This is the first time I've reviewed a company and this review is long over due. I hired Green Group to remodel my bathrooms and laundry closet. The project was a total and complete nightmare! Dan the project manager was very nice but completely incompetent. The job took over a year and so many mistake were made..Drains were installed improperly and redone. Wallpaper had to be redone because there were major gaps in the pattern and his workers admitted they don't do wallpaper. Had to hire someone experienced to redo it. That was a $1500 mistake. Sink wall plumbing was put in the wrong place and off centered over the mirrors so the entire marble wall had to be ripped out and re-plumbed, re-tiled and new mirrors had to be purchased. They had me work with their cabinet person for a custom cabinet because standard size vanities wouldn't fit, even though they measured and I planned for non-custom sized vanity. I ended up paying $10,000 for a custom vanity. The cabinet company closed down mid project, I'm still missing the side panel and it took over 6 months to get. They broke a pipe and cause water damage to bathroom ceiling below and did sloppy patching that had to be redone several times. The marble mosaic tile floor had to be ripped out and re-installed because it was completely uneven. I had to hire a marble person to clean the new floors because they didn't cover the floors when working and etch/stained the marble despite asking them to cover the floor constantly! We planned for floating shelves that ended up not fitting flush to the wall because they didn't make the walls very flat. So, they had to cover the 1/4" gap with caulk. This is only a handful of mistakes they made, the list is endless. There was little management of the two person crew that showed up late everyday. I was told it was because of traffic coming from east bay. They dumped paint and construction waste in my planters, killing my trees and promised to replace them and never did. There were many heated arguments about charging me to fix all of their mistakes. They ending up eating many of the costs rightfully, but forced me to pay half for many of their mistakes. After a year of hell, I eventually called the owner to try to work with him directly to get the job finished and he was wildly belligerent over the phone, yelling and insulting me. I felt very threatened by him and completely surprised how unprofessional he was. I wrapped up the job shortly thereafter, just to get away from this company. I've since hired a plumber and cabinet maker to clean up their mistakes. One of the most miserable experience of my life. read more

I normally don't write reviews but I had to share my experience with the excellent job that Adam, Jacob, Saul, and his crew did with my master bathroom. Adam walked me through every phase of the project so I knew what to expect at all times. Jacob was the project manager and, he understood what my vision was..........having a hotel/spa-like bathroom. Adam and Jacob went with me to look at materials at a showroom they recommended. At first, I was overwhelmed with the many items to choose from and they both sensed it! They knew what color I was going for.....grey and white and they easily pulled three tiles and I loved how it all came together! I went with their recommendation and you will see why once you look at the pictures below. Jacob was a gem to work with and I depended on him for his expertise. He made great recommendations even though I was a little apprehensive at first but I'm so glad I listened. He has a great eye for the design concept of the bathroom and really knows what he's doing. I was in good hands working with Jacob. He made sure I was ok with everything beforehand and constantly stopped by to check the work progress. Jacob assigned the best crew........Saul, and his team. They built a shower niche and bench for me per Jacob's recommendation. He suggested which tiles to use for the shower wall, the shower pan, the shower niche, and the bathroom floor. It all blended well and they did an AWESOME job! The details of the tile work and the precision were AMAZING! I couldn't find anything wrong and I looked at every tile placement and especially the corners! I was so HAPPY when I saw the completion of my bathroom! They nailed my vision of what I was going for. Now, my whole family uses my bathroom even though they have their own! My experience with this remodeling project was stress-free thanks to Adam, Jacob, and his crew. I will definitely work with them again. The next project will be the other bathrooms and the kitchen! I have recommended them to all my family and friends and even posted pictures of my remodeled bathroom on my FB account. The team lead for my project was Jacob who is a personable, creative, and professional contractor. He listens to your goals/vision, returns texts/phone calls promptly, and adapts to needed changes to the project without a hitch. Timeline was fairly right on and price only increased only due to our additional changes/upgrades during the construction. We had a very semi-completed area/crawl space behind our garage that he changed in to a nice gameroom/playroom/tv/gym room for our family. This increased our livable space by approximately 500sqft and we are quite delighted. The few visitors that have seen the space are amazed by it and we continue to enjoy it everyday. I worked with Jacob on a partial remodel on my condo (floor, minor kitchen items and updated bathroom). A condo remodel is challenging from the start due to working with the HOA on getting approval but Jacob was always very responsive and helpful in getting the approval needed to start work. I was referred to Green Group Remodeling by a family member who had his kitchen remodeled with them and was very content with the results. At first I was a little bit hesitant to go with a company I never heard of before but after meeting with Adam (the project manager) I felt confident that my project was in good hands. We hired Jacob + Green Group to redo our master bathroom. After bidding out to 4 companies, Jacob walked in the door and made us feel like we could get exactly what we wanted with the timeline and budget we had imagined. What we have learned, from past experiences, is the money and timeline get thrown out the window once the project starts. This was not the case with Green Group. My partner and are seniors, and were wary about starting the remodeling, and dealing with strangers. For health reasons we stayed away from the home during the remodeling, returning some evenings to check the project. Tiko would visit us at our temporary home, to clarify our concerns. He was an active and respectful listener.
