We just did a mid size project with them last month. We had them underpin one side of the house and replace a good amount of posts and repair some cracks in our foundation. Brett came out to do an assessment on our entire foundation and his finding was consistent with our own inspection report. Kyle initially came out to evaluate my project and give me a bid. His communication was clear, and he assured me there would be a direct line of communication between himself and the crew who would be doing the work, which was one of my priorities in choosing a contractor. His bid was a little less than another bid I got, but cost was not why I went with them. I cannot recommend foundation solutions. Their repair of a horizontal foundation crack in my house didn't meet their contracts scope of work description. "Chip away concrete as necessary to reveal entirety of corroded rebar and remove. Chip additional concrete to install new length of #4 rebar centered in stemwall," They did a surface repair a few inches into the wall, definitely not to the center as described in their quote, and shown by their own photo. It took several attempts to get the full 16ft quoted length of crack repaired, and 2 attempts to get the carbon fiber properly attached. They need to supervise the job and their workers more closely. read more

My house had a 4-inch settlement, leading to an undesirable steep slope in the floor. A portion of the foundation, located inside the home, was difficult to access for repair and also had a crack that required treatment. The underpinning work started about 2 months after I signed the contract due to the time needed to secure a permit from City of San Jose. Once the job started, I was very impressed. I contacted Foundation Solutions Because I was concerned about what I thought was a concerning crack in my foundation as well as some settling. I was expecting to have to spend a lot for a repair but when their guy came out he looked at the crack and the settling and told me they it wasn't anything to be super concerned about. He told me they could patch the crack for several hundred dollars but also told me how easy it would be to do myself with a kit from the hardware store. For the settling he also told me what they could do but also said that it wasn't very concerning. At the end of the day it didn't cost anything and put my mind at ease. He could have easily tried to sell me a big repair and I would have probably believed them but they were honest and I really appreciate that.
