Clean, accurate work. Works proactively with your city around permitting issues. DETAILS: We had a whole house remodel and also exterior back garden (yard) remodel. We had two teams on site most days (landscapers and interior remodel). Our project time was about 3 months, with a couple of additional weeks due to delays caused by heavy rain (exterior work) and finding termites when we lifted our floors. The team took this in their stride and worked with us to keep on track. Overall our home has been transformed and we've now been living here for almost 4 months and have no problems to report. Everyone who has visited thinks it's lovely, and so do we! Miles is the general contractor/owner and he moves a million miles an hour if you let him. This was great for us as we were keen to complete our work quickly. He uses an app to communicate so everything is documented, easy to track and he is on there all day every day, so any questions get answered straight away. He is also pro-active and pretty much on site every day to check in with his crews. He is exacting in his standards which ensures a great end result. We had a bit of project creep which was down to us. Originally we were only going to remodel one bathroom but added on our principal bath too, which was a great call, if you see the photos or videos you'll see the house looks complete now. HOUSE: We had a new roof, new floors, new windows, added skylights and a bay window, reconfigured the kitchen totally (which was Miles' vision and we love it now - much more functional than before the remodel). Both bathrooms remodeled, whilst managing to keep our original bathtub. All the work is to a high standard especially the tiling in the bathrooms which looks amazing. GARDEN: Replacement of failing retaining walls (enormous project), addition of decking, stucco clad planting beds, two pergolas, and a recirculating 'stream'. Also new irrigation piping added. The team would have planted for me too, but I wanted to do that myself. This work was to a high standard. It really looks amazing. EXTRAS: We had a Modern Shed added to the backyard but that independent contractor let us down badly so Miles and his team worked a weekend and some extra days to finish the interior (drywall, electrical) and paint it for us. Over and above, and much appreciated. SUMMARY: We would use Accurate Home Remodeling again, and have been happy to recommend their work to a neighbor. Our existing shower valve wasn't swapped out by our previous contractor and our new shower handle didn't fit. Worse part? It was tiled all around and no longer accessible. So around Jul of 2019, we were looking to redo our kitchen. We had several quotes from different companies but didn't start our kitchen project until end of Oct. We chose to go with Miles because he was detailed and he listened. We got our first render around Nov 16 and was told the project would take about 4 to 5 weeks. Demolition started around the beginning of Dec. We then ran into low bearing beam issue and construction stopped for 2 weeks! So Miles had to readjust the completion date to Jan 6, then changed again to Jan 13, giving us the latest timeline of 26th Dec rebar for inspection with 24th and 25th Dec off. We understood the delay in getting the engineer out, the beam, the rebar and such. Unfortunately, Miles then told us Isaak and his team had to take Xmas vacation for a week and would be unable to start as planned. Now I wondered were we put on back burner so they could finish other kitchen project??? We had planned to invite family over for our annual New Year Day gathering but due to the project, we had set the date to Jan 19. With work not started until Jan 6, the completion ended up at the end of Jan. We are happy with the added space and openness of our kitchen. As with any major projects, there would be hiccups along the way. Miles was very responsive. Our only concern was the coverage of material costs (we pay for it ? or covered in the quote?) and timeline, like if the team is going to take one week off for vacation, include that in the initial timeline. In late 2019 we started taking bids for a complete kitchen remodel job which involved re-routing of plumbing lines from under a post-tension concrete slab. After seeing other contractors who were not convincing that they could handle the job, we met Miles Sanders the owner of Accurate Home Remodeling. We were also very happy with Miles' upfront communication and felt that there would not be any surprise costs after the project started. We were looking for someone to do some light work in both our bathrooms - new counters, sinks, faucets, toilets, shower doors, paint cabinets, remove the big ugly mirrors & install medicine cabinets, patching & painting. We had a great experience with Accurate Home Remodeling. The results are first class and we are so happy. They installed new cabinets, countertops, range vent, floating shelves and backsplash in our kitchen. They updated our stairway rail to make it look more modern. They painted and installed shiplap in our great room and one of the bathrooms. They painted two accent walls and they are beautiful. There were a few different crews to accomplish all of the work.
