The team at Bay Countertops was a real pleasure to work with. Efren and Tina at the front spent lots of time helping us with our kitchen countertop choices- we went with a nice quartz and took samples home for a while to live with it. Tina really kept us in the loop. Once time to instal the man of only solutions! Tobi was a fun person to have around and a hard working expert. Tobi returned to do extra tweaking as we had a new range installed. I cannot recommend them enough. read more

Bay Countertops - Quartz countertops - Kitchen & Bath Near Me - Richmond, California

I'm a retired builder/remodeler. Over the years I've worked with many subcontractors from all the trades and none have been easier to work with, more professional or have produced more impressive results than Efren and his team at Bay Countertops. Tobee runs an efficient installation and shares many helpful insights. The office staff makes every effort to work with your schedule. And I still marvel at the way the cutters have matched the veins in my quartz countertops. The showroom is well designed without being overwhelming, and is just a short drive over the Richmond Bridge from Marin to the Marina Bay Parkway exit off of 580. read more

I had a great experience with Bay Countertops. The owner, Efren showed up exactly when he said he would for the consult and estimate. He was efficient and detail oriented while taking the template for my countertops, and the turnaround time for install was exactly as promised. A week later Tobee and Enrique showed up, walked me through the process, and after I answered a couple questions they had the countertop in and looking great. Overall I would highly recommend them and I will definitely use them again in the future. read more

If I could give them 6 stars I would! The process of installing new kitchen countertops was seamless with Bay Countertops. Efren, the owner, is friendly, patient, helpful and kind. The installer, Tobbie, was incredibly efficient (!), friendly and supportive in helping me decide on some of the small nuances of a new installation. They were back to install the new countertop in a few days which was a *big delight. The only feedback I have for the company is for the scheduler, owner and contractor to all get on the same page about timeline - the scheduler kept saying 1.5-2 weeks, everyone else said a couple days. I was glad they came back within a couple days but knowing a more appropriate timeline would've helped me manage my work (and other responsibilities) in a more grounded way. I highly recommend working with this company! read more

I had a 100% FANTASTIC experience with the manager Efrem, and Toby the installer/measurer. They were professional, provided a super quick turnaround, met my budget, and were an absolute pleasure to work with. The quartz countertops for our small kitchen look GORGEOUS!! Top quality business all the way. I am so very grateful to have found them - and so glad I didn't go with another counter place (whose bid was twice as much) or the cheap laminate counters that I almost installed. My only regret is that I didn't take better photos. Bay Countertops has my highest recommendation - we'll be going back to them with another project soon. read more

I needed a countertop repair. I had an awful chip on the edge of my new counter, The man, Noe Carrillo, came with all the equipment and very soon I had my perfect countertop back! He was on time (early), professional and friendly. I recommend him highly and would certainly hire him again. read more

Efren and his team are such a pleasure to work with: quick to respond, good communication, great pricing and high-end quality work. My husband and I absolutely love how the finished countertops elevate the look of our cabinets and the entire kitchen. We highly recommend and would without a doubt hire Bay Countertops in the future. read more

This review is very late in coming! My husband and I were very impressed with the quality of workmanship and customer service of Bay Countertops. Our kitchen required a unique expertise and out of the box problem solving to finish the job due to the cumbersome removal of the old heavy duty epoxy counters and the odd configuration of our counter top space. They did not disappoint us. We highly recommend Bay Countertops. read more

I am adding to my previous review: Today Cesar came to my house and did the reseal. It looks good and I hope this is what is needed to prevent mould. It is good that this reseal was done; however, I hope that for the next customer it will not be as difficult to ask for help to resolve an issue. Cesar is a very nice individual, and I am pleased he came by to fix the problem. read more

Thank you to Bay Countertops, we are so happy with our downstairs rec room kitchen counter and custom island top (both in blue/gray granite) and the work you did! Efren and his team including Lauren, Tina and Robert and the installation crew were so knowledgeable and helpful every step of the way. (Additional big thank you to Lauren for communicating with us so thoroughly from beginning to end, even on your days off and after hours!) We appreciate the time & effort everyone put in to work with us on budget as we navigated through various material choices, dimensions, layout options, last minute changes, and customizations. Whether for measurements or installation, scheduled appointments happened as agreed and without delays (thanks so much Tina for keeping us on track!) The installation crew arrived on time, on the agreed date, with beautifully cut granite and then did a beautiful job with placement, polish, sink installation, and debris removal (thanks also for all the maintenance advice!) We are so happy we found Bay Countertops and and are in process of asking them to estimate other upcoming projects. We also love that they are a local privately owned small business :) read more

After waiting for years to replace our kitchen counters, we visited Bay Countertops office, where they showed us a Silestone quartz slab they had on site, (which turned out to be exactly what we were looking for) and scheduled the install. They were able to come to our house and do the measurements and the template the day after the demolition and installation of the plywood base by our contractor/handyman, and they returned to install the counter and 6" backsplash a couple of days later. Our contractor then finished up the plumbing and painting the following day. Everything went far faster than we anticipated, everyone was very helpful and friendly, it was a pleasure to have them working in our kitchen! We are 100% pleased with the job, and highly recommend them! read more

The crew here is excellent. We had a kitchen renovation job a few years ago and came here based on a recommendation. Caesar was upfront, honest, and even though there was a slight mistake, he told us that the next time we came back he'd make sure he made it worth our while. The work they do is top notch. The quality was top notch. The cleanliness they provide was too notch. They were in and out and left things better than they found them. Definitely are going to be coming back to them first in order to start our next project. read more

I don't often write reviews but Cesar and his crew were awesome. All we wanted was to match what was in our kitchen in wood with Quartz. We wanted the same thickness and the same curves but other companies said we couldn't have both the thickness and the curves and just pick which one we wanted more. Bay Countertops said no problem, they do it all the time. They were so confident I had to grill them to make sure they weren't blowing smoke. In the end they did exactly what they said they would. I uploaded pictures and the curves are incredible. The pattern even wraps and it's beautiful! Great company, great work and good prices. Not the cheapest or the most expensive but worth the money. We couldn't be happier. read more

Super responsive, well-priced and great results. We had a small chip on the corner of our solid surface countertop repaired and you can't even tell it happened! Will definitely use them again in the future. read more

We paid a 50% deposit to have our kitchen counter refinished. Adriana confirmed receipt of the deposit and said the owner Cesar was scheduled to come out to do the work. No one showed up at the scheduled time. No one contacted me with an explanation. No responses to my numerous voice mails and emails. Not the kind of business I can trust or work with. read more

Bay Countertops helped me with what I thought would be a 'minor' granite countertop project. But multiple other countertop installers said it wasn't within their abilities. Then I did find one other contractor who gave me a quote. Cesar at Bay Countertops came in at half their price! Communication was smooth, scheduling was easy, Cesar's team arrived and knocked the job out quickly. (Ok, sure, they arrived a little later than they originally projected, but in my prior experience, that's the case with 95% of all contractor appointments! I'm not going to hold that against them.) I don't have any set plans for more countertop work in the future, but if I do, I will definitely turn to Cesar and Bay Countertops first! read more

Bay Countertops was just what I had been looking for. They had excellent prices and selection, stellar turn-around times and great options for installation. Their team doing measurements was bright, attentive, professional, and competent, and Adriana, my salesperson treated me like a long-lost friend. She called me and emailed me to sort out details and adjust to all my needs. Highly recommend them. read more

We are so grateful to Bay Countertops for helping us get the kitchen of our dreams! I called this company to do my countertops. When someone answered, they requested that I do all of the measurements and sent a picture to them of my kitchen. They also told me to draw out a diagram. I felt like this was a bit much for me being a customer but I did it anyway. After I sent them all pictures with measurements and a diagram, they never got back to me. I called them and the guy said that he will get a quote to me later that day. Never heard from them again. So 1 star because customer service is everything. We will be spending thousands of dollars on the countertops. At least they should do the measurements and get back to you with you having to call them back. Plus, what if my measurements were wrong? read more

Bay Countertops - New countertop and breakfast bar - Kitchen & Bath Near Me - Richmond, California

My uncle started losing his strength and when he used the bathroom, used the sink as a support. Over some time, the pipes became unaligned and leaked. I added legs to the sink and sealed up the pipes, but thought it would be nice to add a counter to the bathroom. I found these guys on Yelp and were happy too know they were local. They came on over and I told them what I wanted, even though I didn't know the terminology, they knew exactly how I wanted it. They gave me several samples of granite and finishes to look at, and I just went with the simple stuff, but it still looked great to me. One big hiccup that bothered me during this whole process was that when they removed the old sink, they caused an even larger leak, though temporarily. I would have to replace the bucket every 5-6 hours to avoid flooding my bathroom and hallway. Unfortunately, the first night I was unable to do so and I woke up to a damp hallway rug and a bathroom covered in water. Luckily this was only for one weekend. That explains the removed star. They were also late to one appointment, but they deducted $100 off my bill which made that all good, but the flooding was the real pain. I have also recommended Bay Countertops to other friends and family. They have had less luck with BC as they don't seem as responsive as they were to me. Despite all this, my family and I were very satisfied with the end product and are glad we went with BC. read more

Don't believe the 4 1/2 star reviews that you see here! It is a lie! It's probably all of the owners close friends and families trying to hype up the place. I contacted the company via yelp to ask for an estimate and they turned me down. They accused me of using a "fake" photo and told me they didn't do commercial work based on ONE photo I sent. I reached out to the owner and clarified that I was not requesting for any commercial work. I own the condo that I live in and that I wanted to upgrade the counters. He asked that I give him a call so he could send someone to my home. However, I didn't feel like it was necessary since I am shopping around and comparing prices. I am only asking for a ballpark of how much it would cost. I sent all measurements and photos of my kitchen and bathroom as he had requested previously but did not get any response after that. There's plenty of great places in the bay. I will gladly take my service else where, where I am welcome and not accused of something based off of a petty photo! read more

I highly recommend Bay Countertops. We recently ordered our countertop through this company and we were extremely pleased with their service. Our quartz countertop/backsplash came out beautiful! Caesar was a pleasure to work with and ensured every detail was handled in a timely manner. Bay Countertops not only has a great selection of full pieces ready to customize, they have a ton of remnants in many sizes. We wanted white quartz for the bathroom. This was a tiny countertop so a remnant was perfect. They treated us and the project like it was a major project. We wanted a mitered edge so the top and front (and side) would be seamless. Wow, wow, wow, did they do an awesome job! May be hard to see in the photo because all you can see is smooth quartz - and that's exactly what we wanted. We're still deciding whether to have them cut a backsplash, so that bit is missing, but I wanted to get this up now. read more

abso the worst experience I've had in 15 years in the building trades. They gave a high bid but promised a quick turnaround, which was important on this job. They didn't show for the first template appointment, no call. They didn't show for the second appointment no call, no communication. Lots of excuses and three more no shows and three weeks past the other lower bid, and they say they're going to give a discount. They show up late, finish the job with a bunch of problems, then send me a bill with no discount, then threaten a mechanic Lein when I call them on it. A total nightmare. Avoid this lousy company. read more

I am not sure if I have ever posted a review on Yelp before, but Cesar and his crew are just awesome. Let me preface by saying I know I can be a hard customer to work with because I tend to ask a lot of questions and often want to think about decisions for a bit before moving forward. Cesar was super patient with me as we were making decisions for our kitchen countertops, and he spent the time to walk me through all the different vendor products pros/cons as well as the different dimensions of the slabs for our project. I went in thinking I wanted a particular brand, thickness, and style of counter tops, but after talking with Cesar, we ended up going with a different brand, thickness, and style, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Once we made a decision, the process went by very smoothly. His crew is extremely professional, and their work is really impeccable. Very impressed overall! Can't say enough good things. Due to a lot of the shelter in place issues, they can be hard to get in touch with, but their skills are well-worth those challenges. read more

I am a Interior Designer so trust when I say that Bay Area Countertops are by far the best fabricator serving the Bay. Caesar is professional, prompt, and has honest competitive prices. I LOVE these guys! They are professional, courteous, timely.... just all around great guys. I had a countertop company double their price and reschedule me for a month from the original install date, needless to say I cancelled them but had to find someone quick. I would recommend Bay to anyone and I look forward to working with them again. Great customer service still exists :) read more

Top Notch! Exceeded Expectations by a mile! My wife and I went to numerous tile and stone places and visited various fabricators, and we were very happy that we chose Bay Countertops in Richmond for our home in Marin County. Caesar was extremely responsive and gave us great advice on materials, design, color as well as practical installation issues. The crews arrived on time and did a fantastic job. It is real artistry to get everything finished just right and the workmanship was really impressive. They paid great attention to detail. What was really impressive was the follow-up. They needed to come back and finish a couple of little details and they arrived just like clockwork and made sure the job was completed to our full satisfaction. They also had some beautiful remnants and they made a 36 inch round dinette table for us that is fantastic. Could have saved us a great deal of time if we went there first instead of running around the bay area. We were concerned when we started thinking about redoing our kitchen counters and backsplash that it would be a big and painful ordeal, It truns out it could not have been easier. Would highly recommend. read more

Very pleased with our new kitchen countertops (Silestone quartz in blanco orion). Cesar was able to work within our budget and schedule. The wait time between template and install was only one week! I give these guys a 10 star review if I can! I first got countertops from Home Depot and was a total disaster. I called them and they came to my rescue! They were able to do the bath tub without seams (unlike Duracite who came with four seams) and they gave me a quote over the phone since I had the template already. Efren came to measure and was able to install for me in a week knowing I have been stuck with a non working bathroom for months!
