating a new zero-threshold shower & installing a stand-alone bathtub in a different location than the prior layout. Vanity plumbing was moved, as well as light fixtures & electrical outlets. We worked with their designer for about 2 months to create & refine the new design. She provided excellent guidance to help clarify & realize our vision & style, as well as assisting us on the dozens of selections that we made. We always felt that Erin was tuned into our preferences, and wasn't trying to push any particular style or approach. The 3D renderings that she prepared were extremely helpful to help us visualize & refine the design, resulting in a harmonious design that was perfect for us. During the construction phase, the plumbing & tile work was particularly excellent, with so many details (3 niches, a pony wall, pebble shower floor, etc). They did a great job installing new Fabuwood vanity & cabinets. Throughout the project, Tula was extremely responsive, communicative & well organized. Every evening, we received an e-mail explaining who would be coming the following day and exactly what they would be working on. In contrast to other contactors we have worked with in the past, they always had the right technicians there on the right day, in the right order, to get the project done in a timely fashion. All of their technicians showed up on time and their workmanship was extremely high quality. They were all friendly & easy to interact with. They did not smoke or play any loud music on our property, and in general were 100% professional. They did not hesitate to ask when there were choices to be made along the way, and they were open to our suggestions. It's clear that they all took pride in their work, and showed great attention to detail. As a result, our final punch list was very short. We've worked with a few other general contractors in the past, and Green Group is by far the best that we have found. We love our new master bathroom, and will enjoy it for many years to come. Overall, we give Green Group and Tula our project manager an A+, and would not hesitate to recommend them. read more

Do I recommend Green Group? Yes. Just take a peek at the before and after views of our bathroom as an example. I'm happy with the outcome. I rarely write reviews- 4 star rating is a big deal from me. I will probably never give five-star reviews because I don't think anybody is perfect. From my research of contractors, I preferred Green Group because there is a project manager. Mat was the project manager for our bathroom repair and remodel. I appreciated having a point person. He met us at showrooms where we were able to pick out our tile, flooring, and vanity. I was able to design and pick products to make the bathroom how I wanted. You can also pick products from Home Depot, Lowe's, or online by the way! Just make sure you coordinate when the team needs it by so you can make sure it's available then. Why I rate them 4 stars: -project finished by agreed deadline -final payment didn't change- it was as agreed in the beginning -professionalism and expertise of the team -cleaned up the inside path to work area each day -wore masks for COVID-19 precautions -they took care of getting city permits and inspection I learned a lot about the process and what to expect. I appreciated having Mat and his team easily available to contact. I plan to contact Green Group for future projects and recommend that you consider them for yours. read more

Like reviewer Aileen B., I rarely write a Yelp! review, and I'm unlikely to give five stars for anything as complex as a home renovation project. In the case of our recent bathroom remodeling by Green Group, I wish I could break the score into two categories: five stars for the result, which is excellent, and four stars for the process, which was good but not perfect. The problems with the process mainly had to do with not having the foreman onsite regularly enough, which caused some delays when the workers ran into something unexpected and didn't know how to proceed. Getting in touch with the foreman was a bit of a roundabout process, and my wife or I would sometimes have to wait around for a while until he arrived to resolve a question, which wasn't a big problem for us, but could be for others. Despite such occasional short-term frustrations, the project was completed in a timely manner, and the unexpected circumstances, like having to move an existing vent stack to make room for the shower niche, were resolved smoothly and without fuss. One of the things we particularly appreciated was the team's willingness to correct things that weren't their fault. For example, a light fixture we purchased didn't work with a dimmer, as it was advertised to do. When the replacement fixture arrived, after everything else was complete, they were happy to come back and swap it out for us, at no extra charge. We are delighted with the well-crafted outcome, and Green Group is at the top of our list for future projects. read more

They are knowledgeable and have a complete team of experts that help taking care of our remodeling needs from start to finish. They took care of almost everything from engineering, design, permit until the final inspection. We communicated through WhatsApp on a daily basis and the project manager is very responsive and they stand by everything they said they would do. We are extremely happy with the team of contractors who work on our home. They were very trustworthy, professional, courteous, punctual, very responsive to our requests and work tirelessly with smile on their faces. They always cleaned up after work each days. This is an update to my review posted earlier... I received a call from Daniel within 24 hours of this post. He was apologetic for our experience and wanted to make it right. He came by that same week and agreed the items I pointed out/posted were not finished as they should have been. He offered to address each of the items noted and proceeded to schedule the work. Tile work: Daniel brought in a true tile person and the work speaks for itself. See the two photos - the window is actually centered now and the cuts around the window and shampoo niche are clean. They ripped out all the tile work and started from scratch. We couldn't be happier with the end result in the shower and I appreciate that Daniel brought in a true craftsman to do the job. There were still some misses even with the second round of repairs. Daniel offered to repair anything I didn't like, but at this point I just want it done and opted to make the repairs myself. If they are unable to identify poor fit/finish items there really isn't a point in continuing to engage. You'll see pictures of their work and the fixes I made. Bullnose/Wall repair: When taking out the tile they damaged the wall a bit. We opted to go with bullnose tile for a clean look vs. the industrial look you get with a Schluter bar. The subs were supposed to float the wall and build a clean edge so the bullnose would show. The drywall/float work was bad and for some reason they loaded the edge with silicone and put it ON THE BULLNOSE TILE. We did not buy bullnose to cover the edges with silicone. You can see the before and after pictures. Again, this is a quality issue I should not have to point out. I floated the wall again, built up clean edges, removed all the silicone off the tiles and then repainted both the small and large wall. Baseboard: Daniel offered to replace all the baseboard and repaint it. I told him to just focus on the one to the left and I could live with the other since it's behind the toilet and under the vanity. Unfortunately painting a 7' baseboard seems to be a challenge for these contractors. The subs he brought in this time loaded it with paint and in the process got paint on the new tile floor and paint on my door stop because they installed it while it was still wet (see pics). I removed the baseboard and purchased a new one. Sanded and painted it. Now it's smooth and the there is no paint on the floor or door stop. Toilet escutcheon: The incorrect one was removed and the correct size put in. read more

I worked with Green Group Remodeling for a complete kitchen remodel. We recently purchased a new home and was disappointed to find the kitchen was in terrible shape. We worked with Jacob as our general contractor from Green Group Remodeing, and he did a great job with our place! We redid our kitchen, did new hardwood floors throughout the house, and took down a wall between the dining room and kitchen. The house looks amazing now: it is so much more comfortable and the limited space we have is much better utilized. Jacob was really flexible about adding additional scope in the middle of the project, such as a fireplace removal. He was also willing to work with a third party flooring contractor that we initially hired, but ultimately we decided not to go with in favor of having one of Jacob's guys get the floors done faster. The project took a few months longer than expected because of permit issues that were outside of Green Group's control. We were difficult clients because we had a baby as the project was wrapping up and we were super stressed out, and Jacob still managed to get the work done as quickly as possible with a high level of professionalism. read more
