Red flag !!! Don't use this company for foundation work or any work on your house. They did my foundation repair and leveling the house. none of the work was done correctly as plan and now the house it worse than it was before the work was done .more cracks on the foundation and didn't level out the house and my house started to buckle where they did the work at and none of the Intel jacks are tighten up to hold the house up and now i'm worried it might get worse before they fix it. They requested us to pay in full when the work was done. That's a scam. when the final inspection is not done and no paperwork Now we are waiting on them to find a solution to fixing our house.it been 2 weeks now still waiting Will update this post after the solution

Absolutely amazing how these guys come out and raise your patios is short time. Anthony and Brian just knocked it out. Got her on time where very nice to deal with and they got right to work and raised my patio slab (1 1/2") in such short time. They cleaned up afterwards and left the yard in excellent shape. I was very impressed with their professionalism. Special shout out to them both. Just dealing with Groundworks from the initial appointment with Mr Dalton, to getting a great estimate to having good guys fix my patio. I highly recommend Groundworks!

The team at Groundworks did a stellar job fixing my house's concrete stairs. They were very professional, knowledgeable about the process and were vey informative through the procedure. Big shoutout to Alex Campbell and Juan Pablo Hernandez who performed the work professionally at every step, from preparation to clean up. Also, a shoutout to Jim Dacpano, John Dalton and Dan Cartieri who assisted with the work ensuring smooth execution. I would 100% recommend Groundworks for any work related with leveling and fixing concrete stairs. Their customer service and attention to detail are superb Over all, the team delivered the job professionally

Do you service Antioch or Oakland?

Hi Jennifer, we do service both Antioch & Oakland.

Do you do foundation inspection in Martinez CA? If yes how soon can I make an appointment. Thank you?

Hi Sheida, yes we service Martinez, CA. The best way to schedule an appointment would be to directly contact us at our office 707-310-0602. We will also provide you with the soonest availability for a foundation inspection.

Do you service Stockton by any chance? Off Benjamin Holt Drive / I-5?

Hi, thanks you for messaging us. We do service the Stockton area for Foundation Repairs. Feel free to call to call us and schedule a free estimate and inspection. 707-310-0602

Hello do you guys do estimate for load bearing wall removal with possible power beam install, we want to do a kitchen remodel and want to know out a load bearing wall?

Hi Juli, this is not in our scope of work. We recommend you contacting a structural engineering firm.

Hi! Do you guys do re-leveling of mobilehomes/manufactured homes in Antioch, Ca? If yes, how much on average a doublewide would cost? Thanks!

Hi Jona, if the mobile/manufactured home is on a pre-existing foundation (not on cinder blocks) then we can help level/stabilize. Otherwise, that is not in our scope of work.

Do you replace screw jacks and piers? Ours have shifted and some are floating due to shrinking adobe soil. Thank you.

Hi Barbara, we do replace screwjacks and install piers. Please contact the office to schedule an inspection and quote at (707) 310-0602.

I sent email to Hannah regarding my foundation work done by Bay Area Underpinning and having foundation issue after the fix. The email is bouncing back saying Hannah not found. Whom should we communicate the issue?

Try 707-310-0620 (main number) or Darren at 707-315-2532

We had a shed installed in our backyard and even though I approved placement, my husband is not happy. It needs to be pushed about 4" back and 4" to the side on a cement pad. Can you help? Can send pix....

Hi Pam, thanks for reaching out! This is not something that we do. We lift and level settling buildings. We recommend you contacting the company who installed the shed.

Hi do you serve Brentwood 94513?

What followed was nearly a year of mismanagement, broken commitments, and financial consequences I'm still dealing with. They no-showed on the agreed start date. I called them at 10am to find out why -- they told me they were stuck on another job. No warning, no proactive communication. It only got worse from there. The job stretched into months of sporadic work. Midway through, they told me they needed a subcontractor for core drilling -- something that should have been identified during scoping -- then let months pass without scheduling one. My property sat in a hazardous state the entire time: open holes covered only by wood boards, piles of excavated dirt, debris, and equipment surrounded by caution tape. My homeowner's insurance company conducted a routine inspection, found the condition of my property unacceptable, threatened to drop my policy, and ultimately imposed a $2,000 surcharge. Resolving that took significant time and effort. Faced with no resolution in sight, I was pressured into accepting a reduced scope of work -- specifically, no tiebacks. Tiebacks were explicitly included in my signed contract and shown on the job drawing. Without them, there is no guarantee my home will remain stable on the hillside. I paid $52,130 for a project that does not solve my problem. After agreeing to the reduced plan, it took more months to redraw plans and pull permits, then more weeks to schedule the final visit to seal holes and reconnect drainage. On that scheduled day, they no-showed. Again. When they arrived the next day, they left without finishing. Their excuse: my gardener had told them not to proceed. My gardener -- someone I know well and trust -- told me he said no such thing. Norcal did not just take direction from someone with no authority over my contract. They fabricated an excuse to walk off the job. This company demonstrated the same pattern of behavior from the very first day to the very last: no communication, no accountability, and no follow-through.

Brett came out to do an assessment on our entire foundation and his finding was consistent with our own inspection report. Their recommendation is also on par and we find that Brett is quite knowledgeable about the scope of work. He is also very patient, responsive and respectful throughout the estimating project while we took a long time to decide, a lot of follow ip questions and requests. Not once that I felt rushed, pushed or disrespected. The team kept me informed on the timeline of permit, project starting time, inspection and completion, everything was transparent. They passed inspection without problemsx Our foreman is Humberto who was polite, dependable and kept me well informed on the work they performed the day of, when they finished work and provided needed before and after pictures. I also find their pricing is reasonable compared to other companies that we interviewed with the experience that far exceeds their piers. Overall I had a good experience with the crew. They are polite and really didn't interfere with our life that much while they work. I would recommend them for all foundation repair needs. Be careful because lots of foundation companies will scam you, just because you will not be able to see what they did underneath your crawl space. The last foundation company came out to fix our house they made a bunch of noise for 2 weeks, said they are done and then we hired an independent inspector and confirmed they did nothing. Spend the money on a good company. This one is probably the best one ( we interviewed 6 companies)

Ken showed up today promptly, and when I say promptly, I mean to the second level promptly, at 09:00. He clearly had read all the notes about my unfortunate situation, but asked me to update him with all the work I had done since my initial call. He was forming his plan of action in his head as I briefed him, after I had finished, he went out to his truck, put on his coveralls and went under my house and did a very thorough inspection. I could hear him moving things around under there and every now and then banging on things with his metal probe tool he took with him. He explored every corner of my crawl space, took numerous pictures and had a surprisingly good diagram of my foundation mapped out on graph paper ready to show me when we sat down to go over the results. The results..... He took a deep breath and said, "OK, we got a lot going on here," and proceeded to explain a little about the general layout of my crawl space, which was, let's just say not your typical crawl space, then he showed me his pictures, ("they were much worse than I imagined") and said, "so here is what I would do, if this was my mother's house". That pleased me very much, I said "yes that is exactly how I want you to approach this, I want it done right." I will confess, I am somewhat of a perfectionist, a retired perfectionist, that takes naps during the day, and used to do all my own work on everything, cars, carpentry, welding, etc., etc., you get the idea. I LOVE to buy tools, and by doing things myself, I could justify the expense of any specialized tool I needed to perform the task at hand, then I just self taught myself on how to properly do what ever needed to be done. "If you want the job done right, do it yourself," was how I rolled, until my body decided to start protesting. Ken layed out his plan and I loved every bit of it, because I know, his plan is a good plan, it is the plan I would have come up with myself, I loved this plan. It is proportional to the level of damage, but logical and measured in response. I haven't seen the quote yet, but I know enough to be able to visualize what they are going to have to do to properly fix the damage, and the difficulty level involved. I have no doubt, that when I see the quote, it will be fair, right Ken?

I was worried that the beam supporting the roof was not adequate and that was leading to foundation issues. Most online advice suggested to hire a structural engineer to inspect the foundation, as contractors may blow minor issues out of proportion an suggest unnecessary repairs. The structural engineers quoted me $500 for an inspection and they wanted pictures from a foundation repair contractor anyways, since they wouldn't go into crawl spaces. I was losing sleep thinking about my uneven floors, so I decided to reach out to NorCal Ram Jack for a free estimate. What was there to lose? After filling out their online request form they reached out within a couple of hours and scheduled an appointment the following week with Adam, their Foundation Specialist. Adam showed up early and I was easily able to communicate my concerns to him. He measured the elevation differential throughout my house, asked about details of the removed wall and installed beam, and answered all my concerns. He walked us through his thought process and what signs of concerns we should look for that would warrant a foundation repair. We are lucky that our house currently doesn't have issues of concern, but I wouldn't hesitate to contact Ram Jack again with the peace of mind they gave us.
