This place is amazing! I met Wendy and Eva back in April of this year when I was inquiring about remodeling my kitchen. They are both extremely helpful and I am so happy with the end result. Bless Eva's soul because I was so indecisive with my backsplash and the countertop. I kept going back and forth and changing my mind at least 3 times. They were so booked out until August so finally my day came last Monday and it only took the guys 4 days to complete. During the process of planning, Eva asked me to send in measurements of my current kitchen so I did. She worked her magic on her computer and gave me mock-up of my kitchen. I told her I wanted to add another counter with cabinets since I was lacking that with such a small kitchen. Even after confirming the placement, I changed my mind weeks later and decided on an island. Eva and her contractor came to my house to do final measurements, which made me feel relieved because I didn't trust my measurements. I ordered the Kingston cabinets in the gray ash finish. It is beautiful and lights up my kitchen. To compliment that, I went with the Bianco Swan quartz countertops. I wanted a farmhouse sink and gave the measurements of that to Eva since I bought it elsewhere and it came out beautiful. Everything is beautiful! One thing I really commend JQ for is being super clean. They laid down ramboards to protect the floor and there wasn't any dust in my house. They always vacuumed after themselves. I had a kitchen remodeled before from another company and they were so messy. Dust everywhere, empty water bottles everywhere and they're measurements were so off that I couldn't use a drawer or cabinet. So having JQ do my new kitchen at my new house was truly night and day. I recommend them and I hope you see the quality in their work. read more

I recently updated our laundry room. One of the final touches was a quartz countertop for the sink cabinet. As the cabinet was only 42" my original plan was to have them use a leftover piece of quartz to fabricate the top to my measurements and install it myself. Eva was very helpful when I stopped by the showroom on two occasions. When the room was ready for the countertop I realized it would be much better to just buy a whole piece and let JQ do the measure and install. I am happy that I did! I had them use some of the leftover for a top on a wire shelving unit. The installer who came out did a stellar job. Very happy! IN 2018 JQ supplied cabinets and installed the countertops for a kitchen update that I did before selling my home. They are still doing quality work at affordable prices. read more

My husband and I had owned our home for a few years when we finally decided to do an kitchen upgrade (just counter, sink, and back splash) to increase the value of our home. There were some issues with ordering materials and since we had no experience doing a kitchen remodel, the process was a little frustrating. We had to make several last-minute decisions the day of the install so we would not have to postpone the project and lead to more expenses. JQ came up with good solutions on the spot and we were very happy with the result at the time of completion. It has now been about two and half years since we installed quartz counter tops in our kitchen and while I still LOVE everything we picked, there have been two main issues: 1) The main slab of the counter top cracked a year after install. We contacted JQ and they came to look at the crack, explaining that it can happen with exposure to heat and there is nothing they can do but seal the crack 2) The seal between slabs as well as the seal between the slab and the back splash is coming apart, which might just happen with time, but it seems like it should last longer than 2 years. This was our first big splurge on a remodel and we were hoping to do the bathrooms next. Unfortunately, we have to figure out how to fix the kitchen so our upgrades actually ADD value to the home before we can move on to the bathrooms. read more

I have not actually gone to the store to see the showroom, but wanted to give some thanks and gratitude to both Eva and Ming from EMG. Eva took a lot of time to show us countertop and tile combinations and help make some great suggestions on tile and countertop/backsplash for our remodel project. Her suggestions really made things a lot easier! Ming did the installation of Ceasarstone Quartz for our home and not only was the price much better than a major local installer, they were FAST. I think he did our entire kitchen, and 3 bathrooms in about 5 hours. I don't recommend being in the home the whole time, b/c it smells of chemicals, but the results were great! read more

So our sink counter had a seam right down the center of our sink. It started to loosen once water became an issue, and we had to call JQ a couple of times to come back and seal the seam again. After a few visits, they opted to replace the entire counter, free of charge. They put the seam on the left side and not down the center of the sink. We were so happy with their work before, so we didn't even think to stay while they re-did the counter. To our dismay, we came home and realized our countertop no longer matched. The two pieces were 2 entirely different shades of solid grey quartz! Now, mind you - if we had a granite pattern or something else, it wouldn't have been so noticeable, but we have SOLID GREY quartz countertops. You can clearly see the two pieces came from different batches. When we brought it up to Chucky the owner, he said it was just a little different. We called them back the following day and had a sit down with him and Eva, so she could translate (which was super frustrating). Chucky is the owner, and he basically told us that we were being super picky, and we had to fight tooth and nail to get him to agree to fix the issue. I mean, I was a mess - couldn't sleep until we had the sit down, and he finally agreed to change it once he came back from China. This was back in August and he has yet to resolve the issue. We paid them $20,000 and this is what we get. I would not recommend this company. The cabinet installer drank Chinese beer throughout the day, I know bc he left empty cans throughout the house. At this point, we couldn't do anything bc it was in motion, so I urge anyone who wants a new kitchen, do not go to JQ. read more

We recently had our kitchen counters redone and our sink, cook top and range hood replaced. JQ's employees came properly equipped, had a plan of attack for the project, and executed it with expert efficiency and skill. Their manager also communicated with us in a timely way, really unusual in this day and age in our experience. The workers don't schmooze with the customer like many do, but they do ask the correct questions as to preference when important option are part of the picture. Otherwise, they are all business. Over the past 40 years we have had many contractors. This was perhaps the best performance of any. On time, on budget. And the budget was very reasonable based on what we had found elsewhere. I am a tough critic, but JQ deserves the five stars for our job. read more

We found JQ on yelp after getting an estimate from Home Depot for twice what JQ quoted. It was a complete kitchen remodel, everything was removed, even a closet to make additional space. I was concerned about the cabinets coming from China. I shouldn't have been. They were made of solid maple, unlike the laminate cabinets from HD. They had all the features of modern cabinets with pullouts, built-in trash cans, lazy Susans, soft close drawers, etc. They are absolutely beautiful and work so well. Working with JQ's contractor, Jackie made such a stressful experience a real joy. Jackie is a perfectionist & obsessive about every detail. Everything he installed, whether it was the electrical, plumbing, appliances or cabinetry was done perfectly. He was very professional. He and his crew maintained clean & neat work areas. The job went smoothly & every issue was resolved quickly. The job was done on time and on budget. The staff, Eva & Wendy, were patient at the multiple revisions in designs. They had good suggestions & carefully listened to my needs. I requested glass doors with wood shelves, which was not in their showroom but they made it happen. The cabinet bid was 40% higher then their competitors, not detailed at all only one price (for the wrong height, which I had written in the email, not hard to get it right). When I called Wendy was so rude that my 14 year old that was in the car could not understand how anybody in business could be that nasty. She would only go over numbers in person if we met and not give me a copy for review. Lastly she never sent me the bid on the size I specced. If they are this nasty when they are trying to make the sale I can nay guess how they must be if something does not go right. Let alone stand behind their work. Diid not even have a sample of the cabinetry they wanted to sell us, had us look at a vanity, it is one of only two lines they sell. Do not understand. There are plenty of other cabinet and granite shops. I will be buying my kitchen from them. Think they may have had their relatives write the other reviews, they are SOOOO off. I don't understand why this company doesn't have more Yelp reviews.....and more recent ones. I'll admit, I was skeptical by going with them due to this fact. However Wendy provided me the most detailed estimate I received for our Quartz countertops. And I reached out to 5 other vendors. That alone was reason enough to reduce any apprehensions I might have had. Luckily they had the stone available in their warehouse that I needed, so they were able to get out to my home within days of our initial contact. Our counter called for a waterfall edge, where the horizontal counter returns vertically down the entire side of the cabinet. Their installers are true craftsmen. I'm picky. VERY picky. And yet I wasn't able to find one mistake, and I looked real hard. Their work is flawless, and the counters look amazing. Our undermount sink is perfect. They matched it perfectly! The granite has a discoloration on the seem and they didn't leave the large pieces left over after the installation as I asked them to. They wouldn't come back to look at the discoloration as they said they would and they wouldn't give me the left over pieces which I had asked for and paid for. I believe now that they sell full slabs to customers and then use left over pieces from other jobs instead of full slabs. They should have the customer pick out the pieces and mark them. read more

Not only did 'the owner" not take any responsibility but was aggressive and hostile. I had to file a complaint with the contractors board (which I won) and endure a year long arbitration to get my money back. I had to demo and replace all the work with they did. We walked the Warehouse with all their different Granite. We looked at the cabinets in their showroom. We sat and discussed options. They said they would call on Tuesday with the estimate. We didn't receive any call. We proceeded to call them and ask were our estimate was. They said they were busy and would call on Thursday. We received no calls! When I initially started looking for upgrades for my mother's kitchen countertops, I searched the standard, very highly priced Do-It-Yourself stores (Home Depot, Lowe's) and figured my mom was going to be into her kitchen for about $2500 to $3000 by the time all was done. I then thought, what the heck and, on a Sunday afternoon, browsed the internet and found EMG's site. Mom and I went to their warehouse and she fell in love with one of the several varieties they have there to choose from. After speaking to Eva, it was apparent that EMG was willing to provide a service well below the prices we encountered at the other stores. The question remaining was one of quality of installation. Without going into excruciating detail about how impressed I was and am, these people are incredible! My mother's kitchen was installed with the utmost attention to detail and a perfectionist's eye, and she paid $1500.00, saving over $1000.00 on any other estimate we gathered. I was so impressed that I asked them to estimate an installation on my kitchen. Again, Eva and crew came in well below the price of anyone else I checked. Prompt arrival and one-day installation, and now my kitchen looks phenomenal, too!
