SOS roofing has been our go to roofing referral for years. Not only have they taken care of our customers. But they are also the only company that I trust to work in my own home. Installation crew was polite, respectful of my property and concerned about the impact that the work would have on my family regarding noise, etc. George, the owners communication was amazingly thorough and they were very quick to respond. Jordan- the field supervisor, checked every detail and made sure that his installation crew had what they needed to keep our job moving. Quality company, quality, materials, quality, installation, and amazing communication start to finish. read more

George and team are great to work with! I was initially scheduled for a roof replacement in January 2023. I had some work done w/ a bathroom exhaust fan in early December where we had to penetrate the roof before the actual roof replacement. George offered to seal the roof at no extra charge - as he was looking out for those of us waiting for us to get our roof replaced, specially with the heavy rains that are incoming! One of George's customer had an emergency and to move their dates later, and he was able to move up my schedule to December! I had a very old roof, and George and team ensured any dry rot was taken care of! He also ensured I had the standard plywood by code (previous plywood on my roof was only 1/8"). I also got the gutters replaced, and I'm very happy with the final product. The lifetime warranty w/ what George is offering is great value! read more

We had our roof done a year ago and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. We did have to wait a few months because they were so busy but if you can wait for them it is well worth it!! They did a phenomenal job and George is super to deal with Couldn't recommend them more read more

SOS Roofing recently replaced my roof, including having to unexpectedly deal with some dry rot, and they also organized the inspections. They did an excellent job. George was very professional and responsive, and his team were really hard workers. They were also very much more reasonably priced than another company that I got a quote from. They were recommended to me by a friend, and I would highly recommend. read more

I just had my roof redone by George and his crew and I couldn't be happier. I never told George this, but my dad was a meticulous woodworker who trained in Japan, so my bar for vetting a contractor is pretty high. For example, as a kid, I helped frame the house I grew up in and 20+ years later, I helped my dad reroof our house. In any case ... here's what I did during my vetting process. It seems there are two types of roofing companies on yelp. Big companies with multiple work crews and small companies with one or two work crews. I got four quotes, 2 from big companies, 2 from smaller companies including 1 from George. George's quote wasn't the lowest, but it was WAY lower than the quotes I got from the 2 big companies. Here's what the experience was like. Highly-rated big company: An administrative assistant called me back. SOS Roofing: George, the owner of the company, called me back. Highly-rated big company: A rep shows up at my house and tries to fly a drone over my one-story house to take pictures, but can't figure out how to start it. He then takes a ladder out of his truck but has difficulty closing the roll-up bed cover and starts slamming it. When he finally gets up on the roof with his tablet, he precariously leans over the edge to see if there are two layers of shingles after I tell him there are two layers. (I have visions of him sliding head first off my roof.) Afterwards I let him inside to inspect the attic to see if I have two layers of shingles. Apparently he thought he had x-ray vision, but I was amused and wanted to see what he would say. Afterwards, he tried to convince me to get rid of my solar panels. He also tried to convince me that his company could reframe my skylights and I could just reinstall the current skylights and save some money. SOS Roofing: A few days later George showed up and calmly asked about my roof and what I wanted. He expertly climbed his ladder onto my roof with just a pencil, tape measure, and notepad. I told him about the two layers of shingles and he took the time to climb back down, carefully reposition his ladder, and inspect the edge of the shingles from his ladder. He noted our skylights were not to code and told us a reasonable way he could replace them. After we selected SOS Roofing, George continued to communicate with us regularly in a professional and respectful way. His emails, phone calls, and all our conversations were conducted in a way that showed he really cared about the quality of his work. If you want to pay a premium to one of the bigger companies so they can cover their overhead such as hiring an administrative assistant, buying drones and tablets, and sending over reps who don't comport themselves with care, then feel free to do so. But if you want to hire someone who does everything with care, definitely go with SOS roofing. read more

I don't think I could have been more pleased with the professional way this company came across, prompt return of calls, and thorough evaluation of my roof not to mention very reasonable price and neatness in their work right up to completion. I would definitely give them a perfect score and call them again! read more

We are very happy with our new roof by SOS Roofing. George and his crew did an excellent job removing, repairing and installing a new roof. Estimate was very reasonable as was labor/material costs for dry rot repair. If you need a roof or repair, it will be worth your time to request a quote from SOS. read more

During the crazy round of storms we had I'm so grateful to have found George who provided great and fast service when we had a leak coming into the house. He gave my husband advice on how to help the situation since he couldn't get there that day (totally understandable). When he did come he gave us a great estimate and was able to return quickly before the next storm to fix the flashing. During another storm half of our shed roof blew off and he was able to get someone out here to fix that before the following storm as well. Greatly appreciate his fast and complete service! I have recommend him to multiple people since we hired him. read more

If your looking for a roof look no further than S.O.S to do the job right. George was the most professional contractor I have had the pleasure to work with. His detailed quote was spot on. There were no hidden costs like the other 5 quotes I received. We had rain delays due to the winter storms but he keep us informed as to when he could start on a weekly basis. There were some minor damages that were pointed out, but it was fixed and done right. I can't thank the crew enough for the job they did. They covered all the plants and deck area each morning and cleaned up each night before they left. The roof looks great. Richard W read more

Still just as responsive and honest as when I first wrote the review. Found another leak, and George came over twice to properly diagnose. Determined it's an issue with a window and not the roof, and I trust him due to my past experiences with him. Highly recommend him to anyone needing roof work. read more

I highly recommend SOS Roofing Co. I had several roofing companies come out and give me a bid. Their pricing was off the charts. George, the owner of SOS Roofing came out and we discussed what I wanted in a asphalt shingle roof and his pricing could not be beat. And the best part besides the pricing was that he was local and had worked in my area for 42 years. His résumé that he provides is so impressive I could not get over it. He brought me brochures that I could look at the material how it's made and pick out the colors that I wanted. He did not try and sell me things that I didn't need. He is so personable and friendly. I had to wait for 4 months on his schedule because they were incredibly busy as all companies were. But they came when they said they would and I cannot say enough good things about this company, George, and their crew are extremely experienced, efficient and very conscientious about everything they did in removing the old roof and making sure that nothing was left on the property or in my yard or on the driveway each and every day. I cannot say enough about this company. Their pricing and work is excellent. Nobody wants to go through the process of having to have a new roof put on but they made it so easy that I couldn't believe it. So fast and so efficient and so thorough. It was a great experience, and I highly recommend SOS ROOFING! Maggie Fair Oaks read more

Great, family run business. They do very nice work and at a fair price. Have recommended to several neighbors.

George and his team did a fantastic job on our roof. We received multiple quotes and although SOS Roofing was not the cheapest - George had great communication and was very pleasant during the estimate process. I am so glad we moved forward with him! There were a few rain delays but that was expected when receiving an estimate in December. His team came in and quickly removed and installed the new roof. They cleaned the backyard and front yard at the end of each day to ensure there were no nails or debris in walkways. I highly recommend SOS Roofing for your next replacement or repair. You will not be disappointed. read more

We just had our roof replaced (asphalt shingle) in October by SOS Roofing. I love that owner George Padilla drops in while work is being done to make sure the client is happy, and can answer questions, etc. SOS also did the neighbor behind us & we are both very happy. Professionalism, quality, warranty, and workmanship are top notch. We got several quotes prior to talking to George and were very disheartened by how much we were quoted ($17-$39k) as our house is only 1 story and 1250 sq. ft! I highly suggest you give him a call if you are looking for a roofing company you can trust, at a reasonable price! read more

We Needed a roof. Okay, that is an understatement. We desperately needed a roof. We called 7 different roofing companies here in Concord, and got estimates. George Padillia of SOS roofing was the most informative, gave us the most choices of roofing options and (miracle of miracles) Gave us the lowest estimate. Our roof had lots of missing tiles and lots of dry rot underneath. George showed us what we would need to have done and the costs for everything. The roof was done with minimal fuss and bother. SOS roofing had workers that were polite, clean , and extremely competent and professional. I have never seen a roof come off so fast (3 layers) or go on so well. Theyu replaced ALL the dry rot, made the house look new. They replaced only what needed to be replaced, trimming boards to fit the 1x9s (1950s) they replaced, keeping the house to its original spec. They worked hard and the product shows the skill. Great work George and Crew!!! Best roof in the neighborhood! The work is beautiful. Oh .. the came in at the budget.. even refunding materials cost of things they didnt need. Honest. Fast. Inexpensive. The best in the bay area. read more

I had my roof replaced last year by George and his team. He was incredibly professional from start to finish and even came out faster than anyone else I called for quotes. I felt the most confident in his ability to do the job well out of everyone else. I had him replace the roof and add gutters. Him and his team did it in the time quoted, and they fixed up the dry rot without issues too, preserving as much of the original wood as possible. George was more than happy to answer my questions during the whole process, showing me plenty of examples (including of already-installed roofs) for everything I asked! So far, I've gone through one rainy season and everything has been great! My house looks a lot nicer with the new roof too. :) I'm glad I went with him and had my old roof replaced before there were any issues! read more

S.O.S. roofing is fantastic! From the very start when I was looking for a roofing company to replace an asphalt roof, install new rain gutters, and deal with dry rot, to the very end, great communication, transparent to all the costs involved, and no surprises. Even with the weather getting in the way, George kept us appraised of when he estimated he would start the work. Once work began he kept to his timeline. Great company! Very professional! Would highly recommend. read more

We had had a leaky roof for eight years, ever since we did some home renovations and extended the roofline out in front. The leak was in the garage, so it was not as problematic as if it had gone into the living room, but it was a pain. We contacted the original contractor, but he was unable to manage an effective repair, despite several attempts. I tried to do it myself, but it still leaked. We looked at several companies but finally selected SOS for price and responsiveness when we called. George came out, checked out the situation, and understood exactly what was needed. He used a material called Karnac to get up and seal all of the possible areas that could have been causing our leak. True confession is that the first thing he did was to remove all of my amateur efforts to stop the leaking. The real issue in California is that you only know about leaking roofs when it rains, which is sadly not very often. Well, this last weekend it really rained, and our roof for the first time in all those years did not leak. George is a first-class professional who finally, FINALLY solved our problem. Thank you, sir! read more

SOS put on a new roof for us two weeks ago. My husband and I were very impressed with George's professionalism and knowledge. His crew did a great job from start to finish. I cannot say enough positive things about George and SOS Roofing. Honest, dependable, and overall great work-what more could you ask for. Six years ago we decided to replace our roof. I asked around and my co-worker told me about SOS Roofing. I gave them a call and worked with George. He took care of everything from helping us pick the roof materials to getting the job done. The crew came in and quickly removed our old roof and installed the new one without any hitches. They even boarded up an opening that we didn't know about and changed out some weathered plywood. Best of all, they cleaned up after themselves. I was very satisfied and have had no problems with the roof since. Fast forward to today when we are planning to sell our home. The skirts beneath a couple of windows and a skylight have pulled up a little. This isn't a functional problem for the roof, but it looks a little strange. Our realtor referred us to another roofer to get a quote to fix this and it came in at over $300! I called George and told him he we were going to sell the home. Without me having to ask, he offered to come by and take a look at the roof. He came over the next day and gave me a call. He said that the skirt that was lifting up was originally designed for our older, heavier roof and that it was easy enough to fix. He also found one code change and recommended that we repaint the vents. Best of all, he offered to just come over and get the work done. Clearly, he stands behind his work and understands what customers are looking for. George is a straight shooter and very pleasant person. I wish all contractors were this easy to work with. read more

S.O.S. Roofing, o rated by George Padilla installed a roof and rain gutters on our home in August 2019. George's bid was certainly a fair price and equally important was his prompt response to every question we had along with George's describing the different materials available as well as helpful suggestions regarding installation of some venting. In addition, S.O.S. started the work when George said it start and completed it when he said it would be finished.
