Nate and his team at NAB totally rebuilt the front stairs of our house, and put in some extra linear drainage that connected to our French drain system. It ended up being a decent size job, with a fair amount of digging for the drains and demo of the old stairs, took a couple weeks to complete the job. Nate was a pleasure to work with, responsive, had great ideas about how to tackle the job, and his pricing was totally fair. Most importantly, as you can see from the pictures, they did excellent work. Finally, they stood behind their work, a few cracks showed up maybe 6 months after the job (100% not their fault, we deal with a driveway that shifts a ton from the weight of a steep slope we are on) and they repaired the cracks no questions asked and free of charge. I know he does jobs much larger than this but he never made our job feel insignificant or unimportant, and followed through like a true pro. We had a great experience NAB Construction! Our pickleball court had broken concrete on one end, and was too short on the other. NAB removed all the bad concrete and replaced it with pavers, and on the other side of the court, they added 5 feet of concrete where we had lawn, as well as adding to our existing retaining wall. After the pavers were installed, I noticed something not to my preference with the paver layout. I contacted Nick, our site manager from NAB, and he was very responsive, and arranged for Nate (the company president) to come out right away and discuss the matter, which was resolved that same day to my complete satisfaction. Nick also was happy to arrange for a few other small tasks related to bricks and concrete on our property to be taken care of, and they were - at no added cost. NAB construction was not the lowest bid we got for this work, but I have learned the hard way that going with the lowest price is not always a great idea, and I am glad I went with NAB for this project. I'm very satisfied with the results of this project, and would not hesitate to recommend NAB construction to others. read more

We got a new driveway with pavers installed back in 2023. It turned out great and we enjoyed working with the owner Nate. We wanted a walkway installed so we went back but this time we dealt with someone by the name of Nick Vard. He was very unprofessional and used the terms "outside the scope of work" and asked us to make a "commitment" several times. I went to Brickyard on a Saturday at 8AM per the direction of Nick but when I called him about our selection he never called me back. He blamed us and said they lost money on the job because it took longer than expected. He tried to convince me to use a brick I did not like. And the biggest disappointment was the drainage that they left unfinished. We spent almost $10k but we feel like the job is incomplete. Wish we could recommend them but if they continue working with Nick Vard you should stay away. read more

NAB isn't the company you'll see Facebook ads for, but they are the contractors you'll want to rave to all your Facebook friends about! Just book NAB. You won't regret it. We interviewed a handful of contractors for a demolition and rebuild of our backyard, which included (1) removal of flagstone and pebbles and replacing with pavers and decomposed granite as well as (2) removal and replacement of our grassy lawn with fresh sod. NAB's quote was competitive. In addition, Nate (the owner and PM) admitted it was a younger company than many other hardscaping companies in the Bay Area but he was eager to get our business and showed that by coming to our house to answer all of our questions and promptly answering all our messages. He offered references and we spoke with one family who was thrilled with his work. Ultimately, we signed with NAB, and he proved to an excellent PM. He was on site every morning to chat with us, let us know the work that's ahead, and made sure his team was clear on the instructions. When the project was near completion, we pointed out that two of the pavers had chips, and he promptly had his team replace them. He made sure we were comfortable with the progress each day he visited. Most importantly, he is an honest man and we never doubted his judgment or advice. We are very happy with our new backyard and plan to have Nate renovate another portion of our property next year. read more

This is LONG overdue but we absolutely loved working with Nathan and his crew. I had a very rough idea of what I wanted (but also wan't super picky) and just walked him through the backyard with my ideas and Nathan did the rest. It took only a few rounds of editing to get the project within our budget and finalize our ideas and we are so happy with our patio. We had an old poured concrete patio that the team replaced with pavers and also these nice interspacing with big stepping stones and pea gravel (their total design idea). The wood retaining wall around our parking pad was shifting inward and appeared to be in danger of falling onto our vehicles. The first two project managers from other construction companies told us what they would do without asking our opinion. Nate, the construction manager from NAB construction, began by asking what our priorities were, then explaining what our options were, and we discussed the advantages of each option. We ended up choosing the option that could be completed soonest while being cost effective. The first day the workers showed up at eight in the morning and went to work. Throughout the project they were organized and efficient, and we were amazed at how quickly they made progress on the construction. The workers were personable and answered any questions we had. We had 4500 square feet of pavers installed in 2022 as part of a new house construction, including small patios, walkways and a driveway, all with curves. We are very happy with the result. The materials, methods and specifications were the same as a much higher priced company and the cost was no more than other companies that used lower quality methods. Nate Biron, the owner, checked in on site pretty much every day and was always pleasant to deal with and willing to accommodate our requests. The crews were very efficient and fast but still cooperative, so you need to be proactive to ensure they remain on track. It's best to visually approve the positions of the border paver just before they start to cut the base pattern pavers so you can clearly see exactly where the border will be. In my experience, providing earlier, detailed drawings and verbal descriptions to everyone involved was not effective to ensure proper results. The crews have a good basic sense of what works but are also willing to install everything exactly how you want it. They will also redo it if they got out ahead of you and go off course a bit. Regarding the scope of work, be sure that the contract is clear regarding whether or not "extras" such as paver entry steps or landings are included. In my case, the quote only pertained to basic pavers, and the extras were added on to the original estimate. The project was, by necessity, very dusty (from cutting paver stones) and produced lots of pieces of cut pavers and concrete fragments and gravel. I could have mitigated the dust problem but was caught off-guard and wasn't warned. The fragments were mostly picked up, especially the larger ones, but many small ones remain. Pretty much unavoidable on a site that already had some gravel around, had some grading involved, and included demolition of an old asphalt driveway in places. On the positive side, the price included removal of the old driveway and a fair amount of earth moving. Nate also left me with a generous amount of spare pavers for use around the property. I interviewed 5 paver companies. Several were substandard, typically based on their treatment of the border stones (not set in concrete or not even stones at all). Our encounter with System Pavers was a bizarre interaction with a high intensity salesman who declared every paver company other than his was lying to me about the quality of their work and his was the only one that does it the right. The price was almost double (although we didn't bother to have him check with his manager to see just how much lower he could go, if we act right now...). Ultimately, everything he described as special about their installation was exactly what Nate provided. Through mid-March, after many rains and storms, the pavers and drainage have held up well. . While Nate's company has only been around for a few years, he is doing great work, has relevant experience and is providing great value in order to build his reputation. I strongly recommend including NAB Construction in your short list of paver companies to contact. read more

We purchased a new build house in 2022 that had nothing done in the backyard, and we needed all the design, pavement, and work to be done by ourselves. After much research, we came along with the NAB construction company. We met the owner and discussed our plans and projects in September 2022. With a few pre designs, then a bit changes, we came to a mutual agreement for the design and material. Job was done less than 2 months, very thorough, very neat, the owner of the company, Mr. Nate was there first thing in the morning to guide the crew, a decent, clean, and polite crew. Good thing job was done long before the heavy rains on December- January, some of our neighbors that didn't do a quality job on their backyard had many problems and flooded badly but we haven't seen any water stock on the ground, very sufficient slope into the drains. To be honest, me as an ex engineer, being a bit picky and perfectionist, must admit that Nate and his crew surprised me with the results. I didn't need to be there at all the time to observe the work. You just decide what you want (write the checks, haha...) and leave it all to them, you will not regret it, that's all I can assure you! Included were two retaining walls which were blended into the hardscape. There also was a new long path and seating area done in pavers and concrete, cedar benches, a new driveway in pavers and new front steps. My final project was to redo and fix the concrete retaining wall that holds a slopped front yard and stairs to my house , which sits above the street. We felt we should have known NAB Construction Inc earlier! Nate Biron, the owner of NAB Construction Inc, is very responsive and punctual. His communication is unheard of in the field of constructions. We NEVER had such a contractor who could respond to us days and nights, and even weekends! Nate gave us a docusign to inform us of the cost and duration of the work. Every time additional cost arose, eg., we asked for a playground pad and it was not originally mentioned in the work, he gave us the additional cost prior to proceeding so we wouldn't get a surprise at the end. His communication/explanation was very professional and thorough. The work itself is top notch. His crews worked hard from early in the morning till the evening every day. We had about a 700 sq concrete yard and wanted to turn it into an artificial turf so our kids can play. The concrete was pretty thick and wired throughout. They removed it all within a couple of days and even smoothed out the concrete surface that was vertical to the yard. And the best part of this was that they finished the work in 5 days!!! Can you imagine having the work done in 5 days??? Our other landscape jobs have been taking over a year and it's still not done yet. When they were done with the job, they cleaned up all the wastes and their belongings that no single nails or debris left on the site. It is such a pleasant way to complete the work. We are planning to have a backyard make-over and we will be happy to ask NAB Construction Inc. to come back again to work with us on the future project. HIGHLY recommended! read more

NAB Construction rebuilt our long and steep driveway on a hillside. They stabilized the driveway with piers and retaining walls and this was done quickly considering there were a few surprises once the old driveway was removed. Our driveway is now strong and solid. In addition, NAB's crew was extremely respectful of our neighbors. We live on a very small/narrow road and neighbors were always able to pass even when cement was being delivered. Also, NAB's communication was great. We would receive daily updates and Nate was available day or night for questions/concerns. NAB construction does beautiful work! When I drive up to our house I can't believe it's the same house. We decided to go with NAB construction because Nader seemed so knowledgeable and confidant during our first meeting. We walked around our property and talked in detail about what we would like to have done. He took notes and soon we had an estimate and an image of our house with a digital rendering of how the property would look after the project was completed. This was a big project and included demolition and complete replacement of the concrete with pavers, pool revision (new tile/coping and walls ) new turf, irrigation, fencing and a pergola. The NAB team was here onsite everyday (Monday-Friday) working hard to get our project completed. It was so exciting to drive up each day and see the progress. The construction crew always cleaned up before they left and the tools and equipment that were left were always neat and tidy. Nader was onsite most mornings and was happy to walk around with me and answer any questions. He was also quick to answer my phone calls. When the project was completed Nader and I did a final walk though. Only after he knew that I was completely satisfied did he send me an invoice for the final payment. There were no change orders along the way or any surprises with the final invoice. The amount on the contract that we signed at the start of the project was the amount that we paid. This was a great experience from start to finish. If I have another project in the future, I won't get any other bids. I will hire NAB construction. read more

Our experience working with Nate and his crew was exceptional! Nate helped us with our backyard & courtyard area which involved demo of large area of stamped concrete from the prior homeowners. Pros: - incredibly responsive via email & text - his crew was always on time, arrived on the days they were supposed to be on-site and worked incredibly fast but very good about not leaving messes behind - Nate was great with talking through design ideas/concepts with us and offering suggestions. He was incredibly patient with us during the initial meetings with him to finalize the the project before signing the contract. He really took the time to explain the process to us in detail which we appreciated. - Nate was on-site to oversee the project and that it was running smoothly which I believe helped to ensure that the project was completed to our satisfaction & within the timeframe he quoted. He was very hands on throughout the project which my husband and I really appreciated. I don't really have any "cons" while working with Nate on our project. But the one thing I wish would have been done differently is the landscaping piece. There was not any plastic sheeting/plastic weed barrier placed before planting & adding the mulch, which is now resulting in weeds. Thankfully, it's just a small space along our fence line where the weeds are coming through but ideally it would have been great to have this prevented & fairly minor compared to the exceptional results that Nate & his team delivered on. I have a small house with a small backyard that is really more like a courtyard, this space is a true extension of our home so deciding what to do with it was a big decision. I interviewed several paver companies and contractors for the work. It came down to NAB and another popular paving company. I chose NAB because Nate is highly knowledgeable about the entire process, incredibly communicative , responsive, professional and a great value. He patiently worked with me as I wanted a custom pattern which his guys implemented as I envisioned. The courtyard looks fantastic. His guys were nice and worked very hard and quick, getting it done in a weeks time. The only thing I would change is the planting areas where I grow vegetables should have been covered, I underestimated the amount of dust/debris that i'd have to rub off the kale, lime and lemon tree leaves. So if you have any edibles, do protect them. They did move all my heavy blueberry and herb pots out of the area and I intentionally didn't plant much once I knew we were moving forward so it wasn't too bad but still a hassle. I would definitely recommend Nate to friends and neighbors as they will not be disappointed. read more

We recently completed a major backyard renovation and our plans included an area set aside for artificial turf. Our contractor prepped and filled the area with the necessary compacted base rock. We were having a difficult time finding a company to do this small portion of our project. We had looked at a significant number of samples and knew exactly which product we wanted and were willing to purchase all the required materials. Most of the companies we contacted stated they would only install their particular brand of synthetic turf and wanted to be paid as if they had started from scratch, even though our area was already prepped and ready for lawn. We were referred to Nader Byron by our contractor; he responded to our inquiry immediately and offered us a reasonable price for labor only. His crew arrived in a timely manner, were friendly, and extremely skilled at installing synthetic turf. Nader followed up every step of the installation and the finished product is first class. Due to an error on my part, a sprinkler line was accidentally pierced by one of their nails. When I advised Nader of this issue, he immediately sent his crew back to remove the lawn, fix the break and put everything back together.
