This allowed me to decide whether to move forward and I thought this was really respectful of my time. Then, Dago, the owner, came for the site visit and to discuss details. 2. No bait and switch In ironing out the details, there was some miscommunication about whether staining was included. Dago was able to meet us halfway with the price increase. This honest business style continued throughout the project and no change orders or unexpected price increases happened. 3. Detail oriented Throughout the project, we discussed details such as fence posts placement relative to tree roots, post height, etc. Dago was both available in person and by email via his assistant Maria. It was also nice to have responses confirmed in writing so that things were clear and there would be no bait and switch. 4. Personality Dago is a really nice person and I enjoy speaking with his about his geriatric dogs, etc. This also helped me not feel anxious about the project, because I felt that I could trust him. For this fence, we received multiple quotes. Two companies were in the $9-10K range, another was around $12K, and an outlier was above $20K. Dago's price was the lowest quote (with minute differences in material) and we are very glad we went with him!

After comparison shopping, we went with 8 Angels and Charles. Scope was to demolish the old asphalt driveway, haul away and put a new concrete driveway and have it graded for drainage. We also had them put a small concrete patio area in the backyard. They did an amazing job in 4 days from start to finish!! Day 5 was to retrieve the wood frames that held some areas of the concrete. Outstanding customer service We can't say enough good about the concrete work done by Legacy Landscaping. Cristian listened carefully to our needs and asked questions to make sure he understood what we wanted. He checked in the day before and when weather conditions changed the timeline. The team adjusted to changes WE made during the project and were always positive and flexible. They installed drainage under the concrete and added water faucets in various locations for future irrigation. They used a stamp and pigment to create the look of stone, working quickly and efficiently. The end result is beautiful and affordable. When one corner of the yard didn't drain as well as we liked , they came over the next day to correct this. We will definitely have them back for other landscaping projects and ongoing maintenance. read more

I can't recommend Cristian and the team at Legacy enough. From the start of my project (a 25'x15' flagstone patio) they were understanding, thorough and thoughtful. They provided a fast and reasonable quote and worked with me to determine a good start date. Once the job started, the team worked hard and did incredible work - you can tell they took the time to do the job right and not cut any corners. Cristian and his team were AMAZING. We needed old concrete, patio covers & sheds demolished along with pouring new concrete and installing grass. Communication was great. The retaining walls with stone, lava and another with wood were perfectly executed. I had a cleanup of the whole place and relocated big plants. We had QGL re-do our front yard. Everything was updated: old concrete driveway and abrasive patio…read morepavers were torn out and replace with new pavers (driveway and patio). The lawn, decorative plants, sprinklers, and drainage were all replaced. We are extremely happy with the outcome. The staff QGL sent was professional and communicative. Chris was our project manager and on site we mostly worked with Paco and a small crew of 2-3 people depending on the day. The project took about 7 weeks. We got 5 bids and Chris' team came in mid-range. At the time of collecting bids, it seemed a fair price for the work. Now that the project is done I'd say it was an excellent value and the best price for the quality of work we got. We especially appreciated Chris' input on the design and plant selection. We had a design from a landscaper, but made a few changes to the shape of the driveway, a small rock wall, and adding a tree. All of Chris' suggestions were fantastic- expanding the driveway line, using Napa basalt, and adding a Crepe Myrtle. Like any project there were a few hiccups,(change to paver pattern near edge, electrical line accidentally cut when tearing up old driveway) but everything was fixed quickly and professionally. The team also phased how the pavers were laid so that we always had a clear and paved walkway to either our door or garage. Tools were put away at the end of the workday and areas swept- this was especially helpful given that we have two young children. We've had at least 5 sets of neighbors tell us how great the front yard looks now. We've done a lot of major upgrades to our house in the 6 years we've lived here (new roof, exterior paint, pool resurfacing, solar install, interior flooring & paint), but this has definitely been the best overall experience and outcome. When we update our backyard, we will definitely call QGL!

I wrote them back within an hour or two to confirm. Nothing. Wrote them again on the day they were supposed to show up and they said they can't come to the appointment and offered appointments I couldn't do. These people really need to get better at communication and customer service.
