The foundation of my father's home in Concord was sinking, and we hired Foundation Solutions to remediate the issue. From start to finish, our experience was outstanding. This is an exceptionally well-managed company, and every step of the process was handled professionally and efficiently. We obtained three bids, and Foundation Solutions was by far the easiest and most competent company to work with. They were willing to work with us on their proposal, and throughout the entire project they demonstrated honesty, integrity, and a commitment to doing things the right way. They use Ram Jack which was minimally invasive. They truly run their organization like a well-oiled machine. Our project manager, Brett Everling, was excellent. He kept us informed every step of the way, from the project planning to the city permits and construction schedule. Communication was outstanding, and everything proceeded exactly as promised (and even a little ahead of schedule). For a project of this size and complexity, it's remarkable that everything went so smoothly. The Foundation Solutions crew was punctual, hardworking, and incredibly diligent. They hand-dug the excavation areas, which was no small task, and they treated the property with care. The amount of concrete that needed to be removed was kept to a minimum, and the concrete repairs afterward were done nicely. We did have one issue with the sprinkler system after it was reassembled, but Foundation Solutions responded quickly and resolved it without hesitation. We just did a mid size project with them last month. We had them underpin one side of the house and replace a good amount of posts and repair some cracks in our foundation. Brett came out to do an assessment on our entire foundation and his finding was consistent with our own inspection report. Their recommendation is also on par and we find that Brett is quite knowledgeable about the scope of work. He is also very patient, responsive and respectful throughout the estimating project while we took a long time to decide, a lot of follow ip questions and requests. Not once that I felt rushed, pushed or disrespected. The team kept me informed on the timeline of permit, project starting time, inspection and completion, everything was transparent. They passed inspection without problemsx Our foreman is Humberto who was polite, dependable and kept me well informed on the work they performed the day of, when they finished work and provided needed before and after pictures. I also find their pricing is reasonable compared to other companies that we interviewed with the experience that far exceeds their piers. Overall I had a good experience with the crew. They are polite and really didn't interfere with our life that much while they work. I would recommend them for all foundation repair needs. Be careful because lots of foundation companies will scam you, just because you will not be able to see what they did underneath your crawl space. The last foundation company came out to fix our house they made a bunch of noise for 2 weeks, said they are done and then we hired an independent inspector and confirmed they did nothing. My large concrete driveway pad was settling and cracking, and I commissioned Foundation Solutions to level it, and repair some of the crumbling concrete. The experience was great. Kyle initially came out to evaluate my project and give me a bid. His communication was clear, and he assured me there would be a direct line of communication between himself and the crew who would be doing the work, which was one of my priorities in choosing a contractor. His bid was a little less than another bid I got, but cost was not why I went with them. Jason and Ernie then came out to do the work, and Jason had been briefed by Kyle with the nuances of the project. Jason was careful to describe what he thought would work best, and he kept me in the loop along the way. The work came out great, and no sooner had Jason and Ernie left than Kyle was on the phone to make sure I was satisfied with the work. After talking to Kyle, the general manager, he explained that the lift measurements were done from a different reference point, so the lift was not done all the way. He immediately said that they will readjust the piers and complete the lift as agreed upon. They came, adjusted the piers and now the house is within the expected specs. They also did another round of floor leveling (necessary after the lift), which they did very thoroughly, resulting in way better leveled floors than after the first lift. I am very happy with the outcome and grateful to Foundation Solutions for their incredible customer support. My house needed stabilization with piers and I hired Foundation Solutions(FS) to tackle this issue. I had three bids and chose FS as I found the interaction professional and felt confident in their competency. My experience was exceptional from start to finish. My project manager, Kyle was the first person I interacted with- he came to review the scope of work for my house. He was excellent; he took time to answer all my questions including some related to competency of the crew, liability issues and more- none of my questions were brushed off- all questions were answered and I felt most comfortable working with FS. Kyle updated me throughout the process on the timeline for permits and while the work was being done. I had a stellar Senior Forman, Humberto leading the project. His two additional team members, Andrew and Darren were awesome as well. They hand dug the excavation areas and treated the property with care. During the process we had a surprise- they discovered a grey line underneath the foundation, which is apparently not common. This was immediately communicated by Humberto to me and the project manager, Kyle. Because of the careful planning and work, no damage was done to the line- so a potential emergent situation was avoided and we were able to get a plumber on site to re-route the line and then continue with the work. I found Humberto hardworking, diligent, dependable who kept me informed on the work as they progressed. Humberto, with his two crew members, Darren and Andrew left my backyard cleaner after finishing the project than when they started. I have been very happy with the professionalism and clear communication demonstrated by those involved with my project. We just finished having Foundation Solutions (FS) complete a seismic upgrade to the foundation under the EBB program and fix some foundation cracks. FS was the cheapest of the three bids we received since they proposed the least invasive of the foundation crack repairs (50-75% cheaper than the other two since were going to cut out parts of the foundation). I confirmed with an independent engineer that FS's proposal made sense compared to the other two and the engineer confirmed that FS had a good rep, so we went ahead with FS, since why spend money you don't need to. Kyle was great to work with on all the paperwork for the EBB and Berkeley funding programs we were using. He was also very responsive throughout the process. We ran into a few hiccups along the way, but I am still giving them 5 stars since I work in construction and I rarely experience a project that doesn't have some hiccups, but how the contractor responds to the hiccups makes all the difference. Kyle always owned the hiccups and jumped into fix them without me having to push, throwing in some unasked for extras to make up for any issues. I cannot recommend foundation solutions. Their repair of a horizontal foundation crack in my house didn't meet their contracts scope of work description. "Chip away concrete as necessary to reveal entirety of corroded rebar and remove. Chip additional concrete to install new length of #4 rebar centered in stemwall," They did a surface repair a few inches into the wall, definitely not to the center as described in their quote, and shown by their own photo. It took several attempts to get the full 16ft quoted length of crack repaired, and 2 attempts to get the carbon fiber properly attached. They need to supervise the job and their workers more closely. read more

A portion of the foundation, located inside the home, was difficult to access for repair and also had a crack that required treatment. Foundation Solutions did an outstanding job lifting the foundation and carefully addressing the crack. They installed 1 helical pier and 8 push piers, including one inside the house. I decided to wait a full year before posting the review just so I would be able to go through a full season and be able to report on the overall experience with Foundation Solutions. Firstly, foundation repair just isn't fun at all and it is expensive. I went to four different services and got quotes and while the cost of placing piers was generally similar between providers, what set Foundation Solutions apart was that their recommended scope of work was substantially less than others (by about $80k in one instance). Collin made me feel confident with their expertise and the crew arrived when I expected and the work was completed in the timeframe they told me.
